Wish Wrapping...Wrapping of Techniques!

I don't know if you know this about me...but I LOVE having cute packaging for gift.  Now...of course I don't always get to decorating my gift bags and such.  But when I do...it makes my heart pitter patter.  This one I am about to show you is FULL of fun "texture" techniques.  Check it out:

Cardstock/Papers: Whisper White, Basic Black, Vellum Cardstock, Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper

Tools: Scallop Tag Topper Punch, Broadway Lights Dies, Aqua Painter, Pattern Party Decorative Masks, Palette Knives

Accessories: Whisper White Baker's Twine, Iridescent Sequin Assortment, Shimmery White Embossing Paste

First we are going to pause and say...how much more fun would  ^ THIS ^  bag be to receive than just a plain bag?!  So much more fun, right?!  Hee.  Also...this bag is filled with techniques...even though it may not look it at first.  Let me show you some more details pics.

First is the word.  It is die-cut from the Broadway Lights Dies (Item #146317).  But then...I covered it with a layer of the Fine-Tip Glue Pen (Item #138309) to make it all glossy/shiny/3D.  I love this fun technique!  I then adhered the word onto the bag...which I had done a layer of Shimmery White Embossing Paste.  LOVE the texture and fun this adds!

Now on to the tag:

This tag was SO much fun to make!!!  I started with a piece of the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.  Swoon...this paper is so lush and "soft" and beautiful to work with.  I know, the watercolor paper is white--right?!  Well this tag doesn't look very white, I know.  I did some watercoloring on this tag using the Pigment Sprinkles!!! These are SOOOOOO very fun!!!  I LOVE them!  You can do all sorts of things with them (which I will continue to share what you can do!), but for this tag...I simply just took some of the crystals and waterolored the whole watercolor paper piece.  Then...once it was dry, I just splattered some ink back onto it!  I love the backgound and how it looks!  Then I just finished the tag with a fussy cut balloon, fun saying & sequins!  😍  Now...I have another FUN technique to point out here.

CHECK OUT THAT BAKER'S TWINE!  You may be thinking...but Stampin' Up! doesn't have a bright yellow baker's twine!!!  So how did I get that twine?!  Well...I COLORED it!  With the Pineapple Punch Dark Blends Marker!  Did you know you could color your Whisper White Baker's Twine?!  Well you can!  I LOVE those Blends Markers!

Beautiful Friendship with July Club Project...

Have you seen the Beautiful Friendship Stamp Set (Item #149252)?!  If you haven't...you are about to.  Hee.  It is such a gorgeous stamp set.  It gives so much texture and definition with just one stamp.

This project I am about to share...I'm in love with!  I got this idea from Donna Griffith.  She works for Stampin' Up!'s home office.  She gave me a similar one--after I did my presentation at Stampin' Up!'s last On Stage Event. And I LOVED it.  It was such a fun idea, so cute & perfect for so many things.  So...I decided to make one with the Beautiful Friendship stamp set...and share it with my club gals.  It was our club project in July.

So here you go... the first part of the gift.  HOW CUTE is this cute little envelope & tag package...

I paired the stamp set with the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper (Item #149484).  I thought they worked great together!  But the fun part is when you open up the envelope...look what is inside:

There are three note cards & envelopes.  Yes...they are all stamped with the Beautiful Friendship Stamp Set.  Just how cute are they?!  I told you...such a gorgeous stamp set!!!  And again...it is so quick and easy.  I used the Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes (Item #131527) to make it even quicker and easier!  😁 Here is a picture of it all...

Above the Clouds With July Club Card...

July is almost over...I guess it is about time I share the club card we made at my monthly club gathering!  😁

It was all about watercoloring pencils for this card!  They are SO much fun to use!  The best colored pencils you will ever own.  They are great to just color with, but then add some water...and VOILA!!!  Watercoloring extravaganza!!!

We used them to color the hot air balloon (then just punched out with the coordinating Hot Air Balloon Punch!!!)...

As well as the watercolor wash background...

Have you noticed the darling Scalloped Note Cards & Envelopes (Item # 149610)  in Stampin' Up!'s Catalog?!  They are SO CUTE!!  I love them!  So decided to make a little set of note cards with them...

TGIF Challenge 221...Say It Isn't So:

It's Challenge day!  Who is ready!  And for me...this challenge was a DOOZY!!!!  First of all, it's SUMMER!!!  My FAVORITE season...the one I wish would NEVER end.  I don't want any reminder of time flying by and that some day this season will end.  So...here is the card I made to give you a hint as to why I did NOT like this challenge:

It's a CHRISTMAS challenge!!! 

Ugh!  I know, I know.  There are lots of people out there that look forward to Christmas all year long.  And love that so much.  I'm just not one of them.  Haha.  But if you are...you for sure have to participate in this challenge!  So I can see what you make!  😁 For my card...I HAD to go non-traditional.  I just did NOT have it in me to do red and green Christmas crazy.   Haha.  But...turns out...I kinda like it.  It's a fun card, whimsical & simple. 

And I love these deers.  And I love them in these fun colors:  Flirty Flamingo, Pineapple Punch, & Bermuda Bay.

Throw in a glittery greeting and you are TOTALLY festive...right?!  😁

I am going to head back into my "summer brain" way of life.  This season is the best and will never leave us!  Time to hit the pool!  😃

Perennial Essence Artistan Design Team Blog Hop...

I love this day of the month!!!  It is time to HOP ALONG on a Blog Hop with the Artisan Design Team!  Yay!  And this month is all about those florals!  We are using the Perennial Essence Suite of products!  We all had such a fun and unique take on things...I am sure you are going to love it all!  So let's get going!  If you just came from ANGELA'S BLOG...are you still swooning?!  😀  If so...or if you are just getting started...sure hope these projects make you swoon also:

I had so much fun with the Floral Essence Stamp Set (Item #149450) and the Perennial Flower Punch (Item #149522).  Also...not officially apart of the suite, but the Leaf Punch (Item #144667) coordinates also!

Check out these projects a little more up close.

This first standard size card makes my watercoloring soul squeal.  I love this technique!  You just stamp your images (make sure your ink pad is nice and juicy!) onto Watercolor Paper and then spritz with water.  Let the colors run a little and then dry with a heat tool.  Look how fun and artsy it looks!

I love how you can still see the detail of the flower, but you also get that fun watercolor vibe.

This pillow box would make such a fun little gift box for any birthday/wedding/thinking of you gift that you need to give!  The flowers are a breeze to make, thanks to some easy stamping and punching...

I stamped and then embossed the images (flowers and leaves) with Clear Embossing Powder...but you don't need to do that step.  I just liked the glossy look it gave.  And I wanted that glossy gold sentiment...so I was already doing some embossing so why not just keep going?!  Hee.

And I LOVE that Scalloped Lace Trim that is wrapped around the whole box.  😍  It is so elegant and gorgeous!

Last up...a little 3"x3" note card!  These are such great notes to throw in a lunch, drop at a friends doorstep to brighten their day, attach to a gift...whatever you need!

Beautiful Friendship Turned Home Decor...

I recently shared the swap I made for Stampin' Up!'s Greece Incentive Trip in THIS POST.  Well...I kinda loved it and wanted to be reminded of it...so I made a little home decor piece in the same design!  It is a small one...just 4" x 6"...but I think it is precious.  And a good reminder of how versatile these fun papercrafting supplies of ours are.  😀

Challenge Card Encore!

I posted a card for a color challenge for TGIF Challenges a bit ago.  The post is HERE if you need a reminder.  😀  Well...I really liked that card but it was very girly.  I had the thought to see what it would look like as a masculine card.  So that was my inspiration for this card...men love sequins too, right?!

I LOVE the colors on this...and how the Navy looks with this watercolor technique.  (Stamp with a nice and juicy pad onto Watercolor Paper.  Then spritz with water and watch the colors bleed.  Hit it with a heat tool to dry and finish your card!)  Just look at all this color variation...

And this stamp set is one of my faves!!!!  Everyone needs to be reminded of this!!

(And love that peep of bright green corrugated pop of color!)

Copper Love and Petals...

I love these colors together...Flirty Flamingo & Mango Melody.  They are so cute and fresh feeling!!! Then bring in my Melon Mambo, and I just love it!!!

In the Tags kit...you get the best twine (and Copper Library Clips!!!!).  You receive three different spools of twine in the kit.  And to get the twine I used here, I just pulled the Granny Apple Green twine apart to get just the green threads (it has white and green together).  I love this look!  And then paired with those tag pieces....seriously just love it!
