Oval Accent Notebook...

Still wanting to see ideas with the Oval Accent die?!  How about a NOTEBOOK?!  Because this is a Bigz Die...you can cut quite a few layers at once.  I believe I cut 6 sheets of Whisper White cardstock at once, for the pages of the notebook below.  Made it a MUCH quicker project.  Here is the notebook...

I made one like this before, and just remade this one with current supplies.  So much fun!  Here you can kinda see the notebook pages...

Now...in case you can't tell...the front and back covers are actually done with Window Sheets.  So I adhered the flower to the top layer, and the rest is under the window sheet.  It looks so much more polished and fun...

Project Supplies (all Stampin' Up!)

Project Colors: Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive
Stamp Set:  Feel Goods, Daydream Medallion
Accessories: Clear Oval Accent Bigz Die with Big Shot, Oval Framelits with Big Shot, White Embossing Powder, Sweet Taffy Designer Series Paper, Window Sheets, 1 3/4" Scallop Punch, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, Assorted ribbons

I love these flowers...

They are SO MUCH FUN TO MAKE! And quick...and easy.  I've shared these before.  But basically I punched out 6 scallops and just stacked them all on top of each other.  Set a brad in the middle, securing all the scallops together.  Then just spritz the top scallop layer with rubbing alcohol and scrunch it up.  Spritz the next layer and scrunch that layer up.  Continue on and it will get more full with each layer.  Then just let it dry and you have this fun flower!  As I always say...AMAZING what you can do with paper!  Too much fun to manipulate!

Tagging with the Oval Accent Die!

Still sharing samples with the Oval Accent Die!  Don't you just LOVE the shape of this die?!?  It is a great accent or great on its own.  Today I am sharing a fun Christmas tag I made with it...

Can you just picture these on your packages this year?!  Who wouldn't love to receive this?  My thought with this as well...the lucky recipient can then hang it on their tree as an ornament!  So beautiful tag turned into a beautiful ornament!  Win-win!

Project Supplies (all Stampin' Up!)

Project Colors: Soft Suede, Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black
Stamp Set:  Mingle All the Way
Accessories: Clear Oval Accent Bigz Die and Lucky Stars Embossing Folder with Big Shot, 1/2" Circle Punch, 1/16" Hole Punch, 2 3/8" Scallop Punch, 2" Circle Punch, Star Punch (from Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack), Early Espresso Bakers Twine, Typeset Speciality Designer Series Paper, Champagne Glimmer Paper, Regals Backgrounds Designer Series Paper Pack

Want to see some details up-close?

I used the 1/2" Circle punch to make a hole reinforcer.  Just adhered the circled to the tag where I wanted it, then punched the 1/16" hole for my twine through the circle and the tag.  Easy peasy.  I say this all the time...but it's all about the tiny details that make a project, in my opinion.  :-)

I used the Typeset Speciality paper (LOVE this stuff...it's thin like book pages.  SO easy and fun to use!  And coordinates with everything!  I have been using quite a bit of it these days) to make a little rosette flower.  I think it adds so much pop!  And those stars punched from the Glimmer paper...well I wouldn't even get me started on how much I LOVE Glimmer paper!!!!  It adds SO MUCH to any project...a little goes a long way!

Hope you enjoy this project!  More importantly...I hope it inspires you in some way in your crafting!  Thanks for visiting!

Oval Accent Die--Scrapbook Style

I did a presentation at a demonstrator training a few weeks ago using the Oval Accent Die.  I LOVE this die.  It's a Bigz die...which means it can cut through all sorts of different materials, layers of cardstock, fabric, etc.  I created a few different samples using this die to show how versatile it is.  I had so much fun coming up with samples...want to see one of them?!

This is a scrapbook page I made using the die...

Have to admit...I really love this page.  I love the color combo (Bermuda Bay, Pistachio Pudding, Calypso Coral, Basic Gray, Whisper White), the photos, the layout, etc.  And those girls of mine are the highlight of the page...so of course I love it!  :-)

November Club Project...

I already shared the card we made at my monthly stamp night.  We also do a 3D project each month as well.  So I am sharing that project today! ...

We used the Gift Box Punch Board and made this 4"x4"x4" box.  So cute, right?!?

Project Supplies (all Stampin' Up!)

Project Colors: Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, Basic Black, Crumb Cake
Stamp Set:  Mingle All the Way, Holiday Invitation
Accessories: Under the Tree Specialty Designer Series Paper, Typeset Specialty Designer Series Paper, Gift Box Punch Board, 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch, Very Vintage Buttons, Gold Sequin Trim, Cherry Cobbler Twine, Cherry Cobbler 1" Ribbon, Scalloped Tag Topper Punch

Here is a better view of the tag...

We made this box using the "Under the Tree Specialty Designer Series Paper. This paper is SO MUCH FUN!  It's super thick...almost thicker than our regular cardstock.  Then one side is Kraft and then the other side is a color...either Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, or Garden Green.  Here is the box opened so you can see...

This box is a fun size.  And the Gift Box Punch Board makes so many fun sized boxes.  It's a fun tool for sure!

Thanks for visiting!  Hope you enjoy!!

November Club Card...

Last night was my monthly club night!  SO MUCH FUN!  As I say all the time...I love my club night!  Here is the card we made last night...

A few week ago I went to a Stampin' Up! group meeting.  We always swap at these meetings and this one was no exception.  :-)  (Swapping is where you make multiples of one card and then "swap" others for the cards they made.  It's a fun way to get lots of ideas when you just make one!)  I got a card similar to this card in that swap.  So that is where this card idea came from.  I changed the colors and added a couple things...but this card idea was my friend, Kathryn's.  So cute!

Project Supplies (all Stampin' Up!)

Project Colors: Lost Lagoon, Pear Pizzazz, Basic Gray
Stamp Set:  Bright and Beautiful
Accessories: Typeset Specialty Designer Series Paper,  Shimmery White cardstock, Silver Glimmer Paper, Lost Lagoon Silky Taffeta Ribbon, Silver Baker's Twine, Vintage Faceted Button, Stars Framelits and Big Shot, Basics Rhinestones

Here are a few other pictures of the details...

Thankful Banner...

Well I am sorry for my absence on my blog!  But we have been on a family vacation at Disneyland and the beach.  We were gone for more than a week, and had an absolute blast!  I don't like coming back from vacation, so last night I went to my stamp room to create something to make me feel a bit better.  :-)  So want to see what I made?!?!  Well here it is...

I need a fun banner for Thanksgiving time.  So figured that's what I would do!  (Although I really went down to clean my stamp room.  Haha.)  And here is another shot...banners are hard to get pics of I am realizing.  :-)

This banner was so much fun to make!  Here is a close-up...

Love that burlap ribbon!  And GUESS WHAT??!!?  The Burlap and Blooms Simply Created Wreath Kit is on the Clearance Rack!  And what comes with that?!  A roll of burlap ribbon!  You get a full roll of ribbon (plus the wreath, flowers, etc) for LESS than buying a roll of burlap ribbon in the catalog!  How fun is that?!?!  I added some of that on top of the banners.  Here is a close-up of just one letter...

This banner was so much fun to make!  The banner pieces (as well as the stencil I used to do the polka dots) is from the Simply Created Build a Banner.  LOVE this kit!

Hope you enjoy!  Let me know if you have any questions or need to order anything!  designwithink@gmail.com
