Quick Festive Treat...

Late last night I remembered I needed a treat for my preschooler to take to her Halloween class today.    I REALLY didn't want to go to the store.  So I ran to my stamp room to see what I could come up with.  Luckily...I had some Twizzler's, even the individually wrapped ones!  YAY!  So I just tied a few together and made the easiest tag I have ever made.  (Thank you..."Merry Everything" stamp set!)  This, by no means, is my finest work.  HOWEVER...they were all done in like 10 mins (couldn't make a trip to the store in that amount of time) and they are for 3-4 year olds.  So all they care about is the candy.  :-)  AND...my daughter felt super special that I made something for all her friends in her class.  I call that a Win-Win-Win!  :-)  Here is the super easy and quick preschool treat...

Hope you enjoy!  Thanks for visiting!

BOO!!! It's Halloween!!

I can't believe it's almost Halloween!  Where has this year gone?!?!  Crazy how time flies!  I helped decorate a Halloween party last weekend, so thought I would share a few things.  If you have read my blog for awhile, you know I LOVE Banners!  So of course I had to have some at the party!!!

(And guess what?!?!  The Chalkboard Banner Kit that was in the last catalog is ON THE CLEARANCE RACK!!!  For $7.99!!!!  Seriously...it comes with 15 thick chalkboard-coated chipboard banners, 32 paper pennants, 5 tissue paper pom-poms, twine, and chalk.  You can't beat that deal!  Check it out: www.ashleyvancamp.stampinup.net)

The Chalkboard banner pieces were perfect for what I needed...this was a black and white Halloween party.  So I used the black banner pieces as my base.  Here is the banner that welcomed them...

Here are some close-up's...

I didn't get the greatest pictures, but basically...I just made a banner, a rosette, and then added some glimmer letters. You can't tell in the pic, but the letters are cut out with the Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper.  (The letters were cut with the Big Shot and retired alphabet dies.)  Makes its all sparkly and fun!

Then on the ends I made a big poofy flower.  I just cut 8 flowers from Basic Black cardstock, using the Floral Frames framelit sets, stapled them together, then scrunched up each layer (after spritzing with Rubbing Alcohol) until this poofy flower was finished!  :-)

Then here is one of the centerpieces...

Spray painted some branches, added some bats, covered books, and another poofy flower on a frame...

Hope you enjoy!  Thanks for visiting!  Let me know if you have any question or need to order any Stampin' Up! supplies!!!  designwithink@gmail.com.

Boo! Halloween Time = Treat Time!

Halloween is kinda all about treats, right?!  At least my kids seem to think so.  :-)  So...I find that there are always reasons for cute Halloween packages this time of year.  Here is quick treat package that are so easy to put together...

I LOVE the Howl-O-Ween Bundle in the Holiday Catalog.  Have used it so very much!  The skull and the BOO! both come from this bundle.  So much fun!  And I LOVE Washi Tape.  Such a quick fun way to add some interest to your projects!

How "cute" is he?  (I guess that's probably not the appropriate term for a skull and bones, but it kinda fits...right?!)

And this sparkly BOO!....

This clothespin was so fun to make.  Just added some Washi (again...so quick, cute, and easy!), the sparkly BOO! (cut from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper), and some Baker's Twine...and such a cute element!  Then clipping that Spider Web doily....well, I just swoon.

I hope you enjoy this treat (or any small gift) package.  Thanks for visiting!  Let me know if you have any questions!  designwithink@gmail.com

October Club Project...It's an Extended Pillow Box...

One of my fave products in the Holiday Catalog is the Square Pillow Box die.  It makes such a cute square pillow box...perfect for gift card giving or any little gift you need packaged cute.  BUT...did you know it also can make an extended pillow box?!  That is what we made at my club group this month.  Check it out...

This is actually quite large...probably about 10" long or so. (Need to measure it to be sure.)

Here is a close up of the tag...

I used the "For All Things" stamp set.  Such a fun fall set.

The colors are:  Tangerine Tango, Crumb Cake, Hello Honey, and Pool Party.

Normally you cut out two pillow box pieces and adhere those together to make the square pillow box.  For this extended one, we cut out four.  Here's a quick view of how we put this pillow box together...

Then just add some glue to the flap and adhere the flat side to it, making the pillow box.

October Club Card...It's All About the Sparkle!

Last week was my monthly club time!  So much fun!  And I LOVE this card we made at club!!!  I was lucky enough to be in an incredible swap a little while ago.  And I received this card in that swap...it's made by Cindy Schuster.  She is a Stampin' Up! Artisan.  When I saw this card first, I gasped it is so beautiful.  She is so talented!!!!  But enough chatter...here is the card we made...

Isn't. This. So. FUN!!!  All that sparkle...those acorns...etc...I. Love. It!!!  We used the Acorny Bundle (stamp set and punch) from the Holiday Catalog for those fabulous acorns...along with the fabulous Woodland Embossing Folder.  The greeting is from the Sparkly Seasons stamp set.

Hope you enjoy this card!  Thanks so much for visiting! Let me know if you have any questions... designwithink@gmail.com.

The Best Kind Of Halloween Treat...

Want to share a cute little Halloween treat today.  I saw part of this project all over Pinterest, and HAD to make it as soon as I saw it.  Look at this first piece of the project that inspired this whole thing...

Look at that witch hat!  SOOOO cute!!! What could be cuter?!  Maybe more of them?! ...

And look...they are clothespins...so you can keep using them...

I LOVE THEM!!!! Now these need to go on something, right?!?  So here is the little "treat" I made for it...

Really...this is the best kind of treat...Stampin' Up! accessories!

How fun, right?!  I made the little pouch with the Mini Treat Bag Framelits.  Here are what the framelits look like...

See how there are two pieces to make the bag...the larger piece and then the smaller?!  Well...I just used two of the smaller pieces and adhered them together to make this pouch!  So fun, right?!

Here are a few more photos...

I just cut off a side piece of one of our cello bags, added a strip of Designer Paper in the size I wanted it, and taped the bag up on the back.  Perfect customized bags!  Then put the witch hat clip on the top...SO CUTE!!!

I. LOVE. THIS. OWL!  (From the Howl-O-Ween stamp set)  Nothing else to say about that.  :-)

I'm not sure there is much cuter, than maybe just MORE of them...

Hee.  Hope you enjoy!  Thanks so much for visiting!  I hope you enjoy!  Let me know if you have any questions...designwithink@gmail.com.  Thanks!!

Manly Birthday Card...

So I posted about how I became a cake decorator for my Dad's birthday in THIS POST.  Well...I forgot I didn't share the card I made for him.  I guess it's time to do that.  Here you go...

I wanted to keep this card all manly for him.  And I HAD to use that antler Vellum paper, from the Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Paper Pack in the Holiday catalog, since he's a hunter.  Mix that with some "manly" colors, the Woodgrain embossing folder, Amazing Birthday stamp set, and you have yourself a card!  I DID tie a bow, but it's with twine...so still counts as manly, right?!

Here are some shots of the banners...I. LOVE. Banners.  And they are totally manly when done in the right colors.  :-)

And then just for some added interest, I cut the bottom portion of the card off and just added some the Designer Series Paper on the bottom inside of the card...

So there you have it!  Hope you enjoy!  It was a quick and easy card to make.  Let me know if you have any questions!  designwithink@gmail.com.
