Flower Bouquet With a Surprise...

Our friends had a new baby the other day.  We wanted to take them something fun, so I made her a flower bouquet...with paper.  And I added a fun surprise....pockets that I could put gift cards in!! Cause what new mom doesn't need a quick (free!) dinner in the crazy months ahead?!  Want to see how I did this?!

Kinda fun, huh?!  Here are some more pictures...

The best part about these flowers, is that the "Bouquet Bigz Die" makes these flowers SO EASY to make!  BUT...it's RETIRING!!  So get it while you can!  Also...the center of the flowers are made with the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch which is also retiring!

Here is the die...

Look at all those fun flower shapes!  And here is the basic gist of putting a flower together...

For the large flowers I cut out 5 of the largest petals (and with the Bigz die...you can cut all of them at once!!!!) and curled them with a bone folder like this...

Then, see that slit at the flat part of the petal?!  Well you just add a little hot glue to one side, and glue the other side to it like this...

Then it gives it that fun petal shape.  Then I just punched out a circle (2 1/2") and hot glued the petals around the circle...

Then you cut out 5 of the smaller petals, and just adhere to the inside of the larger petals.  Then punch out a circle from the same paper and adhere.  To make your flower center--punch out 6 scallop circles, stack them together, staple them together in the middle, spritz the top flower with rubbing alcohol, scrunch up the top layer, then repeat spritzing and scrunching until it's all puffy.  Then adhere to the middle...

SO FUN, right?!?!?

Then I used the Envelope Punch Board to make an envelope to hold a gift card (the measurements are right on the board).  Then just cut the envelope in half, and adhere one half to the back of the flower...

I am kinda in love...

Then just make as many as you need and put them in a vase/bucket/whatever!  Here is a picture of the whole bouquet again...

After the gift cards are gone, you could easily display these flowers around the house.  Hope you enjoy!  Let me know if you have any questions!  Let me know if you want to order any of these retiring products before they gone!  designwithink@gmail.com.

Introducing Peekaboo Peach...

Are you loving these upcoming In-Colors?!  Dapper Denim, Flirty Flamingo, and Emerald Envy!  Well it's time for another color!  How about a little...

PEEKABOO PEACH!!!

Here is the display board for this fun color that was displayed at On Stage (Stampin' Up!'s convention) a few weeks ago...

And here is one of my contributions to that board...

This color is definitely bright and cheery and really..."so much happy".  I loved this phrase.  The "so much" and "happy" are from the "Crazy For You" bundle...which includes the stamp set and Hello You thinlits.  It's such a fun bundle!

Loving those flowers in the middle.  They are just punched with the flower punch from the "Itty Bitty Accents" Punch Pack.  Adds some fun dimension to the card.

Hope you enjoy this card!  Thanks for visiting!  Let me know if you have any questions! designwithink@gmail.com.

Thanks Expressions...April Club Card!

One of my FAVE accessories in Stampin' Up!'s annual catalog are the Expressions Natural Elements. Fun wooden words, in a cool font...what could be better?!  So wanted to use them on our club card this month!  The pack comes with 3 options...Thanks, Congrats, and Celebrate.

Here is the card we made...

So fun, right?!  Look at that AWESOME "Thanks" word!!!  Now....I basically copied this card from a swap I got at Stampin' Up!'s On Stage (convention) that I just attended.  Changed the colors and a couple things, but mostly it's the same.  Heather...my good friend...made it!  She pretty much rocks! :-)

What is your favorite element on the card?!  The stamping?  (Done with the Timeless Textures stamp set in the Occasions Catalog)  The Expressions Natural Elements?  (The wooden Thanks) The Tea Lace Paper Doily?! (These are retiring and MY FAVORITE!  So I will be stocking up!!!)  Or how about the Designer Series Paper I used?! (From the "It's My Party" stack...can use this paper for ANY Occasion...it's definitely not just for parties!!!)  The Silver Thread Loops?! The Silver Foil Heart?! (Punched with the Sweetheart punch from Silver Foil paper)

Whatever it is...hope you enjoy this card!!  Thanks so much for visiting!  Let me know if you have any questions!  designwithink@gmail.com.

Wanted to share the project we made at stamp club this month.  Most people know...I LOVE my banners!  So decided we needed to make one this month...

  • Deco Labels Framelits (banners)
  • Larger Than Life Alphabet & Numbers ("happy" letters)
  • Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper (banners behind the letters)
  • 2 1/2" Circle Punch (to punch the letters out)
  • Pool Party Glitter Ribbon (swoon...LOVE this stuff!!!)
  • Star Punch (from Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack)
  • Venetian Trim Ribbon
  • Arrows Embossing Folder
Here are a few more shots...

This would be a fun banner to hang in any room that needs a little pick me up!  Make one, and I want to see it!  Share a picture of it with me!  :-)

Introducing Emerald Envy...

So here is the third of five upcoming In Colors!!!  You have already seen Dapper Denim and Flirty Flamingo (click on color name to see those posts).  Well now it's time for...

EMERALD ENVY!!!!

This is such a beautiful and rich green color.  To be honest...I wasn't sure I loved it when I first saw it.  BUT...then I paired it with my fave color, Melon Mambo, and all was well with the world.  :-)  And after playing with Emerald Envy...I LOVE this color!  It's beautiful!  But don't take my word for it...I will let you decide for yourself!  :-)

Here is the display board from this color...

Look at all the fun projects on this board!!! (I have a total of 4 on the board...will share the other 3 soon!) And here is the one of the cards I made with this color...

(Can you spot this card up on the board?! :-) And any guesses what my other 3 projects are?! :-) )

The flower stamp I used is a hostess stamp set in the upcoming catalog called "Fabulous Flora".  I embossed it with white embossing powder, stamped the splatter image (from "Gorgeous Grunge" stamp set) in Emerald Envy, and then sponged some Emerald Envy ink over that section to draw your eyes to the flowers.  Then added the Melon Mambo "hello" (from Hello You Thinlits), some banners, a Bow Paperclip, and some gold sequins, and you are done!  :-)

Hope you enjoy this card!  Thanks so much for visiting!  Let me know if you have any questions!  designwithink@gmail.com.

Kinda loving this card.  May make a few to pass around because who wouldn't have their day brightened by this card?!  :-)

It's Gift Time!!!

I have another post about Stampin' Up!'s convention...called On Stage!  I love to give my downline that comes to these events (as well as my hotel roomies) a little gift.  It's fun to spoil people and handmade gifts are the best at making people feel loved!  Today I just wanted to share the little gifts I gave...

First up is a little snack bag...

Love this color combo:  Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, and Basic Black.  Give this color combo a try!  It's so much fun!

These Sketched Dots bags are SO. MUCH. FUN!  But....they are retiring!  (As well as the Designer Series Paper I used...It's My Party...and the Bermuda Bay ribbon.)  Grab some before they are gone!  You will find so many uses for them!!!

Then I also gave them something that they can keep with them and display to remind them of how much I love them!  It's just a super quick, but very fun, frame...

This is very simple...but that's kinda what I love about it.  A couple more pics...

This is a frame from IKEA.  I love how thick it is.

Once again, I used the "It's My Party" Designer Series Paper for the Mint Macaron piece.  This paper is great for birthdays, but it has SO MANY fun patterns that can be used for anything!

I used the Flower Patch stamp set to get the "be" and "tiful" parts...just cut apart the beYOUtiful sentiment to get the pieces I needed.  Then I used the "Hello You" thinlits for the "you".

And since every project needs a little texture, I just added some ribbon...

Hope you enjoyed these little gifts.  Here is one of my cutie downline gals holding her gift...

Hope you enjoyed these projects!  Let me know if you have any questions!!!!  designwithink@gmail.com.
