Hello...To the New In Colors!!!

Probably my most favorite part of a new Stampin' Up! catalog is the NEW In Colors!  I love color...and always love seeing what new ones are available!  Makes me giddy!  This year, I made my club members a bookmark showcasing the new In Colors: Cucumber Crush, Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaron, Delightful Dijon, Tip Top Taupe.  I can tell I am going to get a lot of use out of these colors!  The bookmark I made was something I copied from what they showed at the Australian Stampin' Up! convention.  I LOVED it...so why mess with a good thing?  Here it is...

So fun, right?!  I used the blob stamp from the "Layered Letters" stamp set to stamp each of the In Colors.  Then just stamped the letters (from the same "Layered Letters" stamp set) over the blobs!  Look at that beautiful lace ribbon...

SOOOO fabulous, soft, and just wonderful!

Look how fun it is to see it sticking out from my favorite book!  :-)

And then opened up...

It just makes me happy!  Hope you enjoy!  Thanks for visiting!  Let me know if you have any questions! designwithink@gmail.com

Sad Goodbye...Said With Treats!

My littlest bro just graduated from college, and he and his wife are headed out into the big bad world.  They used to live about only an hours drive away.  Now...it would be like a 20 hour drive to go see them!  (Thank heavens for planes!)  They just left...I am so excited for them, but so SAD for us!!!  Will miss them terribly.  Since they had to drive their car all that way, we decided to stock them up with treats and food gift certificates...but of course it had to be given in style!  :-)  So here are the treats, all packaged up...

I took this burlap sack and made a little gift pouch for them.  You can't even see everything in there...it's packed in pretty good.  But look at this cute tag...

This stamp is now retired, but it just fit perfectly what I wanted to say.  That label shape (the Daffodil Delight piece) is new though! And I can tell will be used a lot.  LOVE it!  It's from the "Lots of Labels" frame lit set.

I actually used the scallop punch to make that Pumpkin Pie starburst.  You just punch out a scallop, then put it on the sticky part of a post-it (just so you can grip something).  Then just put it back into the scallop punch, lining the top of the scallop up with the valley of the scallop, and punch again!  Here is a visual...

VOILA!  A cute Starburst!

Then once the tag was made...I just hot glued it onto a wooden skewer and stuck it in their package.  A fun little pop for some fun treats!

Thanks so much for visiting!  Hope you enjoy!  Let me know if you have any questions...designwithink@gmail.com

June Club Project...It's a Boxed Thing!

Time to share the project we made at club last week!  I LOVE the new box die in the new catalog! So I wanted to use it right away.  Here is the box we made...

Along with the box, I LOVE this saying (from the "Friendly Wishes" stamp set) that is on the tag.  It says, "You're the friend everyone wishes they had."  LOVE!

Here are a few other pictures...

June Club Card...Easy Watercoloring!!

Quick card to share today!   This was the card we made at our club night this week.  The first month with a new catalog and all sorts of new products at my fingertips...I didn't know where to start!  I wanted to use it all!  But I LOVE the new "Remarkable You" stamp set, so I went with that...

We started by stamping them onto watercolor paper and then coloring them with ink and blender pens.  If you smoosh the ink pad together before you open it, you will end up with ink on the lid.  Then you just pick up color with the blender pen and color away.  It's such an easy and fun technique!

Here are some pictures of the details...

Hope you enjoy this card!  Thanks so much for visiting!!!

A Little Happy Is Always...Well, Happy!

Sorry I didn't share anything new last week!  My husband and I were on a Caribbean vacation for our 10th anniversary!  It was a well-needed break, but I'm happy to be back and sharing new stuff this week!  Have a few things to share with you, so stay tuned!  It is NEW CATALOG time!!!  YAY!  (If you don't have one, please let me know and I will get you a free copy!)

I needed a little piece of home decor the other day.  I had this frame that I loved the shape of, but didn't like the design on it.  So...can of spray paint and a few stamping supplies to the rescue!  This frame seriously took like 10 minutes to put together.  Here is the frame...

How cute and easy!  (Now...the Designer Series Paper that I used here is retired...sorry I didn't share this before it was!  But you can EASILY switch out any paper for whatever matches your decor.)  All I did was cut a piece of Designer Paper that fit in the frame (4"x4") and frame it.  Then use the "Hello You" Thinlits to cut out your "happy" word.  Just adhere that to the frame and display!  So easy and quick!

Hope you enjoy!  Hope you get inspired to use your stamping supplies to add some cheery to your decor!  :-)  Let me know if you have any questions!  designwithink@gmail.com

It's Birthday Favor Time...Part 2!

I shared a birthday treat in my last post HERE.  Well today I am sharing the favor we passed out as a thank you to all her friends that came to her birthday party.  We had it at a fun gymnastics place called "Lil' Flippers".  So I went with the theme for the favor.  I'm getting sick of the "knick-knack" things for favors.  I wanted to give something useful and fun.  So here is what I did...

FLIP FLOPS!  The tag says "Thank You for making my birthday "flipping" fantastic.  Who doesn't love a new pair of flip flops?!  Here they are in their bucket...

And a close-up of the tag...

Once again, My Digital Studio (MDS) to the rescue!  Like I said before...it is going away in just a few days!  So make sure you have all the downloads you need!  (You can use these with other programs!)  It is an amazing program and I am SO SAD it is retiring!!!!

It's Birthday Favor Time...

My daughter just celebrated her 9th birthday!  Thought I would share the treat we made for her class with you!  It was SUPER quick, and nothing special.  But it made my daughter feel special...and that is what is important!

I just made a tag and tied it on this fun and bright candy!  Here is a close-up of the tag...

I had to make 30 of these, so I had to have it quick.  My Digital Studio (MDS) to the rescue!  However...MDS is leaving us at the end of this month.  So if you need anything (you can use all the amazing downloads with other programs!), just let me know!  You could easily make this with regular cardstock and stamps as well.  So thought it would be fun to share!

Glimmer Balloon Birthday...

Want to see another fun and easy way to add some glimmer to your projects?!  This is all you need to do this technique...
A stamped piece of cardstock, a VersaMark pad, Iridescent Ice embossing powder, and a Heat Tool.  That is it!  You also could do this technique with a piece of Designer Series Paper (instead of the cardstock) and a make any design glimmery!

First step is to take your cardstock and just pounce the VersaMark all over the piece.  You want to cover it completely...

Then add Iridescent Ice embossing powder all over the image...

Then just heat set with your Heat Tool until it's glimmery!

How BEAUTIFUL is that??!  Then you just get to make a fun project with it!!!

How fun, huh?!  I hope you enjoyed this little technique!  Let me know if you have any questions!  designwithink@gmail.com  Thanks so much for visiting!!!
