Yes, Father's Day has passed. I apologize that I am just now sharing this card! However this is a great card, in my opinion, to use any time of year! 😃 Just switch the greeting! So without further ado ... here is the card I made for my Dad for Father's Day!
There is a bit of color variation on the trees, if you can tell, and this is how I did that:
🌲 Ink up tree stamp in Lemon Lime Twist. Lay the stamp block down, with the stamp facing UP onto stamping surface.
🌲 Ink a Sponge Dauber in Granny Apple Green ink. Pounce onto a few random places on the stamp.
🌲 Stamp onto cardstock where desired. Repeat for more stamps, creating your background!
🌲 Add splatter using Pecan Pie ink & Water Painter - after the green ink has dried. Just squeeze ink pad together, before opening, creating a little "pool" of ink in the lid. Squeeze a little water into the brush, pick up some ink, and flick brush in the lid over the project, creating splatter.
🌲 For more texture - after ink has dried - run it through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine with desired embossing folder!
I love how there is so much texture created, without a lot of extra layers. Extra layers are great also ... so feel free to do that if that is wanted! This is just another option. 😁
I just finished the card by distressing the edges, and curling a few with my bone folder. Then tied some twine around, added the greeting & some sequins, and added a layer of fun woodgrain paper behind the main card front panel.
What is your fave detail?!
Thank you so much for visiting! I hope you enjoyed this card and you found some sort of inspiration in it! Please let me know if you have any questions or I can help you with anything! Would love to help you with your papercrafting needs! And if you need help getting any Stampin' Up! supplies ... and live in the US ... please let me know!
