Christmas Season With a Gift Card...TGIF Challenge 347!!

What?!  I can't believe I haven't posted since the last TGIF Challenge!  'Tis the season, I guess!  I am so sorry!  I have lots to share that I just need to take photos of!  But I do LOVE what I am sharing today!  The challenge for this week is ALLLL about Gift Card Holders!  Yay!  Because it is the time of year we probably all need these!  I actually love giving gift cards because I think they are a really useful & helpful thing.  However...I really love adding a handmade touch to the gift card...to just show the receiver how much you care!  Now...I am embracing my love of non-traditional Christmas colors this year ( I even got a PINK Christmas tree!!! 😍😍😍) so this card is so pink!  And I LOVE it!!!

Colors Polished Pink, Mint Macaron, Whisper White, Gold
Inks: Polished Pink, Mint Macaron, VersaMark, Memento Black
Cardstock/Papers: Whisper White, Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper
Stamps: Christmas Season, Perfectly Plaid
Tools: Water Painter, Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder, Seasonal Labels Dies
Accessories: Linen Thread, Elegant Faceted Gems, Gold Holly Leaves, Heat Tool, Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder

How fresh & fun is this?!  Swoon!!! Now...this is the most simple way to make a gift card holder!  I just cut a piece of cardstock to 4 1/4" x 10".  Then I just scored it at 2 1/2" & 6 1/2"!  Then just fold up the bottom, adhere on the sides, and you have a little pocket for your gift card!  With plenty of place to write a message still!

Here are some pics of the details!  I LOVE the layers, the holly, the fun colors, that PAPER, those GOLD HOLLY LEAVES!!!, those embellishements, that embossed background...I am just obsessed with this!  (That greeting is embossed in gold and is photographing really funky.  I am sorry!)

Now...I want to see what you do!  The whole TGIF Design Team does!  So head on over to the TGIF Challenge Blog and share what you made!  Here is one last peek at the card:

I hope you enjoy!  Thank you so much for visiting!  Please let me know if you have any questions on anything!  I would love to help you making this, ordering products...whatever you need!

A Whale Done Color Challenge for TGIF Challenge #345!

I'm craving the ocean.  Now that I admitted it...can I have it?!  πŸ˜‚  Haha.  (We actually are going to the ocean for Christmas...so I can barely wait!!! Hee.). So when I saw the color challenge for TGIF Challenge #345...I instantly just saw ocean.  Being under the water is one of my VERY favorite things in life...I LOVE scuba diving!!!...so here is my underwater scene for you...

ColorsPool Party, Just Jade, Misty Moonlight, Polished Pink, Whisper White
Inks: Pool Party, Just Jade, Misty Moonlight, Polished Pink, Tuxedo Black Memento
Cardstock/Papers: Whisper White, Just Jade, Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper
Stamps: Whale Done
Tools: Water Painter, Seashells 3D Embossing Folder, Stitched So Sweetly Dies, Sea Life Dies, Whale Punch
Accessories: Artistry Blooms Adhesive-Backed Sequins, Baker's Twine Essentials Pack (white), Pool Party 3/8" Sheer Ribbon

And here is the official challenge...

Do these colors make you think of the ocean as well?!  Or what would you make with these colors?!  Well...I WANT TO SEE!  So after you have finished scrolling through the photos that I share below of the details of this card...go make something!  Then share it with us over on the TGIF CHALLENGE BLOG!! I can't wait to see!

Now for some details...

That layered coral.  Swoon!  Love the subtle vellum layer behind the pop of coral.

Yes you didn't see Polished Pink on the color challenge.  BUT...I had to add that pop!  πŸ˜€ These challenges are made to get your brain pumping with ideas...for inspiration.  So feel free to let your creativity take you where it goes!  πŸ’•

I used Pool Party Blends on the whale's blow.  Love the dimension.  And love the texture of the Whisper White embossed background (embossed with the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder), the watercolor wash on the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper layered on the scallop rectangle (Stitched So Sweetly Dies), the sequins, and the textures of ribbon/twine.

What is your favorite part?

I hope you enjoy this card!  I can't wait to see what you make!  Don't forget to head to the TGIF Challenge Blog!

Two For One With the Early-Released Eden's Garden!

Don't you love when you can get more use out of something?!  Well how about one design used in two different ways?!  I know I LOVE when this happens!  And I have one of these to share today...after I tell you something fun first!  πŸ˜€

Stampin' Up! has released some FABULOUS new products EARLY! These products will be in the upcoming January-June 2022 Mini Catalog!  And you can buy them NOW!  It is the "Eden's Garden Collection" and it is so much fun to use!  Click HERE to see what is available!  Then keep scrolling to see my first take on it!

I used the bundle here to show you that you can totally "think outside of the box" when it comes to colors.  I know sometimes, when a collection has Designer Series Paper that goes with it, we tend to think of just those colors with the collection.  However...here I used this bundle with MY signature colors.  πŸ˜‚ AND...as promised above...I have ONE design used in TWO fun ways!

ColorsCoastal Cabana, Polished Pink, Gold
Inks: Coastal Cabana, Tuxedo Black Memento
Cardstock/Papers: Whisper White, Polished Pink, Coastal Cabana, Gold Foil Sheets
Stamps: Eden's Garden
Tools: Blending Brush, Water Painter
Accessories: Artistry Blooms Adhesive-Backed Sequins, Linen Thread, Ombre Gift Bags
And how about that?!  πŸ˜€ What do you think? Same design but one with a card & one to decorate a fun treat/gift bag!

I love this vine-y stamp.  This look was created by repeatedly stamping the image, sometimes stamping twice before re-inking the stamp, and overlapping.  😍

I love the elements on this card...is it okay to admit that?!  😏 Splatter is one of my favorite ways to add texture...without adding another layer.  Then adding some ink with a Blending Brush to create a fun ombre look...kinda love it.  Hee.  My fave sequins...the Artistry Blooms Adhesive-Backed Sequins...add such a fun detail & texture.  That gold foil strip...swoon.  😍And then I love the interest that cutting up a sentiment and "layering" it can make on a card.

I love this bag.  First of all...it's Polished Pink!  MAJOR SWOON!  😍 But I did the same thing for this...I added the splatter to the bag instead of the tag, but I did the same stamping, blending, sequins, & layered sentiment.  What do you think?!  What is your fave element?!

Once again...I am in love.  I made this quite a few weeks ago...and it still makes me smile every time I look at them.

Thank you so much for visiting!  I hope you enjoy!  Please let me know if you have any questions!  Would love to help you with all your paper crafting needs!  Let me know if you need to order anything from any of the current Stampin' Up! catalogs!

Penned Flowers Masked With Plenty of Patterns...

Have you played with Stampin' Up!'s Decorative Masks?!  They are SO MUCH fun & can be used in lots of ways!  Today...I used them simply as a stencil with some ink to make a subtle but bold background.  Confused how it can be subtle AND bold?!  Well...let me show you the card:

ColorsPetal Pink, Calypso Coral, Granny Apple Green, Soft Sea Foam, Whisper White
Inks: Petal Pink, Memento Jet Black
Cardstock/Papers: Petal Pink, Granny Apple Green, Calypso Coral, Soft Sea Foam
Stamps: Hand-Penned Petals
Tools: Plenty of Patterns Decorative Masks, Penned Flowers Dies, Blending Brushes
Accessories: Fine Art Ribbon, Linen Thread, Flirty Flamingo 1/4" Metallic Ribbon

See what I mean now?!  I feel like this is a bold background with the fun bold floral image.  But...I just did a tone on tone image to give a subtle feel.  Hence...my subtle yet bold background.  Hee.

I just paired this background with some die-cuts from the Penned Flowers Dies and VOILA!  Fun card to give anyone that needs to be told "thanks!" (or anything else...change to greeting to anything!)

Also fun to note...that fun "fringe" under the sentiment.  Just cut one side off a piece of the Fine Art Ribbon piece.  Then pull out fibers to make it all fringe-y.  πŸ˜Š

Need to also point out how much I love the little detail the ribbon behind the Linen Thread bow...

I hope you enjoy this subtly-bold card!  What occasion would you use it for?!

Thank you so much for visiting!  Please let me know if you have any questions!  I would love to help you with all your papercrafting needs!

Fancy Color Challenge With Batik Boutique!

Well it may be the first day of Nov, but it is time to share Octobers Fancy Friday Challenge!  Have you followed along all month?!  It has been a fun COLOR CHALLENGE!  These are some of my very favorite types of challenges...because I LOVE COLOR!!!  First up is my card, then I will tell you the official challenge colors!   Also...I used the Batik Boutique Stamp Set for the first time...and I am IN LOVE!  Gorgeous blooms and next time I will use the coordinating dies with it!  SWOON! 😍

Colors: Real Red, Old Olive, Coastal Cabana, Polished Pink, Whisper White
Inks: VersaMark, Memento Jet Black re-inker (for splatter)  BLENDS: Polished Pink Light & Dark, Real Red Light & Dark, Bermuda Bay Light & Dark, Old Olive Light & Dark
Cardstock/Papers: Whisper White, Basic Black, Gold Foil Sheets, Patter Party Designer Series Paper
Stamps: Batik Boutique, Through It Together (sentiment)
Tools: Timber 3D Embossing Folder, Heat Tool
Accessories: Metallic Pearls, Fine Art Ribbon, Baker's Twine Essentials Pack, Metallics Embossing Powders (gold), Basics Embossing Powders (white)

How much fun is this card?!  Blends to the rescue, with some ink splattering!  Here is the official color challenge:

Real Red, Old Olive, and Coastal Cabana!

I love this color challenge, but I would love it more with Polished Pink instead of Real Red.  Hee.  Since challenges are inspiration, and a "jumping off point"...I did add a touch of pink when I needed a contrast color in my flowers.  I figured pink is in the red family, so it works, right?! πŸ˜‰

I am 100% in love with this sentiment also...from the Through It Together Stamp Set.  I say this to friends a lot...because I believe this.  We are the hardest on ourselves ... more times than not, and sometimes we just need a reminder.  We really are doing better than we think we are.  πŸ˜€ So I am very happy to have a sentiment that says this.

And can we talk about that fringe ribbon?!  It is the Fine Art Ribbon.  I just trimmed off one side of the edge of the ribbon, then pulled out the strands to make it all fringe-y.  But since the other side wasn't trimmed off, it all stays together still.  Love this!

Something else I love...

The Hostess Paper Pack!  It is only available to hostesses (which can just be YOU! with your own order!!!) and it is MAGNIFICENT!  It is called Pattern Party and there are SO MANY delicious paper patterns.  This black & white stripe just may be the one I use the most.  Haha.  You can check out all of the patterns below.  Each paper has a colored pattern on one side and then a black & white pattern on the other side.  I'm not sure you can get more magical than that.  Hee.

Although it is hard to see in a photo...this Timber 3D Embossed Background adds such the perfect bit of texture to the card.  I love the slanted layers and the subtle texture that the embossed folder and then distressed corners and edges add.  Another πŸ’• SWOON πŸ’• moment for me.  Hee.

Then one last shot of the blending.  I love it!  I also love how the Real Red Blends Markers can look a little pink-ish if you do it right.  Hee.

All in all...I hope you enjoy this card!  Would love to hear your favorite parts!  And follow us along on social media, if you aren't already!  You can find us on Facebook or Instagram!  I am there as Design With Ink or @designwithink.  And our design team can be found at Stampin' Fancy Friday or @stampinfancyfriday.

Pretty In Pink Penguin Place!!!

Have you seen the Penguin Place Bundle in Stampin' Up!'s July-December Mini Catalog?! It is SOOOO cute!  A darling stamp set AND coordinating punch?!  Yes, please!  Here is the first (of hopefully many!) cards that I made with it.  How CAAAAA-UUUUUUTTTTTTEEEEEE are these penguins?!  πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜

ColorsPolished Pink, Pool Party, Soft Sea Foam, Whisper White
Inks: Mango Melody, Polished Pink, Memento Jet Black  BLENDS: Polished Pink Light & Dark, Soft Sea Foam Light
Cardstock/Papers: Whisper White, Polished Pink, Pool Party
Stamps: Penguin Place
Tools: Artistic Dies, Stiched So Sweetly Dies, Penguin Builder Punch, Palette Knives, Plenty of Patterns Decorative Masks
Accessories: Subtle Shimmer Sequins, Shimmery White Embossing Paste, White 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon, Baker's Twine Essentials Pack

There are quite a few details going on with the card also.  So let me point a few out.  First up...where is that fabulous Polished Pink striped paper that is on the side?!  Well...I made it!  Just a piece of Polished Pink cardstock & a Polished Pink Blends Marker to swipe some stripes on! So easy and fun, huh?!  You can totally use a ruler and make these perfect. But that wasn't the look I was going for here...I just quickly swiped them on the cardstock!

Then of course you noticed that FABULOUS Embossing Paste, right?!  I used the Plenty of Patterns Decorative Masks and Shimmery White Embossing Paste to add that fun textured detail.  I ♡ LOVE ♡ LOVE ♡ LOVE ♡ embossing paste!!!! (MAJOR SWOON product for me.).

Also...used more Blends Markers for some fun detail!  Behind the penguins, I wanted a little "grounding" for them...I felt they needed a little color wash.  I had already cut out the label (from Stitched So Sweetly Dies) with just regular Whisper White cardstock (not the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper), so I didn't want to watercolor.  So I just added some color with the Light Soft Sea Foam Blends Marker.  Easy peasy!  Then splattered some coordinating ink on top!  I ALSO...wanted a little more pink tones on the card.  So...I colored a little spot with the Polished Pink Blends Maker onto Whisper White cardstock, stamped the greeting over it, and cut it out!  I LOVE that look and the fun color variation it gives!

One more fun detail to point out...I added some glitter to the white part of the penguins with the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.

So what do you think?!  What is your favorite detail?!  I love the glittery organdy ribbon and love that detailed die-cut in the background and the list goes on.  πŸ˜€

Thank you so much for visiting!  Please let me know if you have any questions! I would love to help you with all your paper crafting needs!  If you need any Stampin' Up! products...let me know!
