Embossing Frenzy...TGIF Challenge 227!!

Challenge day, Challenge day, who loves a good Challenge day?! (Ok...I totally just made up a little tune and sang that in my head. Give it a try! Hee. 😀)

I LOVE this challenge because it's all about embossing powder! And I LOVE embossing. One of the first things I saw & fell in love with at my first Stampin' Up! workshop--and I still love it so much to this day!!!

In real life...that tropical foliage is so shiny and pretty!

I did just a touch of color so that the gold foliage would be the focal point. I pretty much love it. What do you think?!

Have you used the Shimmer Detailed Laser-Cut Paper yet?! It is GORGEOUS!!! One side of these BEAUTIFULLY delicate papers is all shimmery and gorgeous. I combined one piece of the sheets with the For the Love of Felt Stamp Set to make this subtle beauty:

Framing a Magnolia...August Club Card:

Hey hey! So I shared the project we made at my club gathering earlier in THIS POST. Guess it's time I share the card we made!

Stamps: Good Morning Magnolia

Tools: Heirloom Frames Dies & 3D Embossing Folder, Magnolia Memory Dies, Heat Tool

Accessories: Whisper White Baker's Twine, Gold Embossing Powder, Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins

This is a card that is actually way cuter in person. The colors of the flower are so much more dynamic. But...I still love it. I LOVE this frame!!!

It is made with the Heirloom Frame Dies & 3D Embossing Folders. They come with a rectangle and an oval...with a die to cut out the shape and a folder to emboss. So stunning!! And that flower is colored with the Pigment Sprinkles...which is one of my VERY favorite things these days. They colors are just so vibrant. I am in love.

Paint My World With Happiness...

Have you checked out the Follow Your Art Suite yet?! It is PERFECT to use for any crafter! So many fun pieces to this suite that make my crafty heart smile. Today...I am sharing a QUICK set of cards that I made...where the Designer Series Paper did most of the work for me!

(Am I the only one that LOVES to see the bundle of cards all together after you make a set?! 😍)

Accessories: Whisper White Embossing Powder, Silver 3/8" Metallic Edge Ribbon, Silver Thread, Iridescent Sequin Assortment

And as quick & easy as they are, there are still some fun details. Once more, I colored some white ribbon (the Silver 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon here) with a Blends Marker to make it the color I wanted. (I used the Light Bermuda Bay to make it a Coastal Cabana color.) I love the touch of color that it gives to the card.

And sequins...always sequins. 😂 They are so easy to add to any projects with just a little Multipurpose Liquid Glue and my Take Your Pick Tool. And they add such a fun touch to anything!

I hope you enjoy this card! I hope that it also inspires you to USE that Designer Series Paper that you love so much, instead of just hoarding it! (I know I'm not the only one that does that! Hee.) That is another reason I love this layout so much...you can see so much of the fabulously designed paper! 😍

Noble Peacock With Petal Pink...

I LOVE the Noble Peacock Suite. I love the bold colors in the suite as well. However...my teenage daughter saw the peacock that I had stamped, handed me a piece of cardstock, and said, "Mom! You should use this pink with that peacock!" There was no way I was saying no to that! So thank to Kylie...here is the card I made:

I love this elegant peacock. I love the layered stamps that come with the stamp set also. So easy to add that fabulous gold embossing:

This is from the Nature's Twine pack. I just pulled a few strands from the Grapefruit Grove color and tied it into a bow. It makes it thinner and gives it that crinkled look. I love it!!

I'm excited to share the first thing we made at my club night this month. Since it is "back to school" time...I thought this would be a fun project for the month. I have made these before years ago, but I haven't made one in awhile. However...Post-It's never go out of style, right?! 😀

Instagram Tip With Layered Backgrounds!

My heart skipped a beat again today!!

***I HAVE ANOTHER TIP UP ON STAMPIN' UP!'S INSTAGRAM PAGE!!!*** It seriously makes my heart flutter when I open up Instagram and see that Stampin' Up! has tagged me. Stampin' Up! has added SOOOOOO much to my life. The fact that I can give back in such a small way is such a dream for me. I love it! I used Pigment Sprinkles and Embossing Paste for this layered background. But the possibilities are endless!! (Embossing folders, watercoloring, Designer Series Paper, stamping, punches, framelits, etc, etc!!!) I truly 💕 LOVE LOVE LOVE 💕 the Pigment Sprinkles though! And the Embossing Paste!

Colors: Melon Mambo, Mango Melody, Bermuda Bay, Basic Black, Whisper White

Ink Pads: Pigment Sprinkles: Mango Melody, Melon Mambo, VersaMark

Cardstock/Papers: Thick Whisper White, Basic Black, Bermuda Bay, Basic Black, Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper

Stamps: Broadway Birthday

Tools: Stitched Rectangle Dies, Broadway Lights Dies, Pattern Party Decorative Masks, Palette Knives, Heat Tool, Decorative Ribbon Border Punch

Accessories: Whisper White Embossing Powder, Whisper White Baker's Twine, Shimmery White Embossing Paste, Woven Threads Sequin Assortment

The steps I took here were to first just spritz a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper to get it nice and wet. Then just tap some of the Melon Mambo Pigments Sprinkles onto the wet paper. (*Note: a little big goes a long way here! So just open up the bottle, and tap the container over your project lightly so just a little comes out.)

And some Mango Melody sprinkles next:

Spritz the paper a little more to get the colors to blend a bit and then either set aside to dry or dry it with the Heat Tool.

Once it is dry, use a Decorative Mask to add some Embossing Paste to the paper:

Lift up the mask and then let the paste dry:

Seriously there are so many options and I just love how gorgeous it looks! And those Pigment Sprinkles are SO. MUCH. FUN!!!! I'm in love! 😍😍😍

I plan on making more of these in more color combos because I loved making them a lot.

Shimmery Artisan Design Team Blog Hop...

Who is ready for another Artisan Design Team Blog Hop?!?! 🙋 I know I AM!!!! First of all...I have to ask...have you noticed the SHIMMER DETAILED LASER-CUT SPECIALTY PAPER (item # 149611) in the Annual Catalog yet?! If the answer is no....well you are about to! Because that is what this hop is all about! Yay!!!! I LOVE this paper. One one side, it is all shimmery and more vanilla color. On the other side...it is white. So either look you need...this paper has it!!! Angela shared some amazingly fun projects on her blog, if you are coming from there. So now I want to share mine! 😀

I just cut that lattice piece out of the laser-cut sheets. Adhered it over the watercolor piece, and then added a few elements.

I love how that shimmery lattice just pops with the watercoloring behind it. And those sequins!! 😍

And how can you NOT just love this little bird mini?! This is a 3x3 card, and I just love it.
