Here is the card I made...
The sentiment I put on this card is because Creating MAKES ME HAPPY! So instead of just throwing these things away...I chose "happiness!" :)

I am LOVING grouping of elements these days. Love the layers of all the fibers....makes my heart happy! These gold sequins ARE. SO. YUMMY! I am NOT NOT NOT a gold fan! But for some reason...I am starting to enjoy little bits of it here and there. And these sequins started it off for me! They are SO MUCH FUN! And I love to remove a few from the bottom of my strands and add them around the card, like I did on this one.
And I have to point this out...I tried to get a good pic of it. This embossed doily was one of the main reasons I set out to make a card with some of my "scrap" pieces. I had taken just a plain old white doily (that I LOVE) and gave it a makeover. I embossed it with Early Espresso ink and Iridescent Ice embossing powder. So it SPARKLES in real life. I ended up not using this on the display project I made it for...but didn't have the heart to throw it away. :) Love it!
Anyway...I hope you enjoy this card! Thanks so much for visiting! My lesson for today...always choose happiness! My heart was much happier after making this card than it would of been if I just threw all this in the garbage! :) Email me with any questions... designwithink@gmail.com

Okay now that my brain is once again functioning....this wonderful card is the one I'd love detail on "dying" the white doily. What a great card....love the butterflies!! Great job, as usual!
To "dye" the doily...all you do is smoosh your ink pad (I used Early Espresso here) all over the doily. (Make sure you have a really wet ink pad) Then just put Iridescent Ice embossing powder all over it (or you could use clear if you would prefer) and emboss it. It makes it all shiny and sparkly (if you use iridescent ice). LOVE this technique!
