Cheep Talk Note Cards...

Yesterday I had lunch with two fabulous friends. Kristine had just had her monthly club, and she let me make her club projects! It was a lot of fun, and so cute! We made a card folder, with two note cards to go inside. I have used these folders for cards, but never made just note cards (standard size card that just doesn't open). Just FYI...the instructions for the card folder can be found HERE. Here are the pics...
Here's the note holder.
When you open it up (it's velcroed closed as you can see).

Note Card #1 (Again...this is it...it doesn't open. You just write the note on the white part. Great to mail since there is no bulk! :) )

Note Card #2 I love these colors and this paper, Good Morning Sunshine. LOVE IT!!!
FYI...I really liked making these again, so I made another one today that I will share tomorrow. Stay tuned. Meanwhile...here is a link to another one I've made like this, except with full cards, if you care to see. Thanks for visiting!!!

Some Decor for you...

For those of you that have been to my house, you are going to be so proud of me! :) See....I am going to show you the Manhattan Flowers Decor Elements I put up in my house. I LOVED these flowers the moment I saw them, so I had to put them in my house. :) Well....I put them around this frame I hung up FOREVER ago! Seriously....over a year. The funny thing....I JUST BARELY changed out the photos in it! It has had the original "photos" that came in the frame until now. It was kinda funny. I FINALLY put my family pictures in it, so I can finally show you! :)

When you walk in to my front door, immediately to the right is the living room. Well just past that doorway is a wall leading in to my family room. That is where this frame is hung. I have more plans for Decor Elements that I just have to hang. I will show you when I get them all up. :) Thanks for visiting!

Pillow Play Time...

Are people still out there? Sorry I haven't been posting much. Life has been going on. :) And today is my daughter's birthday actually...so this is going to be quick. We also have family in town and have been having lots of fun playing with them. Thanks to my sister-in-law, I have something to post. Last night she wanted to play a bit in my stampin' room. So we went down and one of the things she wanted to see was making a pillow box. I showed her how to do one and this is how it turned out...
It went together so quick...which is fabulous! Here is a close-up...
Gotta LOVE those corduroy buttons! And can I say how much I LOVE Designer Series Paper?! Remember...it's "Buy Three, Get One FREE!!!!" still! A few more days left so take advantage!!! Thanks for stopping by and visiting!

Birdie Fun...

WOW! It's been awhile! This week has flown by. I thought it had only been a few days since I posted...not almost a whole WEEK!!!! What can I say? It was my anniversary this week, we're having a family BBQ for my daughter's birthday this weekend, and just lots going on! :) BUT...I do have something fun for you today! This is a 2-4-6-8 box. They are super easy to make and so much fun. You can make them as tall or as short as you want. For this one I used a 8.5x8.5 square piece of card stock. I scored one side at 2, 4, 6, and 8. (Hence the name of the box! :) ) Then turn your cardstock and score other side at 2. Cut up to that score line to make the flaps to fold the box together and cut out the smallest piece to make the flap. Then just adhere together. If you have any questions...let me know! On to the box...

I LOVE this color combo, paper, stamp set, EVERYTHING. :) I make the box out of Chocolate Chip card stock and then adhered the Designer Paper (ON SALE THIS MONTH! Buy 3, get one FREE!!) on the panels.

Here is a side view. Once I had the box made and the Designer Series Paper adhered on all the sides, I just pinched the top together. Then I punched two holes through it all with my Crop-A-Dile and tied my ribbon. Easy, peasy.

Now...for the bird I wanted him a bit more sturdy. So I actually stamped him on the backing of the white card board piece that comes with the Designer Series Paper. (Don't want to waste, right?! :) ) I was going to stamp him on Whisper White card stock first, then cut him out and adhere him on the card board. BUT...it was 1am when I was doing this and I was getting tired. :) So I skipped that step. More info than you cared to know, I'm sure. :)
Then one last piece of info. The "good" in the "good friend" sentiment, I colored with VersaMarker. Then I embossed with clear emboss powder. So it pops a lot more in real life.
Hope you enjoy! Thanks for visiting! :)

More Big Shot Fun...

Just wanted to share a few more projects with you from the meeting that were done with the Big Shot... These are all done with the Matchbox Die. I LOVE this thing! Such a fun box for so many things! I love the top Tic Tac holder. I LOVE that Designer Label frame. We saw something like this and I forgot about it! These are all done by my dear friend, Deborah Larsen. SO CUTE! Look at that little nail polish! LOVE IT! :)

How cute is this gift bag? :) I love it...and then with that big card. TOO cute! I am always amazed at people's creativity. Now...I'm not sure who's project this is, but I do love it! :)
Hope you enjoy! Thanks for visiting!

Big Shot Fun..

Sorry I've been so quite this week. It's been a crazy one. I wanted to share a project I saw at the training meeting I went to a few weeks ago. We all got to bring projects we made with the Big Shot to share and enter into a challenge. I thought this one was so cute, but I don't know who made it so I can't give credit. I'm sorry! Tell me if you know who's it is and I'll give proper credit. :) On to the project... LOVE IT! Love the colors and everything. It's so cute! The side...

How fun would it be to put a little treat inside. A cookie like the one they have in the catalog or anything fun! :) Hope you enjoy! Thanks for visiting!

May Club...

Just wanted to share our club projects for the month! This has been a crazy week! I may have not posted much, but I have done a TON of stamping! I had to finish up all the samples I had to make for convention boards. Ok...I had to start and finish pretty much. :) But they are all done and almost packaged up and ready to be shipped out! I will share those later because I can't share those now. But I'll have a lot to share with you when I can! :) Hehe. On to this month's projects...

Since it's National Scrapbooking Month I thought I better do something scrapbook-y! :) So we did this 6x6 page...

For those that don't scrapbook...I wanted to make it something for them as well. So they had the option of turning that scrapbook page in to a card...
And then using the same stamp set and paper (Walk in the Park from the Mini catalog...ON SALE this month! Buy THREE get one FREE!!!!) we decorated this bag...
I have to admit....I really love this! I love making bags and stamping coordinating tissue paper! YES! You can stamp on tissue paper. :) Here is a close up of the tag and stamped tissue...
It was a lot of fun! Thanks gals for coming! :) And thank you for visiting!!!

Pretties Fun...

Sorry I've been slacking on the blogging. What can I say? It's been hard trying to play "catch-up" after our vacation. But I wanted to share this card. I made this card originally for the Color Inspiration Challenge I did awhile ago. But then I wanted to change it a bit, but still keep the same basic layout. You can see the one I submitted HERE. On to this card...
This flower is from the Pretties Kit. I LOVE these flowers. There are so many different things you can do with them. Below you can see that I just stamped directly on to the flower with my Polka Dot Background stamp...

And that YUMMY Corduroy Brad in the center! FABULOUS! :) Then here is a tin I altered with one of these same flowers...

I just sticky striped some ribbon around it, then made the flower accent to put on front. I colored this flower in with a Aqua Painter and some ink refill. This was really fun to do. Then I just made my center for the flower (a circle designer brad here) and all done. Hope you enjoy! Thanks for visiting!

Sparkly Card...

This was another card that we made at the last demo training. Too bad it doesn't show in the photo...it is SO sparkly in real life because it's made on Shimmery White card stock. The flowers are embossed with the Manhattan Texturz die. I LOVE this die. Then we just rubbed some Pale Plum ink over it to make it pop. It's really pretty in real life. On to the card...

Here is a close up so you can maybe see the shimmery. It's so pretty!
Thanks for visiting! Let me know if you have any questions! And...I will be traveling home from Jamaica when this posts, so be sad for me. :) I'm sure we won't want to leave! :)

Flower Box...

The last post I used the same stamp set and then added the same stitching with my black marker. What can I say? I kinda liked it, so I made a box with the biggest flower. This is the handy-dandy Box #2 die for the Big Shot that I LOVE AND LOVE AND LOVE!!! I use it all the time. Anyway...I embossed the "good friend" saying with Iridesecnt Ice embossing powder. Kinda smeared it a bit, so just ignore that. :) It's a bit sparkly, so that's fun. :) Then I colored in the word "good" with my VersaMarker...to give it just a tone on tone.

The inside of the flower is one of the big gromets in the Mini Catalog. Then I put a big Kiwi Kiss corduroy brad in the middle. SO much fun and it looks really cool in real life. Here is a more up-close picture of a bit of the details.
OH...I used textured card stock. I LOVE this stuff! (Oh hey! I just remembered this stuff is on sale this month! I talked about this in my last post but buy any 3 packs of this card stock, Designer Series Paper, or Speciality Designer Series Paper and get one free of any of those 3 things! Mix and match or whatever! SUPER FUN! :) )
Hope you enjoy! Thanks for visiting!

It's Jamaica time!!!! PLUS SOME DEALS!!!!

So what does that subject have to do with this card? Well....I am posting this FROM JAMAICA! We are on a family vacation here and just wanted to say hello! This is a card that I made before I left that I meant to post much earlier. Let's just say on the islands...people don't really use Internet much and we have had a bit of a problem being able to get on-line. :) That's ok with me though...the sun and beach have been calling my name each morning. :) A bit too much, maybe! :) We are all a bit sun kissed right now so we've had a more "shaded" day today. Anyway: on to the card....
I made this using my Big Shot. It's the biggest scallop die...I just made a card, and put the fold just under the top scallops. That way the card will actually open. Then I used the Clear circle die for the Designer Series Paper. Now here is SOMETHING SUPER FUN! DESIGNER SERIES PAPER IS ON SALE THIS MONTH!!!! YEAH!!!! If you buy 3 packages of either Designer Series Paper or Textured Card Stock packs, you can pick ONE FREE! Mix and match!!!! Click HERE for the flyer. There are other specials going on as well...I will post those at the end of this post. Here is a close up of how it opens....and the dimension of the card. I used those yummy corduroy buttons! :)
Here are the other specials for the month of May:

1. Buy the NEW JUMBO ALPHABET for 20% off!! Click HERE to see the whole alphabet. Click HERE to see flyer.
2. Become a demonstrator for just $75.00 with a limited-time scrapbooking Starter Kit!!! Click HERE to see flyer.
