A corporate gift...

What does a box full of 100 little bottles of sunscreen in a cello bag, tied together with a little card, a business card, and ribbon look like? Well...look above and you can see a few of them! :) As I've been getting ready for convention, I've also been doing this! My husband manages a team of business bankers, and so I made some of these for one of the people on his team. They are a little gift to leave with some prospective clients. I think they are cute. :) It's a 3x3 card, with Real Red card stock. Then the "you are absolutely fabulous" stamp is embossed with Black emboss powder. So it's really nice looking in person. Then the scallop punch strawberry and voila! Beautiful! :) I have to say...with all the embossing and then coloring and stamping that strawberry...it took quite a bit of time. But it's worth it! I really like them!

CONVENTION TIME!!!!

I can't believe that it's CONVENTION TIME for us Stampin' Up! demos!!!! It is SO EXCITING that I can barely stand it! My life has been CRAZY busy this past little bit with being out of town, and then getting ready for all the FUN!!!!! YEAH!!!!! So I just wanted to say that tomorrow morning is up and at 'em to the convention center I go!!! YEAH! I'll try to keep you updated on things. I will have the NEW CATALOG in my hands in less than 12 hours!!!!!!! I hope I don't have to wait too long in a line to get it!!!!!!!! I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FABULOUS!!!! Anyway....I hope you can sense my excitement! :) Get ready because here we go!!!!!!!!!..............

Calculating....Stampin' Up! style!!

I am itching for some new Designer Series Paper in the new catalog coming in August, but loving the new Bella Rose paper they showed us demo's early. :) I didn't totally love it when I saw it at first, but a big fan now! SO MUCH FUN! Anyway: back to task at hand...I actually went to Staples today (and ran into my cousin/upline that is in town for family and convention!!!!! Hi Jill!!!!!!!) and saw these amazing calculators when I was checking out. I thought I had seen someone alter these with Stampin' Up's paper online somewhere before, so I had to buy some. :) I can't remember exactly whose I saw first...but when I searched today I found these done by Nancy. So cute! And I wasn't sure if Stampin' Up's punches would fit this exactly, but turns out THEY DO! I used the 1 3/8" punch for the circle keypad, and then the 1/4" punch for the little circle keys. Then the small oval punch for the display. ***Note: the small oval wasn't quite exact. So I just lined it up once and punched, and then moved a little and lined it up to punch the rest out. Easy peasy. I am thinking I better run back and get more. So no one go to the Layton Staples here in Utah and steal them from me, ok?! :) Oh...they are $0.99 each, by the way. TOO MUCH FUN! Here they are with some of the Bella Rose paper:
***Side note: does the name BELLA Rose paper remind anyone else of anything?!? Maybe something that is being released August 2nd?! Yes...yes...I can't get Stampin' Up's convention out of my mind, but I also can't get THAT out of my mind either!!! :)
This is a clear envelope brag book/scrapbook. I found one of these on the blog of a group I belong to, Utah Divas International, on this post. Courtney was the one that made this one. Anyway...once I saw them I KNEW I had to make one. TOO CUTE! So I made one while I was on vacation. They really are a lot of fun to make! So give it a shot yourself!

Stamps: Enjoy Every Moment, Heard from the Heart (upcoming in August!)
Ink: Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red (both upcoming in August!), and Chocolate Chip
Card Stock: Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red (both upcoming in August!), Chocolate Chip, and Whisper White
Accessories: Bella Rose Designer Series Paper, Silver Brads, Chocolate Chip 5/8" grosgrain ribbon, Pretties Kit (for the clear rhinestone brads that are holding the book together), clear envelopes, Linen Thread, Sticky Strip

This is the book opened. I just simply cut some card stock in coordinating colors and put them in the sleeves created by the clear envelopes. Easy to add photos by just cutting the photo to size (the card stock is cut to a standard card size...4-1/4 x 5-1/2). Super fun to make! Enjoy!

Sorry!

I apologize for my absence! Things got kinda busy at the end of my trip and then ever since I've been home since Saturday night, they have been even busier! But I'm going to post a few new things in a minute to make up for it! :) Hope everyone has been doing great!

By the way...Stampin' Up's CONVENTION is THIS WEEK!! Starts on Wednesday, and I can't wait!!! There are lots of fun things planned, and I know a few surprises along the way. I will try to update during convention. I only live like 20 minutes from the convention center where it will be, so I will be coming home each night. (And my fabulous downline, Megan, is staying with me so YEAH! More stamping fun at night as well...I'm sure!!! :) ) So I will try to post new things along the way. I can't WAIT!!! It's the kickoff to Stampin' Up's 20th YEAR CELEBRATION. FUN!!! FUN!!!! I'm seriously so excited.

Off to upload some photos of a few things I've worked on...

Stand Up Pop Up Card...

So I have seen a few of these cards throughout the years, but have never made one. I decide to change that and make one! This is what I came up with. Here are a few more pictures of different views. The first one is the card closed. It actually will fit in a standard envelope. And then the second one is just a different view of it standing up. These are fun to make. If you want to try one yourself, I used the instructions found here. Enjoy!

Stamps: Enjoy Every Moment

Ink: Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red

Card Stock: Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White, Riding Hood Red

Accessories: Bella Rose Designer Series Paper, Chocolate Chip 5/8" grosgrain ribbon, 3/4" Circle Punch, silver brads

Possible Convention Swap...

So I was trying to come up with a swap today to make for convention. It's NEXT WEEK! I can't believe it. Time is just flying by. I am so excited to come, but then I also don't want it to. Because then it means summer is almost over. But I can't wait to see all the fun things they have planned, get the new catalog, etc, etc. Anyway: back to my dilemma. I'm not sure this is cute enough. Thoughts on this card?!? The Pink Pirouette heart is up on dimensionals and I wanted the Certainly Celery ribbon in there as a pop of color. So...let me know what you would change and if you think I should produce some of these for swaps. Thanks! :) (And I know there are a few mistakes. I didn't want to redo it so they just are what they are. If I do this for a swap...I will make them perfect. :) )

Stamps: Always
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Card Stock: Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red
Accessories: Certainly Celery 5/8" grosgrain ribbon, Bella Rose Designer Series Paper

Unfinished Notebook...

Now I know the bottom of this notebook looks plain and boring. I'm going to add to it a bit more. But...I did want to show how fun it is to use the Sticky Cuts Letters and Chunky Glitter Stampin' Up has. So fun! And the top is the new Bella Rose Designer Series Paper with a Kiwi Kiss bottom. I know it's selfish to make my own monogram notebook, but hey! It was fun! :) And no stamping has been done yet, so give me some time. :)

Retiring Accessories List...

Well it's here! The list of accessories that will no longer be available in the new catalog has been announced this morning! These are only available until supplies last, so let me know if you want/need anything quickly! Hope you are having a great day! Don't forget...there are some accessories that are 25% OFF!!!!!! Here is the list and the ones with the asterisk by it (and blue) are the ones that are discounted! The ones that are green are already no longer available. So get any orders in quick!

Award!!!

How fun is this?! :) Yeah! Kim Gasper left me an award on her blog! It's so much fun to me that people actually look at my blog and sometimes even like what they see! What fun! :) So thank you, Kim! I know I need to nominate other people, but I don't have my list of blogs that I visit with me right now. So I'll have to get back to that part! Thanks for the nomination though! :) FUN! Thanks...you made my week! :)

Color Inspiration #16

It's that time again! Kristina's Color Inspiration! I know I say this all the time, but if you don't do these...YOU SHOULD! They are so much fun! I actually didn't think I would be able to participate this time. I just knew I wouldn't have the colors she picked with me on my trip. But I DO! Well...most of them. I had to sub Bashful Blue for Soft Sky, but I still thought it worked. SO here's my submission:

Stamps: Always
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery
Card Stock: Certainly Celery, Pumpkin Pie, Bashful Blue, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Pretties Kit, Scallop Edge Punch, 5/8" Certainly Celery ribbon

Bella Rose Pretties!

One of the things I brought with me on my trip is OF COURSE the NEW Designer Series Paper that will be in the new catalog starting August 11th! (Can we all say AHHHHHHHH! I can't wait to see it!!!!!!!!!!!!!) So I decide the other day that I would play. I have to say...I MISS my stamp room! There are SO MANY things I have been wanting to use that I don't have with me. Oh well...it's a fun challenge as well. And it's good to see what you can come up with using just a few things. I have to say...I threw the Pretties Kit in on a whim. I bought one forever ago, but only used it a few times. It's my new best friend! :) I'm using it all the time with everything. It's so much fun and really does make things pretty! :)

This card isn't my fave...but it works, I guess. :)

Stamps: Fundamental Phrases
Ink: Kiwi Kiss
Card Stock: Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red
Accessories: Bella Rose Designer Series Paper, Pretties Kit, New In Color buttons (can't remember what they will be called right now), 1" Circle Punch, white gel pen, Whisper White 1/4" grosgrain ribbon

Stamps: Heard from the Heart
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Card Stock: Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Bella Rose Designer Series Paper, Pretties Kit, 3/4" Circle punch, New In Color Buttons (still can't remember what they are called), white grosgrain ribbon

Priceless Window Card...

So I know I haven't posted in a few days. I have done some stamping though...just hadn't uploaded them to the computer yet. Sorry! But I finally did...so here's the first of a few projects that I've done. This is a window card. I made the window with the 1 3/8" circle punch. Then I have a scallop on the inside to give it some interest inside the card. Here's a photo of the front and the inside...

Stamps: Priceless, Circle of Friendship, Boho Backgrounds
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Pink Piourette, Baja Breeze
Card Stock: Chocolate Chip, Pink Piourette, Baja Breeze, Whisper White

New In Color Limited Supply...

How dedicated am I?! :) Yesterday we left to go out of town for two weeks. My hubby had to go to Colorado for work, and so my daughter and I tagged along and we all stay at my parent's house. ANYWAY...with convention being so close, projects that need working on, and TWO WEEKS away from my stamp room, OF COURSE I had to bring supplies along! :) And OF COURSE I have to keep my blog updated! :) So I took a few minutes to play with my new In Color's and stamp sets. I was going to come up with a card for swaps for convention, and maybe this will be one. :) But maybe not. Not sure yet. But...I had to use whatever supplies I ended up throwing in a box minutes before we left. It would have turned out a bit different...had I had everything I was looking for. :) But, I think I am pretty happy with how it turned out. I just want to play and play with the new In Colors because I love them so! :) Enough blabbing...enjoy! (By the way...I'll be posting as much as I can while I am gone. It might not be as much as normal, but I still will be posting! So stay tuned. :) )

Stamps: Heard from the Heart (upcoming in August!), Always
Ink: Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze (all upcoming in August!), Chocolate Chip
Card Stock: Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Baja Breeze (Aug!), Pink Pirouette (Aug!)
Accessories: Scallop Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, Scallop Edge Punch (upcoming in August!), Pretties Kit (clear brad in the middle of Always)

A Little Red, White, and Blue...

So yes..I know...4th of July is over. However...I had this card in my mind so I had to make it anyway. And it could easily be a birthday card or something too. And hey...it's never too late to celebrate America, right?! :) (Which by the way...I just noticed this ribbon is crooked in this photo and it's going to totally bug me!) This card is very similar to the color inspiration one I did below, just a full size card now and obviously different theme. AND...it's using the NEW in colors!!! The Riding Hood Red and Pacific Point. Aren't they fabulous! I love them. I hope to make many more things using them. :) So keep watching! :)
Stamps: Celebrate Everything
Ink: VersaMark
Card Stock: Riding Hood Red, Pacific Point, Whisper White
Accessories: Star punch, White embossing powder, silver brad, Scallop punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, Whisper White taffeta ribbon (LOVE this stuff! :) )

Color Inspiration #15

Ok...so it's that time again. And how dedicated am I? I had a Stampin' Up! class tonight and didn't get home until 11:30ish. Then I immediately set to work to do this. However...the picture is not great of this card. The Whisper White looks Very Vanilla. So I am going to take another picture tomorrow when there is better lighting and update it. But...I wanted to get it out. PLUS...I HAD to use a new stamp set tonight! :) It's one coming out in the new catalog and I LOVE IT!!!! It's called "Wow Flowers" and it really is wow. Really fun to use. I sat down and had NO idea what I was going to do. This is what I came up with. Oh...I also used the new scallop edge punch that was amazing! Oh yeah...this is a 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 square card. I love square cards. :) Enjoy!

Stamps: Wow Flowers (upcoming in August!)

Ink: Really Rust, Certainly Celery, Close to Cocoa, VersaMark

Card Stock: Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery, Really Rust, Close to Cocoa, Whisper White

Accessories: Chocolate Chip Taffeta Ribbon, Scallop Edge Punch (upcoming in August!), White embossing powder, white gel pen, Scallop punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, 1 1/4" circle punch, Rhinestone Brads

Sneak Peak...

So I FINALLY got my pre-order stuff from Stampin' Up! today. Demo's are given a few items that they are allowed to pre-order to help get them ready for when the new catalog comes out. I stayed up until midnight, when they posted my list. I ended up ordering what I wanted by 2am. And they got so backed up with orders, that I just finally got it today! So YIPPEEEE! I'm so excited. I took some pictures of stuff I got, but I'm not sure I'm allowed to post them. Thinking about it...not sure I can just take a photo of a stamp set and publish it...since they are copyrighted by Stampin' Up. So...how about some In Colors? These are next year's In Colors. All the ones from this year are retiring, and these are the ones that will be around. I LOVE them! All computers look different, so they really are a must to see up close. They're great! There are fun things coming out. I'm excited to show more! I'm sure a lot of you have heard about the scallop edge punch...and OH MY GOODNESS! It's amazing! We actually used it at a class tonight and it went so much faster! It was amazing! Love it!!! So look out for some new, fun, Stampin' Up stuff coming!!!

The First Stage....

Ok...so I ordered a few decor elements to try out. I just had to see if I loved them in person as much as I did in the brochure. Let me say, I LOVE THEM!!! They are such a quick and easy way to spruce up a space on your wall you just weren't sure what to do with. AND...if I change my mind and want something else there...I can remove it and there are no holes in the wall to patch up! Love it! So I wanted to share a pic of what I put up. It's the "Live every moment" and I put it above my front door.
Thoughts? My husband and I love it. And funny story. After I hung it up...my husband says, "Well, there's the first stage of Stampin' Up! now taking over our whole house." I laughed and then he says, "Wait a minute...I guess that's already started happening." (Because yes...sometimes my stamping stuff wanders out into the rest of our house as I'm prepping for classes, club, other events...what can you do?! :) ) At least he's supportive, huh?! :)

Hanging Photo Frames...

Here are a few more hanging photo frames that I made for the Farmer's Market. They are pretty fun to make and would be even more fun to hang. I know, I know! I still can't put that tart and tangy set down! :)

Altered Notebooks...

Yesterday was our 2nd time doing the huge Farmer's Market in Salt Lake City. Here are some altered notebooks I made to sell:

Here's an upclose photo of the bottom of this journal. I just wanted to show how fun this technique is. I just punched out circles in the same color of card stock and adhered them on. Just gives an almost embossed look and I love it. :)

Arte y Pico award!!

Thanks Karen! Karen gave me the Arte y Pico award! How nice is she! Thanks Karen! (Her Color Inspiration #14 submission to Kristina's blog was just picked in the Top 10 as well! So go check it out!)

I would like to pass this award on to:
Check their blogs out...they are great! :) Hope everyone is having a fabulous day!

Decor With Pretties...

I found these frames at WalMart, and fell in love right away. I could totally see a flower from the Pretties Kit or something else cute in each 3x3 cutout. So I bought one to try it out. This is what I came up with. Thoughts? I kinda like it. I think I need to do a pink and brown one for my stamp room. FYI...I colored the flowers with a sponge dauber and the ink pad.
Stamps: Full of Life
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Rose Red marker, Garden Green marker
Card Stock: Whisper White
Accessories: Pretties Kit, Prints Pack

Hanging Photo Frame...

We are doing the Farmer's Market again on Saturday, and so I've been busy making more projects for that. This is a hanging photo frame (not sure what else to call it...anyone have a better name?! :) ) that I made using the On Board Small Book Basics Chipboard. I KNOW....this stamp set/paper is retired now. But....I'm using it and doing my part to try to make sure it makes this next catalog or the next Spring/Summer one. :) So enjoy! By the way...the "Summer Days" and the "A perfect day for family, friends, and fun" sayings are from the Perfect Day rub-ons set.

Stamps: Tart and Tangy
Card Stock: Real Red, Old Olive, Bashful Blue, Whisper White
Ink: Real Red and Old Olive Stampin' Write markers
Accessories: Summer Picnic DSP, Scallop Punch, Circle Punches, Perfect Day Rub-Ons

Color Inspiration #14

It's time for Kristina's color challenge again! These are really fun to try out! Try them if you don't already! :) Although I do have to say...I'm disappointed how this one was photographed. To answer the question I'm sure you're dying to ask...that is a row of brads under the main image. Yes...all of those are black brads. We're suppose to do something bold, right?! :) Well....I've been wanting to do this for awhile, and it just seemed to fit this card and seemed a bit bold. However...whatever card you put that many black brads on, you want to be fabulous, right?! Well, I really do like this card, but IN PERSON. It's just not that fabulous with how it came out in the photo. I'm so sorry! If anyone wants to come over and see it, feel free. :) So anyway: here's my attempt. Sorry it doesn't look that great here! But I do love this stamp set. I've had it for a few months, but just ended up mounting it last night. So of course I had to use it! And I loved the embossed look with this flower and then adding dimension by cutting out different parts and putting them up on dimensionals. ENJOY!
Stamps: Fabulous Flowers
Ink: VersaMark
Card Stock: Basic Gray, Basic Black, Ruby Red, Whisper White
Accessories: Black Brads, Pewter Brad, Black Embossing Powder, White Embossing Powder, tool kit

Bitty Birthday...

I love the "Bitty Birthday" stamp set. It's so great and so much fun to use...especially if you like coloring in your images. I just used markers here but you could easily use watercolor pencils, watercolor crayons, or whatever your favorite coloring medium is. ***FUN TIP: Stampin' Up doesn't have markers for the In Colors. So...I took a top of one of my empty brad containers, put a drop of Wild Wasabi ink in it from the reinker. I just used my blender pen, dipped it in the ink drop, and colored away. Looks just like a marker because you get a heavy concentration of ink from the ink drop. So I solved my problem. It was easy to do, and I love how deep the color was on it. And I have to use my Wild Wasabi color as much as possible before it's GONE! (So sad....I love these In Colors.....however....I am SO EXCITED about the new ones as well. They are GREAT!!)
