Dashing Deer Meets Santa's Bags...

Christmas is over, but I just realized I didn't share this!  Better late than never, right?!  😀  You could easily do something similar and just change it out for a birthday or wedding or whatever occasion you need a little gift for.

I made these little bags for Christmas for my club gals.  I kinda fell in love with them.  😀  In these Santa's Bags are the supplies to make Shimmer Spray: Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint & Stampin' Spritzers.  I thought it was fun, because who doesn't need shimmer spray?!  Hee.

ColorsGarden Green, Cherry Cobbler, Gold
Inks:  Whisper White Craft Ink
Cardstock/Papers Basic Black, Gold Glimmer Paper, Dashing Along Designer Series Paper
Stamps: Dashing Deer
Tools: Big Shot, Dashing Deer, Heat Tool
Accessories: Festive Farmhouse Cotton Twine, Gold Faceted Gems, Whisper White Embossing Powder

That little hand in the photo above belongs to my cute helper:

I love that face so very much.  She's my baby, and she's in afternoon Kindergarten this year.  So we have our mornings together.  I will miss my little helper when she starts full day school next year.  Kinda breaking my heart.  I will soak up what time I have left with her--and probably cry a lot when the school year starts.

Back to the project, here are a few more pictures:

I hope you enjoy this project!  Let me know if you have any questions!  Thank you so much for visiting!!

TGIF Challenge 191...Let's Get A Little Christmas Crazy!!!

Is anyone out there all done with their Christmas prep?!  I am sure there are some of you out there, but this gal is NOT one of them!  Oh how I wish I was!  But...I am going to be pulling some long hours to get it all done this year!  Haha.  'Tis the season!!!!  This weeks TGIF Challenge is here to HELP!!!  It's all about Christmas!!  First up, here is my project:

ColorsMossy Meadow, Cherry Cobbler, Smoky Slate
Inks:  Smoky Slate, Memento Black
Cardstock/Papers Smoky Slate, Mossy Meadow, Cherry Cobbler, Shimmery White, Vellum, Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper
Stamps: Farmhouse Christmas
Tools: Big Shot, Farmhouse Framelits, Stitched Shapes Framelits
Accessories: Festive Farmhouse Cotton Twine, Festive Farmhouse Elements, Mini Pizza Box

And the challenge:

Isn't this challenge PERFECT for right now?!  Just a few more days until Christmas!  So yay for some last minute crunch time inspiration!  😀 I love this card box because who wouldn't need some 3"x3" cards for this time of year?!  They are the perfect size to include with any gift you are giving.

And they look so cute all packaged up in their little box...

Then the receiver could even use all the cards and then re-use the box for a gift they are giving!  Because HOW CUTE is this?!!??

***Note:  Sadly...the Farmhouse Elements I used here are all sold out.  I had some I had already gotten before they sold out to use.  But there are lots of thinlits/die-cuts/stamps/embellishments you could replace for the elements that I used.

What do you think?  What are you going to make for this challenge!?!  We can't wait to see!  Head over to the CHALLENGE BLOG to play along!  Can't wait to see what you do!!!!

Sprig Punch to Christmas Wreath...

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Sprig Punch in the Holiday Catalog!  It's a hot one!  I use it ALL the time...often times for a fun little sprig behind focal points/sentiments.  However...for this project...it's the star of the show!  We made this home decor piece at club last week and I'm totally in love...

Colors: Old Olive, Gold, Basic Black
Inks:  Whisper White Craft Ink
Cardstock/Papers Old Olive, Basic Black, Gold Foil Sheets
Stamps: Merry Christmas to All
Tools: Big Shot, Merry Christmas Thinlits, Classic Label Punch, Sprig Punch
Accessories: Champagne Shimmer Mist Paint, Gold 3/8" Metallic Edged Ribbon, Gold 1/8" Cord, Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels

What do you think?!  Are you in love with the Sprig Punch now?!  😀  Just look how fun it looks...

And yes!  The whole thing is spritzed with Glimmer Spray!  (Made with the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint)

(Hard to photograph--but so shimmery in real life!!!)

We did the ribbon with the loop hanging over the canvas so you could use this to hang it on a wall if you wanted.  Or it also could be hung as a large ornament on your tree, set on an easel, or wherever you need a little Christmas magic hanging out.  😀

I just love this guy, and I hope you do also!

Please let me know if you have any questions!!!!  Are you all ready for Christmas yet?!  (I'm not!!! 😀)

Christmas Greetings!

I can't believe Christmas is almost here.  Seriously...it is coming SO FAST!  Yikes!  Just wanted to share a fun layered card today:

ColorsCherry Cobbler, Garden Green, Soft Sea Foam, Whisper White
Cardstock/Papers Whisper White, Soft Sea Foam, Cherry Cobbler, Gold Glimmer Paper, Dashing Along Designer Series Paper
Stamps: Ready for Christmas, Nothing Sweeter (greeting)
Tools: Big Shot,Christmas Staircase Thinlits, Softly Falling Embossing Folder, Heat Tool, Take Your Pick Tool
Accessories: Linen Thread, Red Rhinestone Basics, Whisper White Embossing Powder

This really is a simple card to put together.  Just a few layered pieces for the background...the top one is embossed...and then the stamped tree.  Those red rhinestones are the perfect touch...and I put them on with the new Take Your Pick tool.  Oh! MAN!  Game changer.  Love that little tool!  (Let me know if you don't know what I'm talking about!  Because it's amazing!  You will want to know about it.  Hee.)

What are you still working on for the holidays?!  I'm totally behind...so I will be working until the end most likely.  😀

Thanks so much for visiting!  Please let me know if you have any questions!  Would love to help!

Happy Colors...Happy Card:

I love a bright color combo.  The paper from the "Best Route" pack gave me such a fun color combo for this card:

ColorsMango Melody, Pineapple Punch, Night of Navy, Gray Granite, Whisper White, Basic Black
Cardstock/Papers Gray Granite, Whisper White, Basic Black, Mango Melody, Pineapple Punch, Best Route Designer Series Paper
Stamps: Friendly Expressions, Birthday Banners, En Route
Tools: Big Shot,Stitched Shapes Framelits, Bunch of Banners Framelits, Corrugated Embossing Folder, RETIRED Star Die-Cut
Accessories: Silver Thread, Best Route Enamel Shapes

I probably never would of put these colors together for whatever reason.  But I love them!  Mango Melody and Pineapple Punch with a splotch of Night of Navy?!  LOVE IT!  Would be a fun color combo for a kids room, playroom, or any room!  (Do you ever think that way...does paper crafting ever give you ideas for home decor?!  It does for me...like ALL the time!)

Love all the fun layers to this card.  Although it is a fairly simple card to make...it does have a lot of details...wrapped thread, embossing, die-cutting, fussy-cutting, etc.

Just have to focus on the sentiment for a second.  The stamp set for the sentiment...Friendly Expressions...is seriously amazing.  I LOVE the mix of fonts!  It's so cute to stamp how it comes, or to cut apart as I did here.  This is a fairly new stamp set that I bought...but I know I will be using it a ton.  Check out all the greetings that come in the set:

So much fun...huh?!  Oh!  I stamped a quick little element inside the card also:

I need to do that more...remember the inside of the cards.  Do you do anything on the inside of yours or just save the space for writing?!

Does this card happen to look familiar?!  It actually is the same layout as my club card for November!  Check it out HERE.  I love a good card layout that you can use over and over again!  Never forget that you can take an idea you love and switch it up to make it new again!

One last look at the card for today:

This card has already been delivered to the person it was made for.  I am on a mission to make and DELIVER (either in person or by mail!) many more cards this upcoming year!  I LOVE receiving them...so I want to spread that cheer!  Who also has this as a goal?!

Thanks SO MUCH for visiting!  Please let me know if you have any questions!

30th Anniversary Means Gifts! ...

Since the Stampin' Up! convention I went to in November was for their 30th Anniversary...I wanted to do some fun 30th gifts!  And it all starts with the packaging, right?!  So here is the packaging I put the gifts in:

Colors: Melon Mambo, Petal Pink, Whisper White, Tranquil Tide
Cardstock/Papers Petal Pink, Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Frosted Floral Designer Series Paper
Stamps: None!
Tools: Big Shot,Stitched Shapes Framelits, Swirls & Curls Embossing Folder, Classic Label Punch, Large Numbers Framelits (retired), Banner Triple Punch
Accessories: Whisper White 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon, Copper Tea Tins

I LOVE these Copper Tea Tins that are in the Annual Catalog.  They are such a fun size (almost 4" tall) and are so fun to decorate.

And can we talk about the Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon?!  I LOVE this stuff!!

I plan on making some of these for Christmas gifts.  So stay tuned for a Christmas version.  😀

On Stage Swapping...With Butterflies Galore!

Yes, I still have lots to share from the On Stage event that I went to earlier this month.  (On Stage is Stampin' Up's convention.  This year was the 30th anniversary celebration.)  Today I want to share one of the swap projects I did.  This swap was with my TGIF Design Team.  I LOVE these girls!   We did a 3D item swap this time.  I need to share all the swaps I received...because they are so beautiful!  Today I am just sharing the swap I made.  If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram...you saw this sneak peek photo I posted before I went to On Stage:

(And if you don't follow me...you should!  :-)  Instagram is @designwithink and Facebook is just Design With Ink.)  Isn't that pile of beautiful Melon Mambo butterflies just so much fun?!  I love them!

Well...it's about time I show the final project!   Here it is:

Colors: Coastal Cabana, Melon Mambo, Mango Melody, Lemon Lime Twist
Cardstock/Papers Lemon Lime Twist, Melon Mambo, Basic Black, Watercolor Paper, Tea Room Specialty Designer Series Paper
Stamps: Detailed With Love, Banners For You
Tools: Big Shot, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Springtime Impressions Thinlits, Bunch of Banners Framelits, Heat Tool
Accessories: Linen Thread, Whisper White Embossing Powder, Brusho Crystal Color, Metallic Pearls, Gold Library Clips, Striped Treat Bags

I truly love this bag!  The stitched circle part is kinda my fave:

The watercolor wash is done with Brusho.  Those magic crystals are captivating. So much fun to use!!!  Here are just a few more up-close pics of the details:

What do you think?!  Want to make one yourself?!  You should!

Look at how fun they are all piled together:

TGIF Challenge 187...Double Sponging:

It's time for another fun TGIF challenge!!!  Who is ready?!  If you have never participated before, you should!  Every Friday we have a challenge and you just make a project inspired by the challenge and post it on our TGIF Challenge blog.  It's a lot of fun!  Here is the card I made for today's challenge:

Colors: Crumb Cake, Berry Burst, Pool Party, Basic Black
Cardstock/Papers Crumb Cake, Berry Burst, Pool Party, Basic Black, Vellum
Stamps: Warm Hearted (Hostess Stamp Set), Buffalo Check
Tools: Big Shot,Stitched Shapes Framelits, Swirls & Curls Embossing Folder, Sprig Punch, Heat Tool
Accessories: Linen Thread, Whisper White Embossing Powder, Gold Shimmer Paint

Any guesses on what the challenge is?!  😀  Hint...it is technique time:

I love sponging!  So much fun!  Can you spot the TWO ways that I sponged on the card above?!  Yes...I am an overachiever.  Hee.

In case you didn't spot them...I will tell you.  😀  First up is the embossed piece.  I embossed a piece of Berry Burst cardstock first:

This is great just as is, and I love the embossing.  But...look how much those swirls & curls pop when you take a sponge and rub some ink over it:

Kinda fun!  Then next up is something I discovered recently when I was making Thanksgiving name tags for the table.  I sponged some Gold Shimmer Paint over Crumb Cake cardstock.  Kinda fell in love, so decided to use it here also:

I wanted some inconsistencies and in real life, it is so shimmery.  Love it!!!   Want to see some of the details up close?!  Well here you go!

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE the Buffalo Check Background stamp!  😍

I hope you enjoyed this card!  Let me know if you have any questions!  And head on over to the TGIF Challenge blog and play along!  Can't wait to see what you make!
