Owl Miss You!!!...

In our church, my hubby and I teach a 9-year old child Sunday School class.  We just had our last class for the year, and we sadly aren't going to be teach them this next year.  I am going to miss them!  I wanted to give them a little "we will miss you!" gift...and this is what I came up with...

Can't beat a cute little owl, huh?!  I love the "Owl Miss You" theme.  Inside is a package of popcorn...easy and kid-pleasing.  I used some Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, and Tempting Turquoise Designer Series Paper to wrap around the popcorn.  Just adhere the paper to itself to make a sort of belly band around the popcorn.  Then they can just "pop" the popcorn out of the package without ripping the owl.  I used these punches/framelits to make the owl:

  •  Deco Labels Framelits & Decorative Dots Embossing Folder--belly of owl
  • 1 3/4" (white) & 3/4" (black) Circle Punches--eyes
  • Tree Punch--beak
  • Oval Framelits--wings
For the sentiment, I just printed it off and made it into a banner.

Spiral Birthday Flowers...

Even though it's the holiday season...people are still having birthday's and other occasions that need celebrating, right?!  So I made a very non-Christmas themed small bouquet of paper flowers for a friend's birthday the other day...

Just used the Spiral Flower die and Big Shot to make these flowers.  LOVE that die!  It's so much fun and easy to use!  I added a little Basic Pearl to the center of the flower to spruce it all up a bit.

The colors I used: Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie, and Daffodil Delight.  A fun bright color combo to use for a very special birthday!

A Little Rudolph...Stampin' Up! Style...

Need a fun little Christmas tag?!  Well how about this one?!...

I saw this reindeer online and HAD to make him!  Isn't he SO CUTE?!  I love him!  He's so cute!  He's made with the Owl Builder (face) and the Tree Builder (antlers and ears).  Then a few circles for nose and feet and the Large Oval for the body.

Hope you enjoy!  I made a bunch of these for my club girl's Christmas gift.  Here are some of them all packaged up...

December Card...A Happy Scene...

I LOVE the Happy Scenes Bundle from the Holiday Catalog.  It's SOOOOO much fun!  We used that at my club group this month for our card...

Here are some shots of the details...

Gotta love some bling for Christmas!  :-)

LOVE these wooden snowflakes!  They are so fantastic!

Want to see where I got the idea for this card?  My friend, Candice, made this fabulous card.  I fell in love with it and asked her if I could make it for club.  Here is her card...

Look at the details on that tree that she added!  So clever!

December Club Project...Spreading a Little Joy...

It's time to share our monthly club project that we made this month...

How fun, right?!  We framed some Designer Series Paper and cardstock then added a fun poinsettia that we made with the Festive Flower Builder Punch.  Love making home decor with my stamping supplies!

Here are a few close-up's...

Look how the flower pop's...love this flower!  And it's pretty quick and easy with the Festive Flower Builder Punch.

Hope you enjoy this project!  Thanks so much for visiting!  Let me know if you have any questions.  designwithink@gmail.com.

O! Christmas Tags, O! Christmas Tags!!

I was asked to provide some tags for an event for the women at my church to make.  Why, yes please!  Sign me up!  :-)  So here are the tags I made for them to make.  Wanted to keep them simple, quick, and easy, and also show them other quick and easy ways they could use their tags.  Want to see them too?!

Here are the tags they made (I used some retired products on these, but you can easily switch out lots of different punches/stamps and make these tags yourself)...

And a few different ways you can use them...

I first made them into cards.  I didn't want to add anything to them, except the actual card.  So I just embossed a background and put it on the card front for each of the tags...

Then I made quick treat bags...

For easy present wrapping, just add them to some gift bags...

So nothing life changing in this post, but hope it encourages you to think beyond tags just going on a wrapped present.  Tags can be so much more! :-) It is so easy to add a little handmade "love" to your presents!  Let me know if you have any questions on anything! Hope you enjoy! designwithink@gmail.com

Merry Christmas! With a Pocket!

I made some Christmas cards for my husband's company this year.  But we needed a pocket on the inside for them to include some tickets for an event.  AND it had to be easily mailable.  Now, I love texture, dimension, etc. on my projects.  So the mailing thing is hard for me.  But...it has to be done, right?!  :-)

Still tried to get in as much texture as I could...while keeping it relatively flat...

A little close up of the details...

And here is the pocket inside...

This would also work great for gift cards, etc.  It's a 3x6 card that I added a 1.5" piece of Designer Paper on the inside, and just adhered it down on the 3 sides.  Easy, peasy!  Hope you enjoy!  Thanks so much for visiting!!!  Let me know if you have any questions: designwithink@gmail.com

Bouquet of Yummy!

Had a special occasion to go to for a special 10-year old.  Bouquet of flowers are beautiful and fun, but for a 10-year old...I think we found something more fun and useful...

That's right...a fun candy bouquet!  Here is a close-up...

This is just a whole bunch of candy bars glued on to wooden skewers.  Then arranged into a bouquet, tied together, and then wrapped up with some cello and tissue!  BUT....it needed a little stampin' fun in this bouquet...OF COURSE!...to really make it pop.  :-)  This was also used as our card...I just added a note on the back.  This can be a little keepsake for her so she always remembers how awesome she is!!!  Here is a pic of just the stamped piece...

COLORS USED:  Elegant Eggplant, Wisteria Wonder, Melon Mambo, Old Olive, and Bermuda Bay

And a close-up pic...

So need a fun gift for someone special?!  Try this!  It really is so fun and quick and hopefully will leave a lasting impression!
