๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿฉต๐Ÿ’œ   RAINBOW SURFBOARDS !!!   ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿฉต๐Ÿ’œ

The surfboards are all stamped and embossed with clear embossing powder onto Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.  Then just use a Water Painter and ink to color them in!  Then die-cut & enjoy!  They seriously are so cute all lined up in rainbow order!

Then add some fun more detail & texture to make the surfboards pop!

  • The Perennial Postage Die layer!
  • Stamped tone on tone beach images on card front!
  • Embossed, inked, & splattered layer to make surfboards really pop!

Technique Tuesday With Custom Striped Accents!

One of my assignments on Stampin' Up!'s Artisan Design Team is to do share some fun techniques.  My first one was shared at the end of March, so thought I better share here!

So if you want to try a simple technique to make your project pop - grab some Adhesive Sheets, cardstock, & a die-cut to create these fun, striped accents!

***Note: those are the supplies that I used to make the projects shown below.  This tip is so much fun because it is SO versatile!  You could do this with Designer Series Paper scraps, you could vary the width, you don't have to use a die-cut, etc, etc.  SO MUCH that you could do!

Aren't they adorable?!  I pretty much love them.  Haha.  But of course ... let's get into a bit more detail!

How much fun is that, right?!  I love doing this technique, and again ... it is SO versatile!  Here is a closer look at the finished projects:

Colors Melon Mambo, Calypso Coral, Lemon Lolly, Lemon Lime Twist, Coastal Cabana, Highland Heather, Basic White, Basic Black
Inks: NONE!
Cardstock/Papers: Melon Mambo, Calypso Coral, Lemon Lolly, Lemon Lime Twist, Coastal Cabana, Highland Heather, Basic White, Basic Black, Adhesive Sheets, Gold Foil Sheets, Vellum
Stamps: NONE!
Tools:  Wanted to Say Dies, Nested Essentials Dies, Cheerful Daisies Dies, Basics Embossing Folders
Accessories: Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels, Baker's Twine Essentials Pack

I really love this card & how that fabulous rainbow sentiment pops.  There is lots of texture & detail on the card, but it also looks really clean & simple.

I used two of the Nested Essentials Dies to cut out a frame from the Gold Foil Sheet.  Then I cut the largest Nested Essential Die that I used to cut out a backing in vellum.  Adhere the frame to the vellum, and that add the fabulous striped greeting!!  This adds "grounding" to the focal point sentiment.  And just make that rainbow sentiment POP!  Obsessed! ๐Ÿ˜

I cut a few of the large daisy die-cuts from the Cheerful Daisies Dies.  And just adhered that to an embossed piece of Basic White Cardstock.  That was my subtle - but yet so much interest & texture - background!

I love it, I must say.  Hee.

I also had a lot of fun making this tag.

Colors Melon Mambo, Calypso Coral, Lemon Lolly, Lemon Lime Twist, Coastal Cabana, Highland Heather, Basic White, Basic Black
Inks: Pool Party, Lemon Lolly
Cardstock/Papers: Melon Mambo, Calypso Coral, Lemon Lolly, Lemon Lime Twist, Coastal Cabana, Highland Heather, Basic White, Basic Black, Adhesive Sheets
Stamps: Bright Skies
Tools:  Wanted to Say Dies, Bright Skies Dies, Perennial Postage Dies, Artistic Mix Decorative Masks, Palette Knives
Accessories: Shimmery White Embossing Paste, Baker's Twine Essentials Pack, Black & White Gingham Ribbon

Love love love the Bright Skies Bundle!  It is SO much fun! And cheery!  I used one of the clouds and the sun as a background to the rainbow greeting.  After the rain, and the sun comes out, it is so fun to find a rainbow! So I thought this was perfect! I also added some detail with Shimmery White Embossing Paste & the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks.  ๐Ÿ’•

I hope you enjoyed seeing these projects!  Thank you so much for visiting!  Please let me know if you have any questions or need help with anything!  I hope this gave you a fun new technique to try! And I hope you let me know if you have any more questions!  Would love to help you with all your papercrafting needs!  Please let me know if you need any Stampin' Up! supplies as well!

A Little Birthday Love ...

I am a big fan of wrapping a birthday gift in a fun & special way.  However ... I will preface it by saying it is NEVER a necessity.  ๐Ÿ˜  It is totally okay if you don't get to that part.  Letting someone know you are thinking about them is never a bag thing - no matter how it is packaged.  ๐Ÿ’–  I try to have a stash of birthday tags & cards around so I can quickly put a little extra "love" into my wrapping.  So this is a quick box/belly band/tag combo to make a fun birthday package!

I used a retired Scalloped Kraft Treat Box from Stampin' Up! (***TIP: I usually stock up on the gift package options Stampin' Up! offers because having these on hand is another way I can quickly make a gift feel just a titch more special.) and just added a fun belly band (easily made with just Designer Series Paper that coordinates with the tag!) & festive tag!

Colors Coastal Cabana, Lemon Lime Twist, Melon Mambo, Basic White
Inks: Coastal Cabana, Melon Mambo, Tuxedo Black Memento, VersaMark
Cardstock/Papers: Basic White, Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, Stargazing Designer Series Paper, retired Scallop Kraft Treat Box
Stamps: Beautiful Balloons, Heartfelt Hexagon
Tools:  Beautiful Balloons Dies, Scalloped Contours Dies, Heartfelt Hexagon Punch, Heat Tool, Water Painter, Blending Brush
Accessories: Metallics Embossing Powder, Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels, Adhesive-Backed Lightning & Stars, Ribbon Duo Combo Pack (green stitched), 3/8" Sheer Ribbon Combo Pack (yellow)

I adhered the tag over the seam of the belly band, using dimensionals, so the belly band looks seamless & the tag pops off the box a bit!  And then you just slide the band and tag off at once and easily open the box without tearing anything!

Few tips for the tag:

๐ŸŽˆ Cut Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper just a little bit smaller than the stitched outline of the Scalloped Contour Die.

๐ŸŽˆ  Color a watercolor wash using a Water Painter.  Dry with Heat Tool.

๐ŸŽˆ  Stamp festive images over the watercolor wash, for a little texture.

๐ŸŽˆ  Add some splatter using Water Painter and same ink in the color you did the watercolor wash.  Just get some ink on the top of the Water Painter and flick in the lid, over your project.

๐ŸŽˆ  Stamp & emboss the Hexagon shape.  Use a Blending Brush to add some ink to the hexagon to make the sentiment pop.  Stamp sentiment.  (This order will help keep sentiment crisp & not smeared.)

Hope you enjoy this project!  Please let me know if you have any questions! Would love to help you with your papercrafting needs!  And if you need help getting your hands on Stampin' Up! supplies ... let me know!

Hello Ladybug for Inspirational TGIF Challenge #469!!

Just a fun quick post today to share this weeks fun TGIF Challenge!  Are you going to play along?  I hope so!  First - I want to share the card I made for the challenge.  Then hop on over to the TGIF Challenge Blog to check out what the rest of us on the design team made.  And then make your own card using the inspiration for this weeks challenge and share it with us!  It is fun to play along and I think it helps get the creative juices flowing!  That is what it did for me this week!  ๐Ÿ’•

Have you played with the Hello Ladybug Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!?  I wish I would have played with it more because it is so much fun & so easy to use!  And now it is retiring! ๐Ÿ˜ข BUT - it is on SALE!  So get it now if you haven't gotten it yet!  Hee.  So many fun bold images to use! And a coordinating punch!  I used the coordinating punch images for this card and LOVED playing with it!

Colors Coastal Cabana, Melon Mambo, Lemon Lime Twist, Basic White, Basic Black
Inks: Pool Party, Melon Mambo, Tuxedo Black Memento, VersaMark
Cardstock/Papers: Coastal Cabana, Lemon Lime Twist, Basic White, Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper
Stamps: Hello Ladybug, Happy Labels (sentiment)
Tools:  Perennial Postage Dies, Ladybug Builder Punch, Heat Tool, Water Painter
Accessories: Basics Embossing Powder, Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels

Now ... you probably need to see the challenge to see the inspiration for this weeks challenge, right?!  So you can play along! Hee.  So here you go!

How fun is this?!  You can see I kinda took the basic layout.  And use a shape repeatedly to create the focal points of the card.  I even used a flying insect as inspiration!  Hee.  But you could use the layout, the butterflies, the colors, the WHATEVER that speaks to you on this inspirational challenge to make something!  We love seeing what you make so I can't wait!

A few notes on my card:

Red isn't a fave color of mine.  So - never fear!  You can use whatever ink you want to make your ladybug whatever color you want! ๐Ÿ˜„ So I used Melon Mambo for the wings!  And I just stamped it twice onto Basic White cardstock, before re-inking.  That gave me a fun variation of color.

I love the dimension on this card also.  I used the Multi-Purpose Adhesive (green lid glue) to adhere the bodies down.  Then I added the wings with dimensionals, to make them pop a bit.

Then for a little fun touch ... I cut 1/2" off the side of the card front, and then added a piece of Designer Series Paper to the inside.  I love this little simple detail that just adds a touch of fun to a card.  SO EASILY! Hee.

This card was so much fun to make.  Bright, cheery, and pretty quick!  And now I have a fun card to give to any friend for any occasion!  Would be a fun birthday card even!

Thank you so much for visiting!  Now you can head on over to the TGIF Challenge Blog to see the fabulous cards made by the other designers and play along with us!  ๐Ÿ’•

PLEASE let me know if you have any questions!  Would love to help you with all your papercrafting needs!  Or help you get any Stampin' Up! supplies you need!

Who Is In A Magnolia Mood!!! For April Artisan Blog Hop!!!

๐Ÿ‘ YAY!  It is that time again! Time for a mini Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! This month is all about a ☆ FANTASTIC ☆ Online Exclusive Bundle from Stampin' Up! called Magnolia Mood!  Want to see what a few of us on the team made with it?!  I hope so because here we go!!!  I will show you what I made first, and then I have the links below to the others on my team that made some fabulous projects also!  You can check them out on IG, and some are also blogging it or putting it on Facebook!  ENJOY!  We each have our own style & there are so many possibilities with these products. You are in for a treat! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

Here are both of the projects that I made, and I will share some details about them individually below.

When I saw one of the sentiments in the Magnolia Moods Stamp Set - I knew I had to make a scrapbook page with my daughters. It was perfect. ๐Ÿฉท And I’m obsessed. ๐Ÿ˜ I love how the stamps & dies layer together so well - so I did some more layering for my card too. All in all - this bundle is a blast and and I can’t wait to play with it more! Big thanks to Stampin' Up! for creating fabulous products once again!

Colors Bubble Bath, Lost Lagoon, Basic White, Basic Black
Inks: Bubble Bath, Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
Cardstock/Papers: Basic White, Bubble Bath, Lost Lagoon, Basic Black, Masking Paper
Stamps: Magnolia Mood
Tools:  Magnolia Mood Dies, Water Painter (dipped in black ink for background splatter)
Accessories: Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins

Isn't this sentiment just fabulous for a scrapbook page? And with this picture of my daughters ... I am swooning. ๐Ÿ’•

***TIP with greeting: on either of the greetings, I needed to mask the part of the stamp I wasn't stamping with Masking Paper, ink up the stamp, remove the Masking Paper, and then stamp onto cardstock. This will omit the part of the stamp you don't want.

I just love this greeting so much for my girls.  I thank them for being them a lot.  I am filled with so much gratitude in being their mama, and I really am so grateful for who they are as humans! ๐Ÿ’•  I love the emotions scrapbook brings out.  And there is something so healing about putting these photos to paper.  ๐Ÿ˜

Also ... the more I look at this page, the more I have ended up loving the little black strip to the right of the photo.  I tried a full mat, and I tried a few different things.  But I really love how it just kinda makes the whole page pop with it being on that side, and pulls your eye toward the picture, instead of the strip.  Such a subtle thing, but I really love the impact.

I also SUPER love all the layered details.  I stamped the leaf in Bubble Bath.  I splattered with some black ink, I added the sequins, and those GORGEOUS die-cuts in both Basic White & Lost Lagoon - I JUST LOVE!

Now on to the card. Because I keep looking at this one too. Hee.

Colors Bubble Bath, Lost Lagoon, Berry Burst, Crumb Cake
Inks: Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, VersaMark, Whisper White Craft
Cardstock/Papers:  Crumb Cake, Bubble Bath, Lost Lagoon, Berry Burst
Stamps: Magnolia Mood
Tools:  Magnolia Mood Dies, Timber Embossing Folder, Water Painter (dipped in white ink for background splatter)
Accessories: Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins, Black & White Gingham Ribbon, Baker's Twine Essentials Pack

I really love how this turned out! And I love how the more "vintage" style still works so well with the clean look of the scrapbook page. It was also so much fun to make! I stamped the large Magnolia image in VersaMark multiple times, then embossed with White Embossing Powder. Then I took some Whisper White Craft Ink & Water Painter, and splattered some ink. To help it dry, I added some more White Embossing Powder, and heat set that. The just added the embossed background piece, die-cuts, sentiment, some ribbon, and more sequins!

All in all - I love these projects!  What is your fave detail? Thank you so much for visiting!

And I also love the projects my fellow Artisan Design Team members made!  I am SURE you want to see them!  So head to their pages to see what they made!

Sea Turtley Birthday!

Quick post today!  I was going through my camera roll, saw this card that I had photographed and thought that I had shared!  Then I realized I had not!  So need to remedy that quickly!  Hee.  In case I haven't mentioned it before,  I LOVE SEA TURTLES!

So yes ... I really love the Sea Turtle Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! And I really love how this birthday card came out.  Hee.

Colors Crumb Cake, Coastal Cabana, Lemon Lime Twist, Fresh Freesia, Basic White
Inks: Coastal Cabana, Lemon Lime Twist, Granny Apple Green, VersaMark
Cardstock/Papers: Crumb Cake, Fresh Freesia, Basic White
Stamps: Sea Turtle, Phrases For All
Tools:  Timber Embossing Folder, Heat Tool, Sponge Dauber
Accessories: Basics Embossing Powder, Linen Thread, Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins

Gah!  Isn't she so cute?!  I love her!  And I used a few fun & simple techniques to add some fun texture/detail.

๐Ÿข   Polka Dot Background!  Yes, I do this a lot.  Because I love polka dots, it's easy, & you can have a background in any color you want!  Simply take a sponge dauber, ink in Coastal Cabana, press onto the Basic White cardstock, and twist! Easy breezy polka dot!  Then repeat!

๐Ÿข   Turtle color variation!  Ink in Lemon Lime Twist ink.  DO NOT STAMP YET!  Ink a Sponge Dauber in Granny Apple Green & pounce lightly on the inked turtle in a few places.  Then stamp!  Simple to do, but packs a punch!

๐Ÿข  Cutting sentiments!  I LOVE the Phrases For All Stamp Set (retiring soon & discounted!  Get it before it's gone!!) And I love how a simple SIMPLE step can make such a difference!  This one ... simple cut the sentiment apart after stamping!  I know, right?!  This block font is super easy, but cutting off a lot of the excess cardstock around the sentiment, and getting to layer the words how you want, makes a big difference in the overall asthetic of your card! I highly recommend trying it!

๐Ÿข  Distressing! Distressing edges is an easy way to add some texture without bulk. I just use the edge of one of the blades of my Paper Snips & run it over the edges. Another easy, yet fun!, way to add some quick texture!

All in all, a pretty quick & simple card!  Would love to hear if you use anything from this card on a project of yours!  Share if you do cause I love to see!  ๐Ÿ’–

It's A Rainbow Surfboard Beach Day!!!

Love me a Beach Day! And love me some rainbows!  So why not combine them?! ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ’•  I used the Beach Day Bundle & rainbow colors to creat...
