Rub-On Fun!

So I bought these little glass jars at IKEA awhile ago. I loved them, but haven't used them yet. Also...I LOVE Stampin' Up's new Rub-On's but haven't used those in awhile either. I decided to tackle both of these things...and came up with this. I only had about 15 mins to work on something so it's handy that this came together so fast. :) My camera is being funny and the other photos that I took of different views didn't turn out well. (My guess is user error! :) ) So you get this photo. :) But that scallop flower is on both sides and then there is a little flower in the middle. The front you can see says "Happy Days" and the back says "you make me happy." Then of course...my fave ribbon....taffeta...is tied around the lid the top it off. I wish I had pink M & M's to go in here (maybe I'll have to make a road trip to Vegas soon and go to the M&M factory!) so I had to use pink Starburst. Fun! Hope you enjoy!

Sorry it's been awhile since a new post! I've been out of town. So I decided I better post a good project when I got back. :) This is a 3x3 box I made with the "One Smart Cookie" and "Tart and Tangy" stamp sets. I LOVE LOVE LOVE these and will be SO SAD to see them go in June!!! As well as the Summer Picnic DSP, Poly-Twill ribbon, etc, etc! I made this project a bit ago, and am finally getting around to post it. The first pic is the box and then the second pic is the box with the 4 cards. The envelopes are still in the box, FYI. :) Anyway: hope you enjoy! It feels good to be back and I'm looking forward to some stamping time! :)

For my club girls...

Ok...one last Post-It...I promise! :) And I wasn't going to post this at all and leave it a mystery for my club gals. But since I'm going out of town and won't be able to post anything for a few days, I thought I better leave you with something fun. :) So here is one of the projects we will be making at our club on the 28th! I actually quite love this, so I hope you do too!

Happy Anniversary...

It's mine and my hubby's anniversary today. What fun! Although, we aren't really celebrating until Thursday/Friday. My littlest bro graduates from high school on Friday and so we are going a bit early and leaving my daughter with my parents and going away for a night. I'm excited, but realized that I didn't have his anniversary card made. Well, I made him that Tabletop Scrapbook with the Tie the Knot Simply Scrappin' Kit that I posted last week, so thought I better have a coordinating card. I don't know why I'm so off these days, this really isn't my best work. But...it's getting late and I still have to pack and we're leaving early morning tomorrow! So it is what it is. :) It's a 4-1/4" square card...FYI. And all the hearts and Happy Anniversary are embossed. So again, looks better in real life! :)

Birthday Invite...

My daughter's birthday is this Sunday, and we are doing her party on the 31st! And AHHHH! I haven't sent out invites yet! How bad am I?!! Anyway: I finally decided on an invite last night. Now I just have to get them all made. :) Thought I'd share what I'm doing though. I wanted to keep things simple. :) And I wish I loved this more....but it will hopefully grow on me. :) It's what I came up with and have to go with. (Is that bad?!) Hope you enjoy! All Supplies Stampin' Up!
Here is the cupcake up close and personal. I have to say, I love cupcakes. :) Maybe I'll make her a cupcake cake. Haven't thought that far yet.

Obsessed with Post-It's...

Who knew a small office item (well, two small office items) could provide so much fun?! I've been having a blast with just a few Post-It notepads and mini pens. Here are a few more I made. Again, not my fave...but enjoy anyway! :) One I did, with the intent to showcase chipboard (the one in the upper left corner). I wanted to show two different ways you can cover chipboard. The first is covered with Ruby Red Craft Ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. Then the middle smaller flower is covered with Designer Series Paper with the edges sanded and distressed. The then upper right hand corner one is using flower from Ginormous Flowers. I created a background on the Kraft with one of the flowers in that set and VersaMark. Then on the Whisper White, I stamped the 5 Petal Flower in Pretty in Pink and the leaf stamp in Certainly Celery. Then I used VersaMark and Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder and the 5 Petal Flower Stamp and Punch to make the middle flower.

Then here is an up close and personal pic of what I think my fave one is of these three. I think...anyway. :) It's using the big flower in the Ginormous Flowers set (I LOVE THAT SET!!!!) with the scallop punch (I think I use this every day of my life!) and then a saying from Lovely Labels stamp set. What do you think?

Pens for Post-Its

Ok...so I've become a bit obsessed making these Post-It's notebooks again. I've made them before (did them as a 3D Convention swap last year, etc, etc.), but not for awhile. I had seen a few around again, so started making them and now I can't stop. :) But some people have been asking where I got the mini pens. I couldn't remember...but just found some more. I found 12 for $4.00 at Staples. That was the cheapest I have found. They have a package of all black, and then a pack of colored. This is what they look like. Hope this helps enable some of you to make some! They are SO MUCH FUN!!! :)

By the way...I have pics of a few more of these things that I've made. They aren't my fave, but I'll post them anyway. :) Stay tuned....

"Just B" Bright!

I told my darling downline, Megan, that I would make a Post-It holder with the "Just B" set. I wasn't sure what colors I wanted to use, so I looked in my card stock drawer. I guess the warm and sunny weather has gotten to me, because I just felt like using the bright and sunny color family...Bold Brights!!! So I took out some Tempting Turquoise, Gable Green, and Pixie Pink and went to town! Does this work, Megan?

Gift Card holder

So this is a gift card holder that is SO CUTE! I got the idea off One Crazy Stampin' Mama's blog. She does such good work! I loved it, so I decided to make one with my fave....Summer Picnic Designer Series Paper. They are so much fun. Give it a whirl and make one yourself! :) Oh...you can see the pocket...I kinda made it tucker out a bit so you could tell. Where the "Celebrate" is...that's where you put the gift card inside. Color Inspiration #9

It's that time again! Time for Kristina's Color Challenge! Here is the inspiration:

Colors are:

Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise
What I decided to do was this:

These color are so fun and bright. So I wanted to showcase them all. So I embossed the flower in the Ginormous Flowers set that fits the 5 petal flower punch in Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder. Again...a lot more shine in real life. And I've been in this big embossing kick lately as well, so I embossed the "Celebrate You" phrase in Crystal Clear. The flowers are up on dimensionals as well, so it does have some fun dimension. But I thought this turned out fun. Enjoy! All Supplies Stampin' Up!

Stamps: Ginormous Flowers, Celebrate Everything

Card Stock: Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise

Ink: VersaMark, Real Red Craft

Accessories: Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder, Crystal Clear Embossing Powder, 5 Petal Flower Punch, 1 1/4" Square Punch, 1 3/8" Square Punch, Tempting Turquoise Brads

It's Spring Froggy Time!

I LOVE this froggy and he makes me feel like it's spring!! So since it's FINALLY been consistently warm like 2 days in a row here in Utah, I decided it's time to use him. He's just so cute. :) So I made a Post-It holder. I LOVE these things! They are so easy to make and they make it SO MUCH MORE FUN to write on a Post-It notepad! All supplies Stampin' UP! (except for the pen and post-it's)

Stamps: You're Unfrogettable

Ink: Basic Black, Regal Rose marker, Pretty in Pink marker, Always Artichoke maker

Anniversary 9 x 9 Tabletop Scrapbook

The next class my downline and I are doing is a 9x9 Tabletop Scrapbook. We made it at our training almost 2 weeks ago and I fell in love with it! Brandi...you're amazing! :) At this class, we want to have different samples available. Basically, you use 2 On Board Chipboard Book Basics Large, and 1/2 a Simply Scrappin' Kit (plus a few other card stock sheets and some ribbon). We are using the "Home Again" kit for our class, so I decided to make one with the "Tie the Knot" kit for a sample. I love the colors in this and wanted to see what I could come up with. Well...somewhere along the way...I decided I was going to make this for my husband for our anniversary that's coming up in ONE WEEK FROM TODAY! :) Ahhhhh...how precious. (Now just don't tell him what I'm doing please. I have to find some cute pictures of us throughout the years...this is going to be the challenge!) :) Anyway: so that's what this has now become. But aren't these so dang cute! They are so fun to make, once you figure out how it's all put together! :) Here it is:

2 Pocket Card By Patty!

Once again, PATTY has made a FABULOUS project!!! She is one talented lady. I changed mine, and used Summer Picnic Designer Series Paper with the Tart and Tangy set. I just can't get enough of this! I hope it makes it into the big catty, or it will be gone at the end of June! SO SAD!!!

Anyway: she made this 2 card holder with a latch closure, which I thought was so clever. I made mine into a 1 card holder (on the right) and then I think I'll put a gift card on the other side. (Ahhhh...that sounds like I am actually going to give this away! :) How can I?! :) ) Ok..maybe I will, one day! All supplies Stampin' Up!

Stamps: Tart and Tangy, Absolutely Fabulous

Card Stock: Old Olive, Real Red textured, Whisper White

Ink: Old Olive marker, Real Read marker, Old Olive Classic Ink, Basic Black Classic Ink

My Creation Space...

Some of you have asked to see my room. So...here you go! This has been a work in progress...getting everything organized. It's still in the "works" as well. :) But...my hubby and I (Yes...I have a fab husband that helps me organize! He does this even when it's not Mother's Day too! :) ) spent some time in here today. It's SO NOT exactly how I want it, but let's face it. It might be as clean as it's ever going to be right now. So here are pics. This is coming into my room. The next pic is my fabulous shelving from IKEA. Amazing how much you can fit in here! Then you have my desk space...from above. I usually stamp standing up so I got a counter top height table....which is FABULOUS! Then more storage and stamping space. Gotta love the IKEA rods above and I LOVE the storage in these cubes made into a desk! Then the multi colored drawers house some of my current stamps...the rest are in the closet. And yes...that is my bucket of scraps on top. I need some MAJOR organization there! Then my closet space...a bunch of stuff and a bunch of stamps. :) Gotta love it. So this is the place I spend my time creating! I know it's still a work in progress, but I love it and what we've done with it so far!!

Thanks You's Galore...

You want to see some thank you's...you got them! :) My friend wanted me to make her some sample ideas of thank you cards they could make to send to their clients. I hope she's ok with me posting them, but these are a few of them that I just sent to her. All Supplies Stampin' Up!

Chipboard Decor...

Since Chipboard is ON SALE this month with Stampin' Up, I have been looking through some chipboard projects I have. I found this one that we made at Stampin' Up!'s Leadership Conference. I LOVE this project. Put a picture of your family on it and you have a great home decor piece! So thought I would share, although some of you have probably seen this already. Good to be reminded about it, huh?! :) (It's using the On Board Book Basics Large, and then covered with a sheet of Designer Series Paper the decorated! Voila! :) ) All Supplies Stampin' Up!

Here is my creation:
This really does look better in real life. It's very shimmery. :) I embossed the Polka Dot background with Iridecent Ice embossing powder. So it has a nice shimmer. Then the flower is chipboard, covered in Pumpkin Pie Craft Ink and then the same Iridecent Ice embossing powder. So that's nice and shimmery too. Anyway: let me know if you have any questions! Enjoy! More Cards From the Fun...

Here are a few more cards we made from our Friday night card making party. Are they great! :) Hope you enjoy. Sorry for the bad lighting. I just took this at night, so don't have that natural sunlight to help me out! Looks like an Ott light could be on my shopping list! :) (It's a "natural sunlight" lamp...for those of you that were wondering.) All Supplies Stampin' Up!

Swap Card...

This was the swap card I made for our meeting on Saturday. I made this card before I designed the Mother's Day class. (Or a card similar to this.) Then I turned that card into the front cover for our Mother's Day stationary holder. Then I turned it back into a card. Added a few things (like the scallop under the Groovy Guava ribbon), and back into a card it goes! :) All supplies Stampin' Up!

Stamps: Live Your Dream
Card Stock: Chocolate Chip, Groovy Guava, Soft Sky, Whisper White
Ink: Groovy Guava, Old Olive marker, Soft Sky, Chocolate Chip

DARLING Project on Display...

This is something that was on display at our training this weekend. I would be SO HAPPY if I had this to look at every day! I LOVE IT! So I wanted to share. I just fell in love with this, and so of course had to share it with all of you! I WILL be figuring out how to make this because I HAVE to have one of my own! :) Enjoy!

My delivery today...

How fun are these boxes?! UPS man was busy at my house delivering today. :) (I couldn't even wait to take the picture before I opened a box. :) ) Anyone want to come play?

And then the inside of the boxes after I organized the boxes:
