My Madi's First Birthday...

On Saturday we were lucky enough to be able to celebrate this beauty...
My little Madi is ONE!!!! (Pause to wipe the tears!) How FAST this last year has flown!!!! She is such a sweet baby! She truly is "Our Little Sunshine" so our theme for the party....we were having a SUNSHINE picnic party!!!! I will share some of the details over the next few days! I was VERY busy getting all of this put together and ready. And had some FABULOUS helpers (my hubby is awesome and my parents were in town and helped as well) to clean/set-up for the party so it all went off without a hitch. It was a great time! Today I am going to show you the front table I had set up to welcome the guests. Right when they walked in the front door, this table was set up on the right, just in front of my living room. Here it is...

(Don't worry. I know it's hard to really see everything so I have close-ups below.) Everything was done in yellow and orange and hot pink. With splashes of turquoise. (And OH MY GOODNESS! I haven't shared the invite yet! Ooops! I will get pics of that and post that another day. :) ) I had both my girls in yellow. I already showed you the Birthday girl. Here is my other ADORABLE daughter! She is almost 6, going on 16! ...Isn't she so dang cute?!?!? Love this one!!!! Here is a close-up of her headband I made with the Big Shot, the Island Floral die and some of those FABULOUS Corduroy buttons that have been on the clearance rack for awhile...
Then some close-up of some of the details. When the kiddos first got there (we had a mix of adults and kiddos) they got a pair of sunglasses (cause it was just too bright with our SUNSHINE there!) and these cute "sunny" rings. (I know they are flowers but they looked too sunshine-y to resist!) Even the boys wore them and loved them!!!! (And there may or may not have been an adult male that loved wearing one also!!! Can I just say that I LOVE when people get into the theme of parties and enjoy it...no matter what it is?! :) ) I know I didn't make these rings but here is a close-up of their total cuteness...
And then who could resist these cute pinwheels??!?! Then this I made with a canvas, some paint, and my baby's initial. I am going to hang this in her room now. Love things with double purpose!!!
Then here is the reason we were celebrating...For this I printed a 8x10 photo and matted it on Pumpkin Pie cardstock. Then I made a mat with Daffodil Delight Designer Series Paper and put it in an 11x14 frame. Added some retired fat Pumpkin Pie ribbon, and there you go! A darling photo of my baby girl!!!!

Then this next item you may not have even noticed in the photo of the front table. They were prominent on the table though...I just didn't get a good shot of it. So I re-took some pics of this so you could see them cause I LOVE these!
Can I begin to tell you how much I LOVE the Framelits dies for the Big Shot?! Cause I do!!!! :) They are so much fun! I just cut two different sizes of the Labels and made the toppers for these. Then hot glued them to skewers I had wrapped with Daffodil Delight ribbon. Tied some ribbon on it (used a lot of retired ribbon for these projects) and then stuck them in some Styrofoam on the bottom of the pot...topped with some of those decorative glass marble type thing-ys. And the fun yellow buckets! Just perfect! I had lots of fun making these! Here are some close-up photos...
And then who could forget favors?! I just had them sitting here so they could grab them as they leave. Here's a shot of both the adult and kid favors all on the same tray...The adult ones are on the left and the kid ones on the right. The kids ones was just an orange bag filled with some toys and treats and tied with a ribbon. The adult ones were these CUTE flower YELLOW silicone baking cups filled with Orange and Cherry slices candy. Wrapped in a cello bag and tied with a ribbon. Then a cute tag adhered on. Here are some photos of that...I had just printed the saying on my computer onto Daffodil Delight cardstock. Then sponged edges and stamped a retired sun on them.

Hope you enjoy this first look into our fun birthday party for my baby! :) Will share more throughout the week! Thanks for visiting!
