June Club Project...

Here is the project we made at club this month...

I love the new Polka Dot bags in the catalog...how cute are they?!  Then make a fun tag for them, and VOILA!  Easy and fun packaging for any gift!  Here we just folded the bag over, made the cute-ified doily, and used the new fun paperclips to secure it to bag and keep bag closed.  That way the receiver can re-use any part of it!  Here are some other views...

I hope you enjoy!  So many fun layers and accessories on this project...what's not to love?!  Thanks for visiting!!!

June Club Card...

Last night was my fun club night!  I love this monthly gathering.  Here is the card we made...

This month was HARD to decide what to make!  I couldn't pick!  I wanted to show them/use EVERYTHING I have from the new catalog.  There are SO MANY things I love!!!  But I couldn't use it all...so just picked some of my faves.  "Work Of Art" stamp set is one of my fave new sets FOR SURE!  Love it!  So we used that.  I also used "Gorgeous Grunge" because I will never be able to stop using this set.  :)  Add some thick Baker's Twine, the AMAZING and SCRUMPTIOUS Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder, and the new Pennant Big Shot Die...and this card was born.  And can I just say...I LOVE that the Starburst Framelits carried over because I.  LOVE.  THESE.  Soooooo MUCH!!!!

Here are a few close-up of some details...

LOVE the large polka dots.  SO. YUMMY!  I distressed the edges of the card front, as well as sponged over the circles just to make things pop a little.

I so hope you enjoy this card!  Thanks for visiting!  If you have any questions...feel free to ask!  designwithink@gmail.com.  If you need any supplies...feel free to visit my website... www.ashleyvancamp.stampinup.net.  Have a great day!

Throw Away?! Or Make Some Happiness?!

I have a quick card to share today!  This card almost didn't get made.  I mentioned in my LAST POST that I was chosen to be a Display Stamper at Stampin' Up!'s Convention this summer.  (I made a bunch of samples that will be on display for the demonstrators to see/take photos of/be inspired by.)  So needless to say...after I had my samples turned in...my stamp room WAS. A. DISASTER.  I'm not even kidding.  I had a photo in my last post that showed a SMALL area of my room.  But my stamp room looked like the catalog exploded.  I obviously had lots of partial pieces of things laying around that I almost used on some of my display projects.  I almost just threw them all away.  (GASP!  But I HAD to start clearing some space for me to work again!)  I decide I should probably put some of them to use.  And THAT is the story of this card!  :)  (I'm sure you wanted to know all that!)

Here is the card I made...

The sentiment I put on this card is because Creating MAKES ME HAPPY!  So instead of just throwing these things away...I chose "happiness!"  :)

Here are so more views...

I am LOVING grouping of elements these days.  Love the layers of all the fibers....makes my heart happy!  These gold sequins ARE. SO. YUMMY!  I am NOT NOT NOT a gold fan!  But for some reason...I am starting to enjoy little bits of it here and there.  And these sequins started it off for me!  They are SO MUCH FUN!  And I love to remove a few from the bottom of my strands and add them around the card, like I did on this one.

And I have to point this out...I tried to get a good pic of it.  This embossed doily was one of the main reasons I set out to make a card with some of my "scrap" pieces.  I had taken just a plain old white doily (that I LOVE) and gave it a makeover.  I embossed it with Early Espresso ink and Iridescent Ice embossing powder.  So it SPARKLES in real life.  I ended up not using this on the display project I made it for...but didn't have the heart to throw it away.  :)  Love it!

Anyway...I hope you enjoy this card!  Thanks so much for visiting!  My lesson for today...always choose happiness!  My heart was much happier after making this card than it would of been if I just threw all this in the garbage!  :)  Email me with any questions... designwithink@gmail.com

Happy Father's Day!!

Ok...WOW!  I just have to say....it may not seem it by blog posts...but I HAVE BEEN STAMPING to the MAX!  And here's a photo to prove it...

Believe me when I say...this was a SMALL portion of the mess that was in my room.  :)  And if my room was this messy, I better have a ton of projects to share with you...right?!  Well...sadly...the projects I was making I can't share just yet.  WHY?!  You may be asking?!  (Or maybe you don't really care.  :) )  Well...remember the post HERE where I talked about applying to be a convention display stamper?!  I WAS PICKED!!!!  Yay!  It was a blast to create projects (and a lot of pressure) that will hopefully inspire demonstrators and help them in their businesses.  SOOOOO...I will share these projects with you...but not until after convention.

HOWEVER....I do have a few things to share today!  As you know, it was Father's Day this last weekend.  I was lucky enough to be able to spend it with two amazing men in my life...my Father and my Husband.  I am so lucky to be raised by the man I was...he was such an amazing example.  And by his example...I knew what to look for in a husband...and boy, did I pick well on that one!  I'm very lucky to have both of these men in my life.  I also have an amazing Father-in-Law that we got to spend time with the week before Father's Day.  Sad he wasn't here on Father's Day with us!

Back to stamping projects...I better share a few things I did for these men in my life.  :)

First up....THANK YOU PAPER PUMPKIN for helping me with my Father's Day cards this year.  As you can see from the photo above...I didn't have much space to work with.  :)  I was able to whip these up in seconds.

The same card...one is portrait and one is landscape.  So much fun!  (If you aren't a Paper Pumpkin subscriber...what are you waiting for?!  :)  I LOVE my monthly crafting escape!  Let me know if you have questions!  Happy to tell you more! designwithink@gmail.com)  These went in with their gifts.

Then at their spot at our table...I wanted another little reminder of how much we loved them.  (I have three girls...and they all LOVE their Daddy so much and squeal whenever he is around!  Same with Grandpa!  They deserve to feel special on their special day!)

I made the center circle of this tag really fast in My Digital Studio. (Did you know this AMAZING Digital Scrapbooking Software is ONLY $19.95?!  AND you can get a FREE 30-day trial?!?!  Just email me for details!  Or check out my store... www.ashleyvancamp.stampinup.net)  I have really been getting into this program and loving every second!

Twix is one of their fave candy's.  So I gave them both a bag of these candy bars.  The tag says "you're worth more to us than GOLD".  Here is a close-up...

It was fun putting these together.  It's so much fun how much the little details make all the difference. Stampin' Up! helps me with the details just about daily.

Thanks so much for visiting!  I hope you enjoyed!  Check back in July to see my display projects!  :)  (I will post other things in the meantime.  :) )  Let me know if you have any questions... designwithink@gmail.com

It's A Special Day...

This weekend was very special for our family.  My eight year old daughter was baptized.  (That is the age the can start to be baptized in our religion.)  My daughter made the choice to be baptized and we were so proud of her.  After the baptism we had a luncheon (and pool party) at our house.  Here are a few pics of the decor.

We had a display table right by the front door...

My favorite thing to do for parties these days is punch out a bunch of 2 1/2" circles and just sew them together.  Then you can use it as garland or just hang in strips or whatever you need.  It's just a quick, inexpensive, and easy way to bring in your party colors.  And Stampin' Up! cardstock is great quality for this! LOVE it!

Here are a few close-up's...

See how much fun the circles are!

I added some flowers I made with some cardstock to the picture frames...just to bring in more color and make things pop a bit.

I made a banner with my daughter's name as well...

Then here is the food table (didn't get a pic with all the food but you get the idea)...

Then just a few close-up's...

I also had a candy buffet.  There is a baptism song that talks about rainbows so I did a "rainbow" candy buffet...

Hope you enjoy!  I love a good party and I love how easy Stampin' Up! makes it for me to add personal touches.  Let me know if you have any questions!  designwithink@gmail.com

Spiral Flower Fun...

I LOVE the Spiral Flower die...so I am super happy it is still in the new catalog! YAY!  Just have a quick project to share today.  I have a special party for my daughter this weekend (will share more later)...and this is a little piece of decor that I made for it.  Here is my vase...

Don't you love these blue vases?  Was pretty happy to find these in the color I needed them in!  All I did was make three Spiral flowers for the vase.  (Before you hot glue them together, punch a small hole in the last scallop of the flower that becomes the base of the flower.  Then glue some floral wire to it, and glue your flower together.)  Then use some dried beans to help hold the flowers in the vase.

A few close-up's of the project...

Who LOVES that thick baker's twine in the new catalog?!  Oh boy...I SURE DO!  Just added a touch of pink to this project by wrapping it around the neck of the vase and tying in a bow.

Hope you enjoyed this project! I will show you more of the party decor after this weekend.

It's A Sweet Day...

A great friend of mine had a birthday this past weekend.  I wanted to make her something special for her birthday.  So how about a fun candy bouquet?!  There isn't a ton of stamping on this project, but the stamped piece really brings the bouquet together.  So I still thought it would be a fun one to share!  Hope you enjoy!  It's definitely A Sweet Day...

I LOVE this color combo!  You will be seeing more of this!  :)  It's Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, and Daffodil Delight.  Here is a close-up of the stamped piece...

This stamp is from the "Hip Hip Hooray" Card Kit.  I made all the cards in the kit and now I have this super fun stamp set still!  This is just one stamp...and I just colored it with markers to get all the pieces a different color.  Then add some fun bling....and I LOVE this piece!  I think it's so fun!

Hope you enjoy!  Thanks so much for visiting!!!
