On Stage Swapping...With Butterflies Galore!

Yes, I still have lots to share from the On Stage event that I went to earlier this month.  (On Stage is Stampin' Up's convention.  This year was the 30th anniversary celebration.)  Today I want to share one of the swap projects I did.  This swap was with my TGIF Design Team.  I LOVE these girls!   We did a 3D item swap this time.  I need to share all the swaps I received...because they are so beautiful!  Today I am just sharing the swap I made.  If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram...you saw this sneak peek photo I posted before I went to On Stage:

(And if you don't follow me...you should!  :-)  Instagram is @designwithink and Facebook is just Design With Ink.)  Isn't that pile of beautiful Melon Mambo butterflies just so much fun?!  I love them!

Well...it's about time I show the final project!   Here it is:

Colors: Coastal Cabana, Melon Mambo, Mango Melody, Lemon Lime Twist
Cardstock/Papers Lemon Lime Twist, Melon Mambo, Basic Black, Watercolor Paper, Tea Room Specialty Designer Series Paper
Stamps: Detailed With Love, Banners For You
Tools: Big Shot, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Springtime Impressions Thinlits, Bunch of Banners Framelits, Heat Tool
Accessories: Linen Thread, Whisper White Embossing Powder, Brusho Crystal Color, Metallic Pearls, Gold Library Clips, Striped Treat Bags

I truly love this bag!  The stitched circle part is kinda my fave:

The watercolor wash is done with Brusho.  Those magic crystals are captivating. So much fun to use!!!  Here are just a few more up-close pics of the details:

What do you think?!  Want to make one yourself?!  You should!

Look at how fun they are all piled together:

TGIF Challenge 187...Double Sponging:

It's time for another fun TGIF challenge!!!  Who is ready?!  If you have never participated before, you should!  Every Friday we have a challenge and you just make a project inspired by the challenge and post it on our TGIF Challenge blog.  It's a lot of fun!  Here is the card I made for today's challenge:

Colors: Crumb Cake, Berry Burst, Pool Party, Basic Black
Cardstock/Papers Crumb Cake, Berry Burst, Pool Party, Basic Black, Vellum
Stamps: Warm Hearted (Hostess Stamp Set), Buffalo Check
Tools: Big Shot,Stitched Shapes Framelits, Swirls & Curls Embossing Folder, Sprig Punch, Heat Tool
Accessories: Linen Thread, Whisper White Embossing Powder, Gold Shimmer Paint

Any guesses on what the challenge is?!  😀  Hint...it is technique time:

I love sponging!  So much fun!  Can you spot the TWO ways that I sponged on the card above?!  Yes...I am an overachiever.  Hee.

In case you didn't spot them...I will tell you.  😀  First up is the embossed piece.  I embossed a piece of Berry Burst cardstock first:

This is great just as is, and I love the embossing.  But...look how much those swirls & curls pop when you take a sponge and rub some ink over it:

Kinda fun!  Then next up is something I discovered recently when I was making Thanksgiving name tags for the table.  I sponged some Gold Shimmer Paint over Crumb Cake cardstock.  Kinda fell in love, so decided to use it here also:

I wanted some inconsistencies and in real life, it is so shimmery.  Love it!!!   Want to see some of the details up close?!  Well here you go!

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE the Buffalo Check Background stamp!  😍

I hope you enjoyed this card!  Let me know if you have any questions!  And head on over to the TGIF Challenge blog and play along!  Can't wait to see what you make!

T-Shirt Tag to Name Tag...

I just got back from Stampin' Up!'s On Stage event...their convention.  And it was the 30 year celebration!  And What. A. Blast!!! that it was.  I have SOOOO much to share about the event...and I promise that I will!  (If you follow me on social media...you have heard some of the excitement.  If you don't follow me yet...just search for Design With Ink and come follow along!  😀)  But today I wanted to share a fun little project I did before the convention.  My upline had a big team event while we were there, and we ordered team t-shirts and everything.  Well...she wanted me to make a tag for the shirts, that would double as the name tag for our event.  Challenge accepted!  Want to see it?!

Here I am holding my shirt with the tag on it!  How fun is that?!  Love a cute little rolled shirt with some handmade bling on there!  Check out the tag...

ColorsWhisper White, Pool Party, Basic Black, Silver
Cardstock/Papers Whisper White, Pool Party, Shimmery White, Basic Black, Silver Glimmer Paper, Silver Foil Paper
Stamps: NONE!
Tools: Big Shot, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Celebrate You Thinlit Dies, Tin Tile Embossing Folder, Sprig Punch
Accessories: Silver & Pool Party Baker's Twine

It was easily tied onto the shirt and then you could pin it onto your shirt for your name tag.  And can we talk about the Sprig Punch?!  Oh man!  I use this one ALL the time!!!  It's a winner for sure!

And one more shot...

And look how cute they all are...

And then the table of shirts...

I so hope you enjoy!  Do you wrap all your t-shirts like this?!  😀  Thanks so much for visiting!  Would love to hear what you think!  Let me know if you have any questions!

Sea of Textures Swap Time!

On Stage is now over, but I hope you had fun following along with me on social media!  (If you aren't following me on Facebook or Instagram...head on over there and follow me!  Design With Ink)  It was such a blast!!!  I will have more to share when I return home!  Today, however, I wanted to share the swap card I made for a group swap that I was in.  I love organized swaps because it's usually all I have time for!  (Swapping is where you make a designated number of one card, and swap with others that did the same!  A great way to get a bunch of ideas!)

I love the Sea of Textures stamp set (with coordinating framelits!) and that's the stamp set I ended up reaching for with my swap!

ColorsWhisper White, Soft Sea Foam, Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo
Cardstock/Papers Whisper White, Soft Sea Foam, Pool Party, Shimmery White
Stamps: Sea of Textures
Tools: Big Shot, Under the Sea Framelits, Seaside Embossing Folder
Accessories: Linen Thread, Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins

Do you like that octopus as much as I?!  And funny thing is...I think they are SUPER ugly in real life.  Gag.  Me.  But on paper....so much fun and oh so cute!  I love a good ocean theme.  😁

Look how fun to see the whole pile of them.  Am I the only one out there that LOVES seeing all this hard work in a photo?!

So much fun!!!  And let's not forget to show you some details...

Little peekaboo of the Seaside embossed Soft Sea Foam cardstock.  💕

This octopus is so much fun to stamp.  I inked him up in Flirty Flamingo first, and then sponged a little bit of Calypso Coral ink over that.  It is pretty subtle, but I like the variation of colors on him.

Can't get enough of these sequins!  They rock my world!  😀

I so hope you enjoy!  Please let me know if you have any questions!!!  Thanks so much for visiting!

30th Year On Stage Begins...with gifts!!!

If you aren't following me on Facebook or Instagram yet, YOU NEED TO!  I am sharing highlights from Stampin' Up!'s 30th year On Stage (convention) celebration!!!  Just search for Design With Ink and follow along!!!  We are having a blast!!!

Today I wanted to share one of the gifts I made for this event!  I made a whole lot of these because I made them for a fun gift swap I was in and also made some other so pass out to friends.  I am SOOOOO thankful for all the friendships I have made through Stampin' Up and so I love to have little goodies to pass out. Want to see?!?!  First photo is from the gift swap I was in. I'm kind of in love with these.  😍

ColorsWhisper White, Night of Navy, Melon Mambo, Powder Pink, Shaded Spruce, Soft Sea Foam
Cardstock/Papers Whisper White, Night of Navy, Soft Sea Foam, Shaded Spruce, Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper
Stamps: Abstract Impressions
Tools: Big Shot, Stitched Shapes, Sprig Punch, Petal Burst Embossing Folder
Accessories: Linen Thread, Rhinestone Basic Jewels

How cute is this?!  I basically copied myself for this.  I posted THESE awhile ago, and thought it would be perfect for this purpose!  But this time I used the Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper pack.  Totally swooning over this!

I just love all the patterns and colors!  Look at some of them before I filled them...

Photo overload because I can't get enough.  Haha.  Want to see more?!  😀

This sprig punch is pretty much my favorite.  Love the little accent it adds behind things.  Such a fun and easy element.  😍😍😍  If you don't have this yet...my professional opinion is that you need it.  😁

Then look how cute it is with either candy or a fun gift in it...

I just love this so much, in case you couldn't tell.  😉  Please let me know if you have any questions!

It's A Joy...Treat Box:

Have you noticed the Clear Treat Boxes in the catalog yet?!  If not...you really need to look.  😁  They are so cute and I love making fun little treat boxes with this.  This project is super quick and easy!  Although I do have a sad note to tell you.  The "joy" word on this project is from the Festive Farmhouse Elements that are now sold out.  I'm so sorry!  However...I am sharing this project still because:

1.  That Buffalo Check background stamp is 😍😍😍.
2.  You can easily just replace the wood word with a stamped greeting die-cut word from our fun Big Shot dies!  🙌

So...on to the project!!!!!

Colors:  Cherry Cobbler, Gray Granite
Cardstock/Papers:  Cherry Cobbler, Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper
Stamps: Buffalo Check
Tools: Big Shot, Stitched Shapes Framelits
Accessories:  5/8" Striped Burlap Trim, Festive Farmhouse Elements

What do you think?!  See why I still had to show it!  SOOOO simple and easy, yet I don't know anyone that wouldn't love receiving this!!

And here it is when the box is empty.  (Just a note...those are chocolate covered almonds in there above.  😋)

I hope you enjoy this project!  Thanks so much for visiting!  What are your holiday creating plans?!  I would love to hear!  Also let me know if you have any questions!
