Good Things Sometimes Come in Small Packages...

Well, Christmas time is over.  Kinda sad, yet kinda nice to clear up the house and get everything down.  But, never fail, every time I do this...as I'm setting up my "normal" house decor...I want something new to put up.  Or...I put stuff back different so I NEED something new for a particular place.  :-)  Well...often times I will go down to my room and make something.  I can't always fine things in stores in colors I need, or whatever, so sometimes it's just easier to do myself.

Today I am showing you this tiny little framed piece I made.  I just wanted a little something to put on this display shelf in my entertainment center.  The whole frame is about 2 1/2" x 3 1/2".  Here you go...

There is not a lot to it.  I used some new paper THAT I LOVE from the Occasions Catalog.  It is the "It's My Party" paper stack.  Oh.  YUM!  So many bright and fun patterns.  I will let you know at the end of the catalog how many stacks I go through.  Hee.  It's a BIG stack too.  You get 48-12"x12" sheets in this pack!  Lots of fun to be had with this paper.

So, anyway...I framed a piece of that paper...made a little starburst with a small scallop punch (you just punch your scallop, add it to the sticky part of a post it note, put it back in the punch--line up the scallop peaks with the valley of the scallops on the punch, and punch again.  Instant starburst!)...and then stamped the greeting (from the "Enjoy the Little Things" stamp set) onto Pool Party.  Oh...the starburst is stamped with the dots in that same stamp set I used for the greeting.

SO QUICK (less than 5 mins from start to finish) and gave me just the touch of color I wanted.  Here you can see it on display...

A fun little reminder of what I am trying to work on this year...enjoy the little things that happen each day.  My kids are growing WAY too fast, and I often wish time would slow down (and some times wish it would hurry along!).  So I want to celebrate each day this year...and be grateful that I have it.

Another quick shot...

Hope you enjoy this little project!!  Thanks so much for visiting!!  Please let me know if you have any questions...designwithink@gmail.com.
