Well "Hi" There!!

I am somewhat surprised, but one of my most used sets out of this new catalog has been the "I Think You're Great" stamp set.  I wouldn't say this is the most "I HAVE TO HAVE THAT!" stamp set out of the catalog.  But it seems to be a "Go-To" one for me lots of times.  Quick and fun images make it a breeze to use.  Here is a simple card you can quickly make!  It's not my FAVE card I have ever done, but thought I would share anyway...

I used the "Cherry On Top" Washi Tape (and small pieces of DSP) on the card.  LOVE the color combo and patterns in these products!!!  Here are some pics of the details...

I hope you enjoy this card!  Let me know if you have any questions!  designwithink@gmail.com

Make It Work!!

Who has "throw away" items on your crafting desk that never get used?!  You know...the things you had great plans for on a project, but it just didn't work so you did something else?!  Or just leftover pieces from a mass production project?  Well...I have quite a few of those.  SOOOOO....I gave myself a little challenge.  I challenge myself to use these pieces and make something out of it.  I am sharing this project with you today.  It wouldn't necessarily be a color combo I would pick if I were starting from scratch, but it's kinda growing on me.  What do you think?!

There is a sneak peek on this card.  The embossed background is an embossing folder that is being released in the NEW HOLIDAY CATALOG!  That goes live on Sept 1st!!!!  (Let me know if you need a copy!  I will send you one FREE!!!) Whoooo!!!

Here is a side view...

LOVE LOVE LOVE these 3D flowers.  SO easy, quick, and FUN!  And pack a punch!!! If you follow my blog, you have seen these a lot.  :-)

Hope you enjoy this quick card.  Oh...best part about this card was it was SO QUICK to make!  Cause I used pieces already made!  Seriously....everything but the gold sequin strip that I had to cut off the roll was already done!  And I would of just thrown them away!  Now I have a fun card to give someone!

SOOOOO...I challenge you to do the same!  Have a "Make It Work" moment and use your leftovers!

Want To See Some Swaps I Received?!

I showed you in THIS POST and THIS POST the two swaps I made for convention.  Well...I think it is time I show you some of the swaps I received!  :-) (A swap is where you make multiples of one card and swap with others that did the same things!  You get lots of fun ideas back!)

Here are a few of the cards I received at one of the swaps I did...

Aren't they so cute!  Here are individual shots of the cards, along with the name of who made them!

August Club Project...Double Fry Box...

Time to share the club project we made this month!  I found this on Pinterest and loved it!  I'm sure you will too!  (Crating tip...take advantage of all the creative inspiration out there! You don't have to re-invent the wheel if you don't want to!)

Here is the project we made...

I LOVE the Fry Box Big Shot Die!  It's soooo cute!  Why make one, when you can make two?!  :-)  Here is a double compartment little box...would be great fun for so many treats and small gifts!  What about chocolate in one side and a little lotion in the other?!  Here is a better view of the front...

Love this stamp set!  It's called "I Think You're Great" and it's a good one!  Fun big sentiments and patterns included.

Hope you enjoy this project!  Thanks so much for visiting!  Please let me know if you have any questions: designwithink@gmail.com.

August Club Card...Build-A-Birthday Window

I LOVE this month's club card that we did.  I saw the layout on Pinterest, and fell in love!  Julie Davison was the demo that designed it.  I just changed the colors and a few things.  But here is the card we made at my monthly meeting...

And look how it opens...

I added a window sheet and stamped the greeting on the front of the window sheet.  Yum!  Love this card!  :-)  It would be a fun WOW card for anyone to receive!

Love that new Washi Label punch!  How cute it is as a banner, even!

Hope you enjoy this card.  Let me know if you have any questions... designwithink@gmail.com

I'm So Grateful For You...

I needed a little "stamping therapy" time the other day...so on to my craft room I went!  (I'm certain I'm not the ONLY one that needs a little stamping therapy...even if it does have to be super late at night after my littles are in bed.  :-) ) I just wanted to create something...didn't really care what it was.   I ended up making a card, and that's what I get to share today!

What do you think?!  It was pretty fun to make!

Color Combo: Tip Top Taupe, Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaron (small bits of Cucumber Crush and Hello Honey)
Stamps: Remarkable You, Gorgeous Grunge (the splatter in background)
Inks: Tip Top Taupe, Cucumber Crush, Watermelon Wonder, Hello Honey, Black Staz-On
Tools: Big Shot, Boho Chic Embossing Folder, Stapler, Hexagon Punch (to make banner end), Aqua Painter
Accessories: Metallic Gold Baker's Twine, Mini Staples, Watercolor Paper, Gold Thread, Color Me Irresistible Designer Series Paper, Dazzling Details (Glitter Glue), Sponge

I love the watercolor look these days.  And sometimes it feels like a "whole thing" to do.  But really...it's SO quick and easy.  I just took my ink pads, smooshed the lid into the pad before opening it to give me some ink on the lid, and then colored onto my stamped flowers.  I used the Watermelon Wonder color so soft...so your one color of ink can give you SO many shades when you watercolor!  I will say...I LOVE the look you get when using Watercolor paper.  I am NOT an artist....can't color well at all.  I feel like the Watercolor paper makes whatever I do look good.  (And I am a QUICK colorer.  I don't spend time at all.  Just swoosh that ink on and move on.)

Just look how pretty...

And do you notice that shimmer on the card?!  It's done with Dazzling Details!  So much fun!  I just put a little blob on and "painted" it on where I wanted it.  (And by paint...I mean smearing it around with my finger.  It's the tool I always have close by so it's pretty dependable.)  It adds such a fun touch to the card!  Love this little banner detail...

Look at all the fun layers...

Hope you enjoy this card!  I felt much better after I made it...successful therapy indeed!  So my advice...try to do something creative each day.  It's good for the soul!

Convention Gift Using Gift Bag Punch Board...

There is a new punch board in the catalog this year!  It's called the "Gift Bag Punch Board," and it's a winner for sure!  My sweet friend, Candice, gave me the cutest package at convention this year...made with this fun punch board!  Look how cute it is...

Here is a side view...

Love all those banners!  Too cute!

And there were fun chocolate treats inside...you certainly can't beat that!

Here is a video to watch how you can easily use this punch board...

You've Got This...Swapping Time!

Wanted to share another card I made for a swap at this years Stampin' Up! convention...this time using the "You've Got This" stamp set.  This is such a fun stamp set...great background image, great floral image, sentiments, etc.  Here is a look at the set...

So fun, right?!

So here is my take on the stamp set...

Here are some details....

This flower was stamped with Staz-On ink onto Watercolor paper.  Then I just colored it in using Blender Pens and Calypso Coral and Cucumber Crush ink.  So quick and easy and I love the watercolor look!  Once again...I used the same color combo as the other things I have shared that I made for convention: Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, with splashes of Cucumber Crush.

Love layering accessories!  So much texture and fun!

And once again...I hung it up on the boards that Stampin' Up! had up to display things on...

Hope you enjoy this card!  Let me know if you have any questions:  designwithink@gmail.com.

My Ode to the Watercolor Wash Stamp...

One of my VERY favorite stamps in the NEW Annual catalog is one of the new background stamps.  It's called "Watercolor Wash."  Watercoloring is very trendy, but let's be honest...sometimes it just feels like a "thing" to do (even though it is really easy!).  This background stamp is SO MUCH FUN to use and gives you that watercolor wash look in a breeze.  So...it was the star of the show on one of the swap cards I made for Stampin' Up!'s convention this year...

So...the greeting on this card...well...it just made be directed at the beautiful Watercolor Wash background stamp.  :-)

I was loving this color combo also, so I just kept going with it and pretty much made all my projects for convention with this combo:  Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Pool Party, splatters of gold, and hints of Cucumber Crush.  Not something I would normally put together.  But just kinda started playing and fell in love!

Here are a few close-up's of the details...

And this year, you could bring projects to display on the big display boards at convention.  So here is mine hanging up under the lights...

Hope you enjoy!  Let me know if you have any questions on anything!
