Where is the pizzazz?!  Well...if you check out the flower detail and the flourish behind it...you may notice it is glossy/shiney/fabulous.  :-)  Just look at how beautiful!!! ...

I just stamped my image, then drew over it with the glue pen.  Let dry, and voila!  Totally beautiful!  Check out the flower...

TGIF Challenge - 113: Easy Bokeh Hugs!

It is TGIF Challenge time...whoooooooo!!!  You know I love these days!  I hope you do too!  Play along if you haven't before!  It really is fun to have something new to do and some direction as you start to create.  :-)  Check out this week's challenge...

It's a Technique!!!  How fun is this?!  I'm sure you have seen Bokeh somewhere in crafting, home decor, photography, etc.  It actually is a Japanese word that means "blur".  So want to see how I handled this technique?!  There are lots of achieve this look, but I did a SUPER easy & SUPER quick version.  Want to see what I created?! ...

Kinda fun, huh?!

Colors: Calypso Coral, Soft Sky, Crushed Curry, Basic Black
Cardstock/Papers: Soft Sky, Basic Black, Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper, Window Sheet
Stamps: Lovely Inside & Out
Tools: 1 3/4" & 1/4" Circle Punches, Classic Label Punch, Sponge Dauber
Accessories: Crushed Curry Baker's Twine, Delicate White Doily

Let me show you a few quick pictures to show you what I did...

1. Punch some circles from a piece of window sheet to make a template.  (I used the 1 3/4" & 1 1/4" circle here.

2.  Pick a piece of Designer Series Paper that you want to use and cut it to size.  (This is the part that makes this version of this technique so easy! And the size is 3 3/4" x 5" for this card.)  Place your circle template on the paper and swirl ink over the punched circle in the template...using Whisper White craft ink...creating a circle onto the paper. (Start with the largest circle.)

3. Repeat this until you have as many large circles as you want.  Then repeat with the smaller circles.  The third size circle on this paper...I just used the actual sponge dauber instead of a punched circle.  Just ink the dauber, place on paper, and twist to add the circle of color...

So fun and easy, right?!  Look how cute it is!  I kinda love it!  Love that you can see the pattern under the paper, and how it adds so much interest.

Then you just set it aside to dry and when it is dry...just add your finishing touches.  I kept it super simple since I wanted the technique to shine...

So what do you think?!  Go try it!  Head to the Challenge Blog to participate!!!!

Thanks so much for visiting!!!  I hope you enjoy this project!  Let me know if you have any questions or want to purchase any supplies!!...

Double Paper Pumpkin Fun...

Do you receive a fun orange box in the mail each month?  If not...you really should consider signing up for Paper Pumpkin!  It's a fabulous fun filled, already designed/everything included craft kit!!!  And *BONUS* - when you sign up through me...I send you an extra card each month!  I make a card with just the stamp set that comes with the kit for the month.  This is intended to give you another idea for you to do after you have completed your kit!  Fun, right?!  :-)  Well...I thought I would share you the past 2 months cards that I sent out.  I keep these simple so it can appeal to crafters of all levels...

What do you think?  Both totally easy and not using a ton of supplies.

This first one is from the April kit, and is really similar to the kits projects.  Do a little watercolor coloring with the watercolor pencils that came as a free gift in that kit.  And then stamp your greeting and splatters (from that month's stamp set), and then add the Washi (also from that month's kit....plenty left even after all the projects are made!).  Easy, breezy...

I LOVE watercoloring like this.  SO easy to do.  Seriously, just make a little scribble around where you want it--using just one color or multiple--and then use an Aqua Painter to blend it all together!  (When doing multiple colors... blend two colors at a time, wipe off/squeeze Aqua Painter until it runs clear, and then blend two others so you don't get an ugly muddle.)

So fun, right?!  I love how each time looks a little different--depending on your blending, how much color you add, etc.  Watercoloring is one of my fave looks!  So fun and fresh and "artistic" feeling!

This next one is so easy, and really...and Designer Paper you love could be the star of the show...

This paper is from the fun "Delightful Daisy" paper that is in the new catalog.  LOVE this paper collection...they are all works of art!

Add some Tranquil Tide ribbon behind the greeting to make it pop a little...and you have a really simple, but fun card!

Let me know if you have any questions or want to sign up to get these glorious boxes each month!  Thanks so much for visiting!!!!

Crate Of Cards - June Club Project...

I mean, serious, HOW CUTE is the Wood Crate Bundle (called Wood Words Bundle) in the new catalog?  So in love!  Check out the project we made with it for club this month...

It's a little wood crate with a 3" x 3" note card set inside...

So much fun!  I wanted to show off all the new In Colors--so they are all used here!  The cards are super simple, but would be so much fun to slip in with any gift you give, or just on their own.  We made envelopes using the Envelope Punch Board and the new Fresh Florals paper...

I mean serious...how cute is this?!  (Hee.  You can say that about your own projects, right?!  Because after all...it's not me making it cute...they are cute on their own!  :-) )

What a fun sketch, right?!  Well...want to see what I came up with?!  Can I just say though, that I LOVE getting new Designer Series Paper.  Sparks all sorts of creativity in my soul.  And the new Stampin' Up! catalog has some beauties in it!  One of my FAVORITES is called "Naturally Eclectic." So much fun and LOVE the color combo!  So that was my starting point for this sketch...

ColorsSoft Sky, Night of Navy, Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist, Emerald Envy, Peekaboo Peach
Cardstock/PapersSoft Sky, Night of Navy, Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist, Emerald Envy, Peekaboo Peach, Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper

My Main Squeeze - Lemon Zest!

When I saw the catalog, one of the FIRST things to jump out at me was the "Lemon Zest" bundle...stamp set and coordinating punch.  Oh how I love it.  (Maybe because Lemon Lime Twist is my FAVE In Color and it just screamed for this stamp set to go with it?! Hee.)  I thought it was fitting to use the "Main Squeeze" sentiment for the first card I made with this bundle...since this stamp set and Lemon Lime Twist just may be my main squeeze from the new catalog.  Haha.  (Ok...and it will be a fun card to give my hubby this summer.)

ColorsLemon Lime Twist, Soft Sky, Melon Mambo
Cardstock/PapersShimmer White Cardstock, Whisper White, Eastern Palace Designer Series Paper
Stamps: Lemon Zest
ToolsLemon Builder Punch, Watercolor Pencils, Aqua Painter
Accessories: Gold Thread, Basics Pack 2 Washi, Metallics Sequin Assortment

How fun is this?!  Love the brightness of color.  Also...the white piece is Shimmery White cardstock, so it's all glittery in real life...

(Can you even see that glimmer?  Probably not...sorry!  It's subtle but so fun in real life.)

I like to use Shimmery White cardstock sometimes when I am watercoloring.  Watercolor Paper is my FAVORITE to use...but this cardstock is a bit thicker, doesn't "pill" as easy, and you get a fun shimmer!  Win-Win-Win!

The watercoloring could NOT be easier.  I used the AMAZING Watercolor Pencils.  (Have you used those yet?!  OH MY HEAVENS...they. are. the. best.  All I did was literally scribble some Melon Mambo on the corner of my cardstock...

(You can probably see the shimmer of the paper best in this photo!)

...and then took an Aqua Painter and just colored over it so it all blended.  Then let it dry while I made the other parts of the card.  So. Easy!!!

Hope you enjoy!  Thanks so much for visiting!  Let me know if you have any questions or would like to order any fun crafting supplies!  Would love to be your creative coach!

Crafting Forever Meets Powder Pink...

Do you follow me on Facebook or Instagram?!  If so...you saw this sneak peek of a project today...

(If you don't follow me...what are you waiting for?!  :-)  Just search for Design With Ink on either social media platform and click follow!)

Well...want to see what that project was?! Of course you do?! Hee.

I combined a few of my loves...the new fun "Powder Pink" In Color, the heart-swoon worthy stamp set "Crafting Forever", and the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack...

Colors: Early Espresso, Powder Pink
Cardstock/PapersWatercolor paper, Early Espresso, Powder Pink, Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack
Stamps: Crafting Forever
Tools: Big Shot, Stitched Shaped Framelits
Accessories: Whisper White Baker's Twine, Powder Pink 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon, Rhinestones

I LOVED using my paper snips to cut out fun paper snips I had stamped!  Haha.  Also... I'm loving creating with the new In Colors--my most FAVORITE thing to see when the new catalog comes out!  (I LOVE color!!!)  And I truly love the sentiment on this card.  "Do something creative every day" are words to live by.  Little or large--being creative helps our souls.

You may be saying to yourself, "Now wait!  I saw lots of scissors in the teaser picture!"

Well, you are right!  I made several of these cards.  Here is a pile of some of them...

I am currently STILL sending out NEW Stampin' Up! catalogs!  If you still need one...just drop me an email (designwithink@gmail.com) and find out how you can get one FREE!  If you are a current customer of mine...they are on their way to you!

And just FYI...

These scissors are glittery!!!!!  (Just hard to grab a pic of.)  I colored over them with the Wink of Stella Glitter brush to make them sparkle.

***QUICK TIP****  When you use a dark card base, make sure you put a lighter color on the inside to write on!  ...

Hope you enjoy this card!  Let me know if you have any questions!  Would love to help you with any of your creating needs!  :-)

Celebrate With Berry Burst...

Have you seen the new In Colors yet?!  I love them so!  They are all so trendy and fun.  Today I am sharing a fun project I made with the "Berry Burst" color. SO FUN!  This is a deep, almost purply, pink.

So...my friend made me the cutest wall hanging awhile back.  (You can check it out HERE...so cute!)  I decided to totally copy her and make another one, using Berry Burst this time.

ColorsBerry Burst, Gold
Cardstock/PapersWatercolor paper, Gold Foil paper, Vellum cardstock
Stamps: Falling Flowers
ToolsHeat Tool, Big Shot, Happy Birthday Thinlits, Triple Banner Punch

Accessories: Whisper White Baker's Twine, White embossing powder

How fun is this?!  And SO EASY!  It's made with Watercolor paper, a wooden dowel, and baker's twine!  I just used one sheet of Watercolor paper, cut the bottom into the banner shape, embossed the flowers (from the "Falling Flowers" stamp set) in white embossing powder, then just watercolored the whole paper.  (Smoosh the Berry Burst ink pad together before you open it, creating a pool of ink in the lid of the ink pad.  Then just pick up the ink with an aqua painter and color!  So fun and easy!)  Wrap and tie the twine around the wooden dowel, and then hot glue it to the top of the banner.

Then just add a Vellum banner and the "Happy Birthday" cut out from Gold Foil paper and VOILA!  You are done!

I'm really excited at how fun this came out.  You could totally use lots of colors when doing this and do it for any occasion!

Hope you enjoy!  Thank so much for visiting!  Please let me know if you have any questions!
