Kristina's Color Inspiration #50

Doing Jaron's Color Inspiration Challenge made me realize how much I missed doing them. :) So over to Kristina's blog to do hers! :) I did these faithfully when she first began, then just didn't have much time to do them. So thanks to Jaron for reminding me of how much fun they are! Here is her color inspiration...

This card I am submitting is the 2nd one I did with this color combo. I will show you the first one later, but this is the one I am posting for this actual inspiration challenge. I LOVE this color combo! It's TOO cute! The pop of turquoise is so much fun. On to the card...
I have to say...this is really glittery in real life. The owl is all sparkly. He is the chipboard owl from the chipboard pack in the catalog. Then the "Happy Birthday to you!" is all glittery as well. I stamped it with Tempting Turquoise craft ink and embossed with Iridescent Ice powder. The stamp is from the birthday stamp on the "Under $10" page at the back of the catalog. (Yes...the ones you can earn FREE this month! ) Then the background has some glitter as well. I just stamped it in VersaMark and embossed with Iridescent Ice powder as well. Here are some close up's. First one is the owl...so you can see how glittery he is...
Then here is the sentiment all glittered up!
Thanks for visiting! Hope you enjoy! :)

Cupcake Shaker Box...

I am SO EXCITED there are window sheets in the Mini Catalog. I have been wanting to make a shaker card or something "shaker" since I saw them. So last night I did. :) The scallop part is the shaker part...hopefully you can see that glitter in there. I made the scallop shaker and then didn't know if I wanted it on a card or what. I decided to break out the Scallop Box Die and my Big Shot, and that's what I made. It was SO EASY! Gotta love how easy the Big Shot makes things!!! The shaker is attached to the scallop top of the box and then it closes with a Velcro dot. You could put any fun treat inside or maybe even a fun stamping gift (bag of ribbon, accessories, etc, etc.). So many possibilities! :) Here is the box...

And here is a close up of the shaker...
Hope you enjoy! Thanks for visiting! Let me know if you have any questions!

Jaron's Color Challenge #1

I love color challenges. I really do. They really make me step out of my color boxes and give me....well.....a challenge. :) I haven't done one in awhile because I just haven't had much time for "play" stamping. However....last night I couldn't sleep so at about 1:00 am I noticed a challenge on Jaron's blog. Now...Jaron used to work for Stampin' Up and I AM SO SO SAD he doesn't any more! HE WILL BE SERIOUSLY MISSED at convention and every Stampin' Up! event I attend. He was my favorite person to see up on stage demonstrating, and his fun personality will definitely leave a gap. So I just had to do his color challenge when I saw it on his blog HERE. The color combo we were challenged to use is Old Olive, Taken With Teal, and Soft Sky (a past In Color). Funny thing about using Soft Sky...I was cleaning my stamping room last night while I couldn't sleep and was trying to organize buckets of ribbon. :) I came across last year's In Colors and I grabbed Soft Sky and said, "I REALLY miss this color!" Then just a little while later...there was a reason to use it! :)

Anyway...I first did a card. I wanted to keep it simple. When I was looking through stamps deciding what I wanted to use I saw this phrase, "wishing you a happy heart" and grabbed it instantly. Because that is what I wish for Jaron right now! Here is the card... Pretty simple. Although I love the glitter. Here is a close-up picture so you can see it better...

I wasn't 100% satisfied with this card and was having fun with this challenge. So I decided to make a box using the Box #2 Sizzix die.
Those flowers are from the "Doodle This" stamp set. Just stamp, cut out, put a dimensional in the middle of the flower, curl the flower petals a bit with a bone folder to make it easier to bend, and just bend them all back adhering the tips of the petals into the dimensional. Easy peasy and I LOVE the flower it makes!!!
So there you have it. The only thing bugging me about this project is I have to find candies in these colors to fill the box with. That will make me feel better about it. :) Thanks for visiting! And thanks to Jaron for the challenge! :) (FYI...I'm in the process of trying to add labels to all my posts. So give it time, but they are coming. I'm sick of searching all over my own blog to find things myself. :) So yeah! :) )

Mega Card Night Part 2...

Here are more cards that we made at the Mega Card Night I went to last Friday night. Too much fun, I have to say! :) The first four cards are made with the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set...

These next four cards are made with the Great Friends stamp set (in the mini catalog)...

If you look real hard in the card above this, you can see a transparent strip. That is one of the window sheets in the mini catalog cut thin. The butterfly rolls down that strip to the bottom of the card....so it's a moveable card. FUN! :)

Hope you enjoy! It was so much fun making these cards! It was a crazy, busy night and so much fun! Thanks for visiting!

Wagon Fun and Don't FORGET!!!

This past weekend I spent at a Stampin' Up training done by my upline. It was FABULOUS and we had so much fun! Since it was about an hour away, I got to stay in a hotel with some of my great friends! We had a blast. I will be sharing some things from this event over the next little bit. First of all I wanted to show you some cards. :) Friday night was the big card making night. We make 24 cards in one night! It's super fun! I got the chance to help my upline design some of the cards she was responsible for. So I'm going to show you some of the ones that I did that she used. She made changes, so I'll show the actual cards we made later. NOW DON'T FORGET! I have a color challenge posted with a prize!!!! It's a few posts down so go check it out and play! :)

Here are the cards. They are all done with the "Wagon Full of Fun" set from the mini...
Can I tell you how much I love this set?! :) Hope you enjoy! Thanks for visiting! If you have questions...ask away!

Swapping Time...

If all goes well, when this posts I will be at a team training. I am leaving in just a few minutes, and staying in a hotel with some good friends tonight. We stamp all night and then tomorrow have our training meeting. Jealous?! :) Yes....we have a good time. Anyway...OF COURSE we swap at this event. :) So I have been in a mad dash trying to get some done before I leave. The theme for the swap is "All about Punches" or something like that. It's suppose to focus on punches. So.....I came up with this one first....
But I decided not to do this one. I like it, but something was off. So I game the same basic layout a-go again and came up with this...
This is the one I ended up doing. I love the colors and think it's just fun. And yes...that is the scallop circle punch that I just cut and sponged and layered to make the flower. It has lots of dimension, so it would be hard to mail. But FUN to hand deliver! :) Here is a close up of the flower...
Hope you enjoy! Thanks for visiting! :)

Sneak Peek....

Look at this FUN stamp set that will be coming out in the NEW catalog...
This was the stamp set they gave us as one of our gifts while we were in Hawaii. It was in that basket filled with other stuff as well. TOO much fun! I LOVE it! Now this project I'm sharing with you was one of our make and takes. I think this is SO fabulous! I didn't make it until I got home (could NOT get enough of that Hawaii sun time!!!!), and I just fell in love. :) So here you go...
Here is the front. It's an accordion purse! :) We even got to personalize the front with our initial.

Just a close up of the flower detail. Looks like a lot of cutting but it really didn't take much time at all!

Then how fun to add this little butterfly trail detail. So clever those people at Stampin' Up! :)
Then here is an up close picture of the accordion. Both sides are the same. I just realized I didn't get a good picture of the inside, but there are Pumpkin Pie dividers in each of the accordion fold. It's TOO cute! :)
And look at this clever closure. Yes...brilliant. :) You will be seeing more of these in the future because I am in love. :) And I LOVE this color combo! I should do a color inspiration challenge and use this combo. Hmmmm...maybe I will! Even offer a prize to the winner! Hmmmm...there is a thought. :) Just FYI...the color combo is So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, and Real Red. Hope you enjoy!!!
