Meant To Be...TGIF 249:

Who is ready for another challenge today?!  I posted about a SHAKE IT Challenge earlier!  Now I have a themed challenge for you with a fun TGIF Challenge!  Ready to get started?!

Let's see if you can guess what the theme would be by seeing my card:

Any guesses?!  Why yes!  It is a Valentine's Day Challenge! Yay!  Gotta love that!  What could be better than pink and hearts?!  Hee. 

I kept this card pretty simple today.  And truth be told...I just NOW realized my card looks like the image in the challenge square!  Hahaha.  Funny how that worked out.  Guess this layout stuck in my brain when I went to created.  😂

I think my fave part about this card are the stripes...I just drew them on with a ruler and the Light Rococo Rose Blends Marker.  Then I also used a blend to color some ribbon so I could have some Coastal Cabana ribbon.  I used the Light Bermuda Bay Blends Marker to do that. 

Then I just added this layered heart focal point and I was pretty much done.  I actually was going to add more, but ended up just liking the simplicity of this.  I wanted those stripes to pop.  😁  (Small tip on the small heart:  I stamped it onto Shimmery White cardstock.  Then I blended the ink with an Aqua Painter to make more subtle stripes on the heart.)

It's Definitely a Fancy Friday!

Make anything that SHAKES!  I made this multi-windowed Shaker card, and it is FUN to shake!  Also...can we talk about these flowers?!  😀  I have been LOVING this little bloom and the best part about it...you can earn BOTH the stamp set AND the punch for FREE!  Yes, that's right!  They are BOTH part of Stampin' Up!'s Sale-A-Bration that is going on RIGHT NOW!  Just look how cute they are!

I love this greeting that comes with this stamp set too!  Last convention that Stampin' Up! had, we talked about celebrating the small things in our lives, along with the big things.  Being more positive and recognizing the good we do is SO important!  I am sure I am not alone in recognizing what I do NOT do way more than recognizing what I am doing.  SOOOO...I am trying to work on that and celebrating/recognizing the GOOD.  So this sentiment helps me remember that.  I love it!  😍

Love You Ombre...

The Heartfelt Bundle in Stampin' Up!'s Mini Catalog is SO. MUCH. FUN!  For Valentine's Day or ANY love day!  I especially love this Ombre heart:

I just stamped the dotted heart onto Whisper White cardstock, sponged Coastal Cabana ink onto it in layers, making the ombre color. 

Also...notice that Gold Heart Doily?!  I took one of the Heart Doilies in the Mini Catalog, inked it up with VersaMark ink, then added Gold Stampin' Embossing Powder and heat set it.  Now you have a fun glossy heart!

Toucan Birthday Bonanza!

I can't get enough of that toucan in the Birthday Bonanza Suite!  Isn't he just the cutest?!

Also...can we talk about that little pompom on his hat?!  How stinking cute is that?! (It is from the Assorted Pompoms in the Mini Catalog.)  I love it! 

I also love this little touch of color and texture with this bit of ribbon.  That twine is 😍😍😍!  And you can get it FREE during Sale-A-Bration!!! 

The background was done by embossing the sentiment with White Stampin' Emboss Powder onto Whisper White cardstock.  Then I just sponged some Coastal Cabana ink over the embossing.

Another side note...I LOVE that black and white striped paper from the Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper! Again...another FREE item from Sale-A-Bration!  💖

Seriously The Best Bloom Gift Bag...

These were honestly SO quick and easy!  The Tags & More Accessories Kit had ALMOST everything I needed!  I just added on the Copper Dotted Treat Bags (which coordinate FABULOUSLY with this kit!), some cardstock scraps, Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots (for the center of the flowers), and the Sale-A-Bration twine pack!  (Again--FREE! Yay!!!).  The twine may look a bit different, but I just pulled out the little gold thread really easily to have just yellow twine!  It is GORGEOUS! 

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Seriously The Best Stamp Set and it has already gotten LOTS of use in my stamp room.  It just is so dynamic!  I embossed it here with Copper Embossing Powder--so it coordinates perfectly and gives them a touch of elegance.  😍

I made a bunch of bags, just mixing and matching the colors of tags that come with the kit. 

I think they all look fabulous!  (And even the ones not pictured look fabulous also!  Hee.)

Heartfelt Valentine...

Valentine's Day is coming!  I have to say, I really love this holiday.  Maybe it's because ALL. THINGS. PINK are 100% accepted with this holiday.  (Hee.)  Or maybe I just really LOVE love.  But I just really love this holiday!  So about time to make some Valentine's...right?!  😀

This one was pretty quick and easy to make.  I LOVE the Heart Doilies in the Mini Catalog.  They are SOOOOO cute and so much fun to use!  Then layered with the punched heart from the Heartfelt Stamp Set and the Heart Punch Pack...well yes please!  😀

Here is a fun little tip.  See these stamped flowers?!

See how they are speckled  a bit?!  Well...while they were still a bit wet (so stamp quickly!) I dumped some Gold Embossing Powder on them, gave a good tap off, and heat set.  So that way they aren't covered...just speckled.  And...depending on how much dried...you get a varying level of speckle.  So I kinda love it.  (I also wanted some of the splatter that landed on the paper...so I did NOT use an Embossing Buddy like I normally would.)

Brian's Bonanza Birthday Box...

We had a big special birthday at our house this week!  My husband celebrated the big 4-0!!!

What does this have to do with stamping?!  (Because I know that is why you are here, right?!  😀)   Well...one of his presents, I needed something to wrap it in.  And I didn't have the right box.  So I thought...who needs to buy one!  I will make one quick with cardstock!  So that's just what I did!

Accessories: 3/16" Braided Linen Trim

I just measured what I was wrapping, added an inch on all sides, scored it at an inch on all sides, cut on score lines to make some flaps and adhered it together!  Then repeated for the bottom of the box!  It really was so quick and easy!  Took WAY less time to even go to the store to grab one.  Probably even took less time than standing there at the store trying to decide what to get. 😂  And it is SO MUCH MORE FUN to give this package instead of a store bought one, right?!  I call that a win-win-win!!!

I love this Birthday Bonanza Suite also.  It is so cute and fun!  And I didn't even use the stamps for this project!  Crazy!  This was just having fun with the paper and dies to make the tag! Small note:  that "birthday" greeting is stamped on Whisper White cardstock and then sponged with Grapefruit Grove ink to get that ombre look.  I did that because solid cardstock just wasn't working for me.  😁

I love this little easel calendar.  We used a few Sale-A-Bration items on it also...the gold Designer Series Paper (from the Golden Honey Designer Series Paper) and the stamp!  I thought that sentiment was PERFECT for a calendar! 

(Don't you agree?!  😀)

I love the strips in the background (2 are Designer Series Paper, 1 is a foil sheet, 1 is stamped, and 1 is embossed) and how they all layer together!
