Layers of Blues Meet Ocean Friends!

It is no secret I love the ocean & I love the Ocean Friends Suite from Stampin' Up!  (It is in the Jan-April 2025 Mini Catalog if you haven't seen it yet.) For this card today though ... I am not using the colors from the suite!  Which is a little shocking because I LOVE the colors of the suite.  But anyway ... went all in with blue!  And I LOVE LOVE LOVE how it turned out.

All supplies are from ©️ Stampin' Up!

Colors Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, Azure Afternoon, Basic White, Basic Black
Inks: Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, Azure Afternoon, VersaMark
Cardstock/Papers: Azure Afternoon, Basic Black, Basic White
Stamps: Ocean Friends
Tools:  Ocean Friends Dies, Soft Waves Embossing Folder, Heat Tool, Linked Together Decorative Masks, Palette Knives
Accessories: Baker's Twine Essentials Pack, Iridescent Faceted Gems, Shimmery White Embossing Paste, Basics WOW! Embossing Powder

I started by layering color onto a piece of Basic White cardstock using ink and Blending Brushes.  The colors are:  Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, Azure Afternoon.  Then I splattered some water on it for an organic "ocean-y" bubble vibe.  Let that dry and stamp your images!

I added another fun layer after it was all dry.  Can you tell what it is?!  Not an embossing folder, but instead ... EMBOSSING PASTE!  I haven't used this in awhile & I don't know why.  Because it is SO MUCH FUN!  I just laid down one of the Linked Together Decorative Masks over the inked & stamped cardstock and added the paste.  Let dry then voila!  Gorgeous shimmery, 3D but not bulky, layer! Love the detail it adds to this card too!

Also ... words can't express just how much I love this big coral die cut.  I don't think I will ever be sick of it.  NOTE: the little scallop detail under the greeting is a piece of the wave die cut that is in the coordinating dies!

One last look at the full card! 😍

I really hope you enjoy this card!  Thank you so much for visiting!  If you have any questions ... please don't hesitate to reach out and ask!  I would love to help!

If you need any fabulous Stampin' Up! products ... would be happy to help with that too!
