A Water Bottle as Decor?!?!

TODAY is the LAST DAY to order from THIS fabulous catalog...
AHHHHH!!! This catalog is SO AMAZING!!!!! I will be sad to see SO many things go! One of my FAVORITE sets is the "I {Heart} Hearts" set. I have used this quite a bit and had lots of fun with it. Then when I went to a training meeting 2 weeks ago...they gave us water bottles to drink. However...it wasn't just ANY water bottle. This was a Stampin' Up! training event! :) Look at this water bottle we got...AHHHHH!!! SO CUTE!!!! Made with the FABULOUS heart stamp set!!!! Here is a close-up...
Then even look at the detail at the top...a cute white scallop around the hole that goes over the water bottle...
I LOVE IT!!!! :) Thanks to whomever made these! (I'm not sure who or I would tell you! :) )
If you need to order anything out of the catalog, feel free to email me at designwithink@gmail.com up to about 11pm (Mountain Standard Time) tonight OR you can place your own order on my website: www.ashleyvancamp.stampinup.net Let me know if you have any questions as well!!!

Magnetic Swap...

One of the BEST things about attending any kind of Stampin' Up! event is the SWAPPING! You trade the cards you make with the cards other people have made. It's a great way to get lots of ideas quickly! And we have some FABULOUS stampers in our group! This swap I just have to share with you because it is AWESOME! It was done by my friend, Mindy Bywater. She is amazing...and I know you'll agree after you see this card...
Look at how freaking cute! (And look at my cute daughter's hand holding the card closed in the bottom right corner. :) ) I LOVE this card. That whole middle section is actually cut out of the front of the card. The blue Designer Series Paper is on the inside of the card. And that flower is actually a magnet you can take off the card!!!! Brilliant! Here is an up-close view...
The flower is made with the Daisies #2 Big Shot die. (AGAIN...another Big Shot project...LOVE that thing!!!) And then look at the window cut out and the inside of the card. I LOVE this idea! SERIOUSLY love it!!!!
Isn't it fabulous! Thanks Mindy!!! I hope you enjoy! Thanks for visiting!!!

Rag Bag Tme...

Ok...I'm BACK! :) I feel like I have been through a whirlwind the past 2 weeks! I went out of town about 1 1/2 hours away about 2 weeks ago for a Stampin' Up! training meeting with other demonstrators. So I have lots to share from then. But then AS SOON as I got back from that meeting...we jumped in the car and headed out of town on a fun family vacation! We took a cruise to the Mexican Riveria and it was a blast!!! Then the past few days have been spent trying to get back into gear with things! I have had a blast but now it's time to get back into real life...huh?! :) And today I wanted to share with you one of the projects I completed at my training meeting. Let me just tell you....I AM ADDICTED!!!! I made a Rag Bag using some fabric, thread, sewing machine, and THE BIG SHOT!!! Oh my goodness! The Big Shot is AMAZING and will cut through EIGHT layers of fabric!!!! Now...I knew the Big Shot was amazing and I use it in just about EVERY project I make! It's even MORE amazing to me now!!! AHHHHH!!! Now you will be seeing some fun fabric projects on my blog every so often! :) And let me tell you....if you don't have a Big Shot yet...YOU NEED IT!!! :) Here are some pics of the bag I made...
Isn't it FUN! And Stampin' Up has some fabulous ribbon to coordinate with any project. On this one I used two. The Rose Red is sewn onto the Pumpkin Pie stripe. Thought that was such a fun touch my upline shared with me!!! :) Now...to get the "square" to make the bag...this is where the Big Shot comes in. I just cut strips of fabric and folded them up to make eight layers and then ran it through the Big Shot with the Scallop Square die and my clear cutting pads. It cuts through all layers fabulously!!! Then once you have your bag made...you just snip the fabric at the valley of the scallop and wash. It will kinda fray up and give you the "rag bag" look! Here is a close-up...
HOW CUTE! Then OF COURSE you have to have a fun flower to match your bag! I made this one with the Flower Folds die and the Scallop #2 die. HOW CUTE!!!!! And yes...you could make these flowers for anything. I will be making some to put in my daughter's hair for sure! :)

Also...you should know...I am NOT a sewer AT ALL! Seriously....I have sewn maybe a few times in my life...and that was in Home Economics class!!! Sewing machines run from me! But I gave it a shot and I'm SO EXICTED! I had a few issues (broken needles, etc.) but I kept pushing forward and SO GLAD I DID BECAUSE LOOK AT THIS! :) I am just a bit excited. :)
Anyway....I hope you enjoy! Thanks for visiting!

Birdie Thanks...

I LOVE this birdie card! But I have to tell you...I DID NOT design it! I copied it from someone else's blog. I changed the colors and Designer Series Paper...but it is the same design! Now...I want to give proper credit and tell you where I got this. But before I left (these posts are all scheduled to post while I am out of town) I couldn't find it. So when I get back...I will find it and let you know! If you know...please send me an email! :) But here is the card...

SERIOUSLY how cute and sweet! LOVE the bird! Here is a close-up...
I punched some holes just above the ribbon. The sentiment is from the Chit Chat rub-ons. Then here is the bird...

Love that textured cardstock with the Designer Series Paper wing. And the Old Olive leaves are done with textured cardstock as well!

Hope you enjoy! Thanks for visiting!

SNEAKY SNEAK...

I was in a swap with other fellow demonstrators. Our theme was to use products from the NEW SUMMER MINI catalog that starts in MAY!!!! As demonstrators...we can pre-order products a month early. So YOU get a sneak peak at some fun products! :) Here was the swap card I made... There is a whole tropical themed line in the new mini that I JUST LOVE!!!! Look at that SUPER FUN Designer Series Paper! And that stamp set...YUM! And the background on my card is done with a new textured embossing folder! Here is a close-up...
On the drink I actually did a whole layer of Crystal Effects. So it gives it a raised bubble look and I LOVE it! Then those YUMMY corduroy brads! Fab-o! My color combo...So Saffron, Tempting Turquoise, Close to Cocoa, and Pumpkin Pie.

Hope you enjoy! Thanks for visiting! Same reminder...I'm out of town and will respond to any emails about anything when I get back! :) And if you need a Summer Mini catalog sent to you...I'm happy to get you one! Just email me your address and I will send one out...free of charge!

Sparkly Butterfly...Part 2...

Here is that glitter technique again! I LOVE IT! My last post was a similar card to this. But I just loved doing it so much...I wanted to make a pink and brown one! :) And this card is 3x6 instead of 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. Here is this card...

Look at that FUN pink and brown glitter! LOVE IT! These butterflies are done with the Beautiful Butterflies die in the big catalog as well as the embosslit butterfly die in the mini catalog. Here is a close-up of the glitter...
And the butterflies...
I spritzed this whole card with my shimmer spray as well...so it's SO sparkly in real life! LOVE IT! Hope you enjoy!!! Thanks for visiting! (FYI...I am out of town without email access so if you have any questions or anything...feel free to let me know. I will get back to you when I am back! :) )

Sparkly Butterfly...

Last week my hubby surprised me telling me we are going on a cruise!!! So when you read this...I will most likely be getting on our boat! So all the posts that will be happening this week....I am scheduling to post. So any questions or emails you send...I will respond to next week since I won't have email access while we are gone. BUT...I did want to share some fun projects with you while I was away.

This card is SUPER fun in real life! It is SO sparkly! Here is the card...

The bottom stripes I made my own glitter paper! I made it with the Sticky Sheets (just like the Sticky Strip rolls but it's a WHOLE big sheet instead!). Then I just cut lines in it with my hobby blade...peeled up one section and dumped glitter on it. (This is the Fine Supernova Glitter.) Then just kinda press it in there and shake off the excess. Repeat for all the stripes and you have a fabulous background! I also spritzed the card with my shimmer spray so the whole thing is sparkly! Here is a close-up of the glitter...
And hopefully you can see the shimmer on the butterflies...
The butterflies were cut out with my Big Shot and the Butterfly Embosslit in the Occasions Mini catalog. It EMBOSSES AND CUTS OUT the butterflies with one run through the Big Shot! Amazing!!! :)
Thanks for visiting! Hope you enjoy! I have another card made with this same technique next! :)

Clearly Birthday...

I love making cards that have a window sheet overlay. They are too much fun. It's hard to photograph...but in real life it is all shiny and pretty. :) I will try to show you how it works...here is the card...

I think this is a fun masculine birthday. And the "Celebrate You" is actually on the inside of the card...
Then the window sheet is over the Designer Series Paper and the "you take the cake" banner is on the window sheet. Here are the different layers...
The color combo is Whisper White, Taken With Teal, Basic Gray, and Pumpkin Pie. The Designer Series Paper is from that FABULOUS Sweet Pea paper pack.
Thanks for visiting and hope you enjoy!!!

CLUB TIME...part 2!!!

This is the 3-D project we made for club this month. I love making these. We cut out two of the Box #2 dies. Then you make both boxes...but just don't fold the flap down. Instead...you glue the flaps together and that makes the tall part of the box! FUN! :) And...we used the Sweet Pea Paper pack that is in the Occasions Mini (last month to order from this!) so they were all different! Here is the one I did...
How much fun are those birds?! And then they all used different colored buttons and such. It was fun! Here are some more pics...
And on the bottom of each of the boxes we glued a piece of cardstock just to make the bottom a bit more sturdy. :)

Hope you enjoy! Thanks for visiting!!!

CLUB TIME!!!

Today was club! I know I say this all the time...but I really LOVE it! We have such a great time and I have the best gals in my club! Here is the card we made today...

I wanted to make sure they had a Mother's Day card...but they could also change the sentiment if they needed to. I used the "Awash With Flowers" set that you can pre-order this month only. It will be in the next catalog that starts with July! So you could own a set THREE months early! :) Here is a flyer so you know what I am talking about... http://www.stampinup.com/us/documents/TwoStep_0310.pdf And is a close up of some of the details...
We used a circle rhinestone brad in the middle. These are probably one of my favorite accessories! They add so much fun bling! :) (Ok...so any accessory I'm using at the time is kinda my fave...I'm not picky! But I REALLY love these! :) ) And then the Rich Razzleberry textured piece is actually glued on the inside of the card. Here is how it looks...
We used the Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder (in the Occasions Mini catalog...LAST MONTH to order from this one!) for the background. And we used the Hugs notes (also in the Mini) to stamp the flower one (the scalloped rectangle). OH...and I had to use this color combo (Pale Plum, Rich Razzleberry, Certainly Celery, and Close to Cocoa) before both Pale Plum and Close to Cocoa ARE GONE!!!! (They are part of the retiring colors I wrote about... http://designwithink.blogspot.com/2010/04/change-is-fresh-and-fun.html
Anyway...thanks for visiting! Hope you enjoy!

Change is FRESH and FUN...

Stampin' Up! has just announced an EXCITING change!!! Stampin' Up! colors are getting re-vamped!!! They are adding FIVE new colors to their core color collections AND bringing back 10 past In-Color colors!!!! WOWSERS! :) They are retiring some of the colors that aren't as popular and just freshening up all their color lines! Colors will now be organized in "Color Collections" instead of "Color Families." I honestly am SO EXCITED! The new colors they are adding are FABULOUS. Here is a color chart of what it will all look like...

Now...I am sad to see some go. (YES! I will be stocking up on some before they are gone! :) ) Here are the ones we are saying goodbye to....I think this is such great news though and am glad it's finally happening! :) Also....they will still be bringing out FIVE new In Colors each year!!! Birthday Galore...

You are probably wondering why I haven't been posting too regularly...right?! (Or maybe you didn't even notice I was gone...sad. :) ) Well...Stampin' Up! has a contest for their demonstrators. It's called "Artisan Award" and it's the biggest stamping contest they do. You submit FIVE cards, THREE scrapbook pages, and TWO 3-D items to them. Then out of all the entries their receive...they judge them all and pick 10 winners. (It's a BIG deal to win this....and I kinda decided last minute to just give it a shot. It's the first time I've enter ANY stamping related contest...so I'm a bit nervous. But...the fun news is I AM DONE! I delivered it all YESTERDAY so it is out of my hands. Anyway....it was A TON of work to do and so all my spare time was spent getting stuff ready for that. I LOVE what I did...but can't show you yet. :) Sorry. It's sad because I won't get my projects back...they are Stampin' Up's now. But I'm hoping to re-create them at some point. :) I do have a few pictures to show you what my stamping room looked like during the process. And actually....I was cleaning this room quite a bit (once I got to where I was working with like a 2 inch x 2 inch space I would have to pick stuff up. :) ). And this picture isn't as bad as it did get. BUT just trust me when I say that stuff was EVERYWHERE!!! On EVERY surface of my room I had STACKS of crap! :) It was fun though. So here's a bit of a peek... And this was no where near the worst that it was. And seriously....STACKS of stuff EVERYWHERE...

You can't totally tell, but it's stacked pretty high. :)
Anyway...the cards I am showing you today are ones I worked on during all of this. I loved the color combo so I wanted to make it work. So I tried a few different versions. In the end...I just did other ones I liked more...so never submitted anything like this. So you get to see these now! Here is the fist one...
They are all birthday themed and I think the color combo is fun. It's Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Crushed Curry, Tempting Turquoise and Old Olive. Here are some close-up details...
I glittered parts of each item and also...the background was embossed with Iridescent Ice embossing powder so it was shimmery as well. The stamp set is Itty Bitty Birthday and is a super fun one! :)
This next card I took from my brother's birthday card...
Except I used beads for the balloons. I want to make this again but use more beads. I was starting to run out of these colors....and wanted to save some in case I did make it to turn in for the contest. :) But I like the idea and this one was super fun to make! :) Here is a close-up...
More embossing using the Iridescent Ice powder...it is on both the background and the greeting. Shiny sparkly fun! :) And here is a close-up of the beads. Again...I would definitely put more in next time...
Oh...and the colors are Real Red, Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise, Chocolate Chip, and Pumpkin Pie. And it's a 6x6 card.
This last one was fun too...
I made it a 5x5 card. Same colors as the last one. The scallop piece are the "Hugs" notes that are in the mini catalog. This is the LAST month you can order from this! :) Here are some close-up's...
Sparkly cupcakes and sparkly background too! Iridescent Ice for the background and Dazzling Diamonds applied with 2-way glue pen on the cupcakes. And finally...the greeting...

I love that Real Red Corduroy brad accent.
Hope you enjoy! Thanks for visiting!

Birthday Balloon Fun...

My brother had a birthday last month and I finally got him his present. He is buying a house and stuff so I just wanted to give him cash. But of course he had to get it in a fun way! So this is the card I made...
I LOVE the Sweet Treat Cups! How much fun! :) Now...I don't LOVE this card but I just didn't have the time to spend on it as I would have liked. So it is what it is. :) Hope you enjoy! Here are some close-ups...
