So I am about to head to bed and what do I decide to do?! Check Kristina's blog. (Now that we are on a first name basis after meeting at convention! :) ) And of course, her Color Inspiration is up. So what do I do instead of head to bed?! Why STAMP, of course! :) It's late, so this might not be the best time to have inspiration. But something popped into my head, so I had to try! :) This is what came out...
Stamps: Pretty Petals Background Stamp, Hugs and Wishes
Stamps: Pretty Petals Background Stamp, Hugs and Wishes
Ink: VersaMark
Card Stock: Basic Black, Green Galore
Accessories: Flower Fusion, White 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, Rhinestone Brad, Black Embossing Powder
Now...I don't know if you can tell so much in the background of the card (so I did add another picture on the bottom of this post so hopefully you can see it better) but I embossed the background stamp with black embossing powder. So it's kinda shimmery and fabulous in real life. :) And you might be wondering how I have that Rose Red 1/4" grosgrain ribbon from the new catty already! (Yes...that's right! There WILL be 1/4" Rose Red grosgrain in the new catalog that starts on August 11th!) Well....the secret is...I don't. :) I just died the Whisper White. I opened up my ink pad, laid my ribbon on it, held it with a sponge, and then dragged the ribbon across the ink pad. I did it a few times, and VOILA! Rose Red ribbon. Makes having any color of ribbon possible! I love this trick. :) And by the way...this is a 4-1/4" square card. Here is hopefully a better pic of the background...
