Dress Up Those Gifts!

It's fun to get a present, right?!  But how much MORE fun is it to get a cutely wrapped present?!  :-)  I had a meeting with my "Designers With Ink" stamping team the other day.  I wanted to give them a little Stampin' Up! goodie to say thanks for coming.  But I wasn't going to just hand them the goodie...it had to look cute, right?!?!? So here is what they got...

I took one of the Kraft "Tag A Bag Gift Bags" that are in the Annual catalog and dressed it up.  Cut a flower window (using the Flower Fair framelits) in the middle, added a window sheet and some stamping and fun embellishments.  And VOILA!  A fun package.  So quick and easy.

Here are some close-up's...

Look at that fun stamping!  The flowers are from the "Flower Patch" stamp set.  Also added some splattering with my Soft Suede marker.

One of my FAVE things is this Clothespin.  I just took one of the clothespins that Stampin' Up! sells in the Annual catalog...and added some Washi Tape.  SO QUICK and easy!  And OH SO CUTE!  Love this!!!  Then just tied a bow and clipped some sequins to the bag with it.

Then just added a little washi under the greeting (from the "All Boxed Up" stamp set) and used the Washi Label punch to punch out the greeting.

These were so quick and fun to do.  And how could they not brighten someone's day?!  Hope you enjoy this packaging!  Thanks for visiting!!! Let me know if you have any questions! designwithink@gmail.com

Sometimes a product is so popular that there are backorders.  Then sometimes a product is even more popular and actually SELLS OUT less than a month after it was released!  That is what has happened with this Witching Decor Kit.  And yes!  This is one of the projects I am offering at my Crazy For Crafting Day on October 10th.  SOOOOO...good news is that I do have some kits available still that I already ordered.  BUT....I only have what I have.  Once they are claimed, they are gone.  I can't order any more, sadly.  So....if this fabulous project is one you want to make...let me know ASAP.  Reminder of the project...

Stamping Supplies For Cake Decorating? Why Yes! Please!

It is my Dad's birthday today!  YAY!  I love this man...he is one incredible person!  He deserves something special on his big day, so I had my friend that bakes delicious cakes make him one.  But I told her to leave the top plain because I wanted to add my touch.  :-)  So here you go...how to turn some stamping supplies into a fun cake top!

My Dad LOVES the wilderness...camping, hiking, hunting, etc.  So I went with that theme for the cake...

So. Much. Fun!  (At least I think so.)  I should also warn you...the stamp set I used is retired.  And has been for a long time.  :-)  But I won't get rid of it cause I LOVE these images!  It is called "Pines," in case you were wondering.

The top bunting part is using a variety of papers:  The black stripe is from the Neutrals Paper Stack, the Bermuda Bay is from the Bohemian pack, then there is some Vellum from the Winter Wonderland Vellum pack from the Holiday catalog adhered to Basic Black cardstock, and then the Soft Suede cardstock is just embossed with the Woodgrain folder. I LOVE how it turned out!

Then I just stamped the images from the "Pines" stamp set (again...sorry this isn't available!  But you can do this same thing with any images that fit your theme), cut them out, and adhered them to toothpicks or wooden skewers (depending on if you need them to stick up out of the cake or not).  Then just stick it all into the cake where desired...

The "happy birthday" greeting is actually from the "Tin of Cards" stamp set.  This set is designed to go with the Tin of Cards project kit.  LOVE this kit, but LOVE the stamp set just as much!  It's great to use on any projects!  Then I layered the "happy birthday" greeting onto a Starburst (cut from a set of framelits that is retired, sadly) with a banner embossed with the Woodgrain embossing folder.  Then layered all of that onto a layer cut with the "Lots of Labels" framelits set that is in the annual catalog.

And here is the cute birthday boy with his cake...he even matches his cake!  :-)

I really love it and think it turned out so fun!  I will definitely be doing this again!  It was a ton of fun!

Hope you enjoy!  Let me know if you have any questions on anything!  designwithink@gmail.com  Thanks for visiting!!!

You've Got This...With a Little Gold Splatter...

I love the stamp set "You've Got This" from the Annual Catalog.  The large flower is a fun focal point for any project.  Today, I'm sharing a quick card I made using this flower.  Also...I tried a fun technique on this card as well.  Here is the card...

I used the Bohemian Designer Series Paper on the bottom of the card with some BEAUTIFUL Gold Satin Ribbon.  This is some YUMMY ribbon!  Such amazing quality!

But look at this fun element on the card...

I LOVE the look of ink splatter on a card.  Adds so much fun to projects.  What could be better than ink splatter?!  How about GOLD GLITTER splatter?!?!  Yeah...serious fun.  We saw this technique at Stampin' Up!'s convention.

HOW TO DO IT: take some of the Multi-purpose Liquid Glue (the "green" glue, I call it because it has a green lid) and put a little on a plastic surface of some kind (an empty embellishment container for example).  Then use a Aqua Painter to squeeze a little water into the glue, mix it up with the Aqua Painter so you have some glue on the brush part, and then just hold your finger over your project, and tap the Aqua Painter on your finger so the glue splatters onto the card.  Then just pour your glitter over the glue mix, dump the extra glitter back into its container, and let dry.  It's a quick and easy way to get Gold Glitter splatter!  LOVE! LOVE!

I also made this card 4" wide.  I wanted the little accent strip a little longer on the card, but still want it to fit in the envelope.  So by making the card 4", I can make the cardstock strip 4 1/4", and it will all still fit in an envelope.

Here is one more view of the card...

Hope you enjoy this card!  Thanks for visiting!  Let me know if you have any questions! designwithink@gmail.com.

September Club Night!...Candy Treat Bag...

It was club this week!  Yay!  Love my club nights!  A treat we made at club tonight was copied from a project shown at convention this year.  The second that I saw it...I knew I wanted to recreate it.  I changed a few minor things, and here is the treat bag we made...

How did we make this bag, you may be asking?!  Well...these are the Sketched Dots gift bags that are in the Annual Catalog.  SOOOOO cute and fun to use!  We made a little adjustment to the bottom of the bag, that they showed us at Convention.  And we colored them with ink pads to make the candy corn design.  Look at it before the embellishments are added...

Soooooo cute!!!!  You just mask off the portion you don't want colored, pounce an ink pad over it (Crushed Curry here), wipe off any extra ink with a tissue, then make the portion of yellow you want showing, and add the Tangelo Twist.  Easy, peasy!  Of course you could make the whole bag one color or do this in any color combo you need!

Here is a close-up of the embellishments...

Another little note to add (and a tip they shared at convention this year) is that it is SO EASY to change the color of the White Glitter Ribbon that is in the holiday catalog.  (It comes in a Gold & White bundle in the Holiday Catalog.)  Here is a pic of the ribbon, unaltered...

Beautiful and so glimmery as it is.  BUT...lay the white ribbon on your table with the Glitter side DOWN (so you are looking at the back of the ribbon) and use your Stampin' Write marker to color on the back.  It will then turn your ribbon any color you want!  SOOOOOO much fun!  I used Smoky Slate here and it gives it a silver look.  I have big plans to make it lots of other colors.  :-)

Thanks so much for visiting!!  Hope you enjoy!!  Let me know if you have any questions... designwithink@gmail.com.

Stampin' Up! Convention 2015 Memories...Still Going Strong!

Stampin' Up! Convention this past July was SO MUCH FUN!  It was just what the doctor ordered for me.  A big part of what made it so incredible were my amazing roomies.  Look at these crazy girls...

(Yes...this was very late at night, no make-up, almost bed time...so you get what you get! :-) I am the one in the middle.)

Well, one of my roomies is actually employed by Stampin' Up! as a concept artist.  And...SHE GAVE US PILLOW GIFTS EACH NIGHT!!! My heart burst!! Love. Her!  (I know...I was lucky!!!)  So I thought I would share them with you today!!!
