Cards Galore...

Have some more cards to share!  I have some new things to show you with new supplies.  However...I want to share these card layouts before I forget to!  :)  So here are a few more cards!

First card...
This was a fun color combo.  A couple shades of both green and purple...and it packs quite some "POP!"  With embossing and tearing and sponging and spritzing and glimmer...there are quite a few details on here.  Once again...all these cards that I am showing you today are really SO MUCH PRETTIER in real life!

Close up...

And on to the 2nd card...

LOVE this color combo!  Baja Breeze (retired now so feel free to substitute Pool Party), Rose Red, and Chocolate Chip.  Oh...and Very Vanilla.  FUN!

Love the embossing.  Then just sponge over the embossing to make it really POP on the card!

Third card...

This stamp set was available this year during Sale-A-Bration.  I LOVE the images in this set.  I hope you got it so you can use it and see how much fun it is!  :)

Fourth card...

I love this layout.  Such a fun layout that would work with SO many color combos and stamp sets and accessories, etc.  You will see this in the future.  :)  The flower is covered with Crystal Effects to give it a glossy look...

 And love the embossing/sponged look...

Fifth and final card...

A little coloring on the flowers and I know lots of people that would love to get this bit of "happy" in the mail!

I hope you enjoyed these cards!  Thanks so much for visiting!!!

More Card Layout Ideas...

Have a few card ideas/layouts to share with you today!  These are all simple ideas that would be easy to switch around and use whatever you have to get a similar look.  So if you like something in particular...give it a try!  Hope you enjoy!

Here is the first card...
I love the clean and simple look here...but the card still uses lots of colors.  Rich Razzleberry, Bashful Blue (now retired), Certainly Celery (now retired), and Pretty in Pink (now retired).  Love the flower in the corner and always love a fun button embellishment!  There is some spritzing on the card with marker and some sparkle.  Here is a close-up...

Hard to capture those kinds of detail in a photo...all these cards look SO much better in real life!  :)  But hope you can get a good idea from the photos!  :)

Next card up...
It's SUMMER!  And I don't know about where you are, but it is HOT!!!! here!  (And for this pregnant woman that just has a few weeks left until her due date...it feels even hotter!!!!) So who wouldn't want an ice cream card to remind them of "cooler" times?!  :)  And I added some Crystal Effects to give the ice cream and cherry a fun 3D shiny effect.  Here is a close-up to see...

Again...much cuter in person.  But still fun!  RIGHT?!  And I love the look that embossing a background piece and then just swiping my ink pad in the coordinating color across the embossing part gives.  Like I did with the Pear Pizzazz cardstock.  Too much fun!

One last card...

Happy Day to you indeed! Here's just a fun and simple card that was so quick to make.  Again...embossed the Rose Red background and swiped my Rose Red ink pad over the polka dots to make them pop.  Then used the "Oh, Hello" stamp set to do the stamping.  (Except for the greeting.  The greeting I used is retired now so just use whatever you have!)

Another close-up...

Yes...I splattered all these cards and they are all spritzed with some glimmer spray as well!  So sparkly in real life!

Hope you enjoyed these cards and can use them to help you in your stamping world!  Thanks so much for visiting!

Happy Graduation Day!!!

Every Graduate deserves to be celebrated...right?!?!? Well I wanted to share the graduation card I made for this year's graduates that we know.

I made two versions...both are basically the same except one has pink on it along with the gray and black and one has blue.  Maybe I should of kept with the school colors of where they graduated from...but most school colors aren't so attractive...right?!  :)  So I went with what was more appealing to the eye.  I am sure they see enough of their school colors during graduation time that they will remember what they are.  :)  (Maybe this is just because my high school colors were maroon and gold...or should I say puke yellow...and has traumatized me to this day.  :)  Haha.)

Anyway...here is the pink version..

I really liked the simplicity of this layout.  Yet there is a lot of detail.  I splattered and embossed and dimensionalized and punched, etc.  :)  But so simple!  And you could EASILY take this layout and do something completely different.  Even use this same stamp set, "Blue Ribbon", and make a different occasion card.  They have a "birthday" center for the ribbon, a "winner", a "best", and a "1".  So anything you need to celebrate...this set would take care of it.  OH...and the color of pink in the new In Color...Strawberry Slush!  Paired with the new gray tone...Smoky Slate...I just LOVE this combo!

Here are a few more pics...

Hopefully  you can see some of the details!

Here is the blue version.  Again used a new In Color...Coastal Cabana this time.  Trying to keep things trendy for these young-ins we know that are graduating!  :)

So same thing except no bling and it's blue.  Another pic...

Hope you enjoy this card!

Thanks so much for visiting!!!!

June Club Project...

Since I shared the card we made for club...guess it's time to show the project we made.  Now...need to say...we used the MOST AMAZING product on this card...but you won't see it in the final project.  That's because it's a new "tool" that is in the catalog.  It's the new MAGNETIC PLATFORM for the Big Shot!  OH MY GOODNESS!!!!  It's a bit pricey...$39.95...but worth EVERY penny!  I LOVE LOVE LOVE this thing.  It will NOT fit in a Cuttlebug, however...if that's what you normally use.  So you may need to upgrade to the Big Shot just for this.  :)  It made cutting with Framelits an absolute BREEZE!  I have used this so much more than I even thought!  It's a must...in my opinion.  :)  Anyway...enough of a commercial on that...here is the project we made...

These are the new boxes that are in the new catalog.  I fell in LOVE with these things the second I saw them.  They are so much fun!  And that Chevron ribbon...TOTAL YUMMINESS!!!!  I am in heaven.  It is so beautiful and soft and ties wonderfully...I can't wait to get all the colors into my stash.  :)  And I wanted this project to be something fun they could use for a Father's Day gift if they needed it...but also have it versatile for any other occasion they may need a fun box for.  We stamped on the top of the acetate sleeve with White Staz-On ink.  Then we also just tied the ribbon around the top of the sleeve so that the box can open easily without having to mess with the ribbon.

Here are a few more pictures...

That tag is from the "Chalk Talk" stamp set that we used the Magnetic Platform and Chalk Talk Framelits with.  And then all you have to do is hook the tag onto the knotted ribbon to attach.  So much fun!  And one more time...that Magnetic Platform is sooooo amazing!  :-)  Oh...and the box just slides right out of that sleeve and the box fits so many fun items!  I put two ties in one for my hubby for Father's Day.

Hope you enjoy this project!  Thanks so much for visiting!!!

June Club Card...

Just wanted to share the card we made for club this month...

I have to admit it...I love this card.  And I copied most of it. :-) I got the idea from a card I saw on Pinterest.  I LOVE how it uses ALL FIVE NEW IN COLORS!  Cause BOY do I LOVE these In Colors!!!  (Can I use enough caps?!  :) ) But let's review the five new In Colors:

  • Strawberry Slush (YUM!)
  • Coastal Cabana (Anything beach-y...count me in!!!)
  • Crisp Cantaloupe (Double YUM!)
  • Pistachio Pudding (FUN!)
  • Baked Brown Sugar (So clever)
I JUST LOVE THEM!!!  Too much fun!  Then with all of them set on a Crumb Cake background...I just love it.  Thanks for the originator of this card!

Here are a few close-up's...

Love the butterflies.  This paper is from the new In Color Designer Series Paper Stack. Love the fresh and  updated patterns!  And those new In Color embellishments...so fantastic and so much detail!
And that ribbon...double (or should I say triple since there are three layers?!  :) )...YUM!!! YUM!!!!  It has elastic so it's stretchy.  And the ruffles...too much fun!  I just really can't get enough!  Love it!

And a side note on the background.  It's done with the "Gorgeous Grunge" stamp set.  I think that may be an overlooked stamp set...but it is one I will be using a TON!  The splattered look is SO "in" right now...but can be hard to achieve if you want it some what more uniform and not sloppy looking.  (Unless you are using the retired color spritzer which I still can't believe retired!  That was FABULOUS!!!)  Well this stamp set could NOT be easier to use and creates such a fun look!

Anyway...hope you enjoy this card!  Thanks so much for visiting!!

Need Card Layout Ideas?!?!?...

In my last post I showed some different card layouts I made with card kits I have offered in the past.   Well I have been continuing to make up some of these card kits...just using the supplies I had in the kit.  It's been fun to get a whole lot of cards made!  And being creative with just a few supplies and already cut cardstock and pieces.  So my advice...take those unfinished projects in your stamp area and DO SOMETHING with them!  Even if it isn't the original project it was suppose to be!  :)

Here are some more card ideas for you.  Retired stamp sets and supplies are used on these cards...so feel free to substitute for whatever you have!

First card up for your viewing pleasure...

This really was a fun and simple layout.  Could be used with LOTS of different stamp sets.  And I personally love the small things you can do to a card that make a big difference.  Here I did sponging, some spritzing with the now retired Color Spritzer and a marker, and some Shimmer Spray.  OH...and I LOVE a background stamp!!!  These are wonderful ways to make a BIG difference on a card!

Another view...

Next card up...

I really love this color combo.  It's Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler.  Again...love the spritzing and the sponging and glimmer (in real life...for some reason I just can't get it picked up on the camera.  But it is SO sparkly in real life!!!)!  Simple layout here that you could use with a TON of different stamp sets!!!

Another view...

And here's another card...

Love the fun and spring-y color combo!  And that embossing in the background!  LOVE MY BIG SHOT!!  Embossing is another great way to add some fun detail that is EASY and QUICK!

Another view...

You can kinda see the shimmer here!  It's, again, SO sparkly in real life!!!!

Ready for another card?!?...

This card the embossing really stands out.  This is the Manhattan flower embossing folder and then I just swiped my ink pad over it to make it pop.  Used a Sale-A-Bration set from this year for the greeting.  Love that greeting!

Here are a few more views...

You can kinda see the sparkle here.

Are you ready for YET ANOTHER card??!?!?...

Oh, Hello there!  This stamp set is still current, and I LOVE IT!  Too much fun and so easy to use!  Again...splattered away with my Color Spritzer and marker.  Here is another view...

Yes...I am still going with cards. :-)  Here is another one...

This color combo was fun. And again, spritzed, sponged, shimmered.  Used a background stamp.  Without those things...I think this card would be a lot more boring.  :)

Another view...

And ONE MORE CARD... if you can handle it.  :)  ...

Here is another one with the spring-y color combo.  Would be a fun card to give at anytime for any occasion!

Another view...

You can somewhat see the shimmer here, I guess.  I wish I could get a really good pic to show  you how sparkly these cards are!  That shimmer is too much fun!!

I hope you aren't overwhelmed by all these cards!  :)  I also hope you enjoyed them and received some sort of inspiration from them!!  Thanks for visiting!!!

Let me know if you have any questions!!!

Card Kits Revisited...

I am trying to get my stamp room fully organized (since I had it remodeled 2 years ago...probably about time!!!) and to also get rid of things I don't use/need, etc.  I know...it will be a constant journey doing this.  But it is feeling good.  Anyway...one thing I found the other day were some old card kits that were already cut and prepped.  All their pieces in nice little cello bags.  They just needed to be stamped and put together. Could not just get rid of them...right?!  Had to do something with them! However...I didn't want to just make up the original card and find the specific stamp set it was designed for, etc.  So I just took the cut pieces and came up with something new.  It was quite fun.  And went fairly fast.  So I wanted to share some cards with you.  Some of these things are already retired...and some of the stamp sets are retiring and you only have until tomorrow to get.  (SO GET THEM IF YOU WANT THEM!)  But you can always use the layout and switch out for whatever you have.  It's fun...give it a try!  :)

Here are a bunch of cards for your viewing pleasure!

First up...

This card uses the Elements of Style stamp set.  And yes...this one retires tomorrow so get it while you can!  It uses Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, and Very Vanilla.  Super fun and quick card!  Here are a few more pics...

The sad thing about all these cards I am showing you is that you can't see how pretty they are in real life.  Every card I spritzed with my shimmer spray I make with rubbing alcohol and Shimmer Paint.  THIS SHIMMER PAINT IS RETIRING TOMORROW!!!  The Champagne Shimmer Mist is sold out...but you can get the Frost White or Platinum for now.  PLEASE stock up on this before it's gone so you aren't sad when you can't get it anymore!  :)

Something I used on this card that I used on a lot of these others cards as well is the Color Spritzer tool.  This is a MUST HAVE for your stamping tools collection.  It's SO EASY to add some fun ink splatter with this tool and a marker.  And it makes such a difference on the final project.  This is retiring tomorrow so get it before it's gone!!!

Card #2...

I think these colors together are so cute!  It's using some retiring colors...Baja Breeze and Riding Hood Red and then already gone...Peach Parfait.  But you can substitute for something similar.  It's just fun and bright and cheery and not normal colors I would put together.  Here are some more pics...

Again...this is sprayed with Shimmer Spray and SO SPARKLY in real life.  And that Distressed Dots background...YES!  It's retiring tomorrow.  Another must have for in your stamp stash so get it before it's gone!  :)

Card #3...

This set is "Just Believe" and is also retiring tomorrow.  Fun nature set.  Uses Pink Pirouette, Lucky Limeade, and Close to Cocoa (already retired).

Another view of the card...
Yes...again...there is that shimmer spray!  It sparkles SO MUCH in person! And are you loving that ink splatter done with the Color Spritzer tool?!??!

Card #4...

Now this stamp set is AWESOME!  It's called "Button Buddies" and I am SO SAD it is retiring tomorrow!  It's a fun one to use!  I also really like this color combo.  Bermuda Bay, Real Red, Basic Black, and River Rock.

More views...

Are you overwhelmed with cards yet?!  Want to see one more?!

Card #5...

Who doesn't need a fun birthday card with a cupcake on it?!  And that ink splatter?!  I love it...hope you do too!  Here is another view...

Hope you enjoyed these cards!  Let me know if you have any questions.

If you need any supplies...feel free to email me your order (designwithink@gmail.com) or order 24/7 on my website:  www.ashleyvancamp.stampinup.net.
