Sneak Peak...

So I FINALLY got my pre-order stuff from Stampin' Up! today. Demo's are given a few items that they are allowed to pre-order to help get them ready for when the new catalog comes out. I stayed up until midnight, when they posted my list. I ended up ordering what I wanted by 2am. And they got so backed up with orders, that I just finally got it today! So YIPPEEEE! I'm so excited. I took some pictures of stuff I got, but I'm not sure I'm allowed to post them. Thinking about it...not sure I can just take a photo of a stamp set and publish it...since they are copyrighted by Stampin' Up. So...how about some In Colors? These are next year's In Colors. All the ones from this year are retiring, and these are the ones that will be around. I LOVE them! All computers look different, so they really are a must to see up close. They're great! There are fun things coming out. I'm excited to show more! I'm sure a lot of you have heard about the scallop edge punch...and OH MY GOODNESS! It's amazing! We actually used it at a class tonight and it went so much faster! It was amazing! Love it!!! So look out for some new, fun, Stampin' Up stuff coming!!!

The First Stage....

Ok...so I ordered a few decor elements to try out. I just had to see if I loved them in person as much as I did in the brochure. Let me say, I LOVE THEM!!! They are such a quick and easy way to spruce up a space on your wall you just weren't sure what to do with. AND...if I change my mind and want something else there...I can remove it and there are no holes in the wall to patch up! Love it! So I wanted to share a pic of what I put up. It's the "Live every moment" and I put it above my front door.
Thoughts? My husband and I love it. And funny story. After I hung it up...my husband says, "Well, there's the first stage of Stampin' Up! now taking over our whole house." I laughed and then he says, "Wait a minute...I guess that's already started happening." (Because yes...sometimes my stamping stuff wanders out into the rest of our house as I'm prepping for classes, club, other events...what can you do?! :) ) At least he's supportive, huh?! :)

Hanging Photo Frames...

Here are a few more hanging photo frames that I made for the Farmer's Market. They are pretty fun to make and would be even more fun to hang. I know, I know! I still can't put that tart and tangy set down! :)

Altered Notebooks...

Yesterday was our 2nd time doing the huge Farmer's Market in Salt Lake City. Here are some altered notebooks I made to sell:

Here's an upclose photo of the bottom of this journal. I just wanted to show how fun this technique is. I just punched out circles in the same color of card stock and adhered them on. Just gives an almost embossed look and I love it. :)

Arte y Pico award!!

Thanks Karen! Karen gave me the Arte y Pico award! How nice is she! Thanks Karen! (Her Color Inspiration #14 submission to Kristina's blog was just picked in the Top 10 as well! So go check it out!)

I would like to pass this award on to:

Decor With Pretties...

I found these frames at WalMart, and fell in love right away. I could totally see a flower from the Pretties Kit or something else cute in each 3x3 cutout. So I bought one to try it out. This is what I came up with. Thoughts? I kinda like it. I think I need to do a pink and brown one for my stamp room. FYI...I colored the flowers with a sponge dauber and the ink pad.
Stamps: Full of Life
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Rose Red marker, Garden Green marker
Card Stock: Whisper White
Accessories: Pretties Kit, Prints Pack

Hanging Photo Frame...

We are doing the Farmer's Market again on Saturday, and so I've been busy making more projects for that. This is a hanging photo frame (not sure what else to call it...anyone have a better name?! :) ) that I made using the On Board Small Book Basics Chipboard. I KNOW....this stamp set/paper is retired now. But....I'm using it and doing my part to try to make sure it makes this next catalog or the next Spring/Summer one. :) So enjoy! By the way...the "Summer Days" and the "A perfect day for family, friends, and fun" sayings are from the Perfect Day rub-ons set.

Stamps: Tart and Tangy
Card Stock: Real Red, Old Olive, Bashful Blue, Whisper White
Ink: Real Red and Old Olive Stampin' Write markers
Accessories: Summer Picnic DSP, Scallop Punch, Circle Punches, Perfect Day Rub-Ons

Color Inspiration #14

It's time for Kristina's color challenge again! These are really fun to try out! Try them if you don't already! :) Although I do have to say...I'm disappointed how this one was photographed. To answer the question I'm sure you're dying to ask...that is a row of brads under the main image. Yes...all of those are black brads. We're suppose to do something bold, right?! :) Well....I've been wanting to do this for awhile, and it just seemed to fit this card and seemed a bit bold. However...whatever card you put that many black brads on, you want to be fabulous, right?! Well, I really do like this card, but IN PERSON. It's just not that fabulous with how it came out in the photo. I'm so sorry! If anyone wants to come over and see it, feel free. :) So anyway: here's my attempt. Sorry it doesn't look that great here! But I do love this stamp set. I've had it for a few months, but just ended up mounting it last night. So of course I had to use it! And I loved the embossed look with this flower and then adding dimension by cutting out different parts and putting them up on dimensionals. ENJOY!
Stamps: Fabulous Flowers
Ink: VersaMark
Card Stock: Basic Gray, Basic Black, Ruby Red, Whisper White
Accessories: Black Brads, Pewter Brad, Black Embossing Powder, White Embossing Powder, tool kit

Bitty Birthday...

I love the "Bitty Birthday" stamp set. It's so great and so much fun to use...especially if you like coloring in your images. I just used markers here but you could easily use watercolor pencils, watercolor crayons, or whatever your favorite coloring medium is. ***FUN TIP: Stampin' Up doesn't have markers for the In Colors. So...I took a top of one of my empty brad containers, put a drop of Wild Wasabi ink in it from the reinker. I just used my blender pen, dipped it in the ink drop, and colored away. Looks just like a marker because you get a heavy concentration of ink from the ink drop. So I solved my problem. It was easy to do, and I love how deep the color was on it. And I have to use my Wild Wasabi color as much as possible before it's GONE! (So sad....I love these In Colors.....however....I am SO EXCITED about the new ones as well. They are GREAT!!)

Stamps: Bitty Birthday
Card Stock: Pumpkin Pie, Brilliant Blue, Whisper White, Bashful Blue
Ink: Basic Black, Bashful Blue marker, Pumpkin Pie Marker, Brilliant Blue marker, Wild Wasabi re-inker
Accessories: Jersey Shore Designer Series Paper, Word Window Punch, 1 3/8" Square Punch, Wild Wasabi Double Stitched ribbon, Brilliant Blue brads, tool kit, blender pen
