It's Birthday Favor Time...Part 2!

I shared a birthday treat in my last post HERE.  Well today I am sharing the favor we passed out as a thank you to all her friends that came to her birthday party.  We had it at a fun gymnastics place called "Lil' Flippers".  So I went with the theme for the favor.  I'm getting sick of the "knick-knack" things for favors.  I wanted to give something useful and fun.  So here is what I did...

FLIP FLOPS!  The tag says "Thank You for making my birthday "flipping" fantastic.  Who doesn't love a new pair of flip flops?!  Here they are in their bucket...

And a close-up of the tag...

Once again, My Digital Studio (MDS) to the rescue!  Like I said before...it is going away in just a few days!  So make sure you have all the downloads you need!  (You can use these with other programs!)  It is an amazing program and I am SO SAD it is retiring!!!!

It's Birthday Favor Time...

My daughter just celebrated her 9th birthday!  Thought I would share the treat we made for her class with you!  It was SUPER quick, and nothing special.  But it made my daughter feel special...and that is what is important!

I just made a tag and tied it on this fun and bright candy!  Here is a close-up of the tag...

I had to make 30 of these, so I had to have it quick.  My Digital Studio (MDS) to the rescue!  However...MDS is leaving us at the end of this month.  So if you need anything (you can use all the amazing downloads with other programs!), just let me know!  You could easily make this with regular cardstock and stamps as well.  So thought it would be fun to share!

Glimmer Balloon Birthday...

Want to see another fun and easy way to add some glimmer to your projects?!  This is all you need to do this technique...
A stamped piece of cardstock, a VersaMark pad, Iridescent Ice embossing powder, and a Heat Tool.  That is it!  You also could do this technique with a piece of Designer Series Paper (instead of the cardstock) and a make any design glimmery!

First step is to take your cardstock and just pounce the VersaMark all over the piece.  You want to cover it completely...

Then add Iridescent Ice embossing powder all over the image...

Then just heat set with your Heat Tool until it's glimmery!

How BEAUTIFUL is that??!  Then you just get to make a fun project with it!!!

How fun, huh?!  I hope you enjoyed this little technique!  Let me know if you have any questions!  designwithink@gmail.com  Thanks so much for visiting!!!

May Club Card...

Tonight was my club night! Yay!  Here is a quick post to show you the card we made this month.  (We always make a card and a 3D item.  I will share the 3D item soon so stay tuned!  If you have an interest in joining my monthly club...just shoot me an email.  Would be happy to tell you all about it!)

This card uses one of my most FAVORITE things that are retiring.  (Boooo hooooo!)  Well...if you count Coastal Cabana cardstock...I guess this card uses 2 of my most favorite things.  I am SERIOUSLY sad that the Starburst framelits are retiring.  I seriously use these all the time.  And love the coordinating stamp set (Starburst Sayings) also.  So I wanted to use these this month.  I actually took the color combo from the decor piece that I shared the other day (for the most part anyway):  Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush, and Hello Honey (instead of Daffodil Delight).  Then added some Blackberry Bliss for a little pop.

I showed my club members the fun glitter technique I shared the other day HERE.  Love this glitter technique.  So easy and so much fun!  Here is a close-up...

It shimmers so beautifully in real life!  Here is a close-up of the focal point...

Hope you enjoyed this card!  Thanks so much for visiting!  Let me know if you have any questions!

Flowers Galore In Home Decor...

We have lived in our house almost 8 years.  After all that time...I am so antsy to change things in my house.  Paint colors, decor, etc.   (I am sure I am not the only one that gets this way after this amount of time, right?!)  As I am finalizing the plan of what I will be doing, I am starting to work on a few accessories and things.  Today I am sharing one such accessory I made the other day.  I am not a big "trinket-y" type person.  I don't like a lot of clutter around.  I do have a little shelf thing by my front door so I can decorate for holidays and such.  I needed something for this shelf for the "everyday" decor.  I can't always find what I am looking for in stores,  I have a ton of crafting supplies, so why not make my own?!  So here is what I made...

The colors are Coastal Cabana (I LOVE LOVE LOVE this color and hope Stampin' Up! brings it back some day.  I have stocked up on cardstock and such for the meantime.  ;-) ), Strawberry Slush (same story as Coastal Cabana), and Daffodil Delight.  I like bright and cheery colors, and love fun pops of color in my decor.

Here is a bit of a close-up of this piece...

I just punched out a lot of different flowers with my punches and pinned them on styrofoam balls.  These are about 2 1/2" diameter.  Easy and quick way to get some fun decor for your house!

Here is the pic on it's shelf...

And the whole shelf...

I will be spray painting this shelf a bright color.  So maybe I will share some updates when it's all finished.

Hope you enjoyed this post!  Thanks for visiting! If you have any questions...let me know! designwithink@gmail.com

Sunshine Treat...

So I wasn't going to even post this little treat I did because it's the exact same as THIS ONE that I already posted!  But...why not show you a different version of it, right?!  It's all about versatility, right?!  My cute daughter was spotlighted in her preschool class a little bit ago.  Wanted to have a little treat for all her class buddies!  So here is what I did...

We call my daughter "Our Little Sunshine" so I thought that would be a fun theme.  I used the stamp set, "Ray Of Sunshine."  This set, to me, doesn't look the cutest in the catalog.  But I have had a ton of fun with this one!  Here is a pic of the stamp set:

Look at the fun banner, a bit circle, love the sayings!  Anyway...here is a shot of the group of little treats...

So much fun!  And quick to put together!  Bonus!!!

Easy Breezy Glitter Strips...

I shared a glitter post HERE, and I have another one to share today!  I LOVE me some bling!

This technique is so quick and easy! First up...the project we are making:

Love those glitter strips!!!  Here are the supplies you need...

I embossed my card front cardstock, but you certainly don't have to.  All you do is add strips of Sticky Strip to the card front like this...

Then just peel off the red backing, and dump Dazzling Diamonds over the Sticky Strip strips.  Push the glitter into the Sticky Strip and BAM!  Glitter strips!  (And it's not sticky at all!)

Aren't they so pretty?!  LOVE THEM!  Here is the card again...

So easy and fun!  Hope you give this technique a try!  Thanks for visiting!  Let me know if you have any more questions! designwithink@gmail.com
