Year of Cheer Beauty...

I don't know about you, but when I saw that "Year of Cheer" suite in the catalog...I was stunned. It. Is. So Gorgeous!  I instantly fell in love.  Sooooo...I have been playing, and will have some fun projects to share using this suite over the coming days.  (This was also a Make & Take for a big demonstrator training event my friend and I put on last weekend.  It is called Suite Stampin' Success.  Stay tuned for a big post on that event!  😀)

Today I am sharing just a quick and simple winter card you can easily re-create.  It's a New Year's card, but you could easily swap out for any other sentiment and it can be a card for any occasion that you need this winter...

Colors: Whisper White, Gold, Champagne, Bronze, Soft Suede, Sahara Sand
Cardstock/Papers: Whisper White, Whisper White Thick
Stamps: Cheers to the Year
Tools: 1 1/2" Circle Punch
Accessories: Pearls, Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape, Gold Mini Sequin Trim
Those strips on the left side is the Washi tape that is apart of the suite.  It's shimmery and metallic-y and just gorgeous in person...

Just amazing!  Then that greeting has a sliver of the Champagne Foil paper behind it.  I LOVE the mixed metallics and how fancy it makes it feel.

I hope you enjoy this card and that it inspires you in some way!  😀  And in case you don't know what suite I am talking about...Just look at this picture from Stampin' Up!'s Holiday Catalog that shows how beautiful this whole suite works together...

Last week was our club group meetup.  I LOVE getting together with my peeps!  And I also love sharing the projects that we make with you!!!!  So want to see the project we made?!  :-)

I like to focus on the holiday that is coming up in the next month, so it was all about Halloween for us this month!

Halloween is all about treats, right?!  So treat holder it is!  This was made with the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits...which I LOVE!  And made with the Spooky Cat Bundle...which I LOVE LOVE LOVE!  :-)

TGIF Challenge - 125: Wherever You Go...

I LOVE to travel.  I love seeing new things, meeting new people, learning about new cultures, etc, etc.  So this week's challenge is an interesting one...

It's all about TRAVEL this week!  So fun!  Now...technically the challenge is about modes of transportation.  But for me...traveling is all about you attitude.  And these challenges are suppose to be inspiration for you to get creative.  :-)  So...I did.  Hee.  See...when I travel I love to talk to locals of wherever I am... and some people think I ask them too many questions.  But truly...I'm so interested in how things "work" wherever I am...I just want to know it all!  I truly travel with my heart.  And leave a part of my heart there.  So...that was where I went with this challenge...

(Plus...I am a sunshine girl and much prefer being somewhere sunny and warm.)

The sentiment on this card: "Wherever you go, GO with all your heart" is truly what I try to live by when I travel.  This world is a big amazing place and I love seeing it!

ColorsPool Party, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
Cardstock/PapersWhisper White, Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo yardsticks
Stamps: Wherever You Go
Tools: Big Shot, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Sparkle Embossing Folder, 1 1/2" Circle Punch
Accessories: Linen Thread, Delicate White Doilies, Rhinestones

What do you think?  HOW do you travel?  I can't wait to see what you do with this challenge!

***TIP*** To get this two-toned image on the sunburst stamp, I first inked up with my lightest color--Daffodil Delight.  Then I just lightly tapped just the edges of the stamp into my next color ink--Calypso Coral.  Easy peasy.  :-)

Head on over to the blog: TGIF CHALLENGES to play along!  I want to see what inspires YOU about traveling!!!!

I always love color challenges because color is always the first thing I decide on for a project.  So first step DONE right from the get go!  :-)

Here is my challenge project!!!! ...

I was in the mood for a fun little treat that I could pass out.  This was such a quick and easy project!!!

Stamps: Wood Words, Hardwood
Tools: Big Shot, Wood Crate Framelits, Classic Label Punch, Scalloped Tag Topper

First I just stamped the Hardwood Stamp onto Early Espresso cardstock.  Then cut out two of the box shaped framelits, adhered them together, added some chocolate to the 3" x 6" Gusseted Cello Bag, then made my tag.  Easy, breezy!!!
