I LOVE LOVE the new Candy Wrapper Die that is in the Mini catalog. It's quite fun to play with. For this little Halloween Treat, I changed it just a bit. Instead of twisting both ends closed...I made one of the ends into a box bottom by just cutting slits up the score lines (just to the first score line). Then adhered the ends together to make a little box like this...
Then you just fill it up with treats, and twist the top to hold it closed. Then for looks...I tied the ribbon around it. But it doesn't need it to keep it closed. That pumpkin is from the "Got Treats" set and the greeting is from the "Grateful Greetings" set. The colors are Peach Parfait, Wild Wasabi, Basic Black, and Whisper White. Oh...and I cut the Candy Wrapper out of cardstock and then ran it through the Big Shot again with the Spider Web embossing folder. Hi, Ashley!
Lydia Fiedler (my SU upline in Texas)sent me a link to your blog.
So, here is my question: What would you do, Ashley, if you were asked to show~teach a group of 20 to 40+ (church) ladies, about "scrap booking"...IF YOU HAD NEVER SCRAPBOOKED BEFORE?!
What "wow" layout could be used to demo and have that many women complete one(Christmas) page...ALL AT THE SAME TIME??
(My goal is to steer them back to 'card making'...in which I am more comfortable, and to get future class/club members and workshops members from this opportunity. Is there any such thing as a "WOW" scrap book page that would work in this kind of situation? Or is it impossible?
(Can you tell I'm in a panic?!)
Thanks for any help you can give this Ohio gal! -Mic
