Stampin' Up! Paper Pumpkin Alternate Fun!

Did you get your March Paper Pumpkin Kit?! I hope so because it is a gorgeous one called Memorable Meadows.  And if you haven't, and live in the United States, just send me a message and I can help you get subscribed! 💗  March is  always a FUN month to get because it is Paper Pumpkin anniversary month ... so Stampin' Up! includes a free gift!  This year it was a ☆ BONUS ☆ stamp set!  And it is gorgeous ... which matches the kit perfectly! 😀

Today I have two fun alternatives for you!  These cards are using the kit and a few extra products.  The Paper Pumpkin Kit coordinates with a suite of products that are available through Stampin' Up! - called Meandering Meadows - so I used some of that. Then I also used the coordinating Paper Pumpkin dies that you can get as a Paper Pumpkin subscriber - called The Love of Spring Dies!

First up ... a fun shaker card!

Colors Basic White, Fresh Freesia, Balmy Blue
Inks: Fresh Freesia, Balmy Blue, Night of Navy
Cardstock/Papers: Basic White, Memorable Meadows Paper Pumpkin Kit
Stamps: Memorable Meadows Stamp Set
Tools:  Garden Meadows Dies, Exposed Brick Embossing Folder, Blending Brush
Accessories: Linen Thread, Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies & Birds, Loose Silver Sequins, Loose Daisy Embellishments, Pecan Pie 3/8" Center Stripe Ribbon, Memorable Meadows Paper Pumpkin Kit Pieces

I love a shaker card & sometimes forget how easy & how much fun they are to make.  So I took a few photos of the process to show you how I made this one!

1.  Decorate the card front however you want it.  I do this step first, because I want to see if there will be areas I should "block out" when I do the Foam Adhesive Strips.  This helps whatever shaker filling you add not get "lost" behind the elements you add to the card front.  So design your card front first.

My steps for the design: die-cut the window from Basic White cardstock, emboss it, and then use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere a piece of Window Sheet to the back of the card front.  Then used a Blending Brush to add a little ink to the arch piece & white strip from the Paper Pumpkin Kit.  Stamp the white strip with the sentiment, then layer it all together, with a strip of ribbon, on the card front.

2. Add foam adhesive strips.  Here ... you can see what areas I blocked out.  I made the foam adhesive "window" to just be the part you will see.  ***TIP: I take my Embossing Buddy and wipe it all over the inside of the foam adhesive window ... including the sides of the Foam Adhesive Strip.  DO THIS BEFORE removing the backing of the strips.  This helps the shaker filling you add not get stuck with static anywhere.

3.  Add your shaker filling!  For this card, I used Loose Silver Sequins & a few Loose Daisy Embellishments.  I love these two together!

4. (Sorry I forgot to take a photo of this!)  Removed the backing of the Foam Adhesive Strips and place the Memorable Meadows card piece (I just cut one of the cards down to size to use as the background to the shaker) on top of the shaker.  Obviously, you don't want to lift or move the shaker part until you have this base adhered, or the filling will all fall out.  Then rub over the foam adhesive well, making sure it sticks!

That is it!  Then just add to the card base, add a few of the Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies and VOILA!  A fun shaker!

On to the next card I get to share!  I love all the details and texture on this card!

Colors:  Fresh Freesia, Lemon Lime Twist, Gorgeous Grape
Inks: Fresh Freesia, Lemon Lime Twist, Night of Navy
Cardstock/Papers: Fresh Freesia, Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, Gold Foil Sheets, Vellum, Memorable Meadows Paper Pumpkin Kit
Stamps: Memorable Meadows Stamp Sets
Tools:  The Love of Spring Dies, Fern Embossing Folder, Heat Tool
Accessories: Linen Thread, Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels, Memorable Meadows Paper Pumpkin Kit Pieces

This is using the ☆ BONUS ☆ free stamp set! I LOVE that big floral image!  I embossed it with Gold Embossing Powder first, then lightly watercolored it.  Cut it out, and added some pieces of the kit to the back of it.  Used the perfect The Love of Spring Dies to cut out some vellum piece to go behind the flower and the purple vellum from the kit.  I used a strip of one of the cards from the Paper Pumpkin Kit on the side of the card and I LOVE the detail that adds.  I think this card is just full of pretty & texture!

What do you think?!  Do you have a favorite?!  I hope you like these cards!  They were also showcased on Stampin' Up!'s Paper Pumpkin Facebook page!  There are other alternatives as well!  I highly recommend checking that out!

Here is a photo of the kit, what the kit makes, BOTH stamp sets and the add-on dies!

Here is a pic of the coordinating suite!

Back with A Latte Love! TGIF Challenge #465!

Well I have a fun challenge for you this week!  And Stampin' Up! even recently released the perfect suite for this challenge ... available as an Online Exclusive! (Shop HERE to see it!)  So first the card that I made for it, and then the challenge!

Colors Pecan Pie, Lost Lagoon, Basic White
Inks: Lost Lagoon, VersaMark
Cardstock/Papers: Pecan Pie, Lost Lagoon, Basic White, Vellum, A Little Latte Designer Series Paper, Adhesive Sheets
Stamps: Latte Love
Tools:  Latte Love Dies, Exposed Brick Embossing Folder, Heat Tool, Water Painter
Accessories: Metallics Embossing Powder, Natural 3/8" Polka Dot Trim, Adhesive-Backed Swirl Dots, Baker's Twine Three Color Pack

Now see how perfectly it goes with this challenge!

See?!  All about coffee!  Hee.  So I used the Latte Love Bundle, a Stampin' Up Online Exclusive, and it was so much fun!  Bummer ... the sentiment doesn't photograph super well. It is actually gold embossed.  You can see it better here:

I also took a piece of the patterned paper from the A Little Latte Designer Series Paper, used a Blending Brush to add some Lost Lagoon ink, and they layered a piece of vellum over the paper! Love the subtle look this gives.

Added the focal points on top of the vellum (***TIP!  Use Adhesive Sheets before die-cutting to easily adhere!!) and voila!

This was a fun card to make!  I hope you enjoy!  Follow along with the rest of the TGIF Challenges Design Team & share what you make over on the TGIF Challenge Blog

Thank you for visiting!  Please let me know if you have any questions!  Would love to help you with all of your paper crafting needs!

A Latte Love!!! for this March Artisan Hop!

📣 It's here!  It's here! 📣 I am so excited to share my projects made with the ONLINE EXCLUSIVE "A Latte Love" Suite from Stampin' Up!

Also...BONUS!...this is my Artisan Design Team project this month, so you also get to "hop" along & see the others on my team and the projects they made!

☆ Did you know?! ☆ that there are 20 of us on the Artisan Design Team.  And each week 5 of us share projects made with a specific set of items.  So you get to see so much variety & fun inspiration EACH week!

Once again ... this week we are using the A Latte Love Suite! And let me just say ... this was such a fun suite to use!

The colors in this suite are: Calypso Coral, Early Espresso, Lemon Lolly, Lost Lagoon, Pecan Pie, Petal Pink.  I decided to focus on Calypso Coral, Lemon Lolly, & Petal Pink.  With a few other accents from the other mixed in, of course.

Now let me give you some details on each of the cards!  Want to see them more up close?!  Cause here we go! 💕

Colors Calypso Coral, Lemon Lolly, Petal Pink, Early Espresso
Inks: Calypso Coral, Lemon Lolly, Petal Pink, Early Espresso, VersaMark
Cardstock/Papers: Thick Basic White, Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, Gold Foil Sheets
Stamps: Latte Love
Tools:  Latte Love Dies, Heat Tool, Water Painter
Accessories: Metallics Embossing Powder, Natural 3/8" Polka Dot Trim, Adhesive-Backed Swirl Dots

This first one has a fun watercolor wash background.  I also splattered the background & stamped the coffee "ring" stamp over the watercolor to add some fun detail & texture.  Then I stamped & embossed two coffee cups with gold embossing and watercolored them - one in Calypso Coral & the other in Petal Pink. 😍

One last fun detail on this card is the ribbon.  I used the Natural 3/8" Polka Dot Trim, but instead of just tying a bow with it as is, I separated the threads and just used a few of them, tied a bow, and adhered it behind the greeting.  Add some Gold Foil Sheet detail, some Adhesive-Backed Swirl Dots,

I love how this card turned out!

☆ Next up ☆ ... this one focuses on the FABULOUS Designer Series Paper that is in this suite.  And I LOVE the Lemon Lolly background to the card.  I embossed a layer with the Exposed Brick Embossing Folder, to kinda keep with a "coffee shop" theme.  Then did a banner with the Designer Series Paper to ground the fabulously fun coffee cups!  Now ... the best part ... I just cut these cups out from the Designer Series Paper! So they were so easy!  Gotta love coordination!  A die in the Latte Love Dies cuts out the cup from the Designer Series Paper! 😍

Colors Calypso Coral, Lemon Lolly, Petal Pink, Lost Lagoon, Early Espresso
Inks: VersaMark
Cardstock/Papers: Lemon Lolly, Lost Lagoon, A Little Latte Designer Series Paper, Gold Foil Sheets
Stamps: Latte Love
Tools:  Latte Love Dies, Heat Tool, Exposed Brick Embossing Folder
Accessories: Basics Embossing Powder, Natural 3/8" Polka Dot Trim, Adhesive-Backed Swirl Dots, Baker's Twine Three Color Pack

I really love the layered details on this card.  I also added some Gold Foil Sheet accents, as well as the swirl dots.

All in all - I love these projects!  And I ALSO love the projects my fellow Artisan Design Team members made!  I am SURE you want to see them!  So head to their pages to see what they made!

Fancy Rainbow With a Fancy Sketch!

All month long, the Stampin' Fancy Friday Design Team has been posting FABULOUS cards made with a FABULOUS sketch for our March Challenge!  Have you been checking them out?! I hope so!  If not ... obviously you still can!  😁 (IG: @stampinfancyfriday or FB: Stampin' Fancy Friday)  Today is my turn to share the card I made!

Spoiler alert: I am obsessed!  Haha.  And hope you enjoy it also!

Colors Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist, Coastal Cabana, Fresh Freesia, Basic White, Basic Black
Inks: Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist, Coastal Cabana, Fresh Freesia, VersaMark
Cardstock/Papers: Basic White, Basic Black, Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, Gold Foil Sheets
Stamps: Bright Skies
Tools:  Bright Skies Dies, Perennial Postage Dies, Basics Embossing Folder, Heat Tool, Water Painter
Accessories: Basics Embossing Powder, Baker's Twine Essentials Pack, Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots, Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels

What do you think?!  Are you as obsessed as I am?!  Haha.  Here is the general sketch to use:

But let the sketch take you wherever you want to go!  That is the beauty of a sketch challenge.  It gets the creative juices flowing, but you really can just use it as a jumping point that takes you anywhere! I pretty much kept to the sketch myself, but LOVE seeing all the variations that I have seen with it! 😍

I used the Bright Skies Bundle & a rainbow watercolor wash to really bring this card to life.  Here are a few photos and tips to make this card:

🌈 Choose your colors & do a subtle watercolor wash on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.  ***Hint: I wanted bold tones, but subtle color.  So I choose some bright colors, but used a lot of water to dilute the color for the more subtle look.  Colors I used: Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist, Coastal Cabana, Fresh Freesia.

🌈 Use Memento Tuxedo Black & Water Painter to add some splatter to the watercolor wash AFTER the watercoloring is all dried.  ***Hint: Use a Heat Tool to quickly dry the watercoloring.

🌈 Stamp & die cut your pieces.  Layer & adhere them to the watercolor wash strip, and trim edges.  ***Hint: for more texture, I did not trim the cloud on the right side so it would hang over the watercolored panel.

🌈 Add the other pieces to the panel before adhering to the card front.  ***Hint: I used the Perennial Postage Dies to cut out one side of the die.  Then added just that piece to the left side of the panel.  Love that fun little detail! Then I tied the bow around that whole panel, with the bow on the left side.  The adhered the greeting with dimensionals!

Then you just adhere the whole panel to the card front!

So what do you think?!  Are you as obsessed as I am?!  I think I am going to make something like this to frame.  It is one of those cards that truly feels like a work of art that I could stare at forever & ever & ever.  Haha.

I hope you enjoyed & I hope you know how much I appreciate you visiting!  Please let me know if you have any questions!  I would be happy to help!  Also - if you would like this bundle (because it is FABULOUS!) or any other Stampin' Up! supplies - just let me know! (If you are in the US.)

Thank you again!

Technique Tuesday With Custom Striped Accents!

One of my assignments on Stampin' Up!'s Artisan Design Team is to do share some fun techniques.  My first one was shared at the end ...
