Simple Glimmer...

Sometimes simple is best, right?!  Well, here's is a super quick card you could whip up in a jiffy.

This is such a quick and easy card.  I used a notecard, colored a part of the Watercolor Wash background stamp...

Placed my notecard over the part I colored, and rubbed over the back of the card (to get the ink onto the card)...

Then just glued on my heart that I cut out from Gold Glimmer paper, and stamped a little greeting.  That's all!  So quick and easy!  And the glimmer is so shimmery in real life!

Sunshine Wishes Tag...

One of the gals in my club is truly the BEST!  She brings EVERYONE a cute little gift at EVERY club meeting.  Seriously...amazing!  We wanted to put together a little surprise thank you for her, so we all got together and bought her some product from the new catalog.  Here is the bundle all put together...

I wanted to make sure that not only we gave her some fun items, but that it looked cute going to her!  So I wrapped it all in a cello, and added a fun tag made with the "Sunshine Sayings" bundle.  Love that scribbly heart die-cut and the "love" die-cut.  Love. This. Bundle!

So...what do you think?!

It's Time To Shake And Party...

I LOVE SHAKER CARDS!  A card AND a toy in one!  How much fun is that?!  Here's a shaker card I made recently...

May be hard to tell, but you shake the card and that "stuff" in the middle moves all around...

And loving this stamp set, "Confetti Celebration" that I used.  So. Much. Fun!  Look at all the fun images...

It's a great set!

Stampin' Up! also just came out with a great help for shaker cards.  They are called Foam Adhesive Strips and help you make the "shaker" party of your card stand up tall...

So I cut out my frame, glued on a window sheet, and then added my strips like this.  Also added dimensionals on bottom so bottom of card wouldn't be all weird...

Then just punched some confetti pieces, added them to the center, removed the backing on the foam strips, added the White cardstock that I had stamped on to it, and then adhered it to card front.  So fun!

Quickie Thank You...

Remember when I posted about the party that we had at our house on July 4th?!  I posted it HERE if you need a reminder.  :-) Anyway...I had to borrow some stuff from some of my awesome neighbors to pull it off.  And I wanted to give them a thank you.  So...I gave them some freezer "pops" with a fun tag on it...

I kept them simple, but I thought it turned out cute.  Here is the tag...

This may be a bit 4th of July themed, but you could easily change colors and make it more summer-y  Would be fun for any thank you that you need for the summer. (I just made the "for making our party pop" on my computer.)

Hope you enjoy!  Thanks for visiting! Let me know if you have any questions! designwithink@gmail.com

Love. It.  So quick, easy and fun to change or use to create lots of different looks!  But guess I will quit talking about it and just show you...

July Club Project...Triple Popcorn Box

It was my club group this week!  Yay!  Love my club group.  We have a great time together.  And I'm sure you love it because you get to see what we make...right?!?!  :-) How about I share a fun box we made with the Popcorn Box Thinlits?!  :-)  However...I wanted to change it a bit from how it was intended to be made.  The normal box is made with 2 of the Thinlit pieces and look something like this...

So cute!  Love it!  But....we altered it a bit by simply making a box with three of the thinlit pieces.  And it ends up looking like this...

ColorsSoft Sky, Wild Wasabi, Basic Gray, Flirty Flamingo, Gold
StampsReady To Pop
ToolsBig Shot & Popcorn Box Thinlits, Triple Banner, Medium Star, Decorative Label, & 1" Circle Punch, Sponge Dauber
Accessories: Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate, Gold Glimmer, & Neutrals Designer Series Paper, Flirty Flamingo Ruched Ribbon, Gold 1/4" Natural Ribbon, Gold 1/8" Ribbon, Gold Binder Clips, Gusseted Cello Bag

How fun is that?!  It ends up becoming a hexagon...

Love.  This!  Although I love the size of the Popcorn Box...this one is fun too because it's bigger...which sometimes you need.  I used some of the stamps from the coordinating stamp set "Ready To Pop"  (These two items are available in a bundle for a discount!!!  Yay!) to make a fun focal point...

The box itself, I make polka dots with a sponge dauber...

Hope you enjoy this project!  And anyone is welcome to join my club!  Get the supplies for 2 projects a month FREE with your order!  You also get a PDF instruction sheet to show you how to put the projects together.

Thanks for visiting!!!  Let me know if you want to join my club!  designwithink@gmail.com.

Seriously. Love. This.  The stamp set is fabulous...so many greetings you can make.  Take a look at those thinlits...swoon!  Love. It.

I sat down with this bundle, and this card just flowed.  Love when that happens, because it doesn't always.  :-) Do you want to see the card, I'm guessing?! :-)  Well here you go...

Love this color combo!  Here is the list of supplies that I used...

4th of July Festivities...

I LOVE celebrating the 4th of July!  And this year was extra special...we had a family reunion at our house for the 4th.  It was great fun!  Lots of people, lots of food, lots of fun.  We had it at our house because we have a pool, and it worked out great because it was a HOT day!  Here are a few pictures from the day...

First up...of course I had a banner!!

It says "Freedom."  I've been wanting to make one of these for years, glad I finally have done it!  :-)  We have this pavilion out by the pool and it was the perfect thing to decorate, so I just put some pennants all around it...

(I was running around a lot that day so didn't get too many pictures.  Wish I had gotten one of the whole thing.)

Then we had a bunch of tables set up.  I didn't want to go crazy with decor, but I wanted a little something festive on the tables.  So made some tissue paper flowers and spray painted some mason jars.  Here are a few shots of the tables...

Then I had a memory table set up. This was a reunion for my Dad's family.  My Grandma died almost 16 years ago, but I still cry whenever I think of her.  She was just one of those ladies that made a huge impact on everyone she came in contact.  I feel so lucky that I got to be her granddaughter.  My Grandpa is still alive, and I was hoping he would be well enough to come.  He wasn't able to make it, however, but we still had a table set up for him and my Grandma...

I love the little decor piece I made.  It turned out so cute...

That is just a whole lot of styrofoam balls with punched flowers pinned in them...

And here is a pic of my niece and nephew helping me with making this late one night.  Hee...

All in all...it was a fabulous day.  My hubby even had a big firework show at the end of the night (in honor of my Grandma...she LOVED the 4th and LOVED fireworks).  Here are a few random pics from the day...

This was our adult swim time!  (For all of 10 minutes.  The kids occupied the pool most of the day.  :-) )

My cute family! (The photo booth I had done kinda totally fell down, so quickly improvised.  And I had seconds to grab a quick shot of us before the sun went down.  Haha.  Gotta love the quick shots...we did the best we could!)

My two oldest girls were quite into the fireworks...

It was a great day!  Thanks for visiting!  Hope you enjoy!!!  Let me know if you have any questions!  designwithink@gmail.com.

In Memory Of...

I have been very fortunate to have four fabulous and amazing Grandparents.  Three have passed away already, and it has left holes in my heart.  I miss them terribly.  I made a 12x12 layout of my Mom's parents...they have both passed on to the next life.  I love so much about this page: the color combo, the fun embossing, the layout, but most of all--the picture of them.  My Grandma HATED pictures of herself, but I am sure glad she let us take some anyway!

This is what I love about scrapbooking or memory keeping.  I don't do it enough, but want to do it more.  It keeps the people we love alive in our hearts, even when they have passed on.  It isn't the same as having them next to us, but it sure does help!

Love how that white embossing pop's on the Crumb Cake paper!  And using Flirty Flamingo and Bermuda Bay together with Crumb Cake--swoon!  I will for sure be using this color combo again!

The stamp set for the flowers that I used here is a hostess stamp set called "Fabulous Flora."  So fun!

Treating It Up With Sweet Sugarplum...

Gold is so trendy these days.  Turns out...it goes SO WELL with the NEW In Color, Sweet Sugarplum.  Look at this fun treat bag made with these colors...

I used the "Love & Affection" stamp set to emboss some gold flowers onto the treat bag.  Then added some Sweet Sugarplum elements--and Voila!a fun treat bag to spread around.

A Little 4th Fun...

Monday is the 4th of July!  I LOVE the 4th!  Such a fun celebration.  This year should be a blast...we are having a family reunion at our house on the 4th!  So....I got a little craft with making some 4th of July decor!  We just recently had our house painted (they finished on Tuesday!) and it's been a ton of work getting things back together.  (Not that they are all back together yet, but we are working on it.) Anyway...I obviously wanted to just decorate our mantle with July 4th decor...and just not worry about how I would decorate it for the "everyday" just yet.  SOOOOOOO...here is what I did...

As you can tell--we went light and airy and bright in our house.  (It used to be a dark tan.)  And I don't want to clutter anything up...just want to keep it light and airy.  So...kept things simple, but I love it!!!  (I do have a banner I may end up hanging, but we will see.)

Here are a few close-up's of what I made...

These are just Mason jars painted.  I first spray painted all the jars white.  Then...for the navy stars one...I punched out some stars from painters tape using the star punch.  ***Tip:  put the painters tape on wax paper first and then punch.  Makes punching easy, and then you can just peel the star from the wax paper.  Then stick the stars randomly on the jar, spray paint the jar with navy spray paint, and then peel off the stars.  For the stripes, I just added 1" painters tape around the jars (after it was sprayed white) and then spray it red.  Peel off the tape, and voila!

The flowers in the jars are just tissue paper flowers I made.  (Do I need to explain how to do this...let me know and I can share!)

Then finally...

I needed another little piece of decor.  I don't find a lot of 4th of July decor I really like in stores because I don't decorate too vintage-y or rustic or anything.  I'm more of a clean line gal.  So...I just made this in about 3 minutes.  This is a white frame from IKEA.  I just added some Dapper Denim Designer Paper and then cut out a star from Red Glimmer Paper and adhered it on.  Simple, clean, easy, and (I think) way cute!

Hope you enjoy!  Here are all of the pictures put together...

So fun!  Makes my heart happy to see it!  Let me know if you have any questions! designwithink@gmail.com. Thanks for visiting!
