Halloween Is Almost Here...

I can't believe Halloween is coming!  It's on Friday!  I just have a quick card to share today.  Halloween related...

Project Supplies (all Stampin' Up!)

Project Colors: Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, Basic Black, Hello Honey
Stamp Sets:  Holiday Invitation, Fall Fest
Accessories: Wooden Elements, Basic Black Embossing Powder, Calypso Coral Chevron Ribbon, Whisper White Baker's Twine, Motley Monsters Designer Series Paper, Fun Fall Framelits with Big Shot

A couple things on this card.  First...the background with all the fun Halloween Monsters is from the Motley Monsters Designer Series Paper pack.  It's such a fun pack and so easy to make quick cards with!  Then second...see that black starburst behind the pumpkin?!  Well...that's actually our Wooden Elements.  I know, I know.  They normally don't look like that. This is what they normally look like...

See that starburst one?  That's the one on this card.  And I actually EMBOSSED it!  So fun...right?!  I just dipped it into VersaMark, then dumped Basic Black embossing powder on it.  I heat set it.  I believe I even may have done 2 "coats" of that on this piece.  I wanted it really shiny and fun looking.  Here is a closer pic...

So yes!  EMBOSS our embellishments!  (I will be sharing more projects with this technique so stay tuned!)

Hope you enjoyed this card!  Thanks for visiting! Like me on Facebook also!  (Search for Design With Ink or just click here... https://www.facebook.com/designwithink)

Back In The Summer...

Here is a quick card I made back in the summer, around Stampin' Up! convention time in July.  I made it for a swap (make a bunch of one card and swap with others that have done the same) we had at the party I co-planned.  I posted a bit about that party HERE. Anyway, here is the swap I made.  I wanted to showcase all the new In Colors.  So here they all are.  They look amazing together...

This stamp set is so much fun to use.  Get a fun watercolor look, so easily.  Here is the set showing you all the images included...it is called "Work Of Art".

Project Supplies (all Stampin' Up!)

Project Colors: Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, Tangelo Twist, Mossy Meadow
Stamp Set:  Work Of Art
Accessories: Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, Rhinestones, Tangelo Twist Satin Ribbon, 2014-2016 In Color Backgrounds Designer Series Paper Stack

And here are some close-up pictures...

More Wedding Fun...

A few weeks ago we hosted a wedding open house in our backyard for a dear friend of mine.  We had a great time!  It all turned out beautifully.  Here is a banner I made for the occasion, using her wedding colors (and the Celebration Banner Kit in the annual catalog)...

I have made SO MANY banners with this kit!  I LOVE them!  It's such a great starting point and SO EASY to add whatever color(s) you need for your event.  I also LOVE doing the circle garland.  It's SO easy to do!  Just punch out whatever circles you want (I used 2 1/2" here, but you can easily use all different sized also) and just sew them together, however long you need it to be!  It's so quick and easy (and I don't really sew at all or really know how to use my machine very well).

Here are some more pics...

I really love that 3D heard on the ends of the banner...

All I did was use my Hearts Framelits and Big Shot to cut out 4 of the same size heart.  (Looking back...maybe I would of done more hearts to give a fuller look.)  Then just fold them in half, adhere them all together, and then adhere it to the banner.  So easy and adds some extra interest.

Hope you enjoy this banner!  Thanks so much for visiting!

Quick and Spooky Halloween Treat...

My daughter went to a Halloween party yesterday.  I wanted to send a treat to the party, but of course it had to go with the theme.  So here is the quick and easy Spooky Halloween treat we put together...

Just made some rice cereal treats, added some Halloween sprinkles and candy corn to the top, put them in cupcake holders, and added some spooky ghosts...

The party was for 8 and 9 year old girls, so I knew they would appreciate the extra effort.  (But really...it was so quick!  My daughter helped, and she SOOOOO appreciates these things.  I get to hear all sorts of wonderful compliments from her while we work, so maybe it's a bit selfish of me to do this.  ;-) )

The ghosts were made with the "Fall Fest" Photopolymer bundle (which includes the Fall Fest Stamp Set and the Fun Fall Framelits collection).  Here is a pic of the bundle...

So fun!!  (I have gotten quite a bit of use out of this bundle this season!)  I made the ghosts with Shimmery White cardstock, so they shimmer in real life...

All in all...a quick, easy, and fun project...so what's not to love?!  You could easily do this with pumpkins for any fall party you have as well!

October Club Project...

Guess it's time I post the club project we did a week ago!  :)  I posted the card we made HERE.  I love this project.  People have been going CRAZY with the Curvy Keepsakes Box Thinlits die that is in the Stampin' Up Holiday Catalog.  SO MANY things you can do!  Well I saw something similar to what I made and I just fell in love!  I knew we had to make one for club.  (I can't find where I originally saw it now, sadly!)  But what do you think?  Do you love this?! ...

SO CUTE, right?!  :)  Here are a few more shots...

So easy to feel with yummy treats (or any small gift)...

These would be so fun for any of your holiday needs!  How about even adding a name to each of them and use them on your holiday table?  I just love this project!

Project Supplies (all Stampin' Up!)

Project Colors: Chocolate Chip, Hello Honey, Tangerine Tango
Accessories: Curvy Keepsakes Box Thinlit Die, Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack, Large Scallop Edgelit Die, 1" Circle Punch, Owl Builder Punch, Triangle Punch, Hello Honey Satin Stitched Ribbon, Gold Sequin Trim

Hope you enjoy!  Thanks so much for visiting!  Let me know if you would like to order any of these supplies or learn more about being a part of my club.  (Anyone in the United States can join!) designwithink@gmail.com

October Club Card...

Tonight was my monthly club night!  Yay!  So much fun!  (I have posted info about my club in the past so I will just say this tonight...if you want info on my club or interested in maybe joining...just send me an email and let me know...designwithink@gmail.com.  Anyone can join...even if you aren't local to me.)

My club gals make two projects every month.  FREE!  A card and a 3D item.  Today I will share the card...

I try to be a little ahead of the holidays when doing our club projects.  So we did Halloween last month and this month we did Thanksgiving/fall.  I think this card is so much fun! We used the stamp set, "For All Things".  I LOVE this one!  It's a quick way to get a watercolor look.

Project Supplies (all Stampin' Up!)

Project Colors: Very Vanilla, Pool Party, Crumb Cake, Blackberry Bliss, Soft Suede, Hello Honey
Stamp Sets:  For All Things, Gorgeous Grunge
Accessories: Motley Monsters Designer Series Paper, Burlap Ribbon, Woodgrain Embossing Folder with Big Shot, Antique Brads, Linen Thread, Gold Sequin Trim

A few more pics...

I LOVE the loopy look that's very trendy these days.  Loop your ribbon, threads, etc instead of tying them.  So much fun!

Let me just say...I am not in love with the Gold trend that is everywhere.  Gold...well...I just don't prefer it.  But that is NOT the case with the Gold sequins.  I. LOVE. THESE. SEQUINS.  Use them all the time.  A little strand here, a few scattered sequins there.  It makes a project.  I love them.

Hope you enjoy this project!  It was fun sharing it with you!  Thanks so much for visiting!  Email me if you have any questions... designwithink@gmail.com.

Everyone Loves Presents, Right?!

My mom said something for her birthday one year that I am constantly still chuckling at.  (I have the MOST AMAZING mom...just saying!)  I told her I needed to get her birthday gift to her.  She says, "I hate birthdays {meaning her birthday}...so a present would be good."  I just laughed and she did too cause that wasn't really what she meant.  But it was so funny.  So when I made this card I remembered that comment and chuckled again.  Everyone loves presents and being spoiled on their birthday, right?!  So here's a fun card you can make for someone on their big day to help spoil them.  Just make sure to include a present with it!  :)  Hee.

Here are a few more pics of the details...

My computer and internet are being a little wonky so I will have to come back and update this post with a supply list.  But thanks so much for visiting!  Email me: designwithink@gmail.com with any questions!  Hope you are having a great day!

Paper Flowers Birthday Fun...

I LOVE making paper flowers.  I don't know what it is...but I love watching this flat piece of "boring" cardstock become something truly amazing and beautiful.  It's always amazing to me how you can manipulate a piece of paper and what you can turn it in to!  (Guess that's why I LOVE paper crafting so much!!!)  Ok...that could get majorly off topic...and you came to see something cute, right?!  :)  SOOO....how about I just show you a fun birthday box that I made with some paper flowers?!  :) Again...like my LAST POST...the stamping on this project is using the Birthday Surprise stamp set that is in the Annual catalog...

I love this box!  This box could be a gift just by itself!  :-)

Project Supplies (all Stampin' Up!)

Project Colors: Melon Mambo, Coastal Cabana, Hello Honey, Pistachio Pudding, Whisper White (these were the cardstock colors I used also)
Stamp Sets:  Birthday Surprise
Accessories: Blossom Punch, Pansy Punch, 1 1/4" Scallop Circle Punch, Gold Sequin Trim, Sponge, Brads, Kraft Gift Box

Here are a few more pics of some details...

Now...when I spend the time to make wrapping like this...it make make you want to cry to think of someone just ripping open the package and ruining it all.  :)  Well...I try to make it easy for the recipient to open and keep everything "fresh".  That way they can even re-use the gift box again!  So for projects like this...I use belly bands A LOT!  (That is just a removable band that you can add your "flair" to but easily remove to open.  So the green belly band on this box just slides right off (I made it out of cardstock so it would hold up to the weight of the flowers) and you can open the box to easily get the gift...

Fun and easy, right?!  Also...I just added the gold sequins to the front and back of the box...so the sequins wouldn't get in the way of the belly band sliding on and off.

Hope you enjoy this project!  Thanks so much for visiting!

Birthday Surprise...

I love celebrating people's birthday's.  I think it's so much fun to have a special day to show love to the people you care about.  I have had my eye on the "Birthday Surprise" stamp set in the main catalog because of this love I have of birthday's.  I just am drawn to the big bold greetings and images in this set.  Here is a pic of the set...

So fun!  RIGHT?!?!  Well here is a card I made with it...

Would be fun for anyone to receive for their birthday, right?!  Used a color combo I haven't used before either, and it was fun to use!

Card Colors: Pool Party, Daffodil Delight, Night of Navy, Blackberry Bliss
Stamp Sets:  Birthday Surprise, Dotty Angles (dots in background)
Accessories: Maritime Designer Series Paper, Tea Lace Doilies, Clear Embossing Powder, Silver Glimmer Paper, Rhinestones, Finishing Touches Edgelit Dies with Big Shot

Here are some pics of some details...

Love that bling, right?!  :-)

If you follow my blog regularly...you may be sick of seeing this little doily trick that I do a lot.  :-)  But I LOVE coloring the doilies.  All I do is just smoosh my ink pad all over the doily (make sure it is a nice and juicy ink pad.  Just add some ink to it if it isn't juicy enough) and then emboss with some clear embossing powder to make it shiny.

I hope you enjoy this card!  Thanks so much for visiting!  I will have a few more samples with this stamp set to share over this next week so stay tuned!

Bold and Red Hi There...

Well here is the group of projects that I made with the "A Happy Hooray" stamp set...

I have showcased four of these projects on my blog already.  HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE in case you need to go back and look.  Today...I will showcase the last one in this group.  I love how bold this card is, yet it was SO QUICK and easy to make!  Lots of white space on cards is very trendy these days, and this card definitely has a lot of white space.  But still so much fun.  Here is the card...

HI THERE!  Doesn't this card just scream a bold Hi there?!?!?!  I love it!  And I LOVE that file edge!!  I made it SO QUICK AND EASILY with the File Tabs Edgelit dies. So fun!  Then I just did a line of paper piercing down the edge to make it pop a bit more.

I stamped the feather in Pool Party ink, and then stamped it two more times, moving the stamp a little each time.  But I never re-inked the stamp.  I liked the color variation it gave (you actually can barely see the third feather in this picture, it's in the middle of the two darker ones.  You can see it better in real life.) with just one ink color.  It's a fun technique...give it a try!  :)

I really hope you enjoyed this card, and all the projects that I have shared with this stamp set.  It's a FUN stamp set!  So many possibilities!

Card Colors:  Real Red, Pool Party, Whisper White
Stamp Set: A Happy Hooray
Accessories:  Maritime Designer Series Paper, Linen Thread, Rhinestones, File Tabs Edgelit Dies with Big Shot, Essentials Paper Piercing Pack, Paper Piercer and Paper Piercing Mat

Happy Thanks Gift Bag...

Need an idea to wrap a small gift?!  Well...I LOVE the Muslin bags in the Stampin' Up! catalog.  They are so fun to alter and make for whatever occasion you need.  Here is one I made with the "A Happy Hooray" stamp set...

Love all the little elements to this bag.  I especially love the feathers.  I stamped them onto Vellum cardstock and embossed them with clear embossing powder.

So fun, right?! I love the more subtle look the Vellum gives.

I love adding little pieces and banners to my project. That fun glimmer detail piece is cut out with the Big Shot and the "Finishing Touches" Edgelit Dies.  SO MUCH FUN to use!

I also added a little Lost Lagoon around the bag, just to add another touch of color.  There is already a twine to close the bag with, so you don't have to add this.  But it adds a nice touch, I think...

Hope you enjoy this project!  Please let me know if you have any questions!  designwithink@gmail.com
