San Antonio Regionals Make and Takes...

I guess it's about time that I show you the cards that we made at the San Antonio Regional event that I went to in January! :) These are the cards that made me fall in love with the kite set in the Mini, "Send Me Soaring." I really love the name of the set also! :) Here is the first card...

I KNOW! There isn't a kite on here! What in the world?! :) Well...the polka dot kite was stamped in Calypso Coral four times and then you just punch out a heart from each of the kites to get the center for the flower. Then the stem was done a similar way. Stamp the kite in Lucky Limeade ink and then trim out the leaf shape. So versatile and cute!! Here is a close up of the flower...And then a side view so you can see the dimension..

This next card we made is a movable card. It's made using the set in the traditional way it was made for...to stamp kites! Here it is...Now what's the movable part you may ask?! Well....look on the middle right side of the card. See that circle poking out?! If you just turn that...the kite magically changes color! :) There are three different colored kites stamped and you can see each one as you turn it. And I LOVED this technique. Check out the dots below...

How did we get those so straight?! Well...you use the clear template plate thing that comes in the Mat Pack!!!! It has holes for you to line up on your projects so that you can poke holes evenly for brads or whatever. Well...just use it and your marker to make dots on your projects! LOVE this and will definitely use this in the future! :) Here are the other kites as you turn your circle...I had SO much fun making these projects! They both use Pool Party, Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral colors. Then the first card also uses Early Espresso and the last one uses Basic Gray. Hope you enjoy! Thanks for visiting!!!!!!
