Oh The Places You'll Go...

It's graduation time!  I am sure lots of us have some graduation cards to make!  So here is one quick idea using the "Places You'll Go" stamp set...

Graduation time makes me a little bit teary.  Seeing these kids start their journey's into adulthood brings back so many memories myself....and it's so exciting to see where their lives will take them!

ColorsEmerald Envy, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Copper
Cardstock/PapersEmerald Envy, Very Vanilla Thick, Pool Party, Watercolor Paper, Neutrals Designer Paper Stack
Stamps: Places You'll Go, Crazy About You
ToolsHeat Tool, Triple Banner Punch, Duet Banner Punch
Accessories: Copper Embossing Powder, Clear Embossing Powder, Affectionately Yours Washi Tape

Anyway...this stamp set is amazing.  I did a little watercoloring not the globe, so the card front is made with watercolor paper.  And all the stamped images are embossed.

Then inside I used one of my FAVE stamp sets....the "Crazy About You" stamp set.

Hope you enjoy this card!  Let me know if you have any questions or need any supplies to make your own projects!

TGIF Challenge - 109: Farewell to Carousel Birthday...

YIPPEEEE!  It's TGIF Challenge time!!!!  Have you participated in one of these challenges yet?!  Let me just tell you...they are AMAZING!!!  It's so fun to step out of your "crafting box" and try something new.  So I encourage you to try it this week if you haven't before!  And if you have...you for sure are going to want to play along this week!  It's DESIGNER SPOTLIGHT week!

We are SOOOOO lucky to have Rochelle in our TGIF Challenge group...she is SOOOO creative and amazing!  She's on the Artisan Design team too...she's THAT fabulous!  So...how EASY is this challenge!  :-)  Not even sure you can call it a challenge.  Hee.  Just use one of her amazing creations and be inspired to create something from it.  Use a color combo, layout, or even CASE (copy & share everything) the whole project.

Want to see what I made?!?!?

Well...it was my daughter's birthday this week.  And we had a "Carousel Birthday" pool party.  So...I wanted to make her a special gift bag for one of her gifts.  So I copied her card layout found on her blog HERE: http://rochelleblok.blogspot.co.nz/2017/03/jai-352.html  and made this gift bag...

ColorsBermuda Bay, Flirty Flamingo, Early Espresso, Pool Party
Cardstock/PapersBermuda Bay, Flirty Flamingo, Pool Party, Early Espresso, Cupcakes & Carousels Designer Paper Stack
Stamps: Carousel Birthday
ToolsBig Shot, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Layering Circles Framelits
Accessories: Linen Thread, Burlap Ribbon, Peekaboo Peach Rouched Ribbon, Gold Sequin Trim

How fun is this?!  Let me just start by saying...I LOVE THIS suite of products that is in the Occasions Catalog!  Oh how I will miss this!  LOVE the paper, accessories, color combo, stamps, etc.  So. Much. Fun!!!  My kind of suite!

And making this bag was SO. EASY!  Want to see what I did?!

I just took a standard 8 1/2" x 11" piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock.  Then I scored vertically at 1 1/2" & 7".  Flip the cardstock 90 degrees and score at 4 3/4" & 6 1/4".  Then just make a few snips to make flaps to adhere the bag closed.  Here is what the cardstock looks like (dashed lines are the scored lines and solid are the cut lines...

Then you just fold on the score lines and it looks like this...

All you do now is just adhere the flaps together!  That easy!

Then decorate!!!

Hard to see in my picture, but I used the Wink of Stella Clear Brush to make the carousel horse all glittery...

Don't you just LOVE that carousel horse!  And seriously...I LOVE when my daughter's birthday comes around!  She is SOOOO excited about it all and it makes the whole house excited.  Nothing like a "kids" (she just turned 11 so not so much of a kid any more) excitement!  Love it!

Anyway...love this bag and want to make more like it!  Hope you enjoy!  And give this a try!  It is SOOO easy to make your own coordinating gift packaging!!

Now it's your turn to do the challenge! Can't wait to see what you come up with!  Head to the challenge blog by clicking HERE.

Quick fun project today...a 4"x4" Decor Canvas made with the Balloon Adventures stamp set.  Love using my stampin' supplies to add some fun pop to decor at parties or home or wherever you need it!

Hello Lovely - Project Life Card Set ...

Are you in the need of quick cards?!  Well...look no further than the retiring Project Life set called "Hello Lovely."  Check out these quick cards I made the other day using nothing more than the Card Kit, Accessory Pack, twine, and some Crumb Cake cardstock...

ALL I did was just glue the Project Life cards to the front of a standard size Crumb Cake card.  I added twine to a few before I glued them down and then added some Washi (that is in the Accessory Pack) to the others.  You could do a lot more to them, of course, but I think they are so cute just like this!

Colors: Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Whisper White, Soft Sky, Old Olive
Cardstock/Papers: Crumb Cake
Stamps: NONE!
Tools: NONE!
Accessories: Project Life Hello Lovely Card Collection, Project Life Hello Lovely Accessory Pack, Old Olive Baker's Twine

Here are all the cards...

So what do you think?!  Next time you need some quick cards made...give this a try!  Grab this Project Life set before it's retired on May 31st! (or sooner if it sell out!)

Extended Baker's Box...Nailed It! - Club Project

Time to share the club project for the month!  I know, I know...the Nailed It framelits are sold out.  While that's incredibly sad...there is still SO MUCH you can do without the framelits!  The stamp set is still fabulous and so much fun to use!  Also...the Baker's Box is retiring, and it's one of my FAVES!!!  We made a version of a Baker's Box, but we tweaked it just a bit.  Check out the box we made, and then I will share what's different about it...

ColorsBasic Gray, Bermuda Bay, Smoky Slate, Real Red
Cardstock/PapersBasic Gray, Real Red, Watercolor Paper, Neutrals Designer Series Paper
Stamps: Nailed It
ToolsBig Shot, Baker's Box Thinlits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Dynamic Hexagons Embossing Folder, Aqua Painter
Accessories: Smoky Slate 1/8" Ribbon, Mini Paper Clips, Staples

So what do you think?!  Kinda fun, right?  Great for gifting to those special men in your life.  You're probably thinking--what's different about this box?  Looks like the normal Baker's Box to me.  Well...check out this picture...

Look how much bigger it is!  So much fun, right?!  The box on the left is the normal size the die makes.  And the one on the right is what we made with an easy adjustment!

Look at the fun details, also.  I kept things simple, but still wanted things to pop.  So check out the Vellum embossed tag--using the Dynamic Hexagon Embossing Folder...

Swoon!!!  And that hammer is pretty fun too, if I do say so myself.  It's just colored with the Watercolor Pencils--which are A-MA-ZING!!!

And how about just another quick view of the box...

This is one of my fave boxes, and I'm so sad it's retiring May 31st!  (or sooner if it sells out!)

***BONUS***  Order the Baker's Box Thinlits from me before it retires and I will send you the project instruction sheet for this project!  Learn how to easily make this taller box with the same dies!  The project sheets are normally just available for my team and my club members--but I will send it to you for FREE when you order the Baker's Box Thinlits!  (Just PLEASE make sure you don't have "No Contact" selected when you order or I won't know who to send it to!!!)

Thanks for visiting!  Let me know how I can help you!  :-)

Eastern Palace Smile - May Club Card

It was club time last week!  So I think it's time to share the projects we made!  :-) Today I'm going to share this month's club card.  I had to show my clubbers the amazing Eastern Palace sneak peek items.  Thank you Stampin' Up! for releasing these products early!  Here is just a fun and simple card using lots of the pieces in the bundle...

ColorsCrumb Cake, Fresh Fig & Lemon Lime Twist (NEW IN COLOR'S!!), Bermuda Bay
Cardstock/PapersCrumb Cake, Fresh Fig, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, Eastern Palace Designer Series Paper
Stamps: Eastern Beauty
ToolsBig Shot, Eastern Medallion Thinlits, Layering Circles Framelits, Boho Chic Embossing Folder, 2" Circle Punch
Accessories: Linen Thread, Gold Sequin Trim

Let me just say...the thinlits available in the Premier Bundle (that comes with FREE Very Vanilla THICK cardstock & Very Vanilla Envelopes!) are A-MA-ZING!!!  Seriously so beautiful and you can do SO much with them!  I can't express just how beautiful they are!  They are also really fun when you use them with the coordinating Layering Circles die.  This card uses the largest medallion along with the largest circle in the Layering Circles framelits set.

How beautiful is that?!  Love!

And seriously--Lemon Lime Twist is BY FAR my favorite new In Color.  Look at that pop of color.  And the pleating with the Designer Series Paper--such a fun touch!

Hope you enjoy this card!  Thanks so much for visiting!  Let me know if you have any questions or need to order any Stampin' Up! supplies!

TGIF Challenge - 107: Grunge-y Get Better...

WHOOO!!!  It's FRIDAY!!!!  (I've needed Friday all week!!!  Haha.)  That means TGIF Challenge time!!!!!

A theme this week!!!  Make a get well or sympathy card.  I am so thankful for this challenge cause I have, sadly, needed to make a few of these kinds of cards lately.  So this challenge will help me get caught up on these kinds of cards that aren't so fun to make, but can make a big difference.  And that's what I love about doing this...the difference a handmade card can make.  So play along with this challenge!  Can't wait to see what you do!  Head over HERE to the challenge blog!!!

BUT BEFORE YOU GO...here is my card that I made...

Can we talk for a moment about how SAD i am that my fave stamp set is retiring?!  Do you own Gorgeous Grunge yet?!  If not...get it now before it's gone!  I LOVE all the texture you can quickly and easily add to any project!

ColorsSmoky Slate, Flirty Flamingo, Bermuda Bay, Basic Black
Cardstock/Papers: Smoky Slate, Whisper White, Basic Black, Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper
Stamps: Butterfly Basics, A Dozen Thoughts (JUST SAW THIS WAS ALREADY RETIRED!!! SO SORRY!)
Tools: Bitty Butterfly Punch, Triple Banner Punch
Accessories: Silver Satin Ribbon, Bermuda Bay Twine, Flirty Flamingo Ruched Ribbon, Delicate White Doilies

This card was so quick and easy to make.  Just stamp your background, add some embellishments and greeting, and you're basically done!  Love cards like that!  ***TIP:  I wanted a thick ribbon but didn't have any in the color I wanted.  So that Silver Satin ribbon (GORGEOUS!)...I just added two strips of it around the card and then the Flirty Flamingo ribbon in the middle to cover up the seam.  Voila!  Can't even tell!!!

Thanks so much for visiting!  Hope you enjoy!  Can't wait to see what you make for the challenge.  Let me know if you have any questions!

Eastern Palace Meets Blooms & Bliss...

Need a quick and fun gift/treat holder?!  Well look no further than the Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits! This is retiring and I'm so sad because it's FABULOUS!  It's pretty small...about 3" tall/wide.  (I need to measure to verify.)  But still fits quite a bit because of the fun shape.  So. Stinking. Cute.  It was perfect for my project here...a little Mother's Day gift filled with "hugs & kisses" chocolate candy's.  The Blooms & Bliss paper was the perfect pair...and with the Eastern Palace thinlits...perfect match!

I mean seriously...how cute!

I just tied the bow and then adhered it with a glue dot.  So you can easily open the one flap (just lift it over the handle), and get the gift out!!!

So fun, right?!

I love seeing them all lined up in rows...makes my heart happy!

What do you think?!  These took almost no time at all to make!  Make sure you have this die set before it retires at the end of this month!  (Or could sell out before then!)
