TGIF Challenge - 121: Girly Hello!

Well I LOVE this challenge this week!  (Do I say that every week?!  Ooops....I just really think they are so much fun!!!)  But check this one out...

A GIRLY challenge?!  Well how fun and FABULOUS is that?!   Fun fact about me...I grew up with all brothers...just 3 boys and me.  Well fast forward to when I get married and we have kids...we have three girls!  Haha.  So I grew up not so much a lover of girly things.'m all "girlied" in and I love it!  :-)

I mean seriously...just look how cute my kids are.  :-)

They are a blast.  But back to the kinda morphed from what I originally thought about doing.  But I LOVE pink, so of course it had to be all about the pink for me!  :-)

Colors: Pool Party, Melon Mambo, Powder Pink, Basic Black
Cardstock/PapersPool Party, Watercolor Paper, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer Paper
Stamps: Pop of Paradis
Tools: 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Big Shot, Seasonal Layers Thinlits, Fluttering Embossing Folder, Wink of Stella Glitter Brush
Accessories: Black Metallic Thread, Delicate White Doily, Rhinestones, Pick a Pattern Washi Tape, Basic Black Baker's Twine, Powder Pink Shimmer Ribbon

I don't really like how this card photographed.  But...suffice it to say that this card is glittery, pink-y, and a little delicate to boot.

I wanted a big blurt of glitter, so that's what I did--just blurted glitter out of my Wink of Stella Glitter Brush and swooshed it around.  That part is what I don't like with the photography of this card. But it's so sparkly in real life.   :-)

I hope you enjoy this card!  And I REALLY hope you participate!!!  Check out the TGIF CHALLENGE BLOG and play along!!!!

Thanks so much for visiting me!

Delightful Daisy Meets Bundle of Love ...

Have something really fun to share today!  It is the club project we made this month, and I'm in love!  "Bundle of Love"... that is.  :-)  (Check out the Designer Paper I used to see why that's funny.  Hee.) I shared the club card we made this month in THIS POST.  Now you get to see the project...a fun desktop Post-It holder! ...

Colors: Basic Black, Gold, Melon Mambo, Lemon Lime Twist, Soft Sky
Cardstock/PapersBasic Black, Melon Mambo, Lemon Lime Twist, Soft Sky, Bundle of Love Designer Series Paper
Stamps: Delightful Daisy, Blossom Builder Punch
Tools: Daisy Punch, Classic Label Punch, Simply Scored Board
Accessories: Gold Mini Sequin Trim, Gold Faceted Gems

How fun is this?!  :-)  Kinda great for this "Back to School" time of year.  And let me just get to my "Bundle of Love" comment above.  That's the name of the Designer Series Paper I used.  I have to admit...didn't even give this paper a second thought when I first saw it.  I'm not pregnant and just didn't feel like I "needed" baby paper.  Haha.  Well...I decided to order it because I saw gold on some papers, and OH! MY! WOW!!!  This paper is INSANE gorgeous!  EVERY paper has one side of a gold print pattern.  TOTAL *SWOON*!!!  Here's a picture of the paper...

And just side is either pink or blue and the other FULL SIDE IS GOLD!  And metallic-y wonderfully beautiful gold.  It's amazing.  Just wanted to share because I was surprised when I got it.  :-)

I think this black/gold/pink color combo is quite beautiful...

And this daisy....well I just love.  It's made with the Delightful Daisy bundle.  I posted a beautiful floral arrangement made with this punch and stamp set in THIS POST.  And just wanted to share how fun these flowers are on other projects.

(The middle of the flower is punched with one of the flowers from the Blossom Builder punch...FYI.  The Lemon Lime Twist leaves are from the daisy punch!  I just punched out a daisy, cut apart the petals, and glued them together how I wanted them. :-) )

***One of the perks of joining my club is each month I email instruction sheets for both the card and the project we make that you can keep a file and always remember how we made the projects!  Would love to have you join my club!  Let me know if you have any questions!***

And just because I am in love...look at this Post-It Holder without the Post-It's so you can see that fabulous gold...

Thanks so much for visiting! Hope you enjoyed this project!

TGIF Challenge - 119: Curry Pool Party Twist ...

Have you been following me for awhile?!  If probably know I love color.  Bright and fun, I just love it!  So it should be no surprise that a bright and fun color challenge is right up my alley!  Check out this fun color challenge this week...

Let's be real...anything with Lemon Lime Twist has my name on it. :-)  (Do you LOVE this color as much as me?!) I went with a somewhat subtle card with these colors.  It's quick and simple too.  Just some basic stamping and a few embellishments.

ColorsCrushed Curry, Pool Party, Lemon Lime Twist
Cardstock/PapersPool Party, Whisper White
Stamps: Daisy Delight
Accessories: Linen Thread, Delicate White Doily, Rhinestones

What do you think?!  Can I just say...I love some "two-step" stamping. That is when you stamp your background image in the colors you want like this...

And then stamp a second time to add the detail...

For this card I used tone on tone for the subtle look...but you just as easily could do a fun black outline or another color to really make a bold statement.

P.S...don't you just love the little touch a piece of doily can add to a project...

A package of these goes a long way because I rarely use a full one on a card.  Too much fun!

Hope you enjoy this project!  I would love to see you participate in this challenge yourself!  Can't wait to see what you make!!!  Head on over to the TGIF CHALLENGE BLOG and play along!!!  Let me know if you have any questions!  Thanks so much for visiting!!!

Pick A Pattern...Animal Style!

Want to see a fun and quick notecard you can easily make?!  The star of the show is the "Pick A Pattern" Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!  This paper is SO MUCH FUN!!!!

Colors: Whisper White, Flirty Flamingo, Emerald Envy
Cardstock/PapersWhisper White Notecards & Envelopes, Flirty Flamingo, Pick A Pattern Designer Series Paper, Vellum Cardstock
Stamps: All Things Thanks
Tools: Starburst Punch, 2" Circle Punch, Triple Banner Punch
Accessories: Flirty Flamingo Baker's Twine, Metallic Enamel Shapes

Seriously...pretty cute, huh?!  I made up a batch of these in no time, and it was SO SIMPLE!  I just cut a piece of Designer Paper for the background and mounted it on a Stampin' Up! notecard.  Then just punched a few elements, stamped my greeting, used the scraps of the Designer Paper to cut out one of those cute animals, and voila!  Card is done!

I will be using this idea a lot in the future.  It's great when you don't have a ton of time but want to show someone you care.  And look at just some of the other animals you can use...

Give this a try and show me what you make and tell me what you think!  :-)  Let me know if you have any questions and THANKS FOR VISITING!!!!

A or B - I Think We Know the Answer...

Earlier today I put out this informal poll on my social media accounts (do you follow me?!  If for Design With Ink on Facebook or Instagram and click to follow!!!) ...

Which would you prefer to receive, A or B? ...

Obviously...people picked B!  It's SO MUCH more fun to get that package, right?!  My purpose was just to simply show how easy it is to brighten up someone's day. of the best things about what I do is seeing the look on people's faces as they are either:

A.) Making something special to give

B.) Receiving something special that has been made for them

To "spruce" up these store bought treats...I simply put them in cello bags, tied with ribbon, and made a cute tag for the packages.  It didn't take long at all!!!  And how much more fun is it to receive like the "B" option shows?!

Here are some pictures of the cute packages...

Colors: Calypso Coral, Pool Party, So Saffron, Kraft
Cardstock/PapersPool Party, So Saffron, Calypso Coral, Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper, Vellum Cardstock
Stamps:Badges & Banners, Wood Words
Tools: Best Badge Punch, Triple Banner Punch, Big Shot, Sparkle Embossing Folder, Wood Crate Framelits, 2" Circle Punch
Accessories: Calypso Coral Chevron Ribbon (now retired--bought on Clearance Rack!), Whisper White Baker's Twine

Just a few fun elements is all it took to make this fun tag...

I kinda want to make up a bunch of these and get out delivering some goodies!  You could obviously fill these LARGE cellos with anything!  (They are the largest that Stampin' Up! sells and are AMAZING!!!!!  I use them for SOOOOO much!!!)

Let me know if you have any questions!  If you need help with ideas on packaging or anything....I would love to help!  :-)  It's what I do!!!  :-)
