Whale Watching Sketch Time! TGIF Challenge #437

Who loves a sketch challenge?! πŸ™‹ Yes, yes - I do too.  Hee.  Well...at least I hope you do. Because we have such a fun one for you this week over at the TGIF Challenge Blog!  The other designers and I have had a great time using this sketch to make some cards of inspiration for you!  And now we can't wait to see what you make! So check out my card, then head over to the TGIF Challenge Blog to see the others!  Then we would love you to make your own & submit it on our blog!

My card today is using two ☆NEW☆ stamp sets in the ☆BRAND NEW☆  Holiday Mini Catalog from Stampin' Up!  The main one is the Whale Watching Stamp Set and the greetings are from the Curved Occasions Stamp Set.

Colors Bubble Bath, Coastal Cabana, Crumb Cake, Basic White, Basic Black
Inks: Coastal Cabana, Bubble Bath, StazOn Black
Cardstock/Papers: Basic White, Crumb Cake, Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper
Stamps: Whale Watching, Curved Occasions (greeting)
Tools:  Deckled Circles Dies, Basics Embossing Folder
Accessories: Iridescent Pearl Basics Jewels, Linen Thread

I love the ocean & most things living in it.  πŸ˜  So of course I had to have this set.  And it is official...I'm obsessed with it.  And I am obsessed with this sketch!  πŸ˜  Hee.

A little tip for the waves.  I first just stamped each of the wave images twice on Basic White Cardstock in Coastal Cabana Ink.  Then I took a Blending Brush and added some of the same color to the waves.  Finally - I added some glitter with the Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush.

(Yes...I did stamp the one set of waves upside down.  Haha.)

Just cut them out, layer them on your project, and there you have some stunningly gorgeous waves on your project!

You may be asking yourself where I got the paper that I used for the Deckled Circle that grounds the whole card.  Hint...I used a Blending Brush here also!  I took a piece of the Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper and blended some Bubble Bath Ink over the whole piece.  I LOVE how this looks and softens the design.

I hope you enjoy this card!  Head on over to the TGIF Challenge Blog now to see what the other designers made & to play along! Can't wait to see!  Please let me know if you have any questions!

Thank you so much for visiting!
