Always Card Holder...

How fun is this project?! I have to say...this is one of those things that when you're done with it...you want to take it to bed with you and put it under your pillow because you just can't leave it. :) (Haha...if you have never felt that way...DON'T JUDGE ME! :) ) I just had so much fun with this. It's not like this is my most fave project I've ever completed, but I just LOVE how amazing it is that you can do these kinds of things FROM SCRATCH. Too much fun! And maybe it's the colors and the Designer Series Paper (MY FAVE! At the moment, anyway! :) ) that make me love it so much. Anyway: it's a little purse like thing that holds coordinating cards (2 each of 2 designs), envelopes, and a matching pen. It closes with a dot of Velcro. How great of a gift would this be? I'm making some of these to sell at a my Holiday Extravaganza. We're going to have a boutique there and I'm making some of these, in different themes. Maybe, anyway. I might not be able to give them up! :)
Here it is all packaged up.
The front detail.
All the contents out of it's package. (Except for the envelopes. I left those in the package.)
Card #1. There are two each of this card.

Card #2. There are also two of this card.

Quicky Christmas...

Hey there all! It has been TOO LONG since I have posted on my blog! Crazy life, I guess. And I leave and go out of town on Sat, so I have a LOT to do before then. I'll try to get some new things up before I go and my goal is to have some things set up to post before I leave. So you don't have to be in with drawl that long. Haha...I'm just kidding! But I'll try not to leave you hanging for too long! :) Here is just a quick Christmas card. I did this for a workshop, and I am going to do it for another workshop I have coming up when I get back. I really like this layout. I sponged the edges of the card to give it some depth as well. Pretty self explanatory...I think! Let me know if you have any questions! (Oh....and I will get a tutorial for that bag posted sometime. Might not be until after I get back from vacation! I'm SORRY! I'll try to do it before though! :) ) Anyway: I apologize for the poor quality of this photo as well. I'm just in a hurry to get something posted since it's been so long. :) Better to see a poor quality photo of something than not see anything at all, right?! :)

Stamps: All Holiday, Holiday Trinkets,
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive
Card Stock: Old Olive, Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Accessories: Holiday Treasures DSP, Scallop Circle Punch, Circle Punches, Scallop Edge Punch, Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon (LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff!!!! :) )

Another Designer Series Paper Gift Bag...

Here you go....here is another bag using that same template I made THIS BAG with. (I know...I really need to do a tutorial so you guys can all know how to do this. I will try to get that done this week sometime. :) ) But...in the meantime....see how versatile it is? You just use the same concept and EASILY change the measurements and get TOTALLY different sizes for your gift bags. It's TOO MUCH FUN! :) This one I did square. And this was actually the first one I made...so don't judge me on the mistakes you see. It really isn't hard to do, I just got a bit rough with the one corner, so it ripped a bit. So just ignore it. I could have fixed it in Photoshop...but it's ok to show your mistakes, right?! :) (Plus...I'm only guessing I could fix it in Photoshop....I don't really know how to use that program that well. :) ) Anyway: here you go! I hope you enjoy! :)

Another Holiday Extravaganza Close Up..

This is another one of the projects we will be making at the Holiday Extravaganza I'm doing. I'm SO EXCITED! How CUTE is this box?! :) Just wait...it gets even better....
LOOK WHAT WE'RE MAKING FOR THE INSIDE!!! :) It's a beautiful ornament to hang on your Christmas tree. I just love this, so had to show it and share it with you! I think this box is beautiful and sparkly and texturey, and all sorts of wonderful. :) My amazing and talented downline, Kristine, made this box and ornament. SO BEAUTIFUL!
I hope this inspires you in some way! :) You have until Saturday to register for this class (or to register to receive a kit) so let me know! designwithink@gmail.com Hope you're having a fabulous day/night! :)

Christmas Bag FROM SCRATCH..

So remember THIS POST where I referenced a project you're going to love to see? Well...I finally am posting it. However, I do apologize. I didn't get the best photos or really enough views of this. So sorry. I'll try to remember to take more and update this post later. :) But still....HOW CUTE IS THIS?! A gift bag made from scratch! TOO CUTE! And it's SO easy to do. I'll try to remember to do a tutorial for it. But basically...you just need 2 SQUARE pieces of DSP. You can make all sorts of different shaped bags by just changing the measurements you use. This one is about 9 inches tall and about 8 inches across. I made a square one too that I still need to take pics of to share. This is a surprisingly sturdy bag too. TOO CUTE (I think anyway! :) )
And hey! There is that tag I promised that you would see on a project. :) We made a group of three tags at a workshop I just did and here is the Santa one showing up on this bag! I hope that you love this as much as I do. Wouldn't it be SO MUCH FUN to receive a gift in this bag! Or how about even just this bag as the gift?! :)

Hope you enjoy!

Holiday Extravaganza Close-Up! :)

This is one of the projects that we will be making at my November Holiday Extravaganza. I know I've shown pictures of everything before but I wanted to show an up close picture of this one. It's a clear envelope album and it's TOO CUTE! :) I thought it deserved a spotlight. :) By the way...this event is going to be great. We will be making 5 projects that are designed to all be great gifts for the holidays and 5 Christmas cards. All the projects are wonderful! We will feed you lunch, there will be snacks all day long, lots of prizes will be given away! If you live near Salt Lake City, Utah...we would love to have you come! If you don't live in the area but still want to participate, you can buy a kit of these projects. It will come with all the supplies needed to make each project and card, along with instructions for each. The cost would be the same, $35.00, and I will SHIP IT TO YOU FOR FREE! (Your name will also be entered into the drawings for all the prizes!) Just email me at designwithink@gmail.com if you have questions or if you would like to order a kit. Click HERE to see the original post about this. I would need to know by this Saturday (the 25th) if you are interested. Sorry for that ad. :) Here is the project...

(There are 5 pages in this book where you can put pictures, journaling, whatever. It's so cute! I think you can only really see 4 in this photo, but there are 5 so just wanted to let you know! :) )

Simple, But Precious, right?!

I know Halloween hasn't come yet, but come on! We need to be prepared f'or Christmas, right?! :) I feel like I've used this set a lot this year. It's called "Holiday Trinkets." It has 4 Bold Christmas images (this tree, a star, some holly, and an ornament) and is only $15.95. Such a fun set!

I needed a quick and simple card, so started playing around.  This is what I created! It's simple, but I think it's precious. :) It was one of those that I just wasn't sure about when I first made it. (I even asked my husband's opinion!)  I set it aside, and when I saw it again the next day, I really liked it.

Enough blabber...here is the card...what do you think?

Stamps: Holiday Trinkets, Heard from the Heart
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive
Card Stock: Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red, Whisper White
Accessories: Riding Hood Red Patters DSP, Holiday Treasures DSP, Scallop Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, Chocolate Chip 5/8" grosgrain ribbon

Altered Candy Bar...

So I think altering a candy bar is such a fun and cute treat to give someone. And I guess this time of year, you're always looking for cute and fun treats, right?! :)

I'm sure you have seen these everywhere...but here is my Christmas version of one! :)
If you haven't seen these everywhere, and want to know how to make one...here is how:

1. Measure your candy bar...add a little bit, and double it. :) Then measure the length of the candy bar and just add a little to have room on the bottom for the crimping. How's that for scientific?! :) (Here I used a 6x6 card stock piece.)
2. Score and fold the card stock in half. Put sticky strip down the one side and the bottom. Seal it all together.
3. Using a crimper, (for you 80's folks...not a hair crimper but a scrapbooking crimper..haha :) ) put the bottom of the candy bar holder in and turn the knob 4ish times. ( However far up you want the crimping.) I love the look of this, plus it helps squish the sticky strip together. :)
4. Decorate as you wish and place your candy bar inside.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions!

Gift Tag Package...

I had a workshop the other night and the hostess wanted Christmas themed ideas. Of course I was happy to oblige! :) I wanted to have a card make and take as well as a small gift make and take. I had a bunch of ideas for the small gift, but settled on this one. We made the cutest thing at Founder's Circle. It was a small cello bag with DSP fit to size. Then we punched the word window punch towards the top of the bag and put 3 small tags inside. Tie it with ribbon and gift is done. So....I took that idea and turned it Christmas-y. I used the "Holly, Jolly Christmas" set and had a lot of fun with it. (Stay tuned and I'll show the card we made) Here is the gift tag package.....

The whole bag with tags inside.
A close up of the gift tags that are inside.
****Stay tuned!!! I have a super cute project that has one of these tags on it! You'll love it!!!!! :)

Big Shot meets a 6x6 Scrapbook Page...

So first off I apologize for the lighting when I took these pics. I took these at night, and just haven't gotten around to taking another photo. So forgive me for that. :) Everything has a bit more yellowish hue than it should. Sorry! But this is just a simple 6x6 scrapbook page. I made the photo spaces with the Big Shot Scallop Circle Die. Let me tell you...I'll be showing you more projects done with this soon, but it's FABULOUS! I LOVE the Big Shot. In case any one would care about my opinion. :) So I cut the scallop with the Big Shot and then the inner circle with the Coluzzle. This page is sparkly in real life because I used iridescent ice embossing powder on the hearts and the "everything" saying. It's TOO MUCH FUN! :) I love glittery things! :)

Stamps: Always
Ink: Chocolate Chip Craft Ink, VersaMark (for background flowers)
Card Stock: Regal Rose, Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Sweet Always DSP, Regal Rose 5/8" Grosgrain ribbon, Big Shot Scallop Circle #2 Die, Coluzzle, Iridescent Ice embossing powder, Scallop Edge Border punch

Simple Card...

Hey there! I can't believe it's been since Sunday since I've posted. Is that right?! It feels like I just did...so I'm sorry! Maybe I'll share a few projects with you today then. :) I have had a busy week (my club day, a workshop, and not to mention life in general :) ) but that's no excuse. Here is a simple card I did the other day. You might have seen this layout before. :) Yes....I'm obsessed with it. I just think it's such a fun layout, and SO EASY to change to ANY event, ANY holiday, ANY reason you would need a card! So here is this layout again...I think it's pretty self explanatory. Let me know if you have any questions! Oh....the pink layer is where the front of the card ends. The saying that is stamped on the Pumpkin Pie...that is actually on the inside of the card. Sorry I didn't get a picture of that. :)

Stamps: Best Wishes and More (have you figured out yet that I LOVE this set?! :) )

Ink: Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie

Card Stock: Pumpkin Pie, Regal Rose, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White

Accessories: Sweet Always DSP, Scallop Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, 1/4" Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon

Box in a Bag of Cards....

So I have seen those Box in a Bag things everywhere. Then on UStamp, one of the projects was a Box in a Bag with the dimensions changed so that they held cards and envelopes. I decided I had to try! :) So this is the one I came up with...

I wanted to use the new Fall paper that is in the Stampin' Up! Holiday mini. It's called Autumn Vine and I LOVE it! It coordinates with a FABULOUS stamp set in the mini, called "Season of Friendship" that I had to have as soon as I saw it! :) Then I saw these cards on Heather's blog (one of the Dream Team members of UStamp) and I knew that was what I wanted to put in the bag so I pretty much just copied hers...
And VOILA! Project complete. It was a fun one. I've made a few more since, using different papers and making different cards.

***Note: I would included the pattern/measurements/etc for the Box in a Bag, but since the UStamp team charges for a subscription to get the planners and such they provide where I found this idea, I didn't think it was fair for me to do that. So sorry for the inconvience.

Card Night Cards...

Last night was the card night I've been prepping for. I can show you the cards we made now! Lucky you! :) We made 24 cards all in one night! It was crazy fun. I had designed 4 of them. I used 2 different stamp sets and we did 2 each with that stamp set.

First set was done with the "Best Wishes and More" set I mentioned in a previous post. These were the two we made with this set:

On this one...the snowflakes are so glittery and I love it. Believe me...by the end of the night glitter was EVERYWHERE!!!! I think it's worth it. :)

The next set I used was Party Hearty. This is a FABULOUS one and I LOVE the cupcake image in this set. This is actually ON SALE this month too! Spend $20.00 and get this set at a discount! You can read about the sale on the sidebar of this page. Anyway: these are the two cards I made with this set:

I will post photos of the other cards we made later on. They were all FABULOUS! I was so happy! :)

Hope you're enjoying your Saturday! And if you live in a warm place....soak up some sun for me! It's a gloomy, winter day here! Suppose to SNOW! UGH!!!

Manly card?!??!

This is another card that I designed for my upline's meeting that we will NOT be making. (Yes...we are NOT making this one so I'll share. :) I will share the cards we will be making after the event, which is on Friday night. So stay tuned for those!) I was going for a more masculine birthday card for this one, because I think that is something a lot struggle with. I know I do! :) I guess it's hard to have a "hand stamped" card look too masculine. And maybe I shouldn't have done the ribbon....hmmmmm...that's a thought to do just a strip of card stock that width instead or something. Anyway: here it is, in all it's glory! Hope it gives you some sort of inspiration! :) And can I say...I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this color combo!!!! :)

(By the way...if you follow my blog at all, this layout might look a bit familiar. I'm not saying something like this has never been done before. But it was something I came up with in my head while making a Halloween card for my Halloween class. Here is the post on that one. It's amazing what you can do with the same layout, just different stamps, accessories, colors. The possibilities...obviously...are ENDLESS! :) )

Stamps: Party Hearty
Ink: Basic Gray, Kiwi Kiss (ok...does anyone else do this?! EVERY time I spell Basic Gray...even just now...I want to spell it "Grey" like in "Grey's Anatomy!!!" Is anyone else this obsessed?! Please tell me so! :) )
Card Stock: Basic Gray (there I go again!), Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Baja Breeze Patterns DSP, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, 1" Circle Punch, 3/4" Circle Punch, Basic Gray (I actually typed the "e" that time and had to go erase it!! Any tips on how to stop that?! :) ) taffeta ribbon

There is a great tutorial for this type of card here. And I recommend trying one if you haven't already...they are quite fun! :) And look so cute too...I think! :)

Best Wishes....

So one of the projects I've been working on lately is designing cards for a big card night my upline is doing. I had two different stamp sets to make a few cards each with. Can I tell you how FABULOUS it was to have something so focused to work on?! It was great! Usually my thought process is, "Make a Christmas card." Or something like that. However...this time I HAD to use a specific stamp set and it was fun to give those two stamp sets my undivided attention. :) Anyway: I'm not going to share the ones just yet that we are going to make that night. However, I will share the ones that we are not going to be making. And I just have to put a plug in for the "Best Wishes and More" stamp set in the catalog. It's a new set, and I think it gets overlooked a lot. I LOVE LOVE this set! If you are a new stamper, it is PERFECT for you because there is a stamp for any occasion and lots of phrases to go with it! Anyway...there is my plug. All three of these cards use no other stamps but what comes with the set. I hope you enjoy!
