Shoebox Swap Cards Continued...

I still haven't showed you all the swaps we made a few weekends ago. Seriously...too much fun! Here are a few more...

I love the use of Designer Series Paper on this! Both of these patterns are from the "Sweet Pea" Pack in the current Mini...
And then look at that fun flower...
To make that flower you just punch out two Scallop Circles. Then crumple them (or use your crimper to crimp them a few times) until you can see the paper start to come apart. Then you just carefully pull the layers apart. We did this twice...so you have a total of 4 layers. Then just adhere them all together and add some beads in the middle! TOO CUTE!!!

Love this vintage card! I LOVE this stamp set and have used it quite a bit. The coordinating wheel is so fabulous with it as well!
And look at this cute cupcake card. Love that saying as well..."the more candles the bigger the wish!" It's perfect as I get older and older every day! :)
Hope you enjoy! Thanks for visiting!

It is done with the Polka Dot stamp set that is in the very back of the Mini catalog. Then one of those AMAZING epoxy brad is right in the middle of it.
Love these monkey's...

Love the DSP (from the Sweet Pea paper pack in the Mini) and can I say again....LOVE this monkey! :)
Here comes that monkey again. :) With all his friends...
Seriously...love this! Too much fun! And I love the white background piece. You just crumple it up into a ball and then smooth it out and adhere. What a fun accent that makes! Here is a close-up...
I hope you enjoy! Thanks for visiting!!!

It's A Birthday Party...

One of the things I have been busy with lately is helping to plan a birthday party. In my church...we have a woman's organization called the Relief Society. Every March we plan a big birthday party to celebrate the establishment of this organization and all the women involved. This year I was on the committee to plan this event. Usually....people do a flyer to invite people but OF COURSE that wouldn't work if I had a say in it. :) I insisted we made a handmade invitation. :) Is there any other way?! :) I kept them simple because we had to make 100 of them. Here is what we ended up doing...
How much fun is this?! The first one I did was a bit more involved and I like a bit better. But I'm really happy with how they turned out. The flower is on a belly band. So you just slide that off and then this is how the card opens to reveal the information on the inside...
I also made some name tags for the event. I kept these really simple since obviously they will just be thrown out. Oh....side note...we decorated the tables (we were having a big dinner) by seasons. Everyone sat at whatever season their birthday was in. So we had Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. And then when they got there they picked a name tag based on their birthday season...
I did spritzed all of them with some Shimmer Spray. Gotta love that stuff! :) Hard to catch but hopefully you can see it in this photo...
I also made some favors for the table. Again....in keeping with the seasons...I made some for each season. Here is the winter one...
I used mostly retired paper for them all. And the stamp set I used on the treats and the name tags is "Best Wishes and More". I LOVE that set. Here are the treats for all the seasons...
There were different patterns of paper used....but here's a sampling.
Hope you enjoy! Thanks for visiting!

Shoebox Swap Cards...

The other weekend I went to a shoebox swap that was SO FABULOUS!!!! Now what is a shoebox swap? I know I've explained this before...but everyone that participates brings a card for everyone to make. You bring all the supplies, tools, etc...and you go around and make everyone's cards. It's so much fun! And look at just a FEW of the fun cards we made that night...
Now what is this stamp set?!? Well it is a SNEAK PEEK of one that is coming out in the NEW SUMMER MINI! Isn't it SO MUCH FUN! I'm going to be showing you some other fun samples with this set soon. :) And look at that fun glitter...
Then look at this fun Easter card. Seriously....can you ever get enough of that DARLING Chocolate Bunny?!?! LOVE her!!! :)
And look at this fun one! I love the color combo!!!! I think this card is so great...
It would be so easy to change up to any color combo too. Black, White, and Melon Mambo by chance?! :) (Yes...I've been dying to try it with that color combo since I made this one. :)
Anyway...hope you enjoy! I'll share some more of the cards we made later!!! Thanks for visiting!!!

March Club Project...

I shared the card we made at club this month yesterday, so sharing the project we made today. :) I LOVE this little Easter basket. It was made with four envelopes we cut out using the Big Shot and the Scallop Envelope die. You could make the even bigger by just adding more envelopes. Too much fun!!! And these would be so easy to change out for any occasion that you needed them. Here is the basket...

I LOVE this chick-a-dee! Too cute. He's from the "A Good Egg" stamp set and just too much fun. The basket is made with So Saffron Cardstock and then Tea Party Designer Series Paper. Then the "happy easter" is on Pretty in Pink cardstock. And the fabulous ribbon is the Pretty in Pink Satin ribbon that is in the Mini catalog. Then we crimped and crumpled up some Certainly Celery cardstock for the grass for the inside. Here is the picture of that...
The OF COURSE that egg needed some glitter. I LOVE the look of the glitter on Whisper White cards stock. Here is a close-up of that...
And then finally....that fabulous ribbon handle. We attached it with some of the Jumbo White brads. Love these too. :) Here is that close-up picture...
Let me know if you have any questions! Oh...making the basket was really easy. We just cut out four of the envelopes. Then you will have two shorter side flaps. Well just cut one of them off and adhere them together using the other flap. The adhere the bottom down and you have your basket. I also cut a piece of cardstock for the inside bottom....just makes it a bit more sturdy.
Hope you enjoy! Thanks for visiting!!!

March Club Card...

Today is club day!!! Love this day each month! I have some girl's come during the day and some at night...and some don't come at all because they live out of town. (They still get the free projects though so I know they still have fun but we miss them each month!!!) Anyway....this month card is a bit smaller than normal. But I LOVE it and it was fun to make. We used the "Hug" elements that are in the Mini catalog. We also used the Rectangle Glassine Envelopes as well. Here is what the card looks like while it is in it's Glassine Envelope...

Wouldn't this be such a fun package for someone to get?!?! :) And then the back looks like this...
We made that flower element so the flap would have something to tuck behind to close. And it looks so cute so it's perfect. :) Then when you take the card out this is what you get...

How fun!!!! It opens on the side....so you can write a message on the inside. We just decorated the "Hugs" scalloped rectangle and then attached it to the card with dimensionals. Here is a side view...
And then....so you can tell the size a bit better....here it is compared to my new favorite punch...
Hope you like this! I don't have pictures taken of the second project we made yet...so I will have to share that later. Thanks for visiting! Hope you enjoy!!!

More Flower Fun...

I promise I will post more than just once a week now. :) Seems like I can't get back on track. But I have some fun things to show this week. This past weekend I went to a shoebox swap that one of my upline's with Stampin' Up! (upline is a fancy term meaning the people you sign up under when you sign up to be a demonstrator) organized for her group. It was SO MUCH fun and we made some SUPER cute cards!!! Today I am going to show you the card that I made to bring. OH...what is a shoebox swap....some of you may be asking?! Well....basically everyone that comes designs a card and then brings all the supplies needed for everyone that is coming to make one of those cards. Then you just go around and make all the cards there. It's a great time!!! Here is the card I made:

I have to admit...I wasn't totally loving this card when I first made it. But it grew on me and I actually really like it. Oh....at these events we vote on our favorite card of the night as well. Mine tied for first place. :) YAY! That was fun. Here is a close-up of the flower...
The color combo is Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo, Very Vanilla, and Old Olive. While I was working on this card I wanted to make another one with just a different color combo. So I made this one...
This one is Old Olive, Taken With Teal, So Saffron, Rose Red, and Pretty in Pink. This card would be a great one to make with ANY color combo. And I got this layout from a magazine us demo's get free from Stampin' Up! It's called "Stampin' Success" and is filled with fun projects and ideas.
Thanks for visiting! Hope you enjoy!!!

Fun With Flowers...

WHERE DOES THE TIME GO?!?!? Sorry it's been so long since my last post! Geez!!!! Just lots going on. We were out of town, I turned 30 (AHHHHHH!!!! SO not happy about that one!!!!), still dealing with some unwanted home repairs, etc, etc. BUT...I do have a cute thing or two to show you today. :) I made two cards...and they are VERY similar. I used the same color combo and stamps to make each of these two cards. But yet...of course they are quite different. Just goes to show how much you can do with just a few supplies. :)

First card up...
This is a gate card, with a belly band holding it closed. Here is a close-up of the belly band...
I used that FABULOUS Extra Large Flower punch in the mini catalog. Seriously...this is a MUST HAVE. I love this thing! I stamped that big flower stamp from "With All My Heart" stamp set twice and punched them out. Then just crumpled up the flowers and used a bone folder to "fluff up" the petals. Then adhere them together. And FYI...the circles were cut out with the Circle Scissors system. That thing is fun too. :) Here are both of the card parts...

And then how the card opens...
Isn't that just so much fun?! :)
Now this next card was a BLAST to make. Seriously...I'm in love. :) Again...used the same supplies. But here is this card...
Ok...HONESTLY...isn't this fun?!?! I LOVE this flower. It was super easy to make...and is just so much fun with all the layers. PLUS...used my Shimmer Spray made with the Shimmer Paints (YES!!! You can still order those!!!!!) and Rubbing Alcohol. Hope you can see the shimmer here...
And then here is another view of the flower...
Now how I got this flower was easy. Just punch out three of the Extra Large Flowers. Then crumple, crumple and use your bone folder to curl those edges. Once I did this a few times on the top flower...I just kinda stuck my fingernail in between the petal layers and pulled a bit apart the layers. Because Stampin' Up! is AWESOME and has their paper colored throughout the cardstock....you can still see the pink when you do this. LOVE it!!!! :) Then the middle of the flower is actual the 5-petal flower. Just punched it out and folded the petals in on themselves. Added a brad in the middle and have a fun flower center. :) Seriously...this was SO MUCH FUN TO DO!!!!
I hope you enjoy! Thanks for coming to visit me again. Sorry for my absence. :)
