The Rest of The Sunshine Party...

Here we go with the rest of the Sunshine Baby Shower!  Check out THIS POST and THIS POST for a few more details.

First up is some decor...

This is a centerpiece I had on a table...

Then this is a centerpiece I had on the table with all the food...

The flower bouquets were so quick and easy to put together, and I continued on with the chalkboard theme with the printable quotes I framed.  I did these in My Digital Studio and it was a BREEZE!  The little chalkboard tags were leftover from one of the Stampin' Up! kits.  I just used different alphabets to stamp baby applicable words to put in with the flowers.

Here is the rest of the food table...

I did a yogurt parfait bar, fruit and dip, breakfast casserole, sausage/crescent bites, muffins, and doughnuts.

Here is a pic of the drink/utensil bar...

I always make puffs for parties...such a fun and quick way to liven things up...

I also love doing candy bars.  I think they are fun and of course make people happy.  So this was their favor...

I made the "thanks" sign in My Digital Studio also!  Love that program!

Then here was their treat bag...

That doily on the front actually has a dual purpose.  There is a magnet on the back so they can use it when the treats are gone!

We didn't really do a lot of games.  Just a few things.  I had a name suggestion spot.  (And all of this was also done in My Digital Studio.)  And then one other "Guess what baby item Mom To Be wrote" game (that I also made in My Digital Studio).

This was a doozy of a post...but that was the gist of the party!  Hope you enjoyed!  Thanks so much for visiting my blog!  Let me know if you have any questions!  designwithink@gmail.com

Welcome With A Little Sunshine...

Yesterday I share the "sunshine" banner I made for a baby shower I threw.  You can see that in THIS POST.  Today I am sharing you the Welcome Wreath I made for the front door, to go with the sunshine theme.  Here is what welcomed each guest as they arrived...

I'm kinda in love and it may still be hanging on my door.  I figured it is the perfect "welcome to spring/summer" wreath!  :)

I continued with the chalkboard theme also...

LOVE this alphabet with any look or theme, but it's especially fun with this chalkboard look!  (It is the Epic Photopolymer Alphabet in the annual catalog.)

And just one more view...

I really love this project!  Hope you enjoy it and it inspires you to create something today!  Thanks so much for visiting!

You Are My Sunshine...

I threw a baby shower this last Saturday.  I, of course, had to make a special banner as part of the decor.  I will be sharing more of the shower, of course, but for today I am sharing the banner.

The theme was "sunshine".  She didn't know what she was having when we planned the shower, so we had to do gender neutral.  She found out the day before, so we got to do a reveal at the shower as well!  So fun!!!  But here is the banner...

I guess I should share another thing also.  The shower started with the invites. I did chalkboard style with Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana, and Daffodil Delight as the main colors.  Here is the invite (that I made with My Digital Studio, never mind the personal info that is smeared :-) ) ...

So, anyway, I had to use the Chalkboard Banner for the banner...OF COURSE!  :-)  (Can I express just how much I love the banner kits in the catalog?!?!)

The banner says "You are our Sunshine."  Here are a few more pics...

The banner really set the mode of the party, right from the get-go.  And kinda gave me the starting point of all the decor.  (And I will share all of that soon!)

Thanks for visiting!  Hope you enjoy!

You Crack Me Up...March Club Card...

This month's club projects were all about Easter.  We made the fun Easter basket I already shared.  Today I am sharing our fun Easter card.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE the "For Peep's Sake" stamp set.  SO FUN and cute!!!  This stamp set was the star of the show on this card...

How cute are those little chicks?!  I'm so in love.  :-)  And that background paper...YUM!  It's the Irresistibly Yours Designer Series Paper.  (This is a Sale-A-Bration offering...just a few more weeks of this amazing promotion where you can earn it FREE!)  I love this paper because it's so easy to color (it comes white with embossing patterns on it.  The embossed part resists the ink.) and make whatever color you need!  This time we used a Spritzer with some rubbing alcohol and Bermuda Bay re-inker.

Here are a few more pics of the details...

I hope you enjoy this project!  Thanks so much for visiting!

Eggcellent Easter Basket...March Club Project

Last week was my monthly club night.  I love club!  (Do I say that every month?!  I'm sure I do because it is a highlight of my month!)  We make a card and a 3D project each month.  This month was Berry Basket time!  Can I even begin to express my love for this fantastic die?!  The Berry Basket is SO MUCH FUN!  Enough with the blabbing...let me show you how cute these baskets are...

EEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeee...my heart swoons!  This stamp set (called "For Peep's Sake"...even the name is fantastically cute!) really shines on this cute tag.  And that bow die...yum!!  Image this cute little basket with some yummy easter treats inside!

I love the lined basket also...

We used the Sale-A-Bration Designer Series Paper, "Best Year Ever", and every pattern in this basket is amazing.  (Get it before it's gone!  March 31st is the last day you can earn it FREE!!!)

Let me know if you have any questions on anything! designwithink@gmail.com This really was a fun and quick project!  Hope you enjoy!  Thanks for visiting!

More Watercolor Wash...

I shared THIS TECHNIQUE with you last week, and have another sample using this technique to show you today!

I'm really liking the color combo here...it is Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, and Blackberry Bliss on Crumb Cake.  And I can't get enough of this watercolor technique.  It is so much fun!  I keep thinking of all these projects I want to do with it! I used the "Big On You" stamp set.  I have used this set so much since I added it to my stamp collection.  :-)  It's a fun one...I love the greetings.  I embossed it with White Embossing Powder on this card and then just swooshed the ink over it.

Hope you enjoy!  Thanks for visiting!  Let me know if you have any questions... designwithink@gmail.com.

Watercolor Wash...So Easy! So Fabulous!

I LOVE doing this easy watercolor look.  It's a new technique I have tried lately, and can't stop doing it.  Have a few samples to show you over the next few days.  Today I'm going to show you a fun and easy way to do this technique.  There are lots of different ways to do this, but this is the method I have been using.

All you need is some watercolor paper, ink pads (and/or the re-inkers), aqua painter, and your stamps with embossing powder.

First just pick your colors.  For this project I am using Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, and Wild Wasabi.  I stamped my image (this one is from "World of Dreams" stamp set) in Basic Black ink.  Then I embossed with clear embossing powder.  To get some ink for your project, you can either smoosh the lid into the pad (while the pad is closed) to get some ink pooled on the lid or you can just drop a few drops of ink onto the lid from the re-inker.  (That's what I did here.)

Then just pick up some ink with your aqua painter (squeezing some water into the brush if it seems too dry) and swoosh onto the watercolor paper where desired.  I did Pool Party first below...

Then repeat for your next color (Coastal Cabana here)...

Then repeat for your final color (Wild Wasabi)...

Isn't it so fun!  Here is the finished card...

Just added a few more elements, but the image and watercolor takes the main stage here.  Give it a try!  It's so much fun!!!

Thanks for visiting!  Hope you enjoy!  Let me know if you have any questions: designwithink@gmail.com.

Mini Birthday Banner...

Time to share another swap I made for Stampin' Up!'s Leadership's Convention.  This time is a 3D item...a little mini birthday banner.  I used the Chalkboard Banner that I LOVE so much!!!

Here is the banner...

I love the colors in this kit.  So bright and fun!  (Strawberry Slush, Bermuda Bay, Pistachio Pudding, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie)

I used the Sale-A-Bration stamp set, "Big Day."  I love this stamp set!  So much fun!  Works great with the Chalkboard technique...so right on trend!

Here are each of the pennants up close...

All the banners looked a little different because I used all the different patterns that come with the kit.  Made each one fun and unique!

Hope you enjoy this project!  Thanks so much for visiting!
