Merry and Cheer...

So I need some cheer today because I am afraid I am sick with the flu. My daughter had it this past weekend...and it hit me last night/today. Fun times! In case you need a little cheer today as well...here is a "Merry" little card for you...

I am really liking this card layout because you could use it with just about any stamp set! What can get better than that?! Here is a close-up of the Christmas tree...
I inked the tree in Pear Pizazz ink first, and then went back with my Old Olive marker and highlighted some of the Paisleys to make it a bit more dimensional. Oh...this is from the Paisley Prints stamp set in the Mini Catalog. And colors I used are Real Red, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizazz and Whisper White. And just because I LOVE the new Pear ribbon, here is a close-up...
Thanks for visiting today! Hope you enjoy!!!

CLEARly Halloween is FUN!!!

I wanted to make a fun Halloween treat the other day. I found this Clear Take-Out box in my stash and decided I would start with this. Here is the project I did from the front...

And then from the back...
How much fun is this?! I had a blast...I must admit. This bat punch has definitely been getting it's use this Halloween season. :) They take center stage on this project. Here is a close-up of the big flower on top...
How cool is this?! It was easy to make. All I did was took the largest Scallop Circle die and punch out EIGHT of them. Then I spritzed them with my Shimmer Spray (made with Shimmer Paint and Rubbing Alcohol) until they were a bit damp. Then I just scrunched up one at a time into a little ball. Then un-scrunch them, layer them together, pierce a hole in the middle, and secure with a brad. Then just scrunch up all the layers and you get this flower. Then I just secured it with one dimensional on one of the flaps, so you can still open the top easily. Here is a close-up of the front...
Each bat you see is actually 2 bat punches adhered together in the middle. I used my bone folder to curl up the wings a bit so there is some dimension. Then of course I spritzed them with my shimmer spray and added some of those FABULOUS self-adhesive rhinestones! Can't get enough of those! :) And also...the "Happy Halloween" banner has a FABULOUS glimmer brad from the mini catalog on it! :) LOVE LOVE LOVE those!!!
Here is a close-up of one of the sides and the back...
Now you may be wondering how I did that black scallop border on the top and bottom of the paper. Well....it's another one of my new fave toys. Can you guess?!?!?!? It's actually from the "Tasteful Trim" Big Shot die that is in the Holiday mini. It's the big Ric Rac one. I just cut out two of them and then layered them on each other to make the scallops and glued to the designer paper. Clever, huh?! :) I was pretty excited when I figured that out. :)
So I just adhered the bat focal point and the designer paper around the front. Then I took another sheet of designer paper (all from the Wicked Fun collection) and sort of rolled it up, but it in the inside, and wrapped it around the sides. I didn't even adhere it anywhere...I didn't want a tight fit with it...just loosely wrapped around the inside.
Anyway...here is the treat opened up. Two layers of snack size candy bars! YUM! You can also see how I adhered the flower...

Hope you enjoy! Thanks for visiting!

September CLUB DAY!!!!

Last week we had our monthly club day! As always...it was a blast! I love to see my gals! We have a lot of fun together, eat some yummy treats, and make some yummy eye candy! :) Here are the projects we made this month...

A fun Halloween card! I LOVE this stamp set. It's a fun one. I think I used every stamp in the set except for the candle one. I was going to stamp that on the inside of the card, but kinda forgot. Oops. I don't know if you can tell in the above pic...but this card opens in a fun way. Here you can see it...
It's a Z-fold card that you pull up to reveal the inside. Lots of fun, I tell you! Just a little something different that makes it unique. Here is a close-up of the focal point...

Love the rhinestone on the witches hat!!!! The colors we used are Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Peach Parfait, and Basic Black. Love this for Halloween!
Here is the 3-D item we made...
When I saw those Mini Lunch Sacks with the SCALLOP EDGE in the mini catalog...I KNEW I had to have them! They are SO CUTE!!!! This bag...after we folded the top down...is probably about 4" tall. Around there anyway. But with the bag and the GLIMMER BRADS and one of my ALL TIME FAVE Halloween stamp sets, "Batty For You", HOW COULD YOU NOT LOVE THIS?!!?!? Also....the new SPIDER WEB EMBOSSING FOLDER?!?!?!? AHHHHH!!! I just love it. I ran the DSP/Old Olive cardstock layer through the embossing folder and then just ran my sanding block over it real quick to make the white pop a bit more. Here is a side view of the bag...
And here are some of the details...
We used the same colors as the card, and I spritzed some things with Shimmer Spray I made with rubbing alcohol and Shimmer Paint. (Can't use that stuff enough! LOVE IT!)
Anyway...thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy!!!!!

Whoooo Loves This Owl?!?!?

Ok...I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new Owl punch in the catalog! He is SO CUTE!!!! So OF COURSE he had to be the star of the show for one of my swap cards for convention. This card was for a swap I do with the MOST AMAZING gals!!! When I was awarded with the Rising Star award for 2008...I had no idea I would become part of such an amazing group!!! The 15 of us that were Rising Stars that year still keep in touch and at EVERY event we go to with Stampin' Up!...we STILL swap together! It's so much fun and I just feel so blessed to be part of such an amazing group!!!! So...here is the card I made...

I used the Sweet and Sour Specialty Designer Series Paper. This stuff is FABULOUS! You can't tell really in the pic...but some of those tiny polka dots are GLOSSY! LOVE that!!!! I used quite a few punches to make this focal point...
The 2 3/8"" Extra Large Scallop Circle die, the 1 3/4" Circle Punch, the Two-Step Bird Punch (for the branch he is sitting on), OF COURSE the Owl Punch, and then the Scallop Trim Border punch for the Chocolate Chip piece. Too much fun!!! :) So I ask...WHOOOOOO does NOT LOVE this owl?!?! :)
Thanks for visiting! I hope you enjoy!!!

Funky Four Fun...

I can't believe I haven't shared this card with you yet! This was another one I did for a convention event. My upline always has a big Shoebox Swap one of the convention nights. This is an event where everyone brings one card for everyone else to make...so you bring all the supplies cut and ready to go. Then you go around and make everyone's card. It was a lot of fun. Although I do have to say...I should have kept this card more simple. It kinda took awhile. Oops. I TRIED to make it simple...but I just couldn't sacrifice anything on the card. :) Here it is...
I used some of my FAVE things from the new catty. Play Date Designer Series Paper, and the Funky Four stamp set. LOVE all of these! This is how this card opens up...
(Oh...and the sentiment is from a Level 2 hostess set...Apple Blossom.) The grass I just cut free hand, and then made some templates for everyone else to follow. The sky I just put some Tempting Turquoise ink on a sponge and pounced it around on the white to give it that soft sky look. The colors: Real Red, Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise, Chocolate Chip, and So Saffron. Here is a close-up...
Hope you enjoy! Thanks for visiting!!!

Fancy Flower Focal...

This card was a lot of fun to make. And very quick also! Not a ton of stamping. Instead...the punches take Center Stage. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Fancy Flower Extra Large punch. I use it ALL the time!!! And I have been really loving it with the Dot, Dot, Dot single stamp. I just stamp those fabulous dots on cardstock first, punch out a circle, and adhere it to the middle of the flower. Too much fun!
The punches I used here: Scallop Edge Border, Fancy Flower, 1 3/8" Circle, and the NEW Decorative Label punch that is in the Holiday Mini!!!! SO FABULOUS!!! Colors I used: Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Rose Red, and the color I can NOT get away from...Crumb Cake! The Designer Series Paper is Nursery Suite Specialty. Yes....this paper is designed for babies. But SO VERSATILE! I love the patterns in it for any day use! Here is a close up of the focal point...
I just punched everything out, sponged all the edges in Chocolate Chip, and then layered it all together. Again...had to use a button. :) Rose Red again...just the biggest one in the pack. (Can I tell you again HOW MUCH I LOVE these buttons?!?!? :) ) I love layering punched images...it's too much fun. Oh...and that strip of Chocolate Chip is textured cardstock...love the extra pop that gives. And of course I HAVE to use my Big Shot! :) Had to use the Polka Dot background on this card. I ran a 5 1/4" x 4" piece of Crumb Cake through the Big Shot with the Polka Dot embossing folder. Then sponged the edges in Chocolate Chip and mounted it to my card front. I just like the extra pop that gives!

Anyway...enough details on this simple card! Hope you enjoy! Thanks for visiting!!!

Just Believe...

Had a little fun with the "Just Believe" set I received in my bag at convention. This set it quite a lot of fun to play with. Here is the card I came up with...
Of course I use my favorite...Crumb Cake...for the card base. Then the other colors are Pumpkin Pie, Rose Red, Old Olive, and Chocolate Chip. This card was pretty quick and easy to put together. I just inked up the stamp using my Old Olive and Rose Red markers. Stamped it onto my Whisper White piece and layered all the other pieces. Here's a bit of a close-up...
And then the sentiment I just stamped and punched out with the Word Window punch. Then sponged and layered on the Modern Label punch. Cut off one end and added to the edge of the card with dimensionals. Added my button (and I have to say that I am IN LOVE with these buttons in the catalog. Don't know if I do any project without them!!! This one is from the Subtles collection...in Rose Red)...and there you have it!
Hope you enjoy and thanks for visiting!!!!
