Fancy Core Colors Magic:

Have you been following along with our Stampin' Fancy Friday Challenge this month?!  I hope so...because it is one of my favorite type of challenges!  It is a Color Challenge!!!  Specifically it is a Core Colors Challenge!  This means you choose one color from each of the Stampin' Up! Color Collections and make a project with it! I love this take on a color challenge!  If you have played along, I want to see what you made!  And I am excited to share what I made!  I LOVE how magical colors can be.  Coastal Cabana is one of my VERY favorite colors.  It can be such a bright blue with paired with brighter colors.  However, when paired with more muted colors like on the card below, its shows its more subtle side!  The colors I used for this card are: Crumb Cake, Petal Pink, Crushed Curry, & Coastal Cabana.

SUPPLIES:  (all items are available in my STORE!)

Colors: Crumb Cake, Coastal Cabana, Petal Pink, Crushed Curry

Inks:  Coastal Cabana, Petal Pink, Crushed Curry, VersaMark

Cardstock/Papers:  Crumb Cake, Shimmery White, Basic Black, Vellum

Stamps: Rooted In Nature, Well Said

Tools: Nature's Roots Dies, Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder Forever Flourishing Dies, Heat Tool, Water Painters

AccessoriesWhale of a Time Sequins, Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack, White Stampin' Emboss Powder, Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder

Here is a bit of an up close pictures of the colors together.  I love them!

Also...a fave detail on this card is that embossed gold splatter!  I simply mixed a bit of VersaMark reinker with a little bit of water.  The used a Water Painter to splatter the mixture on my card.  Added Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat set.  Voila!  Magical gold embossed splatter.  😍

I hope you enjoy this card!  I LOVED making this one!  Let me know if you have any questions on anything! One more quick view of the full card:

Thank you so much for visiting!  I hope you play along and I can't wait to see what you make!

Some Textured Sponged Sunshine...

I guess it's winter, huh?!  So my cards seem to be inspired by me needing sunshine.  😂  I shared a sponged sunset last time.  Today I am sharing a simple sponged sun...with texture this time!

SUPPLIES:  (all items are available in my STORE!)

Colors: Gray Granite, Whisper White, Coastal Cabana, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight
Inks:  Daffodil Delight, Coastal Cabana, Memento Black, BLENDS MARKERS:  Light & Dark Pool Party, Light & Dark Flirty Flamingo
Cardstock/Papers:  Gray Granite, Whisper White, Vellum Cardstock (to make circle mask), Brights 6"x6" Designer Series Paper
Stamps: Pretty Parasol
Tools: Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch, Umbrella Builder Punch, Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder, Layering Circles Dies, Sponges
AccessoriesWoven Threads Sequins Assortment, Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack (white thread)

This was super simple to do.  Just used a circle mask (cut a circle from a piece of Vellum cardstock...making sure there is extra vellum around the whole circle to protect the cardstock you are sponging on) to sponge a sun where I wanted it on the cardstock.  Then emboss it with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder and add whatever other details you want!  I colored this umbrella with Stampin' Blends makers.

And I just totally love this fun texture!

I also loved this sponged greeting.  I like how you can easily get an ombre look.  (I also have a fun trick to punch a smaller postage stamp.  See the photo below!)

Here is how I made a smaller postage stamp.  I first punched out the greeting, lining up the bottom of the stamp with the bottom of the punch.  So it had extra on top.  Then, I grabbed a Post-It, stuck it to that, and used that to guide the punched greeting back into the punch.  I then lined up the edges, and punched off the excess.  Voila!  A smaller postage stamp!

I hope you enjoy this card!  Please let me know if you have any questions on anything!  I would love to help you with any of your papercrafting needs!

A Topical Friend Like You ...

Palm trees & a beautiful sunset...what more do you need?!  How about one you can look at ... OR MAKE YOURSELF ... year round! Which one is your favorite?!

SUPPLIES:  (all items are available in my STORE!)

Colors: Basic Black, Bermuda Bay, Misty Moonlight, Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, Magenta Madness, Whisper White, Gold
Inks:  Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, Magenta Madness, Coastal Cabana, VersaMark, Memento Black
Cardstock/Papers:  Basic Black, Bermuda Bay, Misty Moonlight, Mango Melody, Whisper White, Vellum Cardstock (to make circle mask)
Stamps: Friend Like You
Tools: Stitched So Sweetly Dies, Layering Circles Dies, Old World Paper Embossing Folder, Heat Tool, Sponges
AccessoriesWhite Stampin' Emboss Powder, Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder, Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder, Whale of a Time Sequins, Linen Thread

One I stamped in black & then embossed with Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder.  The other one I embossed with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder.  But both are sponged the same.

This version has a Misty Moonlinght card base:

I cut out a mask using a circle die and vellum cardstock, put it onto the Whisper White cardstock, put a Post-It on the bottom for a straight edge, and then sponged.  I sponged Daffodil Delight on the bottom, then Mango Melody, and finally a little Magenta Madness.  I stamped the waves on the bottom and then sponged some Coastal Cabana over it.  I have to admit....I pretty much really love these cards.  Here is the sponging up close...I just love the blending:

This gold embossed card, I decided to use Bermuda Bay as the card base.  But most everything else is the same.

So what version is your favorite?!  Are you going to make one?  Let me know if you do!  Thanks so much for visiting!  Please let me know if you have any questions!

Truly Thankful...TGIF Challenge 291:

Wow.  I have been SILENT!  I am SOOOOO sorry.  Can I just say...What. A. Year.  Anyone else feeling it?!  😉  Of course, we all are.  I am sorry for my silence because I have missed this!  So I am back!!!  With a fun challenge!  Because I LOVE being on the TGIF Challenge Design Team and I LOVE how a challenge can inspire you when you need a little direction.  This challenge is all about being thankful, so of course a Thank You card totally fits the bill!

SUPPLIES:  (all items are available in my STORE!)

Colors: Soft Sea Foam, Flirty Flamingo, Whisper White, Gold
Inks:  VersaMark
Cardstock/Papers:  Soft Sea Foam, Whisper White, Subtles 6"x6" Designer Series Paper
Stamps: Best Year
Tools: Sweet Silhouette Dies, Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder, Heat Tool, Bone Folder
AccessoriesGold Stampin' Emboss Powder, Gold Glitter Enamel Dots, Linen Thread, Gold 3/8" Metallic Edge Ribbon

I kept it soft and subtle for this card!  A die cut, a greeting, some texture...what else do you need?!  😁

I love distressing the corners like this to add some fun texture.  You curl it with a Bone Folder to break up the fibers of the cardstock.  Then separate the layers!  So cute, right?!

I love the pop of color this greeting adds.  I embossed it in gold onto Whisper White cardstock.  Then I just sponged some Flirty Flamingo ink on it to add a subtle, but layered, pop of color.  💕

I hope you enjoy this card and come play along this week for our challenge!  Simply make a card, post it, and then share it with us on the TGIF Challenge blog!  It is easy and so much fun!  Can't wait to see what you make!

Thank you so much for visiting!  I hope you enjoy!  Please let me know if you have any questions!
