Convention Displays...Scrapbooking...

Here are a few 6x6 scrapbook pages I made for the Display Boards at convention this year. This first one is using the "things I love" set and it was quite fun to make. I LOVE pink, brown, and glitter! So using things I love with the "thing I love" set. :) Haha. Anyway...here is the first page. I have a picture at the bottom of this post that actually has the page up on the display board with the picture I put on it.
Here is the close-up of the glitter...
Here is my second 6x6 page. (I also did a 8x8 and a 12x12 page which I will share later. :) ) This was I was trying to get some of the new In Colors used so I used Dusty Durango and Soft Suede. The background was done with a VersaMarker (just colored in the part of the stamp I wanted) and then embossed with clear embossing powder. (A picture of this one with the picture I used on this page is below as well.)
Here is a close-up of the background and such...
Here is the picture of the "things I love" page on display with a picture of my cousin and I (HI EM!) after a FUN shopping trip for new Easter outfits when we were roommates YEARS ago!
And then here is the "Sweet Season" page on display with a DARLING picture of my baby girl when she was actually a baby...eating her yummy holiday sweets of baby food sweet potatoes. :)

Display Cards...

Here are a few more cards that I made for the Display Boards at convention...

This one uses the "Hello Again" stamp set. The bottom is Melon Mambo textured card stock. I LOVE the detail textured card stock gives on cards. The middle of the flower is a fun button in the Sherbet package of buttons. (Which you can earn FREE until Aug. 31st.)
Here is a close-up of the details. I used Tempting Turquoise grosgrain ribbon, and I did some paper piercing going to the "hello" sentiment.
Here is a fun birthday card. I added Crystal Effects to each of the images. You can see it better, hopefully, here...
This next card is much prettier in person. The top is Very Vanilla textured card stock (already stated how much I love this stuff. :) ), and then the bottom is the new Rich Razzleberry. I embossed the center focal point. Close-up picture below...
I used Iridescent Ice embossing powder. LOVE the sparkle this stuff gives any project. I just stamped the image twice and used punches to punch out each part that I wanted. I used some new ribbon from one the Ribbon Originals packages as well.
This card was fun to do. I decided I wanted to make an ornament Christmas card. So I used the largest scallop die and my Big Shot to make the card. I covered the top with the round tab punch and added ribbon to complete the look.
Here is a close-up...
I also used Iridescent Ice embossing powder here to shimmer up those ornaments as well as the "Merry Christmas" sentiment. Here it is all opened up...
I hope you enjoy and thanks for visiting!

Gift Set...

Here is a gift set I made for someones event. They wanted each woman (it's a night for women specifically) that attended their function to have a going away gift. These are what I will be making for them...
I made a bag/purse with the Fancy Favor Die. I LOVE this box/purse/bag/whatever you want it to be....I use it all the time. I actually use it a lot more than I even thought I would. (I use these flowers a TON as well. They weren't my fave in the catalog, but they end up being my "go to" flower. It is the Flower Layers #3 die.) I made this box in to a purse by just adding a ribbon handle. Here is the whole package from the top. :)
And then the inside has a Post-It note holder and a small bag of chocolates. Obviously...everything coordinates...even the chocolate bag has that same flower tag for a tag. The color combo is Kraft, Bermuda Bay, Chocolate Chip and Rose Red. Then the obvious Old Olive accents with the leaves. :) Some close-up's are below...

The Post-It holder up close.
And opened up.
And don't forget the little bag of chocolates. :)
Hope you enjoy! Thanks for visiting!

Baby Gift Card...

One of my husband's employee's is coming back from maternity leave, so he and his team got her a gift card to welcome her back. Well...he went to the store to get it and then was just going to take it to her in the little cheap paper envelope that comes with it. So OF COURSE I had to step in and let him know that just wouldn't cut it . :) I took it down to my stamp room and came back with something just a bit more fun. :)

I think this looks a little better, right?! :) I just took a 12x12 sheet of Designer Series Paper (I LOVE this paper so much...even though it's retired. I thought it was the perfect paper to use for this project as well.) Then I made an origami cup. These are so easy to do, I LOVE doing them. Let me know if you don't know how and I would be happy to do a tutorial if that would help.
Then I just put the gift card in a cello and tied it with ribbon. Then insert it in to the pouch and you are done! So much better than the tiny little cheap envelope that came with it. :)

Here is a close-up of the scallop and envelope. Both the scallop and the circle are from dies with my Big Shot, and I added some faux stitching around the circle and than carried that to the elephant. I stamped the elephant twice...one on the circle and then one on a scrap piece of white that I cut out and put up on dimensionals.
Hope you enjoy! Thanks for visiting!

Halloween Fabulousness!!!

I just HAVE to share this card with you because it's SO AMAZING!!! (No...I didn't make it so I can say this. :) ) While I was at convention, I had lunch with my fellow Rising Stars. I am SO GLAD that I have met this amazing group of women! 14 of the 15 of us were there, and the one that wasn't able to come sent a swap card! So we all got to swap together and it was great! I will have to share more of those cards, but I wanted to show you this Halloween card. It's SO much fun! I LOVE IT!!!!

It's a stair-step card and I just think it is SO MUCH FUN! I'll have to do a tutorial on this kind of card sometime soon, if you don't know how already, because they are SO much fun! Enjoy!!! Thanks for visiting! :)

Convention Displays...

It really was fun being able to design some projects for convention display boards. It was a fabulous challenge, and hopefully I will get to do it again one of these years. :) Here is a big sign that was right before you saw the displays. It was a surprise to see this, since I didn't know they were doing it. I circled my name so you could see it. :)

And here a few of the cards I made...
I really love this color combo. This card was fun. I actually did a lot of embossing on my projects...because I felt that would make things show up better when they were hanging on the display boards. Here is a close-up of the card...

This image is from the "Sweet Season" stamp set. I stamped it twice in Real Red and punched one out with the Scallop Circle punch and one with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch. Then I layered a 1 3/8" Real Red circle in between. I love the look that this gives. Too much fun. Then I just inked up the saying stamp with a Chocolate Chip marker so I just got the part I wanted.
On to another card... This card uses the "Hello Again" stamp set. The images in this set are small, and so I decided I would make my own Designer Paper. :) That was one of the major challenges for me in making these samples. I had VERY limited Designer Series Paper to use because I could use nothing that had last year's In Color's. Which was practically every one. :) And I LOVE Designer Paper. SO....I made my own. Here is a close-up...
I put some textured card stock on the bottom (I LOVE the detail that adds to any project!) and again embossed the "celebrate you" phrase. I also love those jumbo brads...they are the 5/16" size. I put one in the center of the flower and then 2 more up on the top left corner. Love them. This card is cuter in real life, but hope you enjoy!

Precious...

I have to show you this one last convention gift. I think this is so cute and thoughtful! Here it is all wrapped up with that beautiful Crushed Curry ribbon...
And then here it is after it's all opened up, how precious is this?!?!
This gift is from Tiffany. I met Tiffany at Founder's Circle...she was #1 Rising Star last year. She was a great leader for us last year, and I'm so thankful I met her. She is such an amazing person, and so thoughtful and sweet. I was lucky to get to pick her up from the airport when she came in for convention, so I got a few minutes alone with her. It was great to see her and thanks for my fabulous gift! :)

More Convention Gifts...

Sorry I haven't posted in a few days. We've been sick in our house, so not a whole lot has gotten done on my list of things to do. :) Sorry! But I've been wanting to share these other fun gifts I was lucky enough to receive at convention. Seriously...I'm so lucky! :) Here is a matchbox done with the Big Shot matchbox die...
I LOVE this Designer Paper (To The Nines). It's all textured and fabulous!
Then some yummy treats inside. :) This matchbox was done by Phyllis. She's a FABULOUS person, demo, crafter, and FRIEND! :)
Look at this next cute project...
This was made by Shirley who is also FABULOUS in every way! It's been fun to watch her grow as a stamper. She started out very unsure of herself and now she just goes for it and does such amazing things!!! :) Shirley...you are awesome! :) Here is the inside...
She made her own gum cover! Love this idea and I'm going to have to try it. :)
This last one was from one of my roommates at convention. We actually met through splitcoast stampers, but turned out she was my sideline!!! (We have the same upline a few uplines up!!) And we've become great friends and have been roomies the past 2 years for Leadership, and now Convention! Deborah...you are wonderful in every way as well! :) Here is her fabulous gift that she gave me...
She made 3 matchbooks and then made them in to a treat dresser! :) TOO MUCH FUN! Here is the inside...
Each drawer has a YUMMY treat inside!
I have loved looking at these gifts over and over and remembering all the fun of convention! Seriously...the best part for me is truly the relationships I have made through being a part of this amazing company, Stampin' Up!

Going Digital...

Stampin' Up! made an announcement in January that they are working on a Digital Scrapbooking program. It is called "My Digital Studio." I really like the paper crafting process, so I was unsure what to think. HOWEVER...now that I have seen what this program can do...I'm SO excited for it! Leave it up to Stampin' Up! to come up with SUCH an AMAZING program! Seriously...you will be shocked! Although the program isn't available just yet (it will be sometime this fall and is listed in the new Holiday Mini), I wanted to give you a sneak peek at some things you can do! Stampin' Up! has even partnered with a printing company that you can order your projects from that will match Stampin' Up! colors (since printer colors can vary so much)! I am thrilled! Although I don't see myself going to only digital scrapbooking, I think it will be super fun to make some fun books and to also do some "hybrid" scrapbooking. (Taking digital layouts but then adding embellishments for dimension and such.) Enough chatting...here comes your sneak peek! :)

Look at these amazing cards!!!!!

And look at some pages in the books they had on display...
And some of the covers...

And a different sized book...
Even a CALENDAR!!!
Seriously...I can't wait for everyone to see it! It's fabulous! You can use their templates they have pre-made already or create your own. You can use stamp sets, change sizes, punches, Designer Series Papers, etc, etc. It's SO much fun! Anyway: hope you enjoy and hope this inspires you in some way! :) Thanks for visiting!
