New Catty Premier Party!!!

So on Monday night...I was so lucky to get to go to an amazing event!  We had a BLAST!  What was this event?!  Why...it was a New Catalog Premiere party for Stampin' Up!  YES!  We got to see the new catalog that will be going live on June 1st!

And we got to see it through the eyes of some of the most amazing presenters ever!  (Stampin' Up!'s employees of course!) We had so much fun!  You are going to LOVE this catalog!  Please RSVP for yous now...and I will get you a free copy when they are available.  Just email me (designwithink@gmail.com) to let me know that you want one!

Anyway...here is a sneak peek at the catalog cover!  Look close!  It gives some hints as to what is inside...

Now...I LOVE when my downline (the demonstrators that have signed up under me) comes to events with me!  I love to get to know them better, have fun people to hang with, and feed off their excitement.  So I try to show my appreciation of them coming to events by bringing them a fun little gift at all the events we attend together.  (Who doesn't love to be appreciated?!)  So here is what I gave to them at this event...

This is my "YAY it's a movie!" (the event was held live in Long Beach, CA and then broadcasted live to many other movie theater locations across the United States and Canada) and "YAY! New catalog time!" gift.  I gave them this fun bag (Stampin' Up! sold these awhile ago and then they showed up on the Clearance Rack and I STOCKED UP! Love these things!) with a personalized tag with their initial on it.  Then inside has some treats, a "Wish Big" wish list book, and some highlighters.  Hope they liked these gifts and know how glad I am that they came!

Here is a pic of the inside...

(This was taken before I added the chocolate candy.  Forgot to put it in originally but don't worry...there was chocolate along with this stuff!)

And then here is the "Wish Big" wish list book...

Hope you enjoy!  If you have any questions on anything, please just let me know!  designwithink@gmail.com  Thank so much for visiting me!!!

Mosaic Happiness...

I LOVE the Mosaic Madness Bundle.  The stamp set and coordinating punch are SO MUCH FUN!  Have  a super quick card to share with you today that is using that bundle.  I paired that bundle with the Eastern Elegance Designer Series Paper.  (This is retiring so get it before it's gone! It has such fun patterns!)

Here is the card...

This is such a quick card to make.  And can I just say...the ruffle ribbon I used on this card is retiring...as well as all of the colors they offer this ribbon in.  And I AM SO SO SO SO SAD!  I LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff!  The Strawberry Slush and Coastal Cabana colors are already sold out (the one shown on this card is Coastal Cabana) and I'm bummed!  Was going to get more.  So don't wait!  Love it!

Here are some more views of the details...

I kept the stamping simple, cause the background is pretty busy and oh so pretty.  Love the Mosaic shape though and the bling on the rhinestones.  (If you have one accessory in your stash...I have to say that it should be rhinestones.  Just sayin'.  :)  )

I stamped the "happy together" sentiment in black and then quickly embossed with clear embossing powder.  That way it makes the sentiment pop more against the busy background.  Quick and easy and fun.  Love the color combo on this card too!  Coastal Cabana, Smoky Slate, Crushed Curry, and Whisper White...so fresh and fun!

Thanks for visiting!  Hope you enjoy!  Let me know if you have any questions! designwithink@gmail.com

Stampin' Up! Convention Is Coming!

Every July Stampin' Up! throws THE PARTY of the year!  It is our annual Convention and it is beyond amazing every year.  They have quite the events staff that puts these events on...and I love going every year!  (Last year was my first year missing since I became a demo...and that was because I was due with my 3rd child during convention!)

Anyway...this year I am applying to be a display stamper.  They always have an amazing section of display boards to inspire us.  Maybe this year some of my projects will be up there!  :)  So here are the projects I am submitting...

Thank You card...

Loving this color combo these days!  It's Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pool Party, and Crumb Cake.  So fresh and fun!

Oh Happy Day! card...

Loving the "Retro Fresh" stuff in the Occasions Catalog!  Those gold sequins are SO MUCH FUN!  I used them a few ways on this card.  I took a few off the strand to adhere around the card.  Then I also used them on the strand with my collection of ribbons.  And a little tip...if you noticed that Vanilla Baker's Twine...I just used the Silver Baker's Twine and removed the silver strand!  Now I have coordinating Very Vanilla twine!  Yay!

A "Pink Day" card...

This sentiment is one of my faves of all time!  (Yes...pink is my favorite color!)  And love using the negative space of our punches to create a fun effect.  Here is another view so you can see it better...

Sisters Scrapbook Page...

Loving this color combo!  Talk about bright and cheery...just like my girls!  These are some older pictures of my two oldest girls, but I love them so much I had to use them for this page!  Here are a few close-up's of some details...

There is a layer of Crystal Effects on the letters that I die-cut for the title.  Seriously LOVE doing this.  It gives such a fun 3D epoxy look.  I know it's hard to see.  But trust me...in real life it looks awesome!  And LOVE those Candy Dots!  They are such a fun way to bring a splatter of color to your projects!

Just look at all those fun hexagons up-close!

Now here are a few 3-D projects for you.  If you follow my blog you know I LOVE banners!  This is one I made for my brothers wedding coming up NEXT WEEK...

I used the Celebrations Banner Kit again...LOVE THIS KIT!!  And here is a close-up so you can see the details...

LOVE that ruffled ribbon!  And look at those doilies!  I know...you may be thinking...but aren't they usually white?!  Well...yes they are!  However...they are SO EASY to color.  I just pounced my Night of Navy ink pad all over the doily (make sure you have scratch paper underneath because it's obviously messy!) and then quickly put clear embossing powder over them.  Heat set it to melt the powder and you have this deliciously glossy colored doily.  I LOVE doing this!  And then once again...I used Crystal Effects on the letters.  Hard to tell...but love the look it gives in real life.  :)

Here are a few more pics so you can get a good view...

Going along with the "Banner" theme...here is another Banner Wreath.  I needed one in colors that matched my house...so here you go...

So fun, right?!  It's Coastal Cabana and Certainly Celery.  This actually hangs on the door in my kitchen that goes to the garage.  Really brightens up that area.  LOVE those flowers!  They are made with the Floral Frames Framelits....

So there you go!  LOTS of stamping projects for your viewing pleasure!  I hope you enjoy them!  Thanks for visiting!  Wish me luck!  I would so love to stamp some projects for the display boards this convention!

Beautiful Bouquet...

I love flowers.  Let it be known.  I love them.  I prefer bright and cheery colors in my bouquets, and Gerbera Daisies are my favorite.  (Ok...that really doesn't have much to do with this post...but now you know anyway.  :-) )

Sometimes though, I prefer giving paper bouquets of flowers instead of living flowers.  They obviously last longer, and don't need any maintenance!  Can't beat that sometimes.  So today I want to share with you a paper bouquet of flowers that I made...

Gotta say...this is definitely bright and cheery!  Now I have a little tip for you.  If you are looking for a fun color combo to try...just look at a pack of Designer Series Paper.  I wasn't sure what colors I wanted to use...but then I saw my Quatrefancy Specialty Designer Series Paper out.  That was a fun color combo...so I went with it!  You don't even need to use the Designer Series Paper (even though I used a small bit)...but it is a great starting place for color combinations.

Here are some more views of the bouquet...

And here are some pictures that show some up-close shots of how I put the flower together.  I just hot glued the wooden skewer onto the back of the flower.  Then glued a circle over that to cover up the ugly glue.  Easy, peasy!

Hope you enjoy this project!  Let me know if you have any questions!  Thanks so much for visiting!  And don't forget...

Get those orders in!  Ends tomorrow!  Email me with any questions or orders you would like me to place for you!  designwithink@gmail.com

Needed To Say Thanks!

I just have a quick gift package to show you today.  I made these for Easter for my daughter's teacher and bus driver.  Needed to take the opportunity to say thanks for taking such good care of my daughter while she is away from me!  So here is the gift bag...

I LOVE these bags!  In case you are wondering where I got them...they come in the Celebrations Basics Kit.  I LOVE this kit!  You can make darling banners with the kit...obviously.  I made one that I posted HERE.  But then you also get these cute treat bags!  Here is a picture of the whole kit...

Love it!  The neutral color makes it so easy to add whatever color you need for your occasion, and it's SO simple to use and put together.

Anyway...here are a few more shots of the bag...

The twine that is holding the bag closed is also from the kit.  And I just folded the flap over a little to the back, punched a few holes, and tied the twine through it.  Super easy.  The stamping was so easy as well!  I used the Mosaic Madness Bundle...which has the Mosaic Madness stamp set and coordinating punch.  So easy...just stamp your images, punch them out, and adhere to your project!

Maybe you are wondering what that Stawberry Slush doily is.  Well....it's the Paper Doilies that are in the catalog.  However...I embossed it with my Strawberry Slush ink pad and Clear Embossing Powder.  It is sooooo glossy and pretty in real life.  Here is a close-up...

I did this technique actually on another banner I made with this kit.  (I will share that soon.)  And am loving that you can easily make these doilies any color!

Hope you enjoy this project!  Oh...and in case you are wondering...inside the bag is just some fun Easter candy.  Let me know if you have any questions or need any of these supplies to make your own!  designwithink@gmail.com  Thank so much for visiting!

Sweet Treats Cups...Easter Style

Just wanted to share a quick project today.  It's a fun Easter Bunny treat...using the Sweet Treat Cups.

Here are the Sweet Treat Cups...

Item 116802  Price:  $2.95 for 12 cups

And here is what I did with the cups...

These are super quick and easy to make.  And would be so much fun for your Easter table.  Here are a few other views...

The tools I used were the 2 1/2" Circle Punch, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Boho Blossoms Punch, and Bitty Banner Framelits.  Then I also used the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set for the greeting.  And then I used the Large Pearls (for the bunny bottom) and just colored the Pearl with a pink permanent marker.

So fun and so easy!  And at $2.95 for 12 cups...SUPER affordable project!

Hope you enjoy!  Let me know if you have any questions.  designwithink@gmail.com

Betsy's Blossoms Thank You...

Who needs a card idea?!  How about a card idea use the "Betsy's Blossoms" stamp set?!  Well, that is great because I just so happen to have one for you today! :-) The one I am showing you is a Thank You card.  However...I used the stamp set "Teeny Tiny Wishes" for the greeting on this card.  This is a great stamp set because it is super easy to switch out your greeting and use any other greeting in that stamp set.  This card would be great for any occasion!  (I actually originally made this card as an "I'm sorry" card.  Then had to make another one cause I loved it so much.)

Here is the card...

Love the layers.  I used Glimmer Paper (Champagne), Burlap Ribbon, Baker's Twine, In Color Boutique Details embellishments (LOVE THESE!), Starburst Framelits (can't get enough of these!), Modern Label Punch, Pearls, Doilies, Cardstock, Designer Series Paper (Fresh Prints stack) and Stamps!  All on this one 4 1/4"x 5 1/2" card! :-)  Gotta love it!

This color combo is Baked Brown Sugar, Crumb Cake, Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana, and Whisper White.

Here are a few close-up shots...

And check out the stamp sets I used...

A Wreath of Banners...

Just when you thought I was all out of banners to show you...I HAVE MORE!  :)  Today we are taking Banners to another level....the circular level!  Yes...that's right...I have a wreath made from banners to share today!  (I guess you could probably tell that from the title of this post! :) )

Do you ever have a project in your head that you just can't stop thinking about until it is made?!  Well...that's how this project was for me.  I saw a wreath like this on Pinterest and kinda didn't give it much thought.  Until it WOULD NOT LEAVE MY MIND!  I seriously just kept picturing it.  So when I had a few minutes in my stamp room...I went to work.  Here is the wreath I made...

Now this was my first try with this type of wreath...was just kinda winging it to figure out how it would work best.  I'm pretty happy with how it came out.  I can't wait to make more now that I know a bit more what I'm doing.  I can think of lots of color combos/occasions that I will be making these for.  It didn't require a ton of supplies and I actually cut the wreath form from the chipboard sheets that are in the back of the Specialty Designer Series Paper packs.  Easy, peasy!

I bet you are asking, "Where is that Designer Series Paper from?"

Well...it's from a very under utilized pack of paper, in my opinion.  This pack has a few dominating patterns that I think people get caught up in.  It has one sheet of cameras and one of luggage, and I love them both!  But sometimes you don't need cameras and luggage on your projects.  Well it's double sided paper so just flip to the other side!  This pack of paper is called, "I Am Me."  Here is a look at the paper...

Polka Dots, Stripes, etc!  So much fun!  Here are some of the patterns that I used on the wreath, close-up...

Love them!

Now on to the flowers...they are made with the Floral Frames Framelits.  Here is an up-close shot...

Love all the layers.  I sponged the edges to make them pop a bit more and used buttons with some Baker's Twine in the middle for some more texture.  Also splattered a bit of Real Red ink on the Real Red flowers...

Now I know another thought...WHERE IS THAT RIBBON FROM?!?  Well...I will tell you...it's from THE CLEARANCE RACK!  I love this big thick ribbon for lots of home decor type things.  So when I saw this on there, I jumped at the chance to get some!  So head to my store... www.ashleyvancamp.stampinup.net to snag yourself some!  Here is a close-up shot...

I just took two piece of ribbon, held them together like they were one piece, and then just tied my bow.  Fluff it out and VOILA!  Too cute and fun!

And then finally...my new wreath on my front door...

It really pops against my door, I think!

I hope you enjoy this project!  Thanks so much for visiting! Bright and cheery for a bright and cheery season coming!  Let me know if you have any questions!  designwithink@gmail.com
