It's An Animal Party with Zoo Globe! TGIF Challenge 313 Is Here!

It's FRIDAY!  Who is ready for the weekend?! 😁 Who is ready for a NEW & FUN TGIF Challenge?!  I have to admit...this was a challenge for me.  I don't do a lot of animal stamping.  BUT...this card came together quick, and I'm a bit of a fan of it.  Hee.  Why don't you tell me what you think?!

ColorsWhisper White, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party
Inks: Blends Markers: Light & Dark Daffodil Delight, Light Pool Party, Memeto StazOn Black Ink
Cardstock/Papers: Whisper White, Thick Whisper White, Magenta Madness
Stamps: Zoo Globe
Tools: Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch, Absolutely Argyle, Rectangle Stitched Dies
Accessories: Woven Threads Sequins Assortment, Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack (White Twine)

Aren't those giraffes sooooo cute?!  I love them!  That whole panel was colored with Blends markers.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE these markers!  They color GORGEOUS...even if you don't blend!  For the stamped panel, I colored the spots with the dark Daffodil Delight marker.  Then the body was colored with the Light Daffodil Delight.  The background was colored with the Light Pool Party marker.  Easy peasy!

Pretty much love that cute little pop of Magenta Madness also.  I just can't stop using it!!   I love the double bow done with the Whisper White twine also.

But here's a fun little tidbit.  Want to know how I got that scallop on the side?!  ...

Here is a hint...

Say, what?!  That's RIGHT!  I used the Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch!  So much fun, right?!  😁  Here is your official invitation to join us in this fun challenge this week!  (Just make a card and then go post on the TGIF Challenge Blog!!!)

And then why don't you take one last look at this cute card:

Cute Fruit Pineapple...Simple Stamping:

If you are just starting out with papercrafting, or remember what it was like when you started out, it can be overwhelming!  SOOO many cute things and you probably want it ALL!!!  😁 (Wanting it all isn't something that changes, in my opinion.  Hee.)  I wanted to share a card that was using minimal supplies to show you that you can get a few basics and really make fun and cute projects.

ColorsWhisper White, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana
Inks: Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, StazOn Jet Black
Cardstock/Papers: Whisper White, Coastal Cabana
Stamps: Cute Fruit
Tools: Subtle 3D Embossing Folder
Accessories: Woven Threads Sequins Assortment, Linen Thread

Have you noticed the Cute Fruit Stamp Set in Stampin' Up!'s Beginner Brochure?!  (Click on Beginner Brochure if you haven't seen it!)  I LOVE IT!  I simple stamped the pineapple images a few times across the center of the card...WITHOUT re-inking!  (This is called "generational" stamping or "stamping-off."  This card...I stamped two pineapples before re-inking.  Then for the 3rd pineapple, I re-inked and then stamped onto scratch paper before stamping onto the cardstock to get that lighter color again.) That means with one ink pad, I got a variety of shades of color!

Then just a few basic and inexpensive accessories...some sequins & linen thread...create some fun interest and they both go a long way!

Now...I did emboss the cardfront on this card for a little extra texture.  But it is TOTALLY optional!  It still looked adorable before I did that!

So...again...for beginner papercrafters or those that don't want to own it all (gasp! Hee.)... here is a brief list of what I think are super versatile supplies that can take you a long way!

  • White Cardstock
  • Variety Pack of Cardstock (like a color family pack)
  • Stamp Set that has both fun images and greetings
  • 2-3 of your favorite Ink Colors
  • Black Ink
  • Linen Thread
  • Sequins
And that's it!  Let me know if you have any questions on anything!  Would love to help you with all your papercrafting needs!  This is SUCH a fun & stress-relieving activity...which I think we all could use right now.  😀Thank you so much for visiting!  Let me know how I can help you!

Cool Ice Cream Cone Builder...

Do you love the Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch as much as I do?!  I just think it's the cutest and sweetest little thing.  (Which is fun, because the stamp set that coordinates is called Sweet Ice Cream.  Hee.) So here is a card I made a few weeks ago that I've been staring at for awhile.  Hee.

ColorsWhisper White, Purple Posy, Magenta Madness, Gorgeous Grape, Basic Black, Gold
Inks: Purple Posy, Magenta Madness, Gorgeous Grape, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, VersaMark
Cardstock/Papers: Purple Posy, Whisper White, Basic Black
Stamps: Sweet Ice Cream
Tools: Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch, Triple Banner Punch, Dainty Diamonds
Accessories: White Stampin' Emboss Powder, Woven Threads Sequins Assortment, Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack, Square Vellum Doilies

Let me point out some details...starting with the background.  First...I took a piece of Purple Posy cardstock (cut to 3 3/4" x 5") and stamped the "treat yourself" greeting multiple times.  I stamped it twice before I re-inked it...to give it that variation of color. Then I embossed it, and sponged it...to add some texture.

Another fun thing is the doily on this card.  These are the Square Vellum Doilies...yet it's round?!  What?!  Hee.  All I did was just cut off the corners to get the round shape...

I think it is such a fun and versatile shape...so use these doilies as a square or quickly and easily make them a circular shape...either way is so much fun!

These sweet treats add so much texture all on their own.  I love the detail the stamps give.  The popsicle...there are two layered stamps that you can use to get a variation in color.  But for this one, I just stamped one, and then watercolored the area.  Just wanted to see what it looked like.

Hope you enjoy this card!  Let me know if you have any questions and know that I would love to help you however I can with all your papercrafting needs!

Flowering Vines for Slimline...TGIF Challenge 311:

It's my first time making the trendy Slimline card! Thank you, TGIF Challenge 311 for giving me this task!  Check out my first slimline, and then make your own and upload it on the TGIF Challenge Blog!  It is so much fun to see all the participants each week!

ColorsWhisper White, Magenta Madness, Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, Soft Sea Foam, Basic Black, Gold
Inks: Magenta Madness, Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, VersaMark
Cardstock/Papers: Whisper White, Thick Whisper White, Soft Sea Foam, Basic Black, Vellum
Stamps: Vine Design
Tools: Flowering Vine Dies, Blending Brushes, Sprig Punch, Water Painters
Accessories: White Stampin' Emboss Powder, Woven Threads Sequins Assortment

In case you haven't seen the Slimline cards yet, let me just explain quickly...it's basically a card that can fit in a standard size business envelope.  Most are 3.5" x 8.5", and that is what I made here.  But basically...a long and "slim" card...have fun & be creative with it!

I used the Vine Design Bundle for this card, and I'm totally in love.  I cut out one of the main "viney" floral images in Vellum Cardstock to ground the focal point.  Then I stamped the flowers and die-cut them out.  The only ink color that I used for the flowers was Magenta Madness...I just kept stamping without re-inking to get the variation of color.  Then I just layered them on the card!  ***Tip:  I used the Sprig Punch, that I just cut up, for the leaves for the flowers.

For the background piece, I used the Blending Brushes to create a blue ombre.  I used Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, and Bermuda Bay for the blues.  Then I dropped some water on the cardstock panel and dabbed off the water with a paper towel.  This gave me that splatter.

Love the sequin touch as well!  As well as that SMALL strip of Gold Foil on the left side!

I hope you enjoy and have fun participating with us this week!  Head on over to the TGIF Challenge Blog to play along!  Also...please let me know how I can help you with your papercrafting needs!  Thank you so much for visiting!

Seashells Love!!

Yes...it is true.  I LOVE the Friends Are Like Seashells Bundle SOOOOO much!  I don't see me ever not using this.  Hee.  So yes...you need it if you don't have it!  Here is one more reason...you want to make this card, right?!  😀

ColorsWhisper White, Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake
Inks: Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake, VersaMark
Cardstock/Papers: Whisper White, Pool Party, Basic Black, Vellum
Stamps: Friends Are Like Seashells
Tools: Seabed Embossing Folder, Heat Tool, Water Painters
Accessories: Linen Thread, White Stampin' Emboss Powder, Square Vellum Doilies, Gold Glitter Enamel Dots

Look at all these fun seashells...they are stamped onto Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper and then watercolored over when wet to smear the ink around a bit.  Add a little more color if needed.

Then this Seabed Embossing Folder is MY FAVORITE!  Love! 😍

One more shot of this beauty.  I love that vellum doily...so I won't stop using them.  Haha.  I cut one in half and added it to the side of the focal point for some added texture.

I hope you enjoy this card!  Please let me know if you have any questions on anything!  Would love to help you with all your papercrafting needs!
