Lifetime of Love For TGIF Challenge 461!

Well we are hoping to inspire you with this week's TGIF Challenge!  It is a fun inspirational challenge.  I am sharing my card first & then I will show you the challenge!  Then - head over to the TGIF Challenge Blog to play along with us!

Colors Coastal Cabana, Melon Mambo, Parakeet Party, Basic White, Basic Black, Gold
Inks: Coastal Cabana, Parakeet Party, Melon Mambo, VersaMark
Cardstock/Papers: Basic White, Basic Black, Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, Gold Foil Sheets
Stamps: Lifetime of Love
Tools:  Lifetime of Love Dies, Perennial Postage Dies, Heat Tool, Water Painter
Accessories: Basic Embossing Poweder, Metallics Embossing Powder, Adhesive Sheets

What could the challenge be?!  Well here it is!

Use his graphic as a sketch, or take the colors, or use the general vibe, or take the watercoloring wash technique, or whatever you think of - try it out!  We want to see! 😁

Here are a few more pics of the details! I actually made a similar card for a Stampin' Up! Artisan project recently.  You can see that post HERE. This is just a little different of a take!

I did lots of watercoloring with this, and I thought that floral frame from the Lifetime of Love Dies was PERFECT!  I stamped & embossed that leaf background, and then went to town watercoloring.  I have done this lots before and I truly love it.  It's so much fun and I think it is so gorgeous!  Then I just added the frame, that I die-cut in white, and watercolored/die-cut the flowers and added that!  ***TIP: use Adhesive Sheets on the cardstock you are cutting the frame out of.  That makes it SO EASY to adhere down to your project!

I also love the little postage accent under the greeting that I also did on my original card, so I added that!

Bring in a little more gold accent by putting some on the side, and VOILA!  I think it's so pretty!

Here is one more view of the full card!

I hope you enjoy!  Now that you have seen this - it's time to head to the TGIF Challenge Blog & play along with us!  We are so excited and always love seeing what you create!

Please let me know if you have any questions or need help with anything!  Would love to help you with all your papercrafting needs!  Please also let me know if you need help getting any Stampin' Up! supplies!

Thank you for visiting!

Lifetime Of Love Meets Heartfelt Hexagon!

It is February, so lots of love themed things are going on out there.  Sadly, there are also sad times as well.  During lots of sad times, there really isn't much more we can do to help except let them know we care.  I personally feel a handmade card is just the thing to convey that. So I used Stampin' Up!'s Lifetime of Love Bundle & Heartfelt Hexagon Bundle to create this card for just one of those occasions.

Colors Melon Mambo, Tahitian Tide, Lemon Lime Twist, Basic White, Basic Black
Inks: Lemon Lolly, VersaMark, BLENDS: Melon Mambo, Tahitian Tide, Lemon Lime Twist
Cardstock/Papers: Basic White, Basic Black
Stamps: Lifetime of Love, Heartfelt Hexagon
Tools:  Heartfelt Hexagon Punch, Lifetime of Love Dies, Painted Texture Embossing Folder, Heat Tool
Accessories: Linen Thread, Iridescent Rhinestones, Basics Embossing Powder, Metallics Embossing Powder

Yes, I still stuck with some bright colors.  Tahitian Tide & Melon Mambo are a great combo.  The background of the focal point was just made with some Basic White cardstock and a Blends Marker.  I simply freehanded some lines on the cardstock, because that is the look I was going for.  You could definitely do this with a ruler if you wanted them more straight & even.  I just didn't for this card.

I love this flower.  And it is a flower that will live forever!  Yay! I love the textured background as well.

I think these two bundles work so well together.  Thank you so much for stopping by and checking this out!  I hope you enjoy!  Please let me know if you have any questions! Would love to help you with all your papercrafting needs! Would also love to help you get your hands on any Stampin' Up! papercrafting products you want!

Quick Submarine Hello ...

A few cute friends wanted to say HELLO!

Colors Lemon Lolly, Melon Mambo, Tahitian Tide, Lemon Lime Twist, Basic White
Inks: Lemon Lolly, Melon Mambo, Tahitian Tide, Lemon Lime Twist, Memento Jet Black
Cardstock/Papers: Basic White, Lemon Lolly
Stamps: Submarine Life
Tools:  Perennial Postage Dies, Sponge Dauber
Accessories: Tahitian Tide 1/8" Metallic Woven Ribbon

And I wanted to share a quick way to use the Submarine Life Stamp Set.  This is in Stampin' Up!'s current Mini Catalog and I LOVE this bundle!  These ocean creatures, WITH SNORKEL MASKS, are the cutest things in the world!  I love them!  Obsessed a bit, really.  Haha.   Just look at them!  😍

This card was so quick & easy to put together, and just uses a few supplies!

🐠  Use a sponge dauber to create the circles in the background.  Just ink it up,                 place it where you want a dot on the Basic White Cardstock, and twist the                     dauber to get a good solid dot.  Repeat on the cardstock for a fabulous polka dot          background!

🐠  Stamp your ocean friends on a piece of Basic White cardstock cut to fit the                     Perennial Postage Die cut.  I started by stamping the octopus first right in the             middle, to get the spacing right.

🐠  Put it together!  Wrap the Tahitian Tide 1/8" Metallic Woven Ribbon around the             polka dot background twice, then tie with the bow on the right side.  Adhere it             to the card front.  Layer the ocean friends piece to the postage die cut, using                 dimesionals.  Then adhere to the card front!

That is all there is to it!  Easy peasy, but would make anyone day brighter & better!

Please let me know if you have any questions!  Would love to help you with all your papercrafting needs!  Thank you so much for visiting this little space!  I also would love to help you get any Stampin' Up! supplies you may need!  So please reach out if I can help!

It's A Beautiful Perennial Lavender Artisan Hop!

Hello there!  Today I am SO SO EXCITED to share what I made for my monthly Stampin' Up! Artisan projects!  A few fellow Artisan's & I were assigned the Perennial Lavender Suite from Stampin' Up! to create projects with.  And we are HOPPING today over on Instagram & Facebook!  So after you get the details here, go check my post out there so you can see all the other fabulous projects some of the other Artisans have made! (@designwithink on IG & Design With Ink on FB)

I have to admit, I had even more fun that I thought I would have making these!  I am not a huge purple person, and this suite is heavy in purple.  But my youngest daughter LOVES purple, so it was really fun to embrace that color a bit.  Stampin' Up! offers so many fun purple shades, and a lot of them are in this suite.  So ready to see the two cards I made?!  Stay tuned to see a few tips I share also on making them!

So...not sure if I am allowed to say this about my own creations, but I am in love.  😍  These came out even better than I thought they would, and I want to even make more of them! Hee.  Let me highlight them individually just a bit below.

Can you guess which card is my favorite?  Well...I will tell you.  It is the butterfly background one!

Colors Lost Lagoon, Fresh Freesia, Basic White
Inks: Lost Lagoon, Fresh Freesia, Shaded Spruce
Cardstock/Papers: Basic White
Stamps: Perennial Postage, Painted Lavender
Tools:  Blending Brush, Perennial Postage Dies, Painted Lavender Dies, Timeworn Type Embossing Folder
Accessories: Linen Thread, Paper Butterfly Accents, Purple Fine Shimmer Gems

I just love how the background turned out.  I love the pop of purple with the flowers.  I love the sentiment.  I just really love it all.  Hee.  💕  Let me share a bit more with you on how I made the background.

🦋  VERY lightly adhere different Paper Butterfly Accents to a piece of Basic White cardstock.  These will act like a mask on the cardstock.

🦋  Use a Blending Brush to carefully blend Lost Lagoon ink over each of the butterfly.  I would move the Blending Brush carefully, and just focus on one butterfly at a time.  Repeat until all butterflies have ink around them.  I wanted variation in color, so I would just blend more ink onto some parts than others.

🦋  Carefully remove each Butterfly Accent.  They will be colored with ink at this point, but keep them for another project!

🦋  Run the cardstock through an embossing folder of your choosing for added texture.

See photos below to help visualize it:

Let me know if you have any questions on this!  Would love to help!

Now here are a few more pics of the details:

Like seriously, how beautiful is this card?!  😊

Now this next one was actually the first one I made out of these two cards.  And I didn't think I could top it.  Haha.  I really loved the blended ink, the stamped black image over the blended background, the pop of white postage, etc.  I think it turned out quite beautiful:

Colors Fresh Freesia, Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Starry Sky, Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Basic White
Inks: LFresh Freesia, Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Starry Sky, Tuxedo Black, VersaMark
Cardstock/Papers: Basic White, Basic Black, Perennial Lavender DSP
Stamps: Perennial Postage, Painted Lavender
Tools:  Blending Brush, Perennial Postage Dies, Heat Tool
Accessories: Linen Thread, Purple Fine Shimmer Gems, Basics Embossing Powder

The background I just used a bunch of different purple inks & a blending brush to blend, blend, blend that ink.  Adding different spots around the cardstock.  So yes, that piece started out just a Basic White cardstock piece.  Haha.  Definitely has new life now!  Hee.  When it was all inked up, I took a Water Painter and just flicked the end in the cap, over the paper, and let water droplets splatter onto the cardstock.  Then took a paper towel & pounced it onto the drops.  And voila!  That is the result!  I love doing this!

Check out some details up close in the photo below of this card:

Once again - I had so much fun making these cards!  I would love to help you with any of your papercrafting needs!  I also would love to help you get your hands on any Stampin' Up! supplies you need!  Please let me know if you have any questions or need help with anything!

So Fruity! With Watercoloring!

I posted a lemon card a few weeks ago, and I had so much fun making that card that I had to make another fruity one!  There are so many fun fruits in the Simply Sparkling Stamp Set, what can I say? They were calling to me.

All supplies are Stampin' Up!

Colors Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo, Lemon Lime Twist, Coastal Cabana, Lemon Lolly, Pumpkin Pie, Basic White, Basic Black
Inks: Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo, Lemon Lime Twist, Coastal Cabana, Lemon Lolly, Pumpkin Pie, VersaMark, BLENDS:  Basic Black
Cardstock/Papers: Basic White, Basic Black, Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper
Stamps: Simply Sparkling, Phrases For All
Tools:  Heat Tool, Water Painter
Accessories: Baker's Twine Essentials Pack, Pastels Adhesive-Backed Sequins, Metallics Embossing Powder, Basics Embossing Powder

Isn't this card just so bright & cheery?!  I love it.  You can check out the lemon card in THIS POST. They are just about the same card.  I watercolored the images, just like the lemon card.  And I used the Basic Black Blends Marker to do the stripes on the side, just like the lemon card.

Here are a few more pics of the details:

If you have any questions on anything you see here, please let me know!  Also - if you need help getting your hands on any of these Stampin' Up! supplies - I would be happy to help with that also! Thank you so much for visiting!  I hope you enjoy!

  • They can be in any $$ denomination! (sorry ... I can only do them for those in the USA)
  • I make sure they are ☆CUTE☆ and match whatever occasion!  (Or I can make them "everyday" cute as well! 😃) for no additional fee!
  • Great to give to your friends & family!
  • Give my info to your friends & family and have them get them for YOU!
With the wide variety of items in the Stampin' Up! catalogs & website ... it is easy to find a gift in any price point you need or want! 💕

Here is the latest one I made just last week for a very fabulous human!  She loves pinks, flowers, & her daughter was getting it for her for her birthday!  So that was my theme! 😍

Colors Bubble Bath, Melon Mambo, Gray Granite, Basic White
Inks: Bubble Bath, Melon Mambo, VersaMark, BLENDS: Melon Mambo
Cardstock/Papers: Basic White, Gray Granite, Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper
Stamps: Beautiful Balloons, Phrases for All
Tools:  Beautiful Balloons Dies, Painted Texture Embossing Folder, Heat Tool
Accessories: Baker's Twine Essentials Pack, Basics Embossing Powder, Adhesive Backed Lighting & Stars, 3/4" Herringbone Ribbon, Iridescent Ribbon (retired!), Pink/White Twine (from a retired kit)

I made a cute envelope for it to go in, tied a bow around to keep the flap in the back closed (so you don't have to tear it to get it open ... just slide the flap out or untie it!), and then decorated the front!

Love all the pink! Hee.  And here is how the back looks:

The ribbon ties around, flap tucked in.  Slide the flap out or untie the ribbon and here is the cute gift card inside:

***NOTE: I used Blends to color the White 3/4" Herringbone Ribbon & make it pink! Blends are such a fabulous tool for SO! MANY! REASONS!  They seem to make everything more versatile!  Hee.  The pink twine was leftover from a kit, FYI.

I really love making these so please let me know if you want one!  😁  Let me know if you have any questions on anything!  I would love to help!  Thank you for visiting!
