Froggy Fun...

Last night was our last session of doing THIS CLASS. It was a lot of fun! Thanks to everyone who joined us! And what can I say? I just love making these 6x6 Accordion Albums. I made some recently using Simply Scrappin Kits. I wanted to show everyone at the class different things you could do with it. Too bad I forgot to bring them with me to the class. :) So here is one of them. This Scrappin' Kit I used here is called "Hoppy Memories."
This is the album fully closed...obviously.
Then the front without the ribbon.

I hope you are having a great day!

The tutorial is 24 pages with lots of pictures to help you. A full supply list and all the measurements are included. There are step-by-step instructions (with pictures ) for putting the album together, as well as for decorating each page. I also have included pictures of alternate albums you could make. Let me know if you have any questions! designwithink@gmail.com
Here is one side of the scrapbook. The other side is completely decorated too.

Here is a top view of the scrapbook.

Favor Box Ease...

Need a cute favor or a small gift for someone? Want to make them super quick?! Here is a box I made with the Big Shot Box #2 Die. I used the Slumber Party textured Designer Series Paper (which is really card stock) to make it nice and sturdy. Then just tied a ribbon around it, made a focal point for the front, and filled with some yummy orange mints. So easy and fun to do. You only even need a small piece of sticky tape for the side to put it together. The bottom just folds in on each other and you don't need any adhesive! FABULOUS!!!! Hope you enjoy!

Yes...yes....this is the same paper I used for the envelope album as well. :) I LOVE this paper!! Let me know if you have any questions!

Tutorial Coming...

I have been receiving a lot of questions on how to make THIS and THIS album that I've been obsessed with lately. :) So I just wanted to let you know I'm working on putting together a tutorial for this. I'm hoping to have it available in just a few days for just a small fee. It will be filled with lots of pictures and step by step instructions on how to make THIS one. So be on the look-out! :) Sorry it's not quite done yet!

Mini Envelope Book...

I have to apologize for these pictures. I didn't realize until I uploaded them that they definitely aren't the best. But I've had this project done for weeks and haven't re-taken then yet. So thought I would share anyway and hope you get this gist of it. Because this was really fun to make. I just took mini envelopes and connected them all together with their flaps. Then made a cover for them, and tied a ribbon around it to keep it closed. What a FUN mini album! :) Here are the pics....
This is the book before it's all opened up. I used the Slumber Party textured Designer Series Paper for the cover, and then I used the Hostess Hand Drawn Bundle for the Designer Series Paper (on inside), rub-ons, and stamp set.

Cover of the book with the ribbon un-tied.
When you open up the first part of the cover, I put some more rub-ons on. Subtle touch.
When you open up the book this is what you get. There are 5 envelopes with inserts in them. I pulled them out a little bit so you could see them. Oh...the words on the tabs are from the Fundamental Phrases stamp set. Then I just decorated the envelopes with the Designer Series Paper in the bundle. Here it is from the backside. You can see the cover...and I just adhered the ribbon on the back center piece of the cover. Then I covered the back of the envelopes with Designer Series Paper and you could add pictures here too or whatever you wanted.

Here is a top view of what it looks like and how it's attached to the book, etc. Hope you enjoy! By the way....LOVING this color combo! It's Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red, Basic Gray, and Whisper White.

One of the people in the swap is actually in my sideline and wasn't able to make it to Leadership. (We missed you LOTS Mindy!) So she sent us the swap in the mail. LOOK at HOW FABULOUS it is! I absolutely LOVE these pages and think it's amazing! It's done by Mindy Bywater. I LOVE LOVE it! Thanks!!!!

Here is the double page spread. Then a close up of each page is below....

Masculine Birthday...

A quick post today. I struggle sometimes with masculine cards. I always want to add ribbon and fun fluffy stuff. Well, I have used this layout before, and really like it. Then I had some Designer Series Paper laying around from the Paper Sampler packs I did. I thought this would be a great way to put them to use. Then instead of ribbon...I just used a strip of Baja Breeze textured card stock. I think textured card stock adds such a fun...well....texture....to the card. :) Helps me not use ribbon if there is some other texture on the card. :) Hehe. Anyway: hope you enjoy!
Both cards are the same...just use different Designer Series Paper from the Manchester pack.
( Look at those NEW YUMMY CHOCOLATE CHIP BRADS!!! I LOVE LOVE them!!! They are the 5/16th size...FYI)
Enjoy! Let me know if you have any questions!

Fun With Punches...

I really love using punches for projects. You can do such cute and fun things with them. I wanted to showcase a little critter I made with punches on a fun project, so I decided to do a Clear Envelope Album. There is a tutorial HERE for the album. Then I've seen this little frog all over the place, and just kept him in the back of my mind in the "I want to do that someday" place. :) So I don't know where I originally got the inspiration. Sorry! I basically took the album I did HERE and just made it a bit more "boyish" or just less frilly. Here is the project:
How much fun is this! Here's the bummer...I forgot to take a picture of the inside of the book. I used 5 Clear Envelopes for mine, and then cut different color card stock for the inserts. I used Green Galore, Gable Green, and Apricot Appeal. (I just pulled the colors from the Designer Series Paper.)
Then HOW CUTE is that frog?! Love him. And HOW DELICIOUS is that JUMBO brad?! Those are the new Jumbo brads, the 5/8" size. Anyway: here are the pieces for the frog...
  • Wide Oval for face
  • 1 3/4" Circle for body
  • Large Oval for legs (you need 2)
  • Boho Blossoms punch for the feet (again...you need 2...one for each leg :) )
  • 3/4" Circle for white of eye
  • 1/2" Circle for black of eye

Then I just used a white gel pen to draw in the little white on the black of the eye. And i used a Basic Black Stampin' Write marker for the smile and just drew it myself. Isn't he just precious! :) Love him.
