It Is Memory Time!!!

Do you ever make cards based on a memory?!  Well that was the challenge for today's #30daycardmakingchallenge!  And it was FUN!  Right before we were quarantined, I got to take an AMAZING trip to the Bahamas with my best friend.  And I got to do my FAVORITE thing...scuba dive!  I got to dive every day and I LOVED IT!  So that was what my card was based on today:

SUPPLIES:  (all items are available in my STORE!)

Colors: Purple Posy, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, Pacific Point, Soft Sea Foam, Petal Pink, Gray Granite
Inks:  Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, Pacific Point, Soft Sea Foam, Petal Pink, Highland Heather, Gray Granite, VersaMark, BLENDS: Purple Posy Light & Dark
Cardstock/Papers:  Gray Granite, Purple Posy, Soft Sea Foam, Bermuda Bay, Shimmery White, Vellum, Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper
Stamps: Sea of Textures, Seaside Notions, Peaceful Moments
Tools: Stitched Rectangle Dies, Under the Sea Dies, Smooth Sailing Dies, High Seas 3D Embossing Folder, Heat Tool, Aqua Painter
AccessoriesWhite Stampin' Emboss Powder, Woven Threads Sequin Assortment, Petal Pink 5/8" Organdy Striped Ribon

It is all about under the sea today!  And I had to use this greeting because that is exactly what I do every day...I think of the ocean (and being under it exploring it) with all my heart.  Every. Single. Day.  😍😍😍  I love the layers and texture under the ocean, so that is what I wanted to do with this card.

I used a variety of stamp sets and dies to get all the layers.  The seahorse is colored with Blends.  I stamped and embossed the background grass.  The Soft Sea Foam grass I die-cut then used a stamp from the Sea of Textures Stamp Set to stamp the texture.  😍

Then I took the Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon and pleated it behind the greeting to add a little more texture also.

The background I did a watercolor wash with Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, and Pacific Point:

I hope you enjoy this card!  Are you playing along?!  I hope so!  This challenge has been so much fun and has been the motivation for me to get in my craft room these days...which is doing great things for my mental game!  😀

As a bonus...here are a few pics from my scuba diving trips I took just a few months ago (and yet it feels like a lifetime ago).

Man even those pictures just make my heart happy!  Thanks for this memory challenge, Martin!  And thank you for visiting!  Please let me know if you have any questions on anything!  I would love to help you with all your papercrafting needs!

Advenutre Silhouettes...

Here we go with Day 19 of the #30daycardmakingchallenge!  And this one is a FUN one!  As soon as I saw what the challenge was, I knew just what I wanted to use.  The sentiment on this card has NEVER felt more accurate to me.  Because it is talking about two things I am missing SOOOO SOOOO MUCH with this quarantine life we are living...

SUPPLIES:  (all items are available in my STORE!)

Colors: Whisper White, Granny Apple Green, Pineapple Punch, Mango Melody, Flirty Flamingo
Inks:  Granny Apple Green, Pineapple Punch, Mango Melody, Flirty Flamingo, Night of Navy, VersaMark, BLENDS: Mango Melody Dark
Cardstock/Papers:  Thick Whisper White, Basic Black, Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper
Stamps: Silhouette Scenes
Tools: Sweet Silhouette Dies, Stitched Rectangle Dies, Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder, Heat Tool, Aqua Painter
AccessoriesWhite Stampin' Emboss Powder, Iridescent Sequin Assortment, Whisper White Baker's Twine, Silver 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon

So do you agree?!  "Life was meant for good friends & great adventures," RIGHT?!?!  😀  What adventures do you go on when we can leave the house again?! 😊

Can you tell what the challenge is?!  It is a Seek Adventure challenge!  Perfect for right now, right?!  Let's think of some fun things to do when this is all over to give us something to look forward to!

I am super in love with the watercoloring on this card.  (Am I allowed to say that?!)  It just was a lot of fun to do.  The sky was done with Pineapple Punch (my favorite yellow ink ever!), Mango Melody, and Flirty Flamingo.  The grass area is Granny Apple Green. Then I added some splatter with Night of Navy.

And how about those sweet silhouettes?!  They are embossed with the Shimmer Black Stampin' Emboss Powder...and it is so much fun to see it shimmer.

CAN WE TALK ABOUT THAT ADVENTURE WORD.  😍 I kinda love how that turned out also.  I just die-cut it using the Sweet Silhouettes Dies, then glued it back in place!  So it kinda looks embossed and just adds some fun subtle texture.

This really may be my new favorite saying...

It just took the words right out of my heart!!!! 😀

And are you wondering where this ribbon is from?!

I colored it with a Blends Marker!  The Dark Mango Melody marker, to be exact.  😀

I hope you enjoy this card!  I also hope you play along with this challenge!  It is so much fun!  Please let me know if you have any questions!  Would also love to help you with any of your papercrafting needs!

It is time for Day 17 of the #30daycardchallenge!  This one was a challenge, because there really is NO color...and I LOVE color!  This card is all about black, white, and gray...well silver.

And if you haven't gotten the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch yet...GET IT NOW!  You need it before it retires!  😀  I LOVE adding this little scallop to my projects.  It is such a fun detail and so quick to do!

Label Me Birthday Rainbow Sketch...

What is better than a birthday wish?!  Well...a RAINBOW Birthday wish, right?!  Today for #30daycardmakingchallenge...there is a fun card sketch!  However...I kinda switched things up!  First I will show you the card I made:

SUPPLIES:  (all items are available in my STORE!)

Colors: Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Mango Melody, Pineapple Punch, Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana, Gorgeous Grape, Pool Party, Pretty Peacock
Inks:  Melon Mambo, Mango Melody, Pineapple Punch, Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana, Gorgeous Grape, Pool Party, VersaMark
Cardstock/Papers:  Pretty Peacock, Whisper White
Stamps: Label Me Bold
Tools: Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder, Flourish Dies, Stitched Rectangle Dies, Heat Tool, Sponge
AccessoriesWhite Stampin' Emboss Powder, Iridescent Sequin Assortment, Whisper White Baker's Twine
Now let me share the sketch:

So you can tell I switched things up a bit.  I flipped the layout, so it was vertical.  Then changed the position a bit of the focal point.  I loved making this card and love all the little details.  Like that subtle flower behind the focal point greeting...I just cut it out in the same color cardstock as I made the card front.  (Pretty Peacock)

And I LOVE that background that the "Happy Birthday" greetings are all adhered to.  I stamped flowers in VersaMark ink onto Whisper White cardstock.  I then embossed them with White Embossing Powder, and sponged over it with Pool Party ink.  Love it!

Then those stamped greetings from the Label Me Stamp Set...stamped in rainbow colors...why YES!  I love a good rainbow!  Hee.

I so hope you enjoy this card!  Thank you so much for visiting!  Please let me know if you have any questions!  Would love to help you!

Very Vintage Textures...

Hey! Hey! Hey!  How are you today?! It is time for Day 15 of the #30daycardmakingchallenge!  And it's all about Vintage for today!  (NOT an easy challenge for me!  This actually came together fairly quickly, thankfully, but not normally easy for me!)  Thanks to the Tasteful Textures Stamp Set!

SUPPLIES:  (all items are available in my STORE!)

Colors: Pool Party, Petal Pink, Soft Sea Foam, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso
Inks:  Pool Party, Petal Pink, Soft Sea Foam, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Pumpkin Pie Marker
Cardstock/Papers:  Very Vanilla, Pool Party, Crumb Cake, Petal Pink, Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, Gold Foil Sheets
Stamps: Tasteful Textures, Free As A Bird
Tools: Stitched So Sweetly Dies, Tin Tile 3D Embossing Folder, Aqua Painter
AccessoriesWoven Threads Sequin Assortment, Very Vanilla 3/8" Scalloped Lace Trim, Linen Thread

Vintage isn't really where I thrive.  I really like color, and bright ones at that.  But I did really end up liking this card a whole lot.  I love the subtle color in the back.  And those fun birdies.  😁

To make these cute little guys...I just stamped them onto Watercolor Paper in Early Espresso ink.  Then I just took an Aqua Painter and just spread the ink around the birdie.  I colored the beak with Pumpkin Pie marker.  ***Tip:  to get the reverse image (like I did with the birdie on the right), ink up the stamp, stamp into onto the Silicone Mat, and then press whatever cardstock (or in this case, Watercolor Paper) onto the image and rub to transfer the ink to the paper.  So easy!

I love the stamped background and the fun touch of this lace and twine bow.

A few notes on stamping the background:
  • I stamped the damask image onto Very Vanilla using the following ink colors:  Pool Party, Petal Pink, & Soft Sea Foam.
  • Splatter Crumb Cake ink all over the cardstock.
  • Use an edge of the scissors to distress the edges.
  • Sponge Crumb Cake ink on the edges and all over the cardstock.
One last view:

I hope you enjoy!  And come play along!!!

Very Vanilla Meets Whisper White...the Challenge Is On!

Yes!  We are still going with the #30daycardmakingchallenge!!! Are you playing along?!  I HOPE SO!  It is so much fun!  Today is Day 14...and this challenge is especially fun for me.  Martin and I got into a discussion one day (after he had posted a poll about this very thing) about whether or not Very Vanilla & Whisper White could "live together" on the same card.  I kinda love that he added this to his challenges! 😀 So let's hear your thoughts?!  Can they ever go together?!  Here was my result...

SUPPLIES:  (all items are available in my STORE!)

Colors: Whisper White, Very Vanilla
Inks:  VersaMark
Cardstock/Papers:  Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Thick Very Vanilla, Basic Black
Stamps: Daisy Lane
Tools: Heat Tool, Stitched Nested Labels Dies, Magnolia Memory Dies (leaves), Daisy Punch, Medium Daisy Punch, Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder
AccessoriesWhite Stampin' Emboss Powder, Whisper White 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon, Glitter Enamel Dots

I had a different vision in my head, so I think I may do this one again.  Haha.  But I am still going to share this.  Vanilla background with Whisper White flowers.  And had to add a little pop of color to the center.

I stamped (Daisy Lane Stamp Set!) and embossed the flowers in White Stampin' Emboss Powder on Whisper White cardstock. Then just punch them out with the Daisy Punch & the Medium Daisy Punch.

Thank you so much for visiting! Can't wait to see what you make for this challenge!

Please let me know if you have any questions on anything!  I would love to help you with all your papercrafting needs!
